Justin Allgaier, Alex Bowman, Tyler Reddick, Austin Dillon, John Nemechek, Ty Dillon, and Daniel Suarez.

Drivers that may not be attractive plays on FanDuel, can be better plays on DraftKings. Check out WinDaily’s DraftKings article for today:

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS: Pit Stop for Sunday, July 5th’s Cup series race from Indianapolis Motor Speedway! This race is usually called the Brickyard 400, but like with everything nowadays, we have a sponsor this year so the Brickyard is no more and welcome Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 from IMS.

IMS is similar to Pocono as it’s a 2.5-mile track and it is also very hard to make passes here. Track position will once again be key and with only 160 laps and 120 dominator points available will be focusing on the drivers who can run up front all day. Since I use DraftKings pricing (that is the site I play on) I will tell you that if you want to pay $11,500 for Christopher Bell go ahead, but I will not be recommending him in this article as I do not see a path to him making value and paying off that price tag. Here is your DraftKings breakdown!

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Kevin Harvick: $11,000

Starting Position: 11th

Kevin Harvick is the defending champion of this race and is one of the favorites to win it again, especially after his performances last weekend at Pocono. Harvick starts 11th, giving him the best place differential of all the dominators in this race and with a win and lead the majority of the laps in this race. If Harvick gets out front he will be hard to pass as he showed last weekend in Pocono.

Kyle Busch: 10,400

Starting Position: 7th

As if 2020 wasn’t already a weird enough year, Kyle Busch has yet to register a Cup series victory this season but that could change on Sunday. Kyle does have 2 wins at IMS and dominated in one of those races leading 149 laps from the pole. While he has had some bad luck both here at IMS, and last week, in recent races here (he has DNF’s in 2 of the last 3 at IMS), he still has what it takes to win and he is angry and feeling the pressure and that is the kind of Kyle Busch we want in fantasy.

Denny Hamlin: $10,100

Starting Position: 6th

Is Denny Hamlin underpriced at $10.1K this week? Maybe, but either way, he could definitely pay off that price tag with another performance like last weekend at Pocono. Denny Hamlin is my pick to win this race on Sunday and get his first win at Indy. Hamlin may not have a win here yet, but he does have 5 finishes of 6th or better in his last 6 at IMS.

Other Options: Chase Elliott ($10,700), Brad Keselowski ($9,800)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Ryan Blaney: $9,400

Starting Position: 12th

After Hamlin, Blaney is my next favorite play on this slate. Over his last 7 races, Blaney has led at least 20 laps in 5 of them and also led 19 laps here last year. Blaney had 4 straight top 5’s coming into Pocono and will look to get back into the top 5 this weekend.

Clint Bowyer: $9,000

Starting Position: 22nd

Clint Bowyer is a real value at $9K this weekend because of his immense upside. With Bowyer starting 22nd and having top 10 potential he will almost certainly destroy his value on Sunday. Last weekend in Pocono Bowyer came home 7th and 8th, and if we can get a similar finish this weekend he could be the difference to a takedown and a near miss.

Other Options: Joey Logano($9,200 – has potential to lead a ton of laps from the pole) William Byron ($8,700), Matt DiBenedetto ($8,300), Erik Jones ($8,100),.

The Mid-tier this week leaves much to be desired, and outside of the drivers mentioned I won’t’ have more than 10% of the drivers in this tier.

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier

Aric Almirola ($7,400)

Starting Position: 5th

I don’t usually recommend using Almirola when he starts this high up in the field, but coming off 4 straight top 5 finishes we have to consider him. Since he is starting 5th I expect Almirola to be low owned making him a great GPP play on Sunday.

Ty Dillon ($6,800)

Starting Position: 29th

I don’t love Dillon’s price, but with him starting 29th, he could present us with the value we need to help take down a tournament. Last week at Pocono, Ty Dillon finished 23rd and 26th, while those aren’t great finishes they give you near 30 points on DK.

Ryan Preece ($5,800)

Starting Position: 36th

Preece might be the most owned driver in this entire race starting in the 36th spot and priced as low as he is. In two races last weekend, Preece had an average finish of 22.5 which we would most definitely take on Sunday. Preece’s low price will make him a sexy pick on Sunday, but I don’t see a reason to fade him. I like pairing him up with Michael McDowell ($5,700) to load up on top tier drivers.

