Hey everyone! I’m back and today is Super Crossbar day on FanDuel! So, welcome to WinDaily’s newest edition of the NHL Stack and Track! In this article, the 3/5 NHL Stack and Track, we will look at the top NHL stacks at each price range and rank the best and the worst goalie spots to target in tonight’s slate. There are ten games for tonight’s main slate, check out the top plays below.

3/5 NHL Stack Report

  1. Toronto Maple Leafs One $$$
    Hyman – Matthews – Marner (FanDuel: $21,700 | DraftKings: $21,600)
    – The Leafs are the best offensive team in the NHL and although you can’t always trust them to keep the puck out of their own net you can definitely trust them to work the other team for a few goals. This line, in particular, has been particularly electric. Largely staying together during the entire Keefe period, building significant chemistry along the way. This line has also put together six goals and five assists over their last three games. Tonight they will also be up against a Kings team who is the worst team in the West, second-worst team in the NHL and almost replicate Toronto’s garbage defensive numbers.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Martin Marincin (I can’t believe I just wrote that) (FD: $3,500 | DK: $2,800)
  2. New York Islanders One $$
    Eberle – Barzal – Lee (FanDuel: $18,900 | DraftKings: $17,700)
    – The Islanders aren’t usually known as a high scoring team but tonight they will be up against Ottawa’s back up Craig Anderson who has been one of the worst goalies in the NHL this season as starter Marcus Hogberg is sidelined for personal reasons. Ottawa is the second-worst team in the NHL team in goals allowed at 3.37 GA/GP and sits in third last in the NHL behind the aforementioned Kings and the already eliminated Red Wings. This line itself has put up some decent numbers recently, but this play is more based on the matchup with Ottawa.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Ryan Pulock (FD: $5,000 | DK: $5,400)
  3. Chicago Blackhawks One $
    Saad – Toews – Kubalik (FanDuel: $17,400 | DraftKings: $16,600)
This line didn’t fare too well last game. However, prior to that Chicago’s top line was firing, with six goals and four assists amongst themselves in the three games prior to the last game against the Ducks. This matchup is great on both sides as both teams are loaded offensively and are questionable defensively. As a sneaky top-line play, I recommend Chicago’s top line. All three players get power-play time with Kub and Toews on the top unit and Saad on the second unit.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Duncan Keith/Adam Boqvist (FD: $5,300/$3,500 | DK: $5,300/$2,800)

Honorable Mention(s): Montreal Canadiens One – Petry, New York Rangers Power Play One – DeAngelo, Edmonton Oilers Two – Nurse

3/5 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Ben Bishop (FD: $8,500 | DK: $7,300)
  2. Carter Hart (FD: $8,600 | DK: $8,200)
  3. Seymon Varlamov (FD: $7,600 | DK: $7,500)
Honorable Mention(s): Tristan Jarry, Martin Jones

Worst

  1. Craig Anderson (FD: $7,100 | DK: $7,600)
  2. Forsberg/Nedeljkovic (FD: $7,200/$7,300 | DK: $6,900/$6,900)
  3. Carter Hutton (FD: $7,300 | DK: $7,300)
    Honorable Mention(s): Devan Dubnyk

3/5 NHL Wild Card of the Day

Kevin Fiala (FD: $6,400|DK: $6,800
– Fiala has picked up his hot streak right where he left off and now he sits at over 50 points in 61 games, with at least a goal and an assist in his last five games (5 goals, 6 assists). Fiala is easily one of the hottest players in the NHL and he might go under the radar given that Minnesota themselves are uninspiring. However, going against a San Jose team who is among the league’s bottom-dwellers in goals-against presents a perfect opportunity for Fiala to have yet another stellar performance.

Honorable Mention(s): John Marino, Tom Wilson, David Pastrnak, Jayce Hawryluk

Game Stack of the Day:
CAR1/PHI2
HM: BOS1/ FLA2, CHI1/ EDM2

3/5 NHL Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Aho-Matthews-Hyman – Putting Up Points  One of the hottest players in the NHL over the past week along with players in the Top 10 in assists (Marner) and Top 2 in goals (Matthews) league-wide, with both Matthews and Marner averaging well over a point per game.

