Top Line

Columbus One – Gustav Nyquist, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Nick Foligno

Since this is a one-game slate, we will focus on one mainline tonight. Ottawa has had extreme road and home splits this season and Columbus is a heavy -200 favorite. Oliver Bjorkstrand is now on the injured reserve list, so the Blue Jackets are missing one of their best weapons. That means that everyone else will have to step their game up. We don’t have much of a sample on this line without Bjorkstrand, however, they should see a lot of ice time and all three have a second correlation on the first power-play unit. If you want to be contrarian given that it is a one-game slate, go for the Senators. However, in cash lines and many tournaments lines as well, this is the line you just eat.

2/24 NHL DraftKings Rankings “Non-Captain Prices”

  1. Elvis Merzilikins – Columbus Blue Jackets – $11,200
  2. Zach Werenski – Columbus Blue Jackets – $9,400
  3. Pierre-Luc Dubois – Columbus Blue Jackets – $8,400
  4. Brady Tkachuk – Ottawa Senators – $9,800
  5. Boone Jenner – Columbus Blue Jackets – $7,600

2/24 NHL FanDuel Rankings

  1. Zach Werenski – Columbus Blue Jackets – $14,000
  2. Pierre-Luc Dubois – Columbus Blue Jackets – $12,000
  3. Boone Jenner – Columbus Blue Jackets – $9,000
  4. Thomas Chabot – Ottawa Senators – $11,500
  5. Brady Tkachuk – Ottawa Senators – $14,500

Brady Tkachuk, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Zach Werenski – Over 2.5 Points – The daily 2.5 point bet is down to 34/54 now as the small slates can certainly make life tougher due to a lack of options. This might be a good night to sit out with only a single game but here is a lineup in case you’re thinking about giving it a go.

A big part of my life is my three kids. Each one of them holds a different attribute that I would personally use to aid me in deciding what picks to make. My twins Pork and Ribs and their little brother Bean (not their real names but very appropriate nicknames).

Pork is a doer. He is one to dive into a situation and figure it out as it unfolds, usually with great success. In terms of the puck pick, it will be a gut feeling pick and be backed with some stats to explain the feeling.

Ribs, he likes to observe the situation, take in all the information, and then make an educated decision on what his next step will be. His puck pick will be focused around teams that are on hot streaks, either against a team in a matchup or on a winning streak.

Now Bean may sound cute and innocent, but he is a wild man. Not a lot of thought goes into actions and if there is some thought, its geared towards “how can I push Dad’s buttons”. His puck pick will be a little more on the risky side. There will be reasons why I think we should go this way.

As cook by trade and hockey as a passion since I was 3 years old, let’s get some puck picks in the oven and make some dough shall we?

All odds are referenced from vegasinsider.com. The source of information comes from Newsday.sports.gracenote.com unless otherwise specified. I will play ALL the picks mentioned in these articles.

Puck Record for February (47-43)

Puck Recap: Saturday night (3-1)

First of all Congratulations to The Great Eight Alex Ovechkin on goal number seven hundred! What a fantastic feat! Also congratulations to Zamboni driver and emergency puck stopper David Ayres for collecting his first win with an eight save performance in twenty-eight minutes of action to beat the Leafs six to three. I would love an experience like that! How do I get that job? The loss on the day was handed out by the Tampa Bay Lightning who got smoked seven three in the Arizona desert. Colorado snuck out a shootout win against the King in LA. Carter Hart and the Flyers took care of business against the Jets at home in Philadelphia by a four to two score, and Las Vegas won… that is all. On to today’s Puck Action!

Pork’s Puck Pick- New York Islanders -190

Even though the Islanders came out of their goal-scoring woes against Detroit in their last game, I see this being a low scoring contest. Both teams have struggled to put the puck on the net. Defensively the Islanders are much better and healthier in that department. The Islanders hold the fifth lowest goals against per game and score the twenty-second most goals per game, where the Sharks are twenty-eighth in goals per game and twenty-sixth in goals against. Even with the emergence of puck stopper Aaron Dell, I still like the Islanders’ potential scoring power of that of the Sharks. Take the Islanders on the money line

Rib’s Puck Pick- St. Louis—115

The Blues seem to be back on a winning streak, winning their last three straight contests. Coming off of a five to one win over the defensive-minded Dallas Stars. In the two previous meetings between these clubs this season, the Blues have won both. For Minnesota, the return home after a two-win road trip, where they have lost their last two home games. This game for me comes down two who has the better puck stopper and with both of the St. Louis goalies holding down the eighth spot in the league, seventeen spots better than the Wild’s tenders, the edge is definitely in the Blues favor.

