We’re back with another Saturday Night Win Daily NHL Article! Lot’s of great spots tonight! So buckle up and get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 2/13 NHL slate, we have a nice 8-game slate that begins at 7 pm ET! Let’s get into it!

Keep in mind!!! FanDuel has updated their NHL tournaments and they now include two UTIL spots which have replaced two winger spots. DraftKings has stayed the same but don’t forget last season they revamped the scoring and added stats bonuses, so if you’re new to NHL or haven’t played in a while, check out our live stream on the WinDaily YouTube by clicking here and read through the rules on the site of your choice!

2/13 NHL Stack Report

  1. Toronto Maple Leafs 1
    Hyman – Matthews – Marner (FanDuel: $21,500 | DraftKings: $20,200)
My strategy for tonight’s slate is to target the division with the highest goals output and in this slate, it’s really simplified as two lines pop out above the rest right away. The first and most obvious line to me is Toronto’s top line, they consistently perform at a top-level, include a value winger and are going up against a slumping team with a shaky goalie. All three players have been producing as of late and are given ample TOI to get the puck in the net.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Morgan Rielly (Jake Muzzin for Salary Saver)(FD: $5,300 | DK: $5,200)
  2. Calgary Flames 3
    Lucic – Backlund – Mangiapane (FanDuel: $12,600 | DraftKings: $10,800)
For our second recommended stack we’re going to the late hammer. Now although I am recommending the third line, this is not to say that the other two lines are unplayable. Calgary is on a hot streak against a slumping goalie in Holtby and a slumping team in Vancouver who has dropped their last six contests. Calgary’s third line has been consistent as of late, sees time on the second power-play unit and fits well with Toronto’s top line alongside another elite line. You can also go with a two-man stack consisting of Tkachuk and Lindholm or opt for Calgary’s top line. As far as value and points per dollar go, its hard to go wrong with Backlund and Mangiapane
Ideal Defensive Partner: Mark Giordano (Valimaki works as a salary saver) (FD: $5,400 | DK: $5,900)

Honorable Mention(s): Florida Panthers 1, New York Islanders 1, Dallas Stars 2, Arizona Coyotes 1, Chicago Blackhawks 1

2/13 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Jacob Markstrom (FD: $8,000 | DK: $8,100)
  2. Jordan Binnington (FD: $7,600 | DK: $8,200)
Honorable Mention(s): Rask, Reimer, Andersen (moreso on DK)

Worst

  1. Thomas Greiss (FD: $6,700 | DK: $6,900)
    Honorable Mention(s): Lankinen, Holtby, Saros

2/13 NHL Wild Card Targets

Jack Roslovic (FD: $4,700 | DK: $4,700)
– In his previous appearance as a wild card play, Roslo came through huge and hasn’t slowed down since. He’s now on a six-game point streak with four goals and five assists over those six games. Simply unreal numbers from the young forward since coming over from the Jets. Considering how he exposed Lankinen last game, one would imagine he’s in a great spot to repeat that effort again tonight. He works in a stack with Seth Jones.

Honorable Mention(s): Vincent Trochek, Brett Pesce, Jason Robertson, Patric Hornqvist

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Auston Matthews

Winger Andrew Mangiapane and/or Jack Roslovic

Defence Dougie Hamilton

Goalie Jacob Markstrom

Welcome to Cash with Flash 2.8 Best Bets!

Glad to see you and I hope that your sports betting endeavors are going well. It’s been difficult handicapping professional sporting contests but if you’ve been tailing me, listening to my show, or read my books then you have been making money.

Cash with Flash Best Bets has 2020-2021 season-long totals of 66-53-1 for NFL football, 48-21 in NCAAF, 39-27 for NCAAB, 15-8 in NHL, and 50-30-1 in the NBA.

Had you wagered $100 dollars on each pick Cash with Flash offered you’d be ahead of the game by about $6300 since September 8, 2020. That’s not too shabby and Cash with Flash Best Bets is still the place for longterm sports investing success.

Cash with Flash is coming off of a 2019-2020 betting season where we enjoyed a $30,000 ROI. That’s not too bad either.

NBA 2020-2021 Totals Leaders

1). Brooklyn Nets (18-7 over record) +7.7

2). Denver Nuggets (16-6 over record) +5.8

3). Indiana Pacers (13-9-1 over record) +4.7

4). Chicago Bulls (12-10 over record) +4.3

5). Milwaukee Bucks (13-9-1 over record) +4.3

We have eight games on the NBA schedule but we’re only interested in a couple of contests for tonight.