Honorable Mention(s): Auston Matthews – More than 0.5 Goals, Mitch Marner – More than 0.5 Assists

Welcome to Zak’s Puck Picks!! I started in Cash with Flash Handicapping Challenge and have been heating up. I am super excited to keep the momentum going and win some serious money talking Puck Picks with all of you!

A big part of my life is my three kids. Each one of them holds a different attribute that I would personally use to aid me in deciding what picks to make. My twins Pork and Ribs and their little brother Bean (not their real names but very appropriate nicknames).

Pork is a doer. He is one to dive into a situation and figure itout as it unfolds, usually with great success. In terms of the puck pick, itwill be a gut feeling pick and be backed with some stats to explain the feeling.

Ribs, he likes to observe the situation, take in all theinformation, and then make an educated decision on what his next step will be.His puck pick will be focused around teams that are on hot streaks, eitheragainst a team in a matchup or on a winning streak.

Now Bean may sound cute and innocent, but he is a wild man. Not alot of thought goes into actions and if there is some thought, its gearedtowards “how can I push Dad’s buttons”. His puck pick will be a little more onthe risky side. There will be reasons why I think we should go this way.

As cook by trade and hockey as a passion since I was 3 years old, let’s get some puck picks in the oven and make some dough shall we?

All odds are referenced from vegasinsider.com. The source of information comes from Newsday.sports.gracenote.com unless otherwise specified. I will play ALL the picks mentioned in these articles.

Puck Record March (6-8)
Puck Recap Wednesday Night (3-0)

Tonight brought us back closer to where we want to be. Got all three wins from Arizona, Philadelphia with plus numbers and an overtime win from Calgary had us go three and zero. On to tonight’s puck drop.

Pork’s Puck Pick- Washington Capitals- 122
Normally I wouldn’t take a team to win on the money line if they are on the road on the second half of a back to back. This is the case for the Capitals tonight, however, the New York Rangers have lost three in a row and have seemed to struggle with secondary scoring since Chris Kreider has gone out injured. Washington has won four of the last five meetings and just came off of a loss against Philadelphia. I think they will come out hungry and get up early. It would be worth taking a look at Washington money line in the first period as well. This Washington power play is looking scary as well as is the special teams. Washington will win their second game on a back to back.

Rib’s Puck Pick- Boston Bruins-143
Puck stopper Jaroslav Halak is in a six-game win streak with four of those games being on the road. The Panthers have been struggling and have lost the last seven in a row at home. The road team in this matchup has won the last four games which is where the Bruins find themselves tonight. I’m not going to say much more about this pick as I am trying to sneak it in here without it being seen from another certain Win Daily family member seeing it. Quietly take the Bruins and don’t call me out. Appreciate it!

Beans Puck Pick- New York Islanders -130
The Penguins had a comeback game against the Senators to get them back to their winning habits. I think that the Islanders will do the same this evening. With both Marcus Hogberg and Anders Nilsson out for the remainder of the season, this leaves puck stopper Craig Anderson to tend the twine. Anderson has had his issues this season posting an 0.897 save percentage and a 3.35 goals-against average, which is well below league average. The Islanders will get back to winning and continue their path to hold down the last playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

Houston’s Puck Pick- Dallas Stars+106
Houston had a Brother named Dallas and brothers stick together! Also, the Nashville Predators have not looked like a good hockey club as of late. Getting smoked by Edmonton 8-3 and then coming out flat against Minnesota the next game has me concerned about the Predators. The stars are also on a three-game slide, however, they have played some really good hockey teams and just haven’t had the bounces go their way. I think the Stars shine and make a statement on the road to continue the woes for Nashville

Zak’s Puck Pick- Pittsburgh Penguins-139
The Penguins seem to have found their goal-scoring prowess again against Ottawa. Tonight, a lot like the Stars, go onto Buffalo to face a seemingly deflated Buffalo Sabers team. The Sabers are coming home from a winless four-game road trip where stories have come out of their Captain Jack Eichel looking completely devastated on the dressing room long after the game had ended. This could serve as a motivating factor. I am predicting the Penguins continue to add to the struggles of the Sabers in a high scoring affair, as neither team has been solid in the puck stopping department ( the over is definitely worth the look on this one!) Take the Penguins on the money line.