Bean’s Puck Pick- Calgary Flames- PUCK LINE –1/-136

The flames have been a much better team on the road than they have been at home in the dome this year. With a record of four wins and only one loss in their last five road games, and the loss coming on a back to back, I see the road wins increasingly and their minus eleven goal differential shrinking as well. In the most recent three meetings, Calgary has won by scores of five to three, six to four and most recently five to one. Not to step on the Daily Hot Shot or NHL Stack and Track but keep an eye on Calgary’s second line, specifically Backlund and Mangiapane who have been on an absolute puck mashing tear as of late. History is on our side taking the Flames on the puck line

Houston’s Puck Pick- Dallas Stars- 200 3 pm Eastern start!!

Houston is taking his home state Dallas Stars to send the Chicago Blackhawks home with their tails between their legs. Cory Crawford has struggled to win only one of his last five starts. Dallas should come out firing after losing to the St Louis Blues 5-1 at home on Friday night. The matchup is 1-1 this year with both home teams winning. This comes down to defense and goaltending. It will not help that Eric Gustafsson is being held out for a potential trade. I believe that Dallas’ offensive production picks up and they fire more pucks passed Chicago to take the win.

Zak’s Puck Pick- Edmonton Oilers -139

Going back to the oil well here. Hopefully, they don’t disappoint again as we strike it rich. The King’s are coming off of a shootout loss last night to the Colorado Avalanche (something is odd with the Av’s but we’ll ponder that later). Connor McDavid is still listed as uncertain to play in this one, and it would seem strange to rush him back for this game. Ryan Nugent Hopkins and Leon Draisaitl have been really good in the absence of McDavid and should continue their solid play against a Kings team looking to rebuild and gather assets at the trade deadline. It appears as though rookie puck stopper Calvin Petersen is slated to get the start for LA. He has had some good numbers at home recently however hasn’t faced the number one power play in the league yet. I think this one will be low scoring with the Oilers taking home a win.

NHL Update

The NHL Playoff picture is beginning to take shape. With about 70% of the season behind us here are your division leaders and their respective Stanley Cup Odds. The Capitals have maintained their points lead over the surging Penguins, while the Lightning has won 8 in a row in an attempt to catch the Bruins. All 4 teams see their odds stay about the same to win the Stanley Cup, while the entire Pacific Division attempts to sort out who will represent them in the playoffs and who will settle for a Wildcard spot.

Top Two Lines

Calgary One – Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, Elias Lindholm

Calgary Two – Matthew Tkachuk, Mikael Backlund, Andrew Mangiapane

On a small four-game slate, Calgary’s top two lines hover over everything. The top line is still underpriced on Draftkings, so I would try to get any exposure to them over there. The Flames implied goal total of 3.56 is the highest on the slate and despite being on the road, any time you play the Red Wings, it’s a good matchup.

The other night, it was the Flames’ second line that went off, led by an early two-goal barrage by Mikael Backlund. This line is cheap and can be used alongside Calgary One in a super stack of sorts, or paired with an expensive line from another team such as Golden Knights top line, or Edmonton one. Considering the fact that Jonathan Bernier was in net for the Wings the other night, wouldn’t it befitting that the very night Saul Goodman returns to television, that “Slipping Jimmy” Howard takes the net for Detroit? One can hope.

2/23 NHL DraftKings Rankings

  1. Leon Draisaitl – Edmonton Oilers – $8,400

  1. Shea Theodore – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $6,300
  2. Colton Parayko – St. Louis Blues – $5,900 “If Alex Pietrangelo is still out”

2/23 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk, Kevin Fiala – Over 2.5 Points – The daily 2.5 point bet is unfortunately down to 34/53 now, as Auston Matthews did not do his job. Tonight, unfortunately, the star shootout is broken up into two game blocks so I would tread lighter than usual. However, rolling with two Flames representing each of the top lines makes sense.

Top Two Lines

New York One – Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Pavel Buchnevich

One of nature’s unstoppable forces, the Rangers top line refuses to slow their roll. Last night, Mika Zibanejad put up another three-point effort, with three blocked shots and five shots on goal for both sets of DraftKings bonuses as well. The line has nine full line goals over their last ten games ranking them second in the NHL over that duration. The Rangers are a -170 favorite despite being on the back to back, complete with a 3.66 implied goal total. A weak schedule as of late has allowed San Jose to mask it’s injury problems, but their shortcomings may come to the forefront tonight.