Other Options: Ricky Stenhouse ($7,200), Austin Dillon ($6,700), Justin Allgaier ($6,600 – MME ONLY), Chris Buescher ($6,500 – priced TOO low), JH Nemechek ($5,400)

NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: Xfinity Series 7/4/20

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: Xfinity Series 7/4/20 for the Pennzoil 150 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway: Road Course. This is the first road course of the 2020 season for the Xfinity Series and the first at the IMS Road Course.

We will FINALLY have practice speeds and times to go on for this race and that will help us greatly as we build our lineups for Saturdays race. Even without practice times we already knew we wanted AJ Allmendinger who starts 30th on Saturday and will be a huge place differential play. Austin Cindric will be the other chalk driver for this race. Cindric and Allmendinger combined to win 3 of the 4 road course races in the 2019 Xfinity Series season and are the front runners to win this race. I could easily see each of them garnering over 70% ownership, and could be in 60% of lineups together. With only 62 laps in this race we once again are not looking for dominator points, but instead we need to focus on place differential plays and finishing positions.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Austin Cindric ($10,500)

Starting Position: 10th

Austin Cindric is one of the most obvious plays this weekend, and even though he will be the 2nd highest owned driver on Saturday he is somebody I will not be fading. While we aren’t looking for dominator points, we do need to get them where we can. Cindric led 59 laps in 4 RC races last season and could lead the majority of the early laps in this race.

Justin Allgaier ($10,000)

Starting Position: 5th

Allgaier was the next best road course driver after Cindric and Allmendinger (more on him late) in 2019. In 4 RC races, Allgaier had two top 5 finishes and finished in the top 10 in all 4 races. Allgaier averaged a 5.5 finish last season and will push Cindric for the early lead while Allmendinger makes his was through the field. In practice on Friday, Allgaier was 5th in both sessions. He doesn’t have the same place differential upside that Chase Briscoe ($10,200) has, but he is a solid play for sure.

Noah Gragson ($9,800)

Starting Position: 8th

Gragson is one of the best drivers in the Xfinity series this season, and while he didn’t win at any of the 4 road course races in 2019, he was in contention in all of them. Last season Gragson finished with 3 top 5’s, and finished in the top 10 in all 4. Gragson led only 1 lap on road courses in 2019, but he did have an average finish of 5.8 and averaged 43.1 DKFP last season on road courses.

NASCAR DFS Mid Tier:

Alex Labbe ($8,900)

Starting Position: 22nd

Labbe has a good history in his career at road courses and with him starting 22nd he is definitely one of my favorite plays in this atrocious mid tier we have this week. In practice on Friday Labbe was 16th and 9th, so a top 15, or top 10 is not out of the question for the #90 car on Saturday

Jeremy Clements ($8,700)

Starting Position: 21st

Clements averaged a top 10 finish in the 4 road course races last season as well as averaging over 33 DKFP per race. Clements is pretty much in the same position as Labbe in which he could easily come away with a top 10 finish and pay off his salary easily. In practice on Friday, Clements came away with the 6th and 10th best practice times, so a top 5 is even a possibility on Saturday.

Myatt Snider ($7,800)

Starting Position: 26th

Snider is back in the #93 car this week with Anthony Alfredo ($8,000) back in the RCR 21. In practice on Friday, Snider was 25th in first, but in final practice he was 16th so a top 15 finish is in the cards for Snider. It’s more likely he comes home closer to 20th, but he is a good pivot off Labbe/Clements in GPP’s.

Other Options: Riley Herbst ($9,000), Anthony Alfredo ($8,000)

NASCAR DFS Value Tier:

For the Value Tier I will usually list my favorite plays by ranking instead of breaking few drivers down. In the Xfinity (and Truck Series) we are usually focused on loading up the top tier drivers and then filling your last 1-2 spots with what salaries work for you. There is only one Start and Park driver I am aware of, and that is Chad Finchum. He is driving the 66 that Stephen Leicht usually drives, and Timmy Hill is in the 13 that Finchum usually drives. Both Hill and Leicht are in play because of this.

