NHL Betting Picks Thursday 4/1

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 4/1. An easy 1-0 day for The Model last night with Toronto easily beating Winnipeg 3-1. Both of the leans hit too with Colorado dummying Arizona 9-3 and the over hitting before the 1st period ended, and LA as a +190 dog beating Vegas 4-2. I got ratted from Tuesday or else I would’ve took those. Of course that happens. Whatever, on to today.

We have 9 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Lightning Puck Line (-1.5, -108) over the Blue Jackets
  • Rangers Money Line (-250) and Puck Line (-1.5, +110) over the Sabres
  • Panthers Money Line (-245) over the Red Wings
  • Canadiens Puck Line (-1.5, +132) over the Senators
  • Penguins Money Line (+107) over the Bruins
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-162) over the Blackhawks
  • Predators Money Line (+108) over the Stars
  • Wild Puck Line (+1.5, -200) over the Golden Knights

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Free Picks

Rangers -1.5 (+110): The Sabres are on cloud 9 after finally getting a win last night. The bad news is they face a red hot Rangers team tonight. The Rangers are +9.32u on the puck line on the road this season and the Sabres are -10.67u at home, a 19u difference. That alone makes me like it but throw in the fact the Sabres won last night, are probably not playing Ullmark because of a B2B, and the Rangers hot streak of late just makes me love it even more. This seems like a no-brainer.

Capitals/Islanders Over 5.5 (+105): The Capitals rank second in the NHL in total goals this season (6.2), while the Isles rank second-to-last (5.12). However the Islanders hit their over 68.75% of the time at home. The Caps have a lot of shooting talent leading the league in Goals Scored Above Expected. They’ve scored 3, 6, and 3 goals respectively in 3 matchups with the Islanders this season. The over has only hit in 1 of those matchups but I like getting the 5.5 number at plus money.

Premium Pick

Lightning -1.5 (-108): The Lightning lost against Columbus on Tuesday, but the numbers still suggest they should beat them by more than a goal. The good news is we have Vasilevskiy in net so that should improve the defensive side of things. The Lightning are +10.39u on the puck line at home this season and Columbus is -7.72u on the road. Tampa have yet to cover the puck line against Columbus this year which scares me a little bit, however I think they come out with some force tonight and get it done.

We’re back with another Wednesday Night Win Daily NHL Article! Tonight we have a nice sized 6-game slate ahead of us. With that in mind, there is a lot to cover tonight, so let’s get right into it. Get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 3/31 NHL slate, the slate begins at 7:30 pm ET, so don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

Keep in mind!!! FanDuel has updated their NHL tournaments, and they now include two UTIL spots which have replaced two winger spots. DraftKings has stayed the same but don’t forget last season they revamped the scoring and added stats bonuses, so if you’re new to NHL or haven’t played in a while, check out our live stream on the WinDaily YouTube by clicking here and read through the rules on the site of your choice!

3/31 NHL Stack Report

  1. Colorado Avalanche 1
    Rantanen – MacKinnon – Landeskog (FanDuel: $24,300 | DraftKings: $23,800)
Colorado is far and away the top play of the slate tonight. Tonight they’ll be hosting the Arizona coyotes and despite the fact that Arizona has played well as of late, Colorado is just a different beast this season, especially at home holding an astronomical 14-4-2 home record. This line is very pricey (most expensive on the slate), so you can use today’s wild card as a power-play stack with this top line to alleviate some salary constraints, but ultimately you’ll want at least two pieces from Colorado’s monster top line. Colorado also holds the best odds on the slate at -285 at the time of writing and the highest live implied total at 3.6 expected goals. Lock Colorado in, especially in cash lines.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Cale Makar (FD: $5,800 | DK: $5,700)
  2. Philadelphia Flyers 2
    Giroux – Hayes – Farabee (FanDuel: $16,300 | DraftKings: $16,400)
    – I was really debating on whether or not to recommend the first or second line, ultimately I went with the second line as they are easier to stack, but you can also mix and match both lines to form power play stacks. The premise for this recommendation is very straightforward. Buffalo has lost 18 straight games. In most of those games, Buffalo has given up 3 or more goals, and they can’t hold on to a lead to save their life, coughing up 3 straight goals third-period goals to the Flyers last game en route to a 4-3 comeback win in overtime to continue the record-breaking losing streak. The Sabres are really slumping hard, and we need to take advantage of that. Philadelphia opened the day at a 3.6 implied goal total and is around 3.3 at the time of writing this article, so Vegas still has this one going Philly’s way.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Ivan Provorov (FD: $5,000 | DK: $5,200)