Las Vegas One – Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty, William Karlsson

This line is finally the Las Vegas top line, despite its core being so in theory for much longer. I am still waiting on a larger sample size of data regarding the addition of William Karlsson alongside Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty as opposed to Chandler Stephenson or Paul Statsny. Nonetheless, I’d expect the end results to be good. The Panthers lost a shootout the other night in Los Angeles 5-4 and continue their western road trip against the Knights. Florida has allowed plenty of goals on the road this season, and we could be in for another high scoring affair. The Golden Knights 3.79 implied goal is the second-highest on the slate, behind only Colorado’s 3.85.

2/22 NHL DraftKings Rankings

Forwards

  1. Mika Zibanejad – New York Rangers – $7,600
  2. Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche – $8,500
  3. Auston Matthews – Toronto Maple Leafs – $8,300
  4. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $7,700
  5. Mark Stone – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $6,500
  6. Chris Kreider – New York Rangers – $6,100

Defensemen

  1. Brent Burn – San Jose Sharks – $7,300
  2. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $7,500
  3. Shea Theodore – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $5,900
  4. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,700
  5. Markus Nutivaara – Columbus Blue Jackets – $2,900

Goalies

  1. Andrei Vasilevskiy – Tampa Bay Lightning – $8,000
  2. Elvis Merzlikins – Columbus Blue Jackets – $7,200

2/22 NHL FanDuel Rankings

Forwards

  1. Mika Zibanejad – New York Rangers – $8,300
  2. Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche – $8,900
  3. Auston Matthews – Toronto Maple Leafs – $8,800
  4. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $7,700
  5. Chris Kreider – New York Rangers – $6,800
  6. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $9,100

Defensemen

  1. Brent Burns – San Jose Sharks – $6,700
  2. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $6,400
  3. Shea Theodore – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $5,400
  4. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,400
  5. Ryan Graves – Colorado Avalanche – $4,200

Goalies

  1. Hunter Miska – Colorado Avalanche – $7,100
  2. Andrei Vasilevskiy – Tampa Bay Lightning – $9,300

Mika Zibanejad, Nikita Kucherov, Auston Matthews – Over 2.5 Points – The daily 2.5 point bet is up to 34/52 now. If we opt to choose skaters from the main slate, we can grab studs such as these three listed above.

Puck Record for February (42-40) Friday night (2-3)

Pork’s Puck Pick- Philadelphia Flyers-139 1:00 PM EASTERN START!!

The home team has won nine of the last ten in this matchup between these two. The Flyers have won five of their last six at home. Carter Hart has also puck stopped his way to four victories in his last five starts. Winnipeg has three straight wins against Ottawa, LA and Chicago win that they need to have, however not quite the quality of competition that Philly will provide. The Flyers have also been better in both penalty kill and power play stats, so if special teams play a factor, Philadelphia holds that edge as well. As much firepower as these teams have, I see this being lower scoring due to the strength of the team defense the Flyers play at home.

Rib’s Puck Pick- Tampa Bay Lightning -155

The Tampa Bay Lightning are fresh off a loss that ended their eleven game winning streak. They should, however, get their first line centerman in Braden Point back who missed the last game with the flu.  Arizona has two wins in their last six contests and has really struggled to put the puck in the back of the net. They need to find a way to get Hall, Kessel, and Keller going again. On the other side Lightning captain Steven Stamkos has been red hot thirteen straight games racking up twelve goals and eight assists in that span. This is not the second night of a back to back for them, so they should be well-rested for this battle in the desert.

Bean’s Puck Pick- Montreal Canadiens -127

Montreal has won five of their last six meetings against the Senators and is coming off a solid won against the Washington Capitals. With Brendan Gallagher back in the mix, this team looks as strong as they have this season. Currently sitting fifth in the Atlantic Division, the Canadians are on the outside of the playoff picture with a slim chance to still make the post-season dance. Winning games like this one that they should win is a good step in keeping that window open. Ottawa has won their last two straight at home with wins over Dallas and Buffalo. They have been playing some inspired hockey not so much against desperate hockey clubs. I see the hockey gods granting Montreal’s prayer and having them walk out of the Canadian Tire Centre with a win.