  1. Preston Pardus ($4,900)
  2. Stephen Leicht ($4,600)
  3. Josh Bilicki ($6,300)
  4. Brandon Brown ($7,400)
  5. Timmy Hill ($7,100)
  6. Jade Buford ($6,900)

NASCAR DFS Place Differential Play

A.J. Allmendinger ($11,500)

Starting Position: 30th

I have no doubt that Allmendinger will be the highest scoring driver in this race and I don’t see a reason to fade him. He will most likely be 70% owned but could come away with 70+ points on Saturday and nobody else will be close to him if he hits that. You will need those points to take a GPP down.

POCONO 350

Today we see the 2nd part of the cup series doubleheader, Pocono 350. Yesterday was a bit of a surprise seeing Almirola show such dominance after not seeing that out of him all season. With today’s starting grid set by an inversion of yesterday’s results there will be plenty of strong cars starting mid pack that offer upside. Here is a breakdown of the DraftKings slate!

TOP TIER

Joey Logano $9,400. Joey starts 36th and will certainly use a strategy play to get up front. Paul Wolfe is a master of strategy play so I like Logano to easily hit value.

Denny Hamlin $10,200. Hamlin had possibly the fastest car at the end of the race yesterday. 19th place starting spot off the inversion allows quite a bit of upside too.

Chase Elliott $10,400. Chase should parlay his 25th starting spot into a top 5-10. He didn’t show race winning speed but he could certainly get into position to hit value.

Also consider: Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski

MID TIER

Tyler Reddick $7,600. Reddick was relegated to a poor finish yesterday after contact with Erik Jones. As a result, he will roll off 30th today and should see plenty of place differential points.

Erik Jones $7,400. Jones killed 75% of everyone’s lines yesterday. Despite that, I am going right back to the well. There is no downside for place differential and he could do what Bell did yesterday for almost 2/3 of the price. Jones is a cash game lock.

Aric Almirola $7,200. Almirola will be very highly owned after yesterday’s performance. After missing the boat yesterday, I will certainly have him in play with the speed I saw out of that car yesterday.

Also consider: Kurt Busch, Matt DiBenedetto, Alex Bowman

PUNT TIER

Most of these sub $7k punts are starting way too high so for cash look to keep it more balanced and keep almirola your cheapest driver.

Daniel Suarez $6,800

John Hunter Nemechek $6,100

Also consider: Chris Buescher, Ryan Newman

Good luck today. Its a short race so there will be lot of strategy as we saw yesterday. Follow on Twitter @timowatts and @windailysports and visit us in Discord for lineup and strategy advice. Check out more NASCAR content over at WinDailySports.com!

DRAFTKINGS NASCAR: POCONO ORGANICS 325

Pocono, PA is going to be an especially busy place this weekend as the Cup series holds a back to back double header with some truck and xfinity action mixed in. As is the case with all of the random draw starting spots, the place differential value will be a bit tougher to find and in some cases, criminally over priced. Ideally the drivers will use the same car for both races so we should glean some solid info off of Saturday’s race POCONO ORGANICS 325 to help us with Sunday’s race. Here is the breakdown for DraftKings DFS.

TOP TIER | DraftKings

Kyle Busch $9,300. I do not recall the last time that there 7 drivers priced above Kyle Busch. This is a steal of a value for him at Pocono. Busch holds the highest driver rating here over the last 4 races and this is a place I envision seeing him getting his 1st win of the season. Once Busch finds that win, expect to see multiple more the rest of the year. Play Kyle Busch with confidence in both cash and gpp.

Ryan Blaney $9,000. Another stalwart at a price I can not pass up. Blaney will be in a lot of my lines and is a strong contender to get the win. His track record mixed with his recent success at $9k is a gift and I am buying in.

Denny Hamlin $8,800. Ok Draftkings has gotten ridiculous with their pricing. Bell at $11k+ and the active driver with the most wins here is sub $9k. Pocono used to be Hamlin’s playground until they repaved the track. Since then it has started to wear some again and Hamlin is back to showing he can dominate there.