Golden State Warriors-San Antonio Spurs

This game opened with the Spurs as 1.5 point home favorites but the game is now a “pick-em” at most shops. I would’ve preferred the points because we like the Warriors in this one. LaMarcus Aldridge and Lonnie Walker IV have both been ruled out as has the Warriors James Wiseman. Stephen Curry is putting up video numbers and an already challenged defense with Aldridge on the floor is going to be terrible without him. Take the Warriors in this one.

Milwaukee Bucks-Denver Nuggets

Games involving these two teams exceed the total more than most NBA teams and they play each other with a 229.5 point total. The Bucks play the fifth-fastest pace in the NBA while Denver is one of the slowest but the Nuggets allow an eighteenth best 112.1 points per game. Don’t worry about the pace-down contest as the Bucks defense isn’t what it was a season ago and allows 111.1 points against a Nuggets team scoring an average of 115.4 points a contest. Take the OVER in this one.

NCAAB 2020-2021 Money Line Leaders

1). Colgate +10.2

2). Morehead State +8.3

3). Drake +8.3

4). Wright State +7.9

5). UC Riverside +7.2

NCAAB 2020-2021 ATS Leaders

1). Colgate (5-3) +10.2

2). Morehead State (14-5) +8.3

3). Drake (14-2) +8.3

4). Wright State (12-7) +7.9

5). UC Riverside (8-3-1) +7.2

NCAAB 2020-2021 Totals Leaders

1). American University (3-1 over) +13.9

2). Long Beach State (6-2 over) +11.4

3). Cal Baptist (9-3 over) +9.6

4). Georgia Tech (8-5-2 over) +9.5

5). NC Central (4-2 over) +9.4

There are quite a few NCAAB games tonight and we’ll take a look at one of them and see how we fare. You must stay out ahead of injuries plus coronavirus concerns and the best website I know for this would be Newsday.

Nebraska Cornhuskers-Minnesota Golden Gophers

Minnesota is favored at home by 11.5 points tonight and that’s a bit too many points for this contest. Nebraska missed nearly a month of games thanks to coronavirus but none of their three losses were by more than a dozen points and they are 2-2-1 ATS as the away team. Minnesota is a bad shooting team and allowing 73 points per game is not a team that covers large spreads no matter how bad an opponent’s offense is. Take the points and go with Nebraska to cover the spread tonight.

NHL Top Five Winning Teams

We’re not talking about how many games a team wins but how much money you would win had you wagered $100 on each of the following teams’ total games this season.

1). Toronto Maple Leafs $322

2). Carolina Hurricanes $296

3). Winnipeg Jets $273

4). Florida Panthers $236

5). Montreal Canadiens $201

NHL Top Five Losing Teams

1). Detroit Red Wings -$655

2). Ottawa Senators -$565

3). Chicago Blackhawks -$388

4). Vancouver Canucks -$353

5). New York Islanders -$238

Tampa Bay Lightning-Nashville Predators

The Lightning has played very well this season but the Predators have played very well at home and 4-1-0 at home isn’t +135 type of a line no matter who they play. Tampa Bay is riding a four-game winning streak (all at home) whereas Nashville is coming off of a four-game road trip where they went 1-3. Andrei Vasilevskiy (7-1-0) is the Tampa Bay probable starting goaltender while the Preds plan on Juuse Soras (3-3-0) tending to the twine tonight where he is 3-0-0 at home this season. Take the Preds at +135 tonight!

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for Monday night February 8th and we have a 6 game slate on tap!

Tonight we have a couple of games in the always high scoring NHL North Division for us to focus on with both Edmonton (@OTT) and Toronto (vs Van) open with 3.8 projected goal totals. Tampa Bay(@NSH) is 3rd with a 3.4 projected goal total. These are definitely three of the teams we want to focus on when building our stacks and should be the priority that you build your lineups around.

NHL DFS: Goaltenders

Jordan Binnington ($8,000/$7,600)

I rarely ever play Binnington, but tonight the top-end pickens are slim making him the best viable option on this slate. Binnington will be facing the Coyotes for the third time this season already and is 1-1 against them. Before losing to the Yotes on Thursday, Binnington had won 4 straight starts averaging 18.65 (DK) and 25.6 (FD) in those starts.