Houston’s Puck Pick- Las Vegas Golden Knights -195

I literally just apologized to Javi Prellezo for taking this bet. I am officially dead to him. I just can’t argue with the four straight wins at home and Beating the likes of Tampa Bay (ending their eleven game win streak) Washington, the Islanders and St. Louis. That is no easy feat. I’m not going to say much about the Panthers. Their top line has come alive and Barkov and Huberdeau look to be back on track. Coming off a back to back loss to the LA Kings and having some issues keeping the puck out of their net, they might look at making a move for a solid backup goaltender at the deadline for a playoff push. Again I’m apologizing, but take Vegas on the money line. Go Panthers! Maybe Vanbiesbrouck is available?

Top Expensive Line

Carolina One – Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, Teuvo Teravainen

I am listing this line with the caveat that if it is Igor Shesterkin in the opposing net, it is more of a tossup for me between them and Edmonton One, who I also like a lot. Overall, you probably get slightly more for your dollar with this perpetually underpriced line, facing a Rangers team that plays super open hockey. Carolina is a decent -170 favorite and there is no question which of their lines possesses the most talent. Sebastian Aho has been experiencing some positive regression, which can likely be attributed in part to the Hurricane’s current consolidation of talent on that top line.

Top Value and “OVERALL” Line

New York Islanders One – Jordan Eberle, Anders Lee, Matt Barzal

The Islanders have had a fairly rough road stretch so they will be very happy to return home. I attended the Colorado loss the other night and it wasn’t really that bad as the shots on goals were about even. The Avs got great goaltending and had a few amazing moments, including a Nathan MacKinnon blast from the blue line. However, you couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to bounce back than getting to host the pathetic Red Wings.

You can mess with the second line as they are a strong play as well, and likely lower owned. Nevertheless, this is mainline for a team not exactly known for its offensive prowess. The Islanders are -320 favorite which is massive for hockey standards. The last time that the Islanders hosted the Red Wings back on January 14th, the Isles crushed them 8-2; yes that is not a typo. If Jimmy Howard is in net, it is an extra cherry on top.

Puck Record for February (40-37) Friday night (3-1)

Vancouver might be on my No play list joining the Buffalo Sabres. Not that a shootout loss is something to be overly upset about, however every time I pick them the disappoint. Boston Pulled out an overtime victory over the surprising Oilers who have been playing some solid pick lately. The Dallas Stars victory and the + bet on the Rangers pulled through for a decent money day! On to today’s puck action!

Pork’s Puck Pick- Florida Panthers -136

Florida has beaten the King’s in their last three matchups, one of those being at the Staples Center in LA. This is where these two will drop the puck tonight. Not of these teams have only won three of their last ten games and have been quite inconsistent. Usually, I wouldn’t take a team on the second half of a back to back, however, after the trades LA has made recently, their depth has become quite thin. With the strength of Tallent in Florida, I’m sure they can sweep their southern California road trip.

Rib’s Puck Pick- Tampa Bay Lightning-110

This line is surprising a little to me. Not sure how you can put a team on a 10 game win streak at only -110, even if it is on the road. By the look of DailyFaceoff.com, Blake Coleman will make his debut on the left side of the third line adding to the rich ability to put the puck in the net for the Lightning. The Golden Knights have won their last three games at home and are first in the league in shots on net per game. However Tampa Bay sits first in the league in goals per game and faith overall in goals against per game. Compare that with Vegas who ranks fifteenth in goals and twelfth in goals against.  This, I don’t believe is the game that ends the Lightning’s winning streak as that are only getting stronger in chasing Boston for First overall in the Atlantic Conference

 Bean’s Puck Pick-New Jersey Devils -112

This pick, I promise you is not a homer pick and here is why. Martin-Jones is confirmed to start for the Sharks and his numbers have not been stellar since last year’s playoffs. With a 14-17-2 record and 3.15 goals-against average spells out that he has struggled to stop the puck. With only two wins in his last ten starts, and the Sharks sitting twenty-seventh out of thirty-one in goals per game. Where the Devils are only one spot ahead in goals per game at twenty sixth, puck stopper Mackenzie Blackwood has won his last four straight and has pretty good consistently since returning from injury. After losing one of their best defenders recently in Erik Karlsson, I’m not sure San Jose can muster up enough offense to beat the Devils tonight.