There may be a few other matchups I may like, however it depends who the puck stopper is. Stay tuned to the #nhl and # sports betting tabs on Discord, as well as Twitter for any changes or more potential matchups as more news unfolds!

NHL Update

The NHL Playoff picture is beginning to take shape. With about 70% of the season behind us here are your division leaders and their respective Stanley Cup Odds. The Capitals have maintained their points lead over the surging Penguins, while the Lightning has won 8 in a row in an attempt to catch the Bruins. All 4 teams see their odds stay about the same to win the Stanley Cup, while the entire Pacific Division attempts to sort out who will represent them in the playoffs and who will settle for a Wildcard spot.

Top Line

Colorado One – Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Andre Burakovsky/Vladislav Namestnikov

Since this is a small slate, we will focus on one primary line for both cash games and tournaments. The Washington Capitals game starts at lock and many people will just play them for the certainty that they provide, as well as the ability to watch/follow the game. However, even on the road, the Flyers are a much tougher foe as of late than the Ducks. If you can hold your horses for a couple of hours, I like the Avalanche a lot more. Once again, be sure to check in on the status of Andre Burakovsky, but if he is back in, it will provide another boost. Colorado has a 3.52 implied goal total and is big -275 home favorites.

In a cash game, you can use Nathan MacKinnon by himself and pair him with Alex Ovechkin and that will probably be the most common way to go. However, in tournaments at least, I would roll at least a two-man stack with Landeskog and if Burakovsky returns, likely the full line.

3/4 NHL DraftKings Rankings

  1. Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche – $8,500
  2. Alex Ovechkin – Washington Capitals – $8,500

  5. Johnny Gaudreau – Calgary Flames – $6,400

  4. Gabriel Landeskog – Colorado Avalanche – $7,200
  5. Jakob Voracek – Philadelphia Flyers – $6,000

Defensemen

  1. Ivan Provorov – Philadelphia Flyers – $4,300
  2. Ryan Graves – Colorado Avalanche – $4,000
  3. John Carlson – Washington Capitals – $7,100
  4. Zach Werenski – Columbus Blue Jackets – $6,500
  5. Alexander Edler – Vancouver Canucks – $4,400

Goalies

  1. Pavel Francouz – Colorado Avalanche – $9,000
  2. Joonas Korpisalo – Columbus Blue Jackets – $7,500

3/4 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Nathan MacKinnon, Alex Ovechkin, John Carlson – Over 2.5 Points – The daily 2.5 point bet is heating back up as it is up to 38/62. Tonight, the entire four-game slate is included in the Stars Shootout. You can pick any third option you want, but Alex Ovechkin and Nathan MacKinnon make a lot of sense.

Puck Record March (3-8)
Puck Recap Tuesday Night (2-3)

Losses from the Islanders who got blown out by Montreal and the swing at the struggling Penguins didn’t pay off and the Leaf got bit by the Sharks. St. Louis did their job and won for us on the money line as did the Bruins on the plus money line.

Pork’s Puck Pick- Calgary Flames -150
The Flames are back home at the Dome and I have talked about the Flames issues at home. This matchup, however, has been controlled by Calgary as they have won the last three against Columbus. With the injuries that are racked up with the big names for Columbus such as Captain Seth Jones, Josh Anderson, Cam Atkinson, and Oliver Bjorkstrand, they are struggling with firepower as of late with eight losses in their last ten and five straight losses on the road. Calgary has gone five and five in their last ten. I am predicting the Flames break the 0.500 record into a 60% with two points against the Jacket.

Rib’s Puck Pick- Philadelphia Flyers+ 142
The Philadelphia Flyers are rolling with six straight wins and two straight wins over the Washington Capitals. The last one was a seven to two drubbing in Washington, back on February eighth. The Capitals have been on a bit of a slide only winning four of their last ten. Philadelphia with a win could pull themselves within a point of Washington for the lead in the Metropolitan Division. I think the Flyers continue their winning ways and gets us some money on the money line.