I also have a sleeper pick in net that should be low owned. Alex Nedeljkovic ($7,700/8,300) should get his first start of the season on Monday against Carolina. Nedeljkovic has outstanding AHL numbers and is one the Canes top prospects. He has started 6 NHL games in his career and has decent numbers with a 2.55 GAA and a .907 save %. Now looking at his price, he seems like a better option on DK but if you have the salary for a large field GPP, he could make you some money on FD because he will most like not get much ownership there.

Other Options: Frederick Andersen ($8,400/$8,100), Curtis McElhinney ($8,300/$8,300), Semyon Varlamov ($7,700/$7,700), Igor Shesterkin ($7,800/$7,300)

NHL DFS: Stacking Options

Top Line Stack:

St. Louis Blues Line 1

Now, the obvious top stacks are Toronto, Edmonton, and Tampa like I mentioned in the open but since I briefly mentioned that, I wanted to give a fourth, less expensive, option to build around. St. Louis changed up their lines some before their last game, taking Jordan Kyrou ($4,900/$4,300) off the top line and replacing him with Mike Hoffman ($4,700/$5,400). Kyrou is now on the Blues second line and while they are still a good secondary option, I prefer St. Louis’ top line of Hoffman, Ryan O’Reilly ($6,000/$6,200), and David Perron ($5,900/$6,300).

Top Line Stack Rankings (after the 4 mentioned above):

  1. Nashville 1
  2. NY Rangers 1
  3. Vancouver 1
  4. Carolina 1
  5. Columbus 1
  6. NY Islanders 1

Top Secondary/Value Stack

Tampa Bay Lightning 3rd Line

I have been playing this line a good amount lately with some success. Unfortunately only Yanni Gourde ($3,800/$4,400) plays power play minutes for Tampa, but both Barclay Goodrow ($2,700/$3,700) and Blake Coleman ($3,700/$4,400) see well over 15 minutes of ice time per game. Goodrow has points in three straight games (2 goals and 2 assists), and Coleman has assists in back to back games.

Secondary/Value stack rankings:

  1. NY Rangers 2
  2. Ottawa 1
  3. NY Islanders 2
  4. Tampa Bay 2
  5. Columbus 2
  6. Arizona 3

NHL DFS: Defensemen Rankings

Top Defensemen

  1. Victor Hedman (TB)
  2. Roman Josi (NSH)
  3. Colton Parayko (STL)
  4. Darnell Nurse (EDM)
  5. Ryan Ellis (NSH)
  6. Seth Jones (CLS) – Underpriced on both sites IMO
  7. Ryan Pulock (NYI)
  8. Thomas Chabot (OTT)
  9. Adam Fox (NYR)
  10. Jakob Chychrun (ARI)

Top Value Defensemen

  1. Brett Pesce (CAR)
  2. Ryan McDonagh (TB)
  3. David Savard (CLS)
  4. Scott Mayfield (NYI)
  5. Jaccob Slavin (CAR) – PP2
  6. K’Andre Miller (NYR)
  7. Jan Rutta (TB) – Plays alongside Hedman on TB D pair 1
  8. Alexander Edler (VAN)
  9. Jacob Trouba (NYR)
  10. Jordan Oesterle (ARI) – PP2

NHL DFS: Wrap Up

Obviously the top lines from Edmonton, Toronto, and Tampa Bay are the priorities and where I will start my builds from, but they are not the only options. If your research shows another top line can put up similar points there is no reason to pass over that line for one of those. You can instead make one of the “big 3” lines a secondary or 2 man stack and be different then the field. Build around a St. Louis or Rangers stack that will surely be lower owned and fit in pieces from Edmonton or Toronto. I also like the idea of fading Tampa Bay 1 for Tampa Bay 3 and mixing them with Edmonton or Toronto is definitely something I will look to do.

We’re back with a Sunday Noon Win Daily NHL Article! Lot’s of great spots tonight! So buckle up and get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 2/7 NHL slate, we have a small 5-game slate that begins at 12 pm ET! (mainly because of the Super Bowl) Let’s get into it!