Houston’s Puck Pick – Philadelphia Flyers +110

We’re still trying to figure out who Houston is, however, he made a solid pick last time so let’s give this greyhound another run tonight. Philly has won three of their last five against the Columbus Blue Jackets. One of those victories came in Columbus back on November twenty-ninth. Columbus was having success with their defensive play, however, their last six straight losses they have allowed twenty goals in that span. In those six games, they have only put ten pucks in their opponent’s net. As the narrative this year seems to be that Carter Hart struggles on the road they have won three of their last six road games and have been scoring goals with regularity. With the struggles of Columbus lately I am going to go with the hotter hand here.

Zak’s Puck Pick- Pittsburgh Penguins +108

The Leafs are falling at the wrong time of the season. Winning two of their last five and three of the last ten they have been struggling. Toronto has yet another injury to forward Andreas Johnsson not helping improve their losing ways. The worry for me here is if Evgeni Malkin is healthy enough to play for the Penguins after being a late scratch due to an illness. After a five to two beating the Penguins laid on the Leafs in Pennsylvania, I think they will be able to pull out another victory with their recent ability to put the puck in the net.

There are a few other matchups I may like, however it depends who the puck stopper is. Stay tuned to the #nhl and # sports betting tabs on Discord, as well as Twitter for any changes or more potential matchups as more news unfolds!

Before the first puck of the season dropped for the 2019-2020 NHL season we offered Over/Under Point Totals for each team. The Islanders and Blue Jackets are on their way to hitting the over while the Devils and Red Wings are running out of gas to get them over the finish line.

Welcome to WinDaily’s newest edition of the NHL Stack and Track! In this article, the 2/20 NHL Stack and Track, we will look at the top NHL stacks at each price range and rank the best and the worst goalie spots to target in tonight’s slate. There are eight games for tonight’s main slate, check out the top plays below.

2/20 NHL Stack Report

  1. Pittsburgh Penguins One $$$
    Simon – Crosby – Zucker (FanDuel: $18,900 | DraftKings: $16,700)
    – The first half of this home and home got ugly with the Leafs going down 5-0 in the second half. Noted Leaf killer Sidney Crosby led the charge with four points (1G, 3A). He has been clicking with his new line mate Jason Zucker and together the two have posted a ridiculous five goals and eight assists among themselves over their past three games. I do think Toronto will come out of the gate with fire making this the ideal game stack but Pittsburgh sheer dominance in their last meeting on Tuesday is undeniable. This is uber-chalk for tonight’s cash games.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Kris Letang (FD: $7,100 | DK: $6,900)
  2. Washington Capitals Two $$
    Vrana – Eller – Oshie (FanDuel: $16,800 | DraftKings: $17,000)
    – Oshie almost single-handedly dug Washington back into their game against Vegas with a 2-goal third period. Tonight they will be facing off against a Montreal team who has dropped their last five games with the last loss coming in the form of a third-period collapse against the league’s bottom-dwelling Detroit Red Wings (gave up a three-goal lead). Washington is in a prime position here to dig themselves out of the hole they are in but Montreal has managed to score as of late and I think they can make this one interesting, more on that later…
Ideal Defensive Partner: John Carlson (FD: $7,200 | DK: $7,000)
  3. Ottawa Senators One $
    B. Tkachuk – Pageau – Duclair (FanDuel: $16,600 | DraftKings: $17,500)
This pick is a little under the radar but Ottawa has performed well at home this season and is facing a goalie who stats have fell off a cliff from last season in Laurent Brossoit. Now although Brossoit got the better of Ottawa in Winnipeg, Home Ottawa and Away Ottawa are two completely different teams and given that this line did score on Brossoit in Winnipeg, they will do a number on him in Ottawa tonight.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Thomas Chabot (FD: $5,300 | DK: $5,700)

Honorable Mention(s): Philadelphia Flyers One – Provorov, Toronto Florida Panthers Two – Weegar, St. Louis Blues One – Pietrangelo

2/20 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Mackenzie Blackwood (FD: $8,200 | DK: $8,500)
  2. Jordan Binnington (FD: $8,000 | DK: $7,700)
  3. Ilya Samsonov (FD: $8,700 | DK: $7,900)
    Honorable Mention(s): Carter Hart

Worst

  1. Jonathan Quick (FD: $7,300 | DK: $7,200)
  2. Martin Jones (FD: $7,100 | DK: $7,100)
  3. Laurent Brossoit (FD: $7,400 | DK: $7,600)

2/20 NHL Wild Card of the Day

Nick Suzuki/Jordan Weal (FD: $5,400, $3,100 | DK: $4,500, $2,500
– Suzuki featured in the last edition of the Stack and Track as a standout player for Montreal and he did perform well, adding a goal and an assist to his rookie season totals. In today’s edition of the stack and track, I wanted to introduce an unorthodox paring for Suzuki, Jordan Weal. Although they don’t play together 5 on 5, they are on the same power play and over their past two games these two have been involved in three goals together, one of which came at even strength. Given their chemistry, I think it is worth a shot playing these two as a power-play stack in a GPP format.