Beans Puck Pick- Arizona Coyotes +114
Since Vancouver has lost their number one puck stopper Jacob Markström they only have one win. Arizona has won four of the last five matchups against the Canucks and has been up down scoring goals. With the goaltending issues that Vancouver has been having, I think they might have another five or seven-goal outburst as they have in two of their last three games.

There may be a few other matchups I may like, however it depends who the puck stopper is. Stay tuned to the #nhl and # sports betting tabs on Discord, as well as Twitter for any changes or more potential matchups as more news unfolds!

Top Two Lines

Pittsburgh Two – Evgeni Malkin, Bryan Rust, Patrick Marleau

Pittsburgh has a massive 4.2 implied goal total as they play host to one of the worst teams in the league, the Senators. This should be a great spot for them to explore and as always, you’re getting a significant discount on Bryan Rust on FanDuel, where he is only $4,900. You could leave out Patrick Marleau as well and just run a two-man stack. However, using Marleau may allow you to fit another expensive line. The Pens are a solid -290 favorite and the focus should be on their top two lines.

Las Vegas One – Reilly Smith, Jonathan Marchessault, Paul Stastny

With Mark Stone injured, the other Las Vegas line isn’t the same. However, this is still a spot we want exposure to. Even sans Stone, the Golden Knights have a 3.84 implied goal total, second-highest on the slate behind Pittsburgh above. It only makes sense to turn to this trio who has been heating up as of late, to begin with, scoring six full line goals over their last ten games. Reilly Smith is separated from the other two skaters with his placement on the second power play line. However, given the amount of even-strength time they share on the top line, this isn’t a big deal.

3/3 NHL DraftKings Rankings

Forwards

  1. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,400
  2. Sidney Crosby – Pittsburgh Penguins – $7,200
  3. Evgeni Malkin – Pittsburgh Penguins – $6,900
  4. Auston Matthews – Toronto Maple Leafs – $8,500
  5. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $8,200

Defensemen

  1. Brent Burns – San Jose Sharks – $7,300
  2. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $7,100
  3. Shea Theodore – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $6,200
  4. Ryan Ellis – Nashville Predators – $6,100
  5. Andy Greene – New York Islanders – $4,400

Goalies

  1. Tristan Jarry – Pittsburgh Penguins – $8,500
  2. Robin Lehner – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,400

3/3 NHL FanDuel Rankings

Forwards

  1. Bryan Rust – Pittsburgh Penguins – $4,900
  2. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $7,700
  3. Sidney Crosby – Pittsburgh Penguins – $8,300
  4. Evgeni Malkin – Pittsburgh Penguins – $7,700
  5. Auston Matthews – Toronto Maple Leafs – $9,000

Defensemen

  1. Brent Burns – San Jose Sharks – $6,500
  2. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $6,900
  3. Shea Theodore – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $5,900
  4. Ryan Ellis – Nashville Predators – $5,500
  5. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,100

Goalies

  1. Tristan Jarry – Pittsburgh Penguins – $8,200
  2. Robin Lehner – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,100

3/3 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

All odds are referenced from vegasinsider.com. The source of information comes from Newsday.sports.gracenote.com unless otherwise specified. I will play ALL the picks mentioned in these articles.

Puck Record for February (64-52) 55.17% January (49-49) 50%

Puck Record March (1-5)

Puck Recap Sunday night (1-3) Monday Night (0-2)
An ugly start to March. That just means the come back will be that much sweeter. Edmonton’s finest (McDavid and Draisaitl) made the highly touted Nashville Defense look elementary and some late scratches and lackluster effort from Colorado had Detroit keep it within one. The third of March seems like a good day to wear the rally cap. On to today’s puck action.

Pork’s Puck Pick- St. Louis Blues-140
The St Louis Blues are on a Sven game win streak and are riding two smoking hot puck stoppers. During their seven-game win streak the puck has found the back of the opponent’s net twenty-six times. Where the Rangers have the slight edge in goals per game by a 0.126 margin it is the goals against that makes the difference with a 0.35 difference between the clubs. While I think this game remains close, the Blues are much stronger on the back end and will hold the Rangers to fewer goals.