Clint Bowyer $9,500. Now here is my place differential driver. He has shown well with strong finishes here in the last couple of years. Bowyer could flirt with double digit PD and return the value quite well.

Also consider: Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano

MID TIER | DraftKings

William Byron $8,400. I like Byron quite a bit this weekend. He had fantastic runs in both races last year and has shown some speed this year. He will be in the majority of my lines.

Matt DiBenedetto $7,600. 21st starting spot for MattyD is enough to get him in some of my lines. He has top 10 potential again opening the door for double digit place differential.

Erik Jones $7,100. Eventually Draftkings will have to show Jones some respect with his salary, right? Until they do he will be a part of my lines most weeks. Jones is another place differential play rolling off 19th with solid top 10 potential.

Also consider: Tyler Reddick, Ty Dillon, Matt Kenseth

PUNT TIER | DraftKings

Chris Buescher $6,500

Austin Dillon $6,200

Michael McDowell $5,500

Corey Lajoie $5,600

*****If you are playing cash on DraftKings there is absolutely no need to build a lineup that contains anyone below $7k. Utilize a solid core from the mid tier and pick your favorite top tier drivers to fill your line. These salaries allow for some top heavy quality lines.*****

I personally look forward to a full weekend of NASCAR action and the windfall of some WINDAILY takedowns. Good luck DFS Racers. FANDUEL: Dixie Vodka 400

tRock

FANDUEL: Dixie Vodka 400

In this article, we will dive into the Dixie Vodka 400 for all your FanDuel lineups!

TOP TIER

Martin Truex Jr $13,300 Truex has led the most laps here over the last 3 races and very well could have visited victory lane for a 2nd time last season if not for an ill-timed pit and wrong tire incident. He is riding momentum into this weekend and could add plenty of laps led to his total.

Joey Logano $13,000 Logano has a top 3 rating here over the last 3 races along with MTJ. The other is Kyle Larson so he is a defacto top 2 rating of active drivers. He is certainly in play.

Chase Elliott $12,000 While the numbers do not necessarily jive with his top tier status, Elliott has shown a propensity to do very well at high tire wear tracks. Add in the heat of June in South Florida at a track that we generally do not see until November and it will fit right into Elliott’s wheelhouse.

Denny Hamlin $12,200 Sitting on the pole this week, Hamlin could lead quite a few laps and he has the potential to keep the lead here. Gibbs has certainly not impressed outside of the 19 but this could be the week that the entire team breaksthrough.

ALSO CONSIDER: Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Alex Bowman, Jimmie Johnson

MID TIER

Clint Bowyer $9,000 Starting 12th, Bowyer offers some place differential upside as well as a top 5 active driver rating over the last 3 years.

Austin Dillon $8,200 Dillon starts 16th with a top 10 driver rating.

Aric Almirola* $8500 Place differential plus he should end up on the lead lap and battling around the top 10-12.

Tyler Reddick* $8300 The winner here the last 2 years in the Xfinity series has shown an ability to run near the front at many types of tracks in the cup series.

Also consider: Cole Custer, Ryan Newman, Christopher Bell, Erik Jones

PUNT TIER

Ryan Preece $5,000

Michael McDowell $5,000

Ty Dillon $4,500

Good luck DFS racers and see you at the top of the leader boards.

We move to Miami this week for the Dixie Vodka 400 at HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY This is another 1.5 mile track that has been racing since 1995. Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch are the only active, multiple winners of this event with two each, but several drivers have tasted victory. Roush-Fenway Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing lead all owners with 7 wins each, and Ford leads manufactures with 8 wins as Toyota and Chevrolet each have 5.

Once again we had no qualifying and the starting positions were drawn using owner’s points. I am really getting tired of this format as you can’t get a sense of a driver’s speed with out seeing them on the track. I still think caution is the best plan of attack until we get back to normal, but if your using max lineups, this is not as important.

Starting Grid Rules

Denny Hamlin is on the pole this week with Joey Logano also in the front row. The Starting Grid is again littered with dominators due to the qualifying rules. This made it hard to find value this week and you must have the 2 top dominators in your lineup to make real money.

Starting Grid for the Dixie Vodka 400

My top DFS plays at each price tier this week are listed below. I am currently at 20 lineups, but I most likely add a couple as the day goes along using the same core.