Honorable Mention(s): Artem Anisimov, Zach Hyman, Dylan Gambrell

Game Stack of the Day:
TOR1/PIT1
HM: WPG1/OTT1, WAS2/MTLPP2

This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 2/19 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Both sites have fairly different scoring formats, particularly with the recent changes on DraftKings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. Top Expensive Line

Boston One – David Pastrnak, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand

The Boston Bruins should be in for a nice little bounce back across the second half from their recent slumber. As I have noted previously in the article, Brad Marchand is primarily playing as a setup man this season, so he is the one I would leave if salary makes all fitting all three skaters unmanageable. Boston is a -170 favorite against the Edmonton Oilers and without Connor McDavid’s defense when hard matching the top line, they will be hard to contain. You can also just play the Pasta one-off if you so choose, as he is individually one of the top plays on the slate. He’s more than just the accomplished knitter that you see on the Dunkin Donuts commercials.

Top Value Line

New York Rangers Two – Artemi Panarin, Ryan Strome, Jesper Fast

After the Rangers messed around with their lines a bunch over the last two weeks, this line is finally back together. Those changes were mainly the result of a rash of injuries, but previously this line had been posting elite numbers for a very fair price. Artemi Panarin and Ryan Strome are the two core skaters from this line. The Blackhawks should focus much of their defensive energy on stopping the Rangers top line, which has been doing most of the damage recently as Artemi Panarin has been forced into some awful lines. Both Panarin and Strome also share time on the first power-play unit, providing us with a double correlation.

Welcome to Zak’s Puck Picks!! I started in Cash with Flash Handicapping Challenge and have been heating up. I am super excited to keep the momentum going and win some serious money with all of you!

Puck Record for February (35-34) Friday night (2-1)

Back above .500 with an overtime win for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Let’s keep climbing! The Islanders couldn’t quite pull out the win, however, Vegas pulled out a narrow victory to have yesterday’s picks win the day. On to today’s puck action!

Pork’s Puck Pick- Pittsburgh Penguins -132

The Pittsburgh Penguins have a 21-5-4-0 Record on home ice this season. In their only meet with the Leafs at PPG Paints Arena (in Pittsburgh) they shellacked them by a six to one margin. The Penguins have won five of their last six at home. The edge in this contest comes in terms of goals against where the Penguins are sixth in the league whereas the Leafs are twenty-sixth. Toronto has also had issues keeping the puck out of their net lately, having allowed ten goals in their last three contests. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh in their last three games have scored ten goals and only allowed four picks into their net. The Penguin’s stingy defense will steer them to victory this night.

Rib’s Puck Pick- Philadelphia Flyers -128

Philadelphia has won both matchups this season. The one in Philly back in October, they won by a seven- four margin. In twenty-eight games at home this year the Flyers have only lost five in regulation. Columbus has been struggling lately losing their last five in a row. The Blue Jackets last three losses have come to Buffalo, the Rangers and Devils, who all trail Philadelphia in the standings. With how well the Flyers play in the Wells Fargo Center, I see them coming up with the victory tonight.

 Bean’s Puck Pick-  Buffalo Sabres-114

Ottawa holds the edge in the season series winning one at home and one in Buffalo. Buffalo, however, is coming into Ottawa winners of their last three decisions. Ottawa who has lost seven of their last ten seems to be struggling to find any form of consistency. The Sabres are seemingly turning their season around and puck stopper Carter Hart looks to me more like the guy he was at the start of the season winning his last four starts in a row. I think Buffalo keeps their hot streak alive and wins this one on the road.

There are a few other matchups I may like, however it depends who the puck stopper is. Stay tuned to the #nhl and # sports betting tabs on Discord, as well as Twitter for any changes or more potential matchups as more news unfolds!