Rib’s Puck Pick- New York Islanders-130
The Islanders have had a tough stretch of games against real good teams against Boston, St.Louis and the red hot Rangers. I think this is the game where the Islanders get off the slide. Montreal has lost seven of their last ten and are seventeenth in the league in goals-against per game. Montreal isn’t mathematically eliminated from the playoffs however the chances are really slim. The Islanders currently hold down the first wild card spot in the east in a tight race with Pittsburgh, Carolina, Columbus and the Rangers. The puck stopping tandem on the island holds the sixth-best stats in goals against with 2.7 per game. The Islanders have more to play for and are the more desperate team. I believe they will show this and take the home win tonight

Bean’s Puck Pick- Boston Bruins +123
This should be the game of the night. A battle between the top two teams in the Eastern Conference. Tampa Bay may have the Bruins number recently winning the last four games in a row, however, they will be without their captain Steven Stamkos, who is out with an abdominal injury. They also have just one win in their last five games, three of which have been in Tampa Bay. Boston has been rolling and has seven wins in their last ten games with three of those seven wins coming on the road. Both puck stoppers have phenomenal numbers with Boston’s Tuukka Rask sitting at a 2.16 goals-against average and Andrei Vasilevskiy a slightly higher 2.62 GAA. This game should remain tight and low scoring, however, Boston has been better as of late and has all their key players ready to go for this one. Take Boston to leave Tampa Bay with a money line win.

Houston’s Puck Pick- Toronto Maple Leafs-143
This is the tale of two teams that can not keep the puck out of their net. The San Jose Sharks and the Toronto Maple Leafs have some serious injuries on their back end and goaltenders that are struggling with these injuries. It has already been confirmed by The Goalie Project on Twitter that Jack Campbell will get the start tonight. I think this will be a high scoring contest and when it comes to putting the puck in the net, the Leafs have much better numbers. Toronto has scored twenty goals in their last five games where the Sharks have twelve. The Maple Leafs are six and one in their last seven Tuesday games where the Sharks are one and eight in their last nine games played on Tuesday insert eye roll here. I like the over in this game as well as long as it is set under seven, however, am only focused on the Leafs money line with this pick. I fancy the Leafs to leave the Shark Tank with two points and a full stat sheet.

Zak’s Puck Pick- Ottawa Senators +260
Play this one light and with caution, however, the Penguins have been absolutely awful and are coming off of six straight losses to teams like LA, San Jose, Anaheim, and Buffalo. These teams all have similar points to Ottawa. It sounds like Ottawa might have the services of Anthony Duclair back in their lineup for this contest as well. Again this pick is a risk but I think it is worth the value at +260 for as bad as the Penguins have been as of late.

There may be a few other matchups I may like, however it depends who the puck stopper is. Stay tuned to the #nhl and # sports betting tabs on Discord, as well as Twitter for any changes or more potential matchups as more news unfolds!

This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 3/2 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Both sites have fairly different scoring formats, particularly with the recent changes on DraftKings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. BE SURE to double-check both regular and power play lines at both morning skate and before lock as they can drastically change from the time of publication.

Top Line

Colorado One – Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Valeri Nichushkin/Andre Burakovsky

Andre Burakovsky looked like he was going to play Saturday but was scratched right before lock after having played the night before. If he is back, it will only serve to improve this line. However, I think that they should be okay as is, given the fact that they will be facing the worst team in the league on a two-game slate! There’s really nothing more to say about the Red Wings. If I were to say something nice about Detroit, it would be that the regular season will be over within just over a month.

The Colorado top-line trio will be the most popular line on the slate by a wide margin and should be a staple of cash games and a core piece for tournaments, paired with a more contrarian line. The Avalanche are a massive -320 favorite and their first unit would be the top line on a much larger slate as well.