2/7 NHL Stack Report

  1. Florida Panthers 1
    Verhaeghe – Barkov – Duclair (FanDuel: $16,700 | DraftKings: $18,000)
What’s not to love about this line, you have affordable, consistent producers who are playing the worst team in their division and hold one of the highest implied totals on the slate. With this line, you’ll get exposure to the top two power-play units against a team that has one of the worst penalty kills at an abysmal 71% kill rate while averaging 8 PIM per game
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Aaron Ekblad (Keith Yandle for Salary Saver)(FD: $5,600 | DK: $6,000)
  2. Dallas Stars 1
    Benn – Pavelski – Radulov (FanDuel: $20,600 | DraftKings: $19,700)
Here we have another team who holds one of the highest implied goal totals on the slate and the majority of Dallas’ production out of late has been cycling through these four players. Chicago has struggled defensively all season while Dallas is in first place in goals per game with an average of four. All four members of this stack play on Dallas’ top Power Play and although this is a pay-up spot, it’s hard to go wrong in this matchup.
Ideal Defensive Partner: John Klingberg (Heiskanen works as a salary saver) (FD: $6,700 | DK: $6,400)

Honorable Mention(s): Vegas Golden Knights 1, Columbus Blue Jackets 2

2/7 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Jake Oettinger (FD: $8,100 | DK: $7,800)
  2. Robin Lehner (FD: $8,700 | DK: $8,200)
Honorable Mention(s): Reimer, Korpisalo, Vanecek (FD Only), Peterson

Worst

  1. Thomas Greiss (FD: $6,600 | DK: $6,900)
    Honorable Mention(s): Bobrovsky (Shaky), Lankinen

2/7 NHL Wild Card Targets

Carter Verhaeghe (FD: $4,500 | DK: $5,400)
– This is a really interesting play, since he spent most of his time in the league prior to this season on the fourth line, it doesn’t look like hes getting a ton of respect from DFS sites but he’s had a very consistent and productive start to his 2021 season and his superb play has found him time on the top power play unit. Going against Detroit at his price, definitely an interesting option that allows us to target more of the big fish in the slate. (There are a lot of them)

Honorable Mention(s): Jack Roslovic, Alex Tuch, Oliver Bjorkstrand

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Alexander Barkov

Winger Carter Verhaeghe

Defence John Klingberg

Goalie No Goalie Option Stood Out to me but I went with Oettinger

We’re back with another Saturday Night Article! Lot’s of great spots tonight! So buckle up and get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 2/6 NHL slate, we have a small 4-game slate that begins at 7 pm ET!

2/6 NHL Stack Report

  1. Edmonton Power Play 1
    Draisaitl – McDavid – Nugent-Hopkins (FanDuel: $24,800 | DraftKings: $24,100)
Although I wouldn’t bet on Edmonton getting the win, this line has too many powerful pieces and I’m essentially treating McDavid and Draisaitl as “good chalk” if you don’t have these two you might as well call it a night. Exploded doesn’t even begin to describe their start to the season, I could read off all the stats that back up this play but we’d literally be here all day. Bottom line, great floor, astronomical ceiling, and ownership that if you’re left without them, that’ll most likely be the end of your night, especially in cash. Nuge isn’t as necessary but if the other two break the slate it wouldn’t hurt to have some shares, but your salary will be torched for the rest of your line. Even at their price, I still think this line comes at a bargain, they’re that good.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Tyson Barrie (FD: $5,100 | DK: $5,900)
  2. Toronto Maple Leafs 1
    Marner – Matthews – Hyman (FanDuel: $21,300 | DraftKings: $20,700)
Stacking the top two lines in this article is going to be a challenge but is not impossible. It will take a little bit of juggling but I have to mention the two smash spots tonight. If you choose to go with one of the top lines on a small slate like this I wouldn’t blame you but if you manage to squeeze parts of both top lines, you could have a serious edge, especially in GPPs. Hyman provides value with a high upside due to his linemates, Matthews is on a crazy goal streak (6 games) and Marner is on a crazy point streak with 11 points in his last six games.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Morgan Rielly (Muzzin works as a salary saver) (FD: $5,200 | DK: $5,800)

Honorable Mention(s): Calgary Flames 1 (Andersson), New York Islanders 1 (Leddy),

2/6 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Semyon Varlamov (FD: $7,700 | DK: $8,200)
  2. Frederick Andersen (FD: $8,100 | DK: $8,400)
Honorable Mention(s): Koskinen (he’s pretty far away from the other two in my analysis)

Worst

  1. Tristan Jarry (FD: $7,400 | DK: $7,200)
  2. Ryan Miller (FD: $6,700 | DK: $7,600)
    Honorable Mention(s): Dubnyk

2/6 NHL Wild Card Targets

Ryan Donato (FD: $4,100 | DK: $3,000)
– Donato’s issue is that for most of his career he’s been plagued with inconsistency but as of late he’s seemed to find his scoring touch with five points in his last four games (2 G, 3 A) he’s not producing a lot of fantasy-relevant stats aside from goals and assists so he is in a boom/bust spot tonight as far as DFS is concerned.