    Honorable Mention(s): TOR1, VGK1, MIN1

3/31 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Jack Campbell (FD: $8,200 | DK: $8,000)
  2. Philipp Grubauer (FD: $8,600 | DK: $8,400)

Honorable Mention(s): Lehner, Kahkonen, Petersen (GPP Risky), Elliott (GPP Risky)

Worst

  1. Linus Ullmark (FD: $6,600 | DK: $7,300)
    Honorable Mention(s): Hill, Jones

3/31 NHL Wild Card Targets

Joonas Donskoi (FD: $3,400 | DK: $4,000)
– When I look at Donskoi’s price, I can’t help but feel like something is off. His FanDuel price is a joke, and he’s still a bargain on DraftKings. Donskoi has been incredibly consistent as of late, has gotten a few multipoint games and plays top power-play minutes so he stacks well with Colorado’s top line (MacKinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog and Makar), and he’s seeing more and more playing time with each passing game, seeing around 15 minutes a game now. Colorado also holds one of the highest implied goal totals on the slate, as mentioned above and is up against the inconsistent Adin Hill. I will be locking Donskoi in tonight.

Honorable Mention(s): Hyman, Iafallo

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Nathan MacKinnon

Winger Zach Hyman

Defence Cale Makar

Goalie Jack Campbell (Elliott works if you need the extra salary)

NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 3/31

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 3/31. The Model had a rough one last night. 0-3. We were prime for a regression due to my unreal winning percentage as of late. We can’t overreact to 1 bad night. We take a step back and re-evaluate and move on to tonight.

We have 6 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Flyers Money Line (-200) and Puck Line (-1.5, +123) over the Sabres
  • Jets Puck Line (+1.5, -220) over the Maple Leafs
  • Golden Knights Money Line (-225) over the Kings
  • Wild Puck Line (-1.5, +160) over the Sharks

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. There are a couple leans tonight such as the Coyotes/Avs over 5.5. Colorado is 7-1 in their last 8 and Coyotes are 4-1 in their last 5, but these teams also have gone multiple games in a row against each other on the under so take it with caution. The Kings +190 also has some value as The Model has their number around +173, but I also find it hard to bet against Vegas. However I am just taking 1 game tonight.

My Picks

Leafs ML (-140): Toronto is coming off an OT loss to Edmonton and Winnipeg is coming off a 5-1 win against Calgary. Both these teams have been inconsistent of late and are fighting for that top spot in the North. The Model has the Leafs as a -155 favorite so we get a decent edge on them here. In their season matchups this season the Leafs have 17.38 xG to the Jets 9.95, but the Jets have outscored the Leafs 13-11. I see a bounce back for the Leafs and like this price we can get them at.

NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 3/30

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 3/30. The Model is on fire going 3-1 last night, including the late Oilers ML +130 add (announced on Twitter) when it was confirmed Hutchinson was in net for the Leafs. The Avs looked like a -440 favorite dominating the Ducks for an easy puck line cover in a 5-2 win. Only loser was the over 5.5 in Vegas/LA which hit 5 goals, LA just couldn’t pull their weight in a 4-1 loss.

We have 7 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Devils Puck Line (+1.5, -157) over the Bruins
  • Devils/Bruins Under 5.5 (-138)
  • Panthers Money Line (-240) over the Red Wings
  • Capitals Money Line (-110) over the Rangers
  • Rangers Puck Line (+1.5, -275) over the Capitals
  • Lightning Puck Line (-1.5, +100) and Money Line (-250) over the Blue Jackets
  • Oilers Money Line (+114) over the Canadiens
  • Predators Money Line (+105) over the Stars

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. Also wanted to quickly show my current NHL betting stats on the season via BetStamp (feel free to follow).