Top Two Lines

Las Vegas One – William Karlsson, Max Pacioretty, Nick Cousins/Mark Stone

Mark Stone is day to day and missed the other night so be sure to watch his status. There are two ways to look at this situation. If Mark Stone is in, he certainly adds an additional level of skill, making the line more potent. However, if Stone is not in, Nick Cousins offers elite salary relief. Either way, Las Vegas has a 3.91 implied goal total and is massive -300 favorites. These are both slates highs by a massive margin with the only other totals over three, the Blue Jackets at 3.19 and Capitals at 3.11. The top two Golden Knight lines should be the most popular in all formats tonight.

Columbus One – Boone Jenner, Nick Foligno, Gustav Nyquist

No Oliver Bjorkstrand, no problem. Columbus has the second-highest implied goal total on the slate and it has been this top-line helping to try to keep them afloat in the wild card race. As mentioned above, the Blue Jackets have second-highest implied goal total on the slate at 3.19. Meanwhile, they will host the Canucks who come in on a back to back and should be tired after a road loss to the Maple Leafs. Boone Jenner does not have power-play correlation with the other two skaters but that is not the biggest deal considering how hot he is right now.

3/1 NHL DraftKings Rankings

Forwards

  1. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,300
  2. Alex Ovechkin – Washington Capitals – $8,500
  3. Kevin Fiala – Minnesota Wild – $6,100
  4. Tyler Toffoli – Vancouver Canucks – $6,700
  5. Boone Jenner – Columbus Blue Jackets – $4,400

Defensemen

  1. Shea Theodore – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $5,800
  2. Zach Werenski – Columbus Blue Jackets – $6,500
  3. John Carlson – Washington Capitals – $7,400
  4. Jonas Brodin – Minnesota Wild – $4,600
  5. Markus Nutivaara – Columbus Blue Jackets – $3,100

Goalies

  1. Marc Andre-Fleury – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,500
  2. John Gibson – Anaheim Ducks – $7,900

3/1 NHL FanDuel Rankings

Forwards

  1. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $7,900
  2. Alex Ovechkin – Washington Capitals – $8,800
  3. Kevin Fiala – Minnesota Wild – $5,700
  4. Tyler Toffoli – Vancouver Canucks – $5,800
  5. Boone Jenner – Columbus Blue Jackets – $4,400

Defensemen

  1. Shea Theodore – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $5,800
  2. Zach Werenski – Columbus Blue Jackets – $6,500
  3. Alex Martinez – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,600
  4. Alex Edler – Vancouver Canucks – $4,400
  5. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,200

Goalies

  1. Marc Andre-Fleury – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,600
  2. John Gibson – Anaheim Ducks – $7,500

3/1 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Alex Ovechkin, Kevin Fiala, Zach Werenski – Over 2.5 Points – The daily 2.5 point bet is down to 35/59 as it was an underwhelming night score-wise across the board. Unfortunately, the late game is not included in tonight’s star shootout options, so go light.

Puck Record for February (64-52) 55.17%

Puck Record March (0-0)

Puck Recap Saturday night (3-1)
Happy that I hit my goal of over 52% but we’re not done there. Onwards and upwards from here! I am only going to get better! We got wins from Ottawa in a shootout, St.Louis, and an add on in the afternoon in Boston. I couldn’t complete the perfect night due to a loss from Nashville. On to March puck action.

Pork’s Puck Pick- Minnesota Wild+108
Surprisingly, the Washington Capitals are struggling mightily on the road, losing four of their last five games away from home. Minnesota, on the other hand, has won five of their last six contests including their last two games on a back to back where they outscored their opponents twelve to one. With losses to Arizona, Las Vegas, New Jersey, and Winnipeg on the road, I feel safe to add Minnesota to this list and crown them victors in this matchup.

Rib’s Puck Pick- Anaheim Ducks -139
The Ducks have played two great games at home and have beaten both the Edmonton Oilers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Corey Schneider in six starts this season has only one win and has twenty-five goals against in that span. With the Devils playing last night I figured Schneider will get the start in this one. The Ducks had last night off to rest for this one so they should be ready to go for this contest. I think the ducks Weill squeeze out a win in a low scoring affair.