Honorable Mention(s): Jesse Puljajarvi, Juuso Valimaki, Jason Spezza, Pierre-Oliver Joseph, Travis Boyd

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Auston Matthews and/or Connor McDavid and/or Leon Draisaitl

Winger Zach Hyman

Defence Tyson Barrie

Goalie Semyon Varlamov

2/6 NHL Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Draisaitl – McDavid – Matthews Putting Up Points (I hope you’re not shocked)

Honorable Mention: Auston Matthews to break the expected fantasy point total.

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for Monday night February 1st and we have a 5 game slate on tap!

Tonight should be another high scoring night in the NHL with 7 of the 10 teams projected to score over 3 goals. Only Vancouver, Washington, and Nashville to score under 3 but with both Washington and Vancouver ranked 1st and 4th respectively in goals for this season I don’t have a problem looking at them for my lineups tonight as well.

Montreal vs Vancouver and NY Rangers vs Pittsburgh seem to be the spots that will have the highest goal totals tonight and where I want to focus on first when building lineups tonight. Winnipeg vs Calgary is another game with a high projected goal total, but both teams ranked towards the top of the league in goals against, but Winnipeg does rank tenth in the league in goals for.

NHL DFS: Goaltenders

Connor Hellebuyck ($7,900/$8,400)

Like I mentioned in the open this game has a projected goal total over 6 tonight but I think this game goes under tonight and Hellebuyck is a good reason why. Helley is one of the league’s best goalies and the matchup with the Flames is a good one tonight. Calgary is one of the worst 5 of 5 teams in the NHL with a 4.7% shot percentage at even strength and the Jets do not take penalties. Winnipeg averages less than 3 penalties a game, so Calgary should have a tough time scoring tonight against Hellebuyck and the Jets.

Other Options: Vasilevskiy (TB), Vanecek (WAS), Markstrom (CGY), Price (MTL)

NHL DFS: Forwards

Top Overall Center:

Patrice Bergeron ($7,800 on both sites)

I know, I know this is a really tough pick to say one of the best overall centers in the game is a top play today but the new B’s captain has been on fire of late and it should continue tonight. Bergeron has 4 goals and 4 assists in his last four games with all of those games being multi-point games. Along with putting up points, Bergeron is averaging 4 shots on goal per game and is averaging huge FPPG (23.1 on DK and 27.7 on FD). Boston also got David Pastrnak ($7,800/$7,500) back last game to complete one of hockey’s best lines along with Brad Marchand ($7,700/$8,200) making them also my favorite overall line stack tonight.

Other Options: Point (TB), Scheifele (WPG), Zibanejad (NYR), Crosby (PIT), Backstrom (WAS), Pettersson (VAN), Suzuki (MTL), Horvat (VAN), Malkin (PIT)

Top Value Centers:

DraftKings Value Center: Ryan Strome (NYR) – $4,000

FanDuel Value Center: Adam Lowry (WPG) – $4,200

Other Options: Kotkaniemi (MTL), Blueger (PIT), Danault (MTL), Backlund (CGY), Coyle (BOS)

Top Overall Winger:

Andrew Copp ($5,500/$4,700)

There are plenty of other great plays at this position tonight, but I wanted to put a spotlight on Copp because of how well he has been performing of late. In the Jets last 5 games, Copp has been averaging over a point P/game (2 goals, 4 assists), 5 shots on goal per game, and playing near 20 minutes per game while not playing on the power play. Copp was moved up to the Jets top line today with Mark Scheifele ($7,200/$7,600) and Nikolaj Ehlers ($6,100/$6,600) which is a good contrarian stack on a small slate tonight

Other Options: Boeser (VAN) Arvidsson (NSH), Stamkos (TB), Forsberg (NSH), Ovechkin (WAS), Connor (WPG), Toffoli (MTL), Panarin (NYR), Miller (VAN), Gaudreau (CGY), Gallagher (MTL), Rust (PIT)

Top Value Wingers:

DraftKings Value Winger: Kasperi Kapanen & Jason Zucker (PIT) – $3,100/$3,300

FanDuel Value Winger: Nils Hoglander (VAN) – $3,900

Other Options: Lucic (CGY), Coleman (TB), Smith (BOS), Panik (WAS), Granlund (NSH), Ritchie (BOS)