  • +35.8u
  • 15.8% ROI

My Picks

Devils/Bruins Under 5.5 (-138): I hate grabbing this much juice on an under but the numbers are forcing my hand. All 5 matchups between these teams have been 5 goals or under. The Bruins have yet to score a 5v5 goal against NJ. The Devils are at 5.29 total goals/game and the Bruins are even lower at 4.82. The Devils are Bruins both hit their overs at less than 43% of the games. Boston is even lower at home at 28%. Should get Blackwood for NJ who has been playing unreal as of late. Hate unders but we ride tonight.

Lightning -1.5 (+100): Let’s ride with another puck line tonight, this time taking the Lightning. The Lightning are +8u on the puck line and the Blue Jackets are -9u for a 17u difference. The Lightning are even better at home (+11.3u). Huge edge. The Blue Jackets also looked awful against Detroit. I’m a little nervous Torts gets the boys fired up for Tampa tonight, but based on their recent run of play we have to ride the Lightning here. UPDATE: I took this before McElhinney was confirmed. The line is now at +125 and I don’t know if I still like it but we are already locked in.

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for a Tuesday night! Tonight we have another seven-game slate, so let’s get back at it!

We are back with seven games on the slate tonight and only one team on a back-to-back (Edmonton). Looking at the odds for the slate tonight, it looks to be a low scoring night but I just don’t see it. We have some high scoring teams and some suspect goaltending options. There are also a couple of teams that are bad, not Buffalo bad, but are pretty bad in their own right (looking at you Columbus and Detroit). This is a compact seven-game slate with only two games starting later than 7 pm eastern, and no games starting later than 8 pm (sorry West Coast fans, it’s an East Coast slate)

NHL DFS: Goaltenders

Similar to last night there is one obvious option in net, Andrei Vasilevskiy ($8,500/$8,700). Vasilevskiy is on the road at Columbus in what should be a pretty easy win for Tampa. Columbus is not a high-volume shot team as they only average 28.3 per game, and Tampa only allows 28.2 per game. I don’t know if Vasilevskiy can make value tonight at his inflated price. Similarly, Sergei Bobrovsky ($8,400/$7,900) is at home to Detroit and will have a had time making value, especially on DK. I can see playing him on FanDuel at his lower price there though.

Alex Nedeljkovic ($8,000/8,500)

Nedeljkovic is my top option in net tonight on the road against the Blackhawks. Chicago is one of the better offensive teams in the league this season but they haven’t been scoring much of late. In their last five games, Chicago is averaging 34 shots on goal and only scoring 2.4 goals per game. On the flip side, Nedeljkovic is only allowing 1.8 goals per game in his last 5 starts.

Other Options: Pekka Rinne ($7,600), Igor Shesterkin ($$7,700/$7,400), Vitek Vanecek ($7,800/$8,500), Jaroslav Halak ($8,100)

NHL DFS: Slate Overview

Like last night we have some obvious options when it comes to stacking. Edmonton is on a back-to-back but they are still a top option. Both Tampa and Florida are in great spots like I mentioned above and should be considered. Boston’s top line is still a great option even if Brad Marchand is out again. Any time we have The Great 8, Alex Ovechkin ($8,400/$8,600), on a slate he and his linemates are in play. I love all those teams and play to get exposure to some however I can, but to be different in GPP’s tonight I think we need to look to an offense who has been scoring at will of late…

New York Rangers:

Not many teams have been on fire offensively like the Ranger has of late. In their last ten games, the Blueshirts have averaged 3.9 goals per game and have scored 8 and 9 goals in two of those games. While those goal outbursts were against a dismal Flyers goaltending unit, they have lit the lamp against Washington as well. They are averaging 3 goals a game against the Caps in their last 4 against the division leaders.

It’s not just one line that is getting it done for the Rangers either, all of their top 3 lines are contributing during this hot stretch. Nobody has been hotter than Mika Zibanejad ($7,600/$7,900) has of late. New York’s top-line center has 18 points in his last 10 games, but 12 of those points have come in two games against the Flyers. I don’t mind a Rangers top-line stack tonight, but I think I would rather look to the Rangers second line tonight. I would rather take the savings and start my Rangers stacks with Ryan Strome ($6,000/$5,900).