Beans Puck Pick- Las Vegas Golden Knights PUCK LINE -1.5/-127
The Golden Knights are rolling at home right now and have pushed themselves to the to of the Pacific Division. They are on an eight-game win streak, seven of those being at home. The King’s are coming off a 2-1 win against an ugly looking Devils team. I think this gets out of hand early with the way the top two lines for the Golden Knights have Ben burying the puck.

Before the first puck of the season dropped for the 2019-2020 NHL season we offered Over/Under Point Totals for each team. The Islanders and Blue Jackets are on their way to hitting the over while the Devils and Red Wings are running out of gas to get them over the finish line.

Top Two Lines

Ottawa One – Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris, Bobby Ryan “watch out for Anthony Duclair who is DTD”

You’re only as good as your competition or so they say. It is not often that the woeful Ottawa Senators make the Hot Shot. However, hosting the Red Wings, I would play a team of sewer rats on skates. They make for the perfect value line to build around. We haven’t had a Jimmy Howard sighting in forever, as he has mainly sulked while hidden deep on the Detroit bench. Perhaps this is the night he emerges and if that is the case, this line goes from chalky to uber chalky, particularly on Fanduel with the discount. We will have to see the status of Anthony Duclair who is day to day and sat on Tuesday. The Sens are a -160 favorite as of the time of writing and I guess that you just turn to the top line as the depth lines are unappealing to say the least. The hope is that Duclair returns and pairs with Brady Tkachuk and if so, that’s what you roll out. In the meantime, I listed the line sans Duclair.

Edmonton Two – Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent Hopkins, Alex Chiasson

I expect the Toronto Maple Leaf’s top line to be more popular between their larger status as a favorite and the fact they play in an early game. After all, it’s a Saturday night and people don’t want to be worrying about things like Kailer Yamamoto’s DTD status three hours after lock. However, whether it is the red hot Yamamoto skating with the second line or Alex Chiasson, both skaters have a role on the first power-play unit, giving the entire line that additional correlation either way. This line’s numbers pummel any Toronto lines, as they have consistently remained among the top five lines statistically over the last month. They have nine full line goals over their last ten games, good for third in the NHL, just beating out the Boston Bruin’s top line.

2/29 NHL DraftKings Rankings

Forwards

  1. Auston Matthews – Toronto Maple Leafs – $8,100
  2. Leon Draisaitl – Edmonton Oilers – $7,800
  3. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins – Edmonton Oilers – $5,800
  4. Brady Tkachuk – Ottawa Senators – $7,300
  5. Anthony Duclair – Ottawa Senators – $5,100 – Check for status at morning skate as DTD

Defensemen

  1. Thomas Chabot – Ottawa Senators – $5,800
  2. Ryan Ellis – Nashville Predators – $5,500
  3. Brent Burns – San Jose Sharks – $7,900
  4. Mattias Ekholm – Nashville Predators – $4,200
  5. Marcus Pettersson – Pittsburgh Penguins – $2,800

Goalies

  1. Antti Raanta – Arizona Coyotes – $8,100
  2. Ben Bishop – Dallas Stars – $7,300

2/29 NHL FanDuel Rankings

Forwards

  1. Auston Matthews – Toronto Maple Leafs – $8,900
  2. Leon Draisaitl – Edmonton Oilers – $8,500
  3. Brady Tkachuk – Ottawa Senators – $6,200
  4. Anthony Duclair – Ottawa Senators – $4,300 “Once again, monitor his status”
  5. Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche – $8,700

Defensemen

  1. Brent Burns – San Jose Sharks – $6,800
  2. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $6,500
  3. Thomas Chabot – Ottawa Senators – $5,200
  4. Ryan Ellis – Nashville Predators – $5,500
  5. Shea Weber – Montreal Canadiens – $5,200

Goalies

  1. Antti Raanta – Arizona Coyotes – $8,300
  2. Marcus Hogberg – Ottawa Senators – $7,400

2/29 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Auston Matthews, Nathan MacKinnon, Brady Tkachuk – Over 2.5 Points – The daily 2.5 point bet is now down to 35/58 because Pittsburgh sucked last night. Tonight, with the larger slate, we can use one-offs and not rely so much on one team. It is still split between main and night and I think you go with the main.