NHL DFS: Defensemen Rankings

Top Defensemen

  1. Roman Jose (NSH)
  2. Victor Hedman (TB)
  3. John Carlson (WAS)
  4. Adam Fox (NYR)
  5. Ryan Ellis (NSH)
  6. Charlie McAvoy (BOS)
  7. Rasmus Andersson (CGY)
  8. Alex Edler (VAN)
  9. Jeff Petry (MTL)
  10. Shea Weber (MTL)

Top Value Defensemen

  1. Juuso Valimaki (CGY)
  2. K’Andre Miller (NYR)
  3. Joel Edmundson (MTL)
  4. Christopher Tanev (CGY)
  5. P.O. Joseph (PIT)
  6. Zdeno Chara (WAS)
  7. Jacon Trouba (NYR)
  8. Ryan McDonagh (TB)
  9. Brandon Carlo (BOS)
  10. Callen Foote (TB)

NHL DFS: Line Stacks

Top Line Stack:

Vancouver Canucks Line 1

JT Miller ($5,400/$6,900) – Elias Pettersson ($6,200/$6,700) – Brock Boeser ($5,800/$6,800)

Top Value stack:

Montreal Canadiens Line 3

Tyler Toffoli ($5,900/$6,000) – Jesperi Kotkaniemi ($3,500/$4,500) – Corey Perry ($2,700/$3,400)

We’re back with another Saturday Night Article! Lot’s of great spots tonight! So buckle up and get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 1/30 NHL slate, we have a huge 11-game slate that begins at 7 pm ET!

1/30 NHL Stack Report

  1. Colorado Avalanche 2
    Saad – Kadri – Burakovski (FanDuel: $16,300 | DraftKings: $11,300)
This line is finally starting to heat up and come out of the shadow of one of the best lines in hockey. Last game they really took over with 3 goals and 3 assists amongst themselves last game. Not to mention they’ll be up against a young goalie who’s already had a couple of games get away from him. I think Kahkonen is good but Colorado should overpower him tonight. Colorado’s top line is also a good option but they’d leave you in major cap trouble.
    Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Cale Makar/Sam Girard (FD: $5,000 | DK: $4,100)
  2. Florida Panthers 1
    Verhaeghe – Barkov – Duclair (FanDuel: $16,200 | DraftKings: $14,500)
This is the line I am really comfortable on in tonights slate. It’s super afforable on both sites with three reliable producers on one line. Can’t ask for much more than that. Oh, they’re also up against one of the worst defensive team in the league. I guess you can ask for more. Florida’s top line is a smash spot for me tonight.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Aaron Ekblad (FD: $5,600 | DK: $6,200)

Honorable Mention(s): Toronto Maple Leafs 1 (Rielly), Winnipeg Jets 2 (Pionk), Dallas Stars PP 1 (Klingberg), Montreal Canadiens 2 (Petry), Vancouver PP 1 (Hughes)

1/30 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Andrei Vasilevskiy (FD: $8,500 | DK: $8,300)
  2. Anton Khudobin (FD: $8,200 | DK: $8,100)
  3. John Gibson (FD: $7,400 | DK: $6,900) (good goalie on a bad team, DK price is off)
Honorable Mention(s): Sergei Bobrovsky (he’s shaky but should win)

Worst

  1. Thomas Griess (FD: $6,600 | DK: $7,700)
    Honorable Mention(s): Koskinen

1/30 NHL Wild Card Targets

Tyler Toffoli (FD: $5,800 | DK: $5,600)
– I always knew Toffoli was a beast, he was one of my top targets in Vancouver last season but I’m shocked by how good he has been to start the season. He’s put up an insane six goals and three assists in his last five games. It’s hard to see him keeping this up all season but it doesn’t look like he’s planning to slow down any time soon.

Honorable Mention(s): Corey Perry, Adam Fox, Noah Dobson, Bryan Rust (Underpriced on FanDuel), Eetu Luostorainen

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Auston Matthews

Winger Carter Verhaeghe

Defence John Klingberg

Goalie Anton Khudobin

As a fan, tonight’s two gamer is hot garbage, but from a DFS perspective its not half bad! So buckle up and get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 1/27 NHL slate, we have a tiny 2-game slate that begins at 7:30 pm ET!