Strome has been on fire as well with 14 points during his current 9 game point streak. During his point streak, Strome has 28 shots on goal to go along with the 2 goals and 12 assists. Against the Caps this season, Strome has 3 goals and 4 assists. Playing alongside Strome on the Rangers’ second line is Artemi Panarin ($7,700/$7,600) and Kaapo Kakko ($3,000/$4,000). This is a balanced line price-wise, and even though I don’t love the idea of playing Kakko he makes this an easy line to fit in your lineups tonight. Both Strome and Panarin give you exposure to the Rangers’ top power-play unit as well. If you are looking to make this a high-priced stack you can use Zibanejad or Chris Kreider ($5,900/$6,600) as part of your stack. I would prefer to go with a defenseman for a PP1 stack and roster Adam Fox ($6,500/$5,800).

I don’t love paying up for dmen but Fox is one of the best in the league. Fox is currently riding a seven-game point streak of his own during which he has totaled 1 goal and 13 assists to go along with averaging over 24 minutes of ice time a game.

Other Stacking Options:

Top Line Stacks:

  • Edmonton 1 vs Montreal
  • Boston 1 vs New Jersey
  • Washington 1 vs NY Rangers
  • Dallas 1 vs Nashville
  • Carolina 1 vs Chicago
  • Tampa 2 vs Columbus
  • Florida 2 vs Detroit – I think this line comes in at really low ownership because people will focus on using Huberdeau
  • Montreal 1 vs Edmonton
  • Chicago 1 vs Carolina

Top Value Stacks:

  • Nashville 1 vs Dallas
  • Tampa 3 vs Columbus
  • Montreal 2 vs Edmonton
  • Detroit 1 vs Florida
  • Boston 2 vs New Jersey
  • New Jersey 2 vs Boston
  • Washington 2 vs NY Rangers
  • Nashville 2 vs Dallas

NHL DFS: Defensemen Rankings

** Remember to always try and pair your defenseman up with forwards. One-off dmen are not usually the best option**

NHL Betting Picks Monday 3/29

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Monday 3/29. The Model just had 1 play last night and it was a loser. Columbus is bad this year, losing back-to-back games against freaking Detroit. Might put Columbus on my blacklist for the season along with Montreal. Also probably should’ve took the Devils as a +150 dog against the Bruins. They are now 4-0-1 against Boston somehow. Whatever we move on to today.

We have 7 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Islanders Puck Line (+1.5, -286) over the Penguins
  • Flyers Puck Line (-1.5, +125) and Money Line (-190) over the Sabres
  • Avalanche Money Line (-385) over the Ducks
  • Jets Puck Line (+1.5, -265) and Money Line (+104) over the Flames
  • Wild Puck Line (-1.5, +155) and Money Line (-162) over the Sharks
  • Golden Knights/Kings Over 5.5 (-110)

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. That Avalanche line is outrageous, might be the biggest favorite this season.

My Picks

Free Picks

Avalanche -1.5 (-135): I see a +315 dog with the Ducks and think instantly I have to take it because of how high it is. Surely there is value on the Ducks. Then I ran The Model which suggests the line should be -451/+451. Shit. Considering we are getting 250 points of value between ML and PL, I am riding the Avs puck line tonight.

Jets ML (+104): I keep going back and forth on this matchup. I took Jets on Friday when they won 3-2. Then I followed up by taking Calgary on Saturday when they won 4-2. It’s only right I go back to the Jets tonight with plus money on a game that is truly a 50/50 coin flip.

Premium Pick

Golden Knights/Kings Over 5.5 (-110): Both of these teams are hitting just over 50% of their overs. Taking it a step further Vegas’ over win percentage at home is 68.75% and LA is 55.56% on the road. Both teams are averaging 5.5 total goals so this line is right on. Following a big win on Saturday I think Vegas rides that momentum to put some goals in the back of the net tonight.

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for a Monday night! Tonight we have a seven-game slate, so let’s get started!