NASCAR DFS High-Priced | DraftKings

  1. Denny Hamlin $10,400
  2. Chase Elliott $11.000
  3. Joey Logano $10,700

NASCAR DFS Mid-Tier | DraftKings

  1. Christopher Bell $9,300
  2. William Byron $7,800
  3. Matt DiBenedetto $8,000

NASCAR DFS Value Plays | DraftKings

  1. Michael McDowell $5,200
  2. Ty Dillon $6,700
  3. Cole Custer $6,000

Here is my Driver Usage for Sunday’s Dixie Vodka 400

My Driver Usage for the Dixie Vodka 400

I also like 4 plays to win the race. I have Denny Hamlin slightly over Chase Elliott for the WIN, and I am using 2 other value plays.

I am on more plays to finish in the Top 3, Top 10 and three of the driver match ups.

DraftKings NASCAR XFINITY: Contender Boats 250

In this article, we will be diving into the DraftKings side of the NASCAR XFINITY: Contender Boats 250!

TOP TIER

Justin Allgaier $10,900 This is a place differential dream. Look for JA to finish solidly in the top 10.

Noah Gragson $9,800 Expect the strong cars of Saturday’s race to show up strong for the back half of the doubleheader. Noah was the dominant car for the race and should be so again.

Chase Briscoe $11,400 Chase may get to the lead first and once there, it may be hard to take it away. His price is high and the fade paid off on Sat but Sun may see him grab the lead and put on a show.

Also consider: AJ Allmendinger( place differential with an exorbitant salary), Ausrin Cindric, Harrison Burton, Daniel Hemric

MID TIER

Anthony Alfredo $7,900

Ryan Sieg* $7,300

Tommy Joe Martins $8,200

Bayley Curry $7,000

PUNT TIER

Riley Herbst* $6,800

Joe Graf Jr $6,300

Colin Garrett $5,300

Colby Howard $5,600

With the lineup format, none of the punts will accrue many points so if you choose to roster this deep then expect a loss of 5-10 differential points and a 15-25th finish minus Herbst who has the equipment to finish top 10.

Good luck and bet light as this race’s format is not conducive to DFS plays.

THE SLATE

The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series will be in Miami, Florida today at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Baptist Health 200. The green flag is set to drop at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET.

This race is 201-miles, or 134 laps on this 1.5-mile oval.

THE PICKS

FRONTRUNNERS | DraftKings

Chase Elliott – With Kyle Busch moving to the back and having to serve a pass-through penalty, the pathway for Chase to dominate the early part of this race has been cleared. Start your line-up with Elliott.

Kyle Busch – Busch has the ability to get back to the front (and capture fastest laps points on the way) but it will be a much tougher race. Given the penalties for Busch, look towards the additional options below to pair with Chase Elliott.

Additional options: Austin Hill, Johnny Sauter, Brett Moffitt

CAPTURE THE UPSIDE | DraftKings

Spencer Boyd – Given Tanner Gray’s penalty and being moved to the back, Boyd becomes more attractive as a driver that provides place differential upside and salary relief.

Additional options: Matt Crafton, Ross Chastain, Stewart Friesen, Todd Gilliland, Austin Wayne Self, Ty Majeski, Bryant Barnhill, Tate Fogleman

FINDING VALUE | DraftKings

Sheldon Creed – Creed starts 8th, offers minimal place differential upside, and is priced accordingly.

Additional options: Grant Enfinger, Christian Eckes, Ben Rhodes, Zane Smith

The Finding Value drivers have limited upside starting inside the top-ten and having limited dominator potential running against Busch and Elliott. Play at most two from this group and look towards the Frontrunners and Capture the Upside to complete your lineup.

STARTING TOO HIGH | DraftKings

Cory Roper, Codie Rohrbaugh, TJ Bell, and Tyler Ankrum offer minimal upside given their starting position.

NON-LEAD LAPPERS | DraftKings

Roster drivers that will finish on the lead lap and avoid rostering Ray Ciccarelli, Angela Ruch, Jennifer Cobb, Timothy Viens, Dawson Cram, Norm Benning, and Clay Greenfield.