1/27 NHL Stack Report

  1. Vancouver Canucks 2
    Pearson – Horvat – Hoglander (FanDuel: $14,600 | DraftKings: $14,500)
Far and away the best dollar-to-point line in this slate as far as I’m concerned. Pettersson hasn’t put up the points to have VAN1 take that title but they aren’t a bad call either and will be listed in the honorable mentions. Vancouver’s second line on the other hand has crushed the game since the start of the season, anchored by top power-play Center Bo Horvat. Wingers Tanner Pearson and Nils Hoglander have also easily hit value, especially on FanDuel. I will be having a lot of shares of this line as well as the top line. Very very impressive start to the season and going up against a very shaky Matt Murray, Vancouver’s second line will be a staple in my builds tonight.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Quinn Hughes/Nate Schmidt (FD: $5,700 | DK: $6,300)
  2. Chicago Blackhawks 1
    Janmark – Suter – Kane (FanDuel: $15,700 | DraftKings: $16,200)
This line is extremely peculiar. Aside from the mega chalk (and for good reason too) Patrick Kane, there are two very cheaply priced linemates, both with tremendous upside. Aside from the fact that they’re playing alongside Patrick Kane, both have shown signs of brilliance this season, with Pius Suter netting a hat trick two games ago and Janmark scoring in three straight games. Although Kane works as a one-off punt don’t count out his linemates as they can provide tremendous value.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Connor Murphy (FD: $4,200 | DK: $5,400)

    Honorable Mention(s): Vancouver 1 (Hughes), Ottawa 1 (Chabot/Zaitzev), Chicago 2 (Murphy/Keith), Nashville 1 (Josi)

1/27 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Kevin Lankinen (FD: $7,100 | DK: $7,300)
  2. Braden Hotlby (FD: $7,700 | DK: $8,300)
  3. Pekka Rinne (FD: $7,300 | DK: $8,100)

Worst

  1. Matt Murray (FD: $6,700 | DK: $7,000)

1/27 NHL Wild Card Targets

Connor Murphy (FD: $4,200 | DK: $5,400)
– I wouldn’t usually put a defender here but Murphy has been on abolute fire to start the season scoring five points in his last five games cracking 27 minutes of ice-time on multiple occasion. He has also been able to hit both shot and blocked shot bonuses making him extra valuable on DraftKings. He fits really well with a Chicago 1 or Chicago PP1 stack. I wouldn’t be surprised if Murphy put up another stellar performance tonight.

Honorable Mention(s): Brandon Sutter, Mikael Granlund, Connor Brown/Tim Stuezle (Works as a Stack)

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Bo Horvat

Winger Mattias Janmark/Patty Kane (Works as a Stack)

Defence Quinn Hughes or Connor Murphy

Goalie Kevin Lankinen or Braden Holtby

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for Monday night January 25th! Tonight we have a single game showdown slate with a 10 pm Eastern start time

Typically when we have showdown slates we can look to one side having the advantage in net, but when it comes to this matchup tonight, neither Ottawa nor Vancouver have been great on defense or in net.

Both the Senators and Canucks are in the bottom half of the league in goals allowed with Vancouver ranking dead last (31st) with 33 goals allowed in just 7 games. Ottawa isn’t much better, ranking 26th and allowing 20 goals in just 5 games.

I don’t think I will be using either goaltender in this game, and honestly, with how bad all four goalies have been for these teams it doesn’t matter who starts when it comes to building my lineups.

NHL DFS Captain Picks:

One thing to remember, on DraftKings you have to choose your captain carefully because there is a price difference. I will gear this section more to DraftKings for that reason. Also any player listed in this section is also a great play in the flex/util spot as well.

Top Overall Plays:

Brady Tkachuk ($14,700/$14,500)

Tkachuk is far away the Sens best offensive player and is also the highest priced skater on both sites (same price as Pettersson on FD) but he is worth paying up for. In 5 games this season, Tkachuk is averaging nearly 4 shots on goal per game and has 2 goals and 2 assists so far.

JT Miller ($12,600/$13,500)

Miller is my favorite lower priced high end play for this game in the captain spot. While he hasn’t scored yet, to me that just means he’s due, Miller does have 5 assists in just four game this season. Miller is skating on the Canucks second line with Pettersson and Jake Virtanen. Virtanen ($3,600/$7,000) is a potential value play in GPP’s because everyone will most likely pair Miller with Pettersson, or other pieces on the top PP and you can differentiate yourself by using Virtanen and paying up elsewhere.