With seven games on the slate tonight we have plenty of options to choose from when building our lineups tonight. That may seem like a good thing, but some nights it can be a bad thing. Looking at tonight’s slate we have 5 of the top 10 teams in goals scored (and Vegas is #11) on this slate so there should be plenty of goals scored. We just need to pick the right teams and the right lines, and we all know how easy that is (insert eye roll emoji)

NHL DFS: Goaltenders

There is one obvious play in net tonight, Philipp Grubauer ($8,500/$8,100). Colorado is home to the Ducks who are on the second night of a road back to back. Anaheim just played an overtime game on the road Sunday night in St. Louis, and as one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league who is now also a tired team without one of their best players ( Rickard Rakell), this matchup seems easy for the Av’s netminder. If you are playing cash or on FanDuel, then Grubauer is your guy, but if you’re on DraftKings then this next play may be the one for you.

Kaapo Kahkonen ($7,900/$8,300)

Kahkonen hasn’t played in over a week for the Wild because Cam Talbot ($7,700/$8,300) has been the hot hand in net. If the Wild go back to Talbot tonight is an equally fine play as well. I think the Wild give Kahkonen the start tonight in San Jose against a Sharks team that ranks towards the bottom in most offensive categories. San Jose is 27th in goals for, and average just 2.6 per game. In their last 10 games San Jose has been allowing over 30 saves per game and near 18 FPPG. Kahkonen has mad 2 starts and appeared in a 3rd game, stopping 79 of 85 shots for a .929 sv% and made 31 saves the last time out against San Jose in a Minnesota 6-2 win.

Other Options: Tristan Jarry ($7,800/$8,400), Robin Lehner ($8,200), Connor Hellebuyck ($7,700/$8,500), David Rittich ($7,800/$7,00)

NHL DFS: Slate Overview

Once again, with so many of the top goal scoring teams on this slate (Edm,Col,Tor,Pit,Wpg,VGK) there will be plenty of options for us to use. Of course all three of Edmonton, Toronto, and Colorado’s top lines are in play. Vegas’ top line may be one of the best options on the slate at home to LA. We saw Pittsburgh’s top line destroy the Islanders on Saturday night. All these lines are in play tonight, but I have another line that could rival the scores these teams put up tonight.

Philadelphia Flyers :

Philly has not been the most prolific offensive team of late, notching just 13 goals in their last 5 games (3 loses). Just like you go to the doctor when you’re sick, NHL teams go to Buffalo to feel better and that’s what Philadelphia does tonight.

I like multiple lines from the Flyers tonight, but their top unit stands out to me as the one line that should get it done against the Sabres. They are not overly expensive but have one of the higher ceilings on the slate tonight. Sean Couturier ($6,300/$7,400) centers the top line and he comes in riding a three-game point streak (3 goals 2 assists). On the wings are James van Riemsdyk ($6,100/$5,600) and Travis Konecny ($4,900/$5,600) who haven’t been as hot as Couturier but in this matchup, they could get going. JVR has 4 points (2 goals 2 assists) against Buffalo this season, and Konecny has added a goal against the Sabres. All three are also on the Flyers’ top PP unit, playing against the Sabres who in the bottom third of the league in PK%. Kevin Hayes ($5,500/$5,100) and Shayne Gostisbehere ($5,100/$3,700) round out the Flyers top power-play unit. I really like Ghost on FD today at his cheap $3.7K price tag and he has already scored twice against the Sabres in just three games this season.

Other Stacking Options:

Top Line Stacks:

  • Colorado 1 vs Anaheim
  • Toronto 1 vs Edmonton
  • Pittsburgh 1 vs NY Islanders
  • Edmonton 1 vs Toronto
  • Winnipeg 2 vs Calgary
  • Minnesota 1 vs San Jose
  • Vegas 1 vs Los Angeles
  • Toronto 2 vs Edmonton
  • Philadelphia 2 vs Buffalo
  • Los Angeles 1 vs Vegas
  • Winnipeg 1 vs Calgary

Top Value Stacks:

  • Colorado 2 vs Anaheim
  • Vegas 2 vs Los Angeles
  • NY Islanders 3 vs Pittsburgh
  • Pittsburgh 2 vs NY Islanders
  • Los Angeles 2 vs Vegas
  • Colorado 3 vs Anaheim
  • Edmonton 2 vs Toronto
  • Minnesota 2 vs San Jose

We’re back with a rare Sunday Night Win Daily NHL Article! Tonight we have only four games ahead of us. With that in mind, there is a lot to cover on tonight’s slate. Get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 3/28 NHL slate, the slate begins at 5 pm ET, so don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates!

3/28 NHL Stack Report

  1. Boston Bruins 1
    Pastrnak – Bergeron – Frederic (FanDuel: $18,600 | DraftKings: $19,100)
Yep, this is the chalk of the slate, and rightfully so. In a small four-game slate like this, the only mismatch really stands out. Boston has HEAVILY been relying on their top line to do all their scoring, so it’s gonna be hard to ignore them tonight, especially in cash games where they are a must-play. They also have one of the highest implied totals on the slate (tied with the Blues) at 3.3 implied goals. They are definitely more affordable with Marchand out, but I haven’t seen any production out of Frederic that makes me trust him. I’d recommend playing the two studs (Pastrnak and Bergeron) then completing the stack with either the defensive partner (Grzelyck) or one of their power play linemates (Ritchie and Krejci, especially Ritchie…)
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Matt Grzelyck (FD: $4,200 | DK: $4,900)
  2. Nashville Predators 1
    Tolvanen – Johansen – Arvidsson (FanDuel: $14,300 | DraftKings: $13,600)
    – This line hasn’t been the greatest when it comes to output and losing Forsberg definitely hurts their production, but their matchup tonight is too good to ignore. Malcolm Subban is not a good goalie. Giving up 4 to Tampa and 6 to Dallas makes a little sense but coughing up 5 to Detroit is downright embarrassing. He’s been so bad that he lost a starting job on one of the poorer defensive teams in the league to a rookie who was only on his second AHL season. His stat line makes the point better than I ever could. Over nine games this season, he’s averaged over 3 goals allowed per game and holds a save percentage slightly above .900. It’s really smart to target Subban tonight. Also, Tolvanen has excelled as of late, and his price hasn’t quite caught up yet. Like with Boston, in playing this line, I would recommend going with two of the forwards (one being Tolvanen) and the defensive partner Roman Josi.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Roman Josi (FD: $6,500 | DK: $6,700)

    Honorable Mention(s): DAL1, STL2, CHI1, FLA2 (GPP)

3/28 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Jaroslav Halak (FD: $7,800 | DK: $8,200)
  2. Jake Oettinger (FD: $7,400 | DK: $7,700)

    Honorable Mention(s): Rinne, Binnington

Worst

  1. Malcolm Subban (FD: $7,300 | DK: $7,800)
Honorable Mention(s): Blackwood (bad matchup), Gibson

3/28 NHL Wild Card Targets

Jason Robertson (FD: $4,300 | DK: $4,500)
– This kid is terrific, and despite an off night last night, he is definitely moulding into his new top-line role very nicely. He’ll be in a little tougher against a better goalie tonight, but at his price, it’s very hard to go wrong. He stacks really well with Pavelski and Klingberg, and he still has 7 points in his last 7 games, not bad for the rookie, definitely Wild Card material.

Honorable Mention(s): Grimaldi, Verhaeghe, Kuokkanen

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Joe Pavelski

Winger David Pastrnak

Defence Roman Josi

Goalie Jaroslav Halak (Oettinger works if you need the extra salary)

NHL Betting Picks Saturday 3/25

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Saturday 3/25. The Model has a quiet 1-0 night as Winnipeg squeaked out a 3-2 win against Calgary. Getting them plus money was a steal as Calgary has been wildly inconsistent all season. And they play again today with their backup in net so you had to think the Jets were going to have the juice last night, which they did.

We have a monster 11 game NHL slate tonight including a couple 1:00 games. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Rangers Puck Line (-1.5, +188) over the Flyers
  • Bruins Money Line (-375) over the Sabres
  • Lightning Puck Line (-1.5, +210) over the Hurricanes
  • Islanders Puck Line (-1.5, +230) over the Penguins
  • Panthers Money Line (-104) over the Stars
  • Jets Money Line (+108) and Puck Line (+1.5, -250) over the Flames

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. We have the biggest line on the season with the Bruins -375 over the Sabres this afternoon. There’s some value on Buffalo +300, but there is just no way I touch a game like that.