Value Captains Pick

Jordie Benn ($3,600/$6,000)

Benn is an odd pick to say the least for captain, and is only viable on DK for this spot because of the salary savings. Benn has only played one game because of COVID protocols but contributed in a big way with an assist, a shot on goal, and 3 blocked shots (earing the 3 point bonus) on Saturday. Using Benn at captain on DK leaves you over $9K per player for your final 5 spots and lets you load up on PP skaters and will also make your team very different then the rest of the field.

NHL DFS Flex/Utility Plays:

Ottawa Senators:

Ottawa’s top line is definitely a good place to start especially if you are using Tkachuk as your captain. You can go three man stack from each team if you’d like, but I would prefer to have 4 Senators in my lineups because I think they win this game. Going with the top line stack and then either adding a value piece like Evgenii Dadonov ($4,600/$11,500). Another piece I like to add to the line 1 stack would be Nikita Zaitsev ($7,600/$7,000). Zaitsev is really more of a FanDuel play because of his salary. He doesn’t open as much up on DK as he does on FD. Zaitsev had his 4 game assist streak snapped on Saturday, but that just means he can start a new one on Monday. Zaitsev plays on the Sens top D pair alongside Thomas Chabot ($9,000/$13,000) so he should see plenty of time with the top line.

Vancouver Canucks:

There is a lot to like about this Canucks team except they just aren’t playing well right now so it’s hard to want to roster anyone from this team. Bo Horvat($9,600/$12,500) is the best player on the Canucks right now and he will be in my lineups on Monday. Horvat has points in three straight games totaling 4 goals and 2 assists in that span. During this stretch Horvat also has 7 shots on goal and 2 blocked shots. If you have the salary, Brock Boeser ($8,200/$9,500) is a my second favorite Canuck and make for a nice mini stack with Horvat. After Horvat and Boeser, Tyler Myers ($6,400/$6,500) is a good play and if you are strapped for salary, Adam Gaudette ($2,800/$6,500) is a good value piece.

It’s been a great start to the NHL Season, hope you’ve been winning alongside us! For our latest slate of the NHL season, we have a nice 4-game slate that begins at 7 pm!

1/23 NHL Stack Report

  1. St. Louis Blues 2
    Schwartz – Schenn – Kyrou (FanDuel: $14,700 | DraftKings: $13,100)
The Blues have the highest implied goal total going up against a Kings side that has very questionable defence and will most likely turn to the extremely inconsistent Jonathan Quick who is one of the goalies I am looking to target tonight. Not to mention this stack is extremely affordable with each of these players allowing you to fit in an expensive stack without sacrificing production.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Torey Krug (FD: $4,900 | DK: $5,600)
  2. Winnipeg Jets 1
    Connor – Scheifele – Wheeler (FanDuel: $18,400 | DraftKings: $21,000)
With Laine out, there are three players that are just ahead of the rest of the Jets roster and its all three members of the top line. Each member has been extremely consistent to start the season and are coming off two games against the Sens where each of them have potted a goal for a total of 10 points (4 Goals, 6 Assists) in just two games against the Senators, who have very lacklustre defence.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Neal Pionk (FD: $4,900 | DK: $5,100)

Honorable Mention(s): Boston 1 (Grzelyck), Los Angeles 1 (Doughty), Ottawa 2 (Zaitzev), Philadelphia 2 (Provorov)

1/23 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Connor Hellebuyck (FD: $8,400 | DK: $8,200)
  2. Carter Hart (FD: $8,300 | DK: $7,600)
  3. Jordan Binnington (FD: $7,300 | DK: $8,400)
    Honorable Mention(s): Halak, Price

Worst

  1. Matt Murray (FD: $6,900 | DK: $7,200)
    Honorable Mention(s): Jonathan Quick

1/23 NHL Wild Card Targets

Tyler Toffoli (FD: $4,900 | DK: $5,100)
– Wow. Just wow. Tyler’s last two games have been off the charts and although it’s risky, I wouldn’t mind striking the iron while its hot and taking another shot at the Canadiens winger. Six points in two games is truly unbelievable and at his price even two points will be more than welcome.

Honorable Mention(s): Andreas Anthanasiou, Alexander Romanov, Mike Hoffman

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Mark Schiefele

Winger Kyle Connor or Jaden Schwartz

Defence Neal Pionk

Goalie Connor Hellebuyck or Jordan Binnington (FanDuel value)