My Picks

Free Picks

Flyers ML (+116): Am I crazy for taking the Flyers today? Probably. Their recent run of form is mind boggling to say the least. Carter Hart has been awful this season so it’s good that Elliot is in net today. 1:00 games tend to be wacky. It’s also Shesterkin’s first game back in a couple of weeks maybe he comes out rusty. The Flyers have too much talent to fold over and after getting pumped again by the Rangers on Thursday I have a feeling they come out pissed today. Or they’ll just get absolutely wrecked again, but at plus money I’ll feel less bad about it.

Bruins/Sabres Under 5.5 (-124): I lied I am touching this game but not on the team side. The Bruins and Sabres quite frankly do not generate much offense. Surprising to say that about the Bruins but not the Sabres. Both teams average under 5.5 total goals this season. The Bruins might be able to run circles around the Sabres today, but the Bruins stingy defense should be enough to get this to hit.

Premium Pick

Flames ML (-125): The Jets won the first leg of this coin flip matchup last night. The Flames played them tighter than I would have liked, which bodes well for today. The Jets also have Brossoit in net which is a positive for the Flames. The Flames are in the midst of a 3-game losing streak and I think they come out fired up tonight.

3/27 NHL Stack Report

  1. Chicago Blackhawks 1
    Kane – Suter – DeBrincat (FanDuel: $19,100 | DraftKings: $18,800)
Here’s the thing, Nashville played well last game, but this season, their defence has been really suspect near the league’s bottom in shots allowed and goals allowed. On the other side of this game, Chicago has really top-heavy scoring (really only see scoring from 5 guys), yet their GPG average is still respectable at 2.91, which falls close to the number of goals Rinne is letting in per game this season (3). Not to mention Chicago has one of the best power plays in the league, while Nashville has one of the league’s worst penalty kills. Also, Chicago has just been a different beast at home, while Nashville hasn’t been good on the road all season, losing 11 of 18 on the road.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Connor Murphy (FD: $3,700 | DK: $4,200)
  2. Dallas Stars 1
    Pavelski – Hintz – Robertson (FanDuel: $17,100 | DraftKings: $15,200)
    – This line POPPED OFF last game, and tonight they’ll have another chance to that against an injured Panthers team who are starting a really shaky goalie in Sergei Bobrovsky. If they get to him early, this game could very well get out of hand. The lack of price increase makes this line a top play, as well as you can squeeze in more expensive lines without filling spots with players who have low ceilings. Especially on DraftKings, where you have a huge discount. (I knew Robertson would find his spark eventually, didn’t think he would do it so fast in his career, though)
Ideal Defensive Partner: John Klingberg (Miro Heiskanen as a salary saver) (FD: $5,500 | DK: $5,000)

    Honorable Mention(s): TOR1, WPG1, CAR1, EDM1

3/27 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Kevin Lankinen (FD: $7,100 | DK: $8,100)
  2. Laurent Brossoit (FD: $8,400 | DK: $7,000)

Honorable Mention(s): Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Prosvetov (if he plays hes cheap)

Worst

  1. Devan Dubnyk (FD: $7,600 | DK: $7,000)
    Honorable Mention(s): Rittich, Rinne

3/27 NHL Wild Card Targets

Oliver Wahlstrom (FD: $4,000 | DK: $3,400)
– We’re going right back to the well on Wahlstrom. His price hasn’t really risen and he’s still producing. The last time was no exception, he got us a goal and the person I suggested pairing him with, Jean Gabriel Pageau got a goal and two assists! That pair on NYI can do some serious damage. If you need the extra salary these guys got you covered.

Honorable Mention(s): Chychrun (GTD), Rust, Simmonds, Hyman, Tippett

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Winger Roope Hintz

Winger Patrick Kane

Defence Dougie Hamilton

Goalie Kevin Lankinen (on FanDuel) / Laurent Brossoit (on DraftKings)
