Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday’s Xfinity series race from Dover International Speedway. This is a two race weekend for the Xfinity series, with the first race on Saturday afternoon, followed up on Sunday with race #2. Dover is a tough track, especially for the smaller teams because it can cause mechanical issues that these teams don’t have the resources to deal with.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Austin Cindric ($11,300)

Starting Position: 1st

I don’t love playing Cindric at this price and starting on the pole, but it is hard to fade a driver this white hot. Last season at Dover, Cindric finished 3rd and led 29 laps for 57.75 DKFP, that won’t cut it this weekend for us to make value. He is a safe cash game play in my opinion because he should lead a good amount of laps. I don’t love him for tournaments, but if you don’t want to fade, I get it.

Chase Briscoe ($10,600)

Starting Position: 10th

Chase Briscoe is my favorite driver on the slate for Saturday. He has the place differential upside Cindric doesn’t have and he can easily win this race. Briscoe will run up front like he typically he does, and with PD upside and dominator potential and $700 savings, this makes the top play on the day for me

Justin Haley ($9,900)

Starting Position: 22nd

Haley is right up there with Briscoe for top plays on the slate based on place differential. Last season was Haley’s first time running laps in an Xfinity car at Dover and he finished 17th and 4th after starting in 11th in both races. Haley is a much improved driver this season and I will most likely be pairing him with Briscoe in tournaments where I fade Cindric.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($11,000), Noah Gragson ($10,100)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Jeb Burton ($9,200)

Starting Position: 27th

Normally with how poor Burton and the #8 team has been performing I would be in full fade mode at this price, but when you factor in track history and place differential I think he gets to 5x value Saturday. Burton has two Xfinity Series races at Dover with a 12th and 13th place finish.

Anthony Alfredo ($8,700)

Starting Position: 26th

Alfredo is back in the #21 RCR Chevy on Saturday and has top 5 potential. I think Alfredo could even push Briscoe as the top overall DK points leader on Saturday. Alfredo has never raced in an Xfinity car at Dover but at similar track he has four top 10’s and and a top 5.

Timmy Hill ($7,600)

Starting Position: 36th

Timmy Hill most likely be extremely under owned this week because of his price. Hill doesn’t have great track history, but with three straight finishes of 27th or better Hill does offer upside. I don’t know that he gets to the 5X value we look for, but he is a very intriguing tournament play this week.

Other Options: Brett Moffitt ($8,900), Brandon Brown ($7,700)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

There is some decent value this week, but my favorite play in this price range might be Colby Howard ($7,400). In his last 7 races in the #15, Howard has one finish lower than 23rd when he wrecked at Kentucky, but bounced back to take the back up car to a 21st place finish the next night.

  1. Colby Howard ($7,400 – P33)
  2. David Starr ($5,300 – P29)
  3. Jeffrey Earnhardt ($5,500 – P30)
  4. Stefan Parsons ($7,200 – P32)
  5. Korbin Forrister ($5600 – P31)
  6. Josh Willims ($6,700 – P18)

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Friday night’s Gander Truck Series race from Dover International Speedway. Dover is a 1 mile track that will give 200 laps of Truck Series racing Friday. We finally have a race that gives us some decent dominator points, so we will want to take advantage of that on Friday night.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Matt Crafton ($10,300)

Starting Position: 4th

Crafton is one of the best, and most experienced, drivers when it comes to Dover and he should fair well here Friday. Since 2016, Matt Crafton has finished in the top 10 in DK points in each race here at Dover. In his last 5 races here, Crafton has four top 5 finishes, including the win in 2016.

Brett Moffitt ($10,000)

Starting Position: 1st

Moffitt is on the pole for Friday’s race and should lead a bulk of the laps on Friday night. Last year Moffitt led 81 laps, but finished second after starting on the pole. Moffitt would still end up scoring over 82 DKFP in that race and I think he does something very similar Friday night

Other Options: Johnny Sauter ($10,600), Christian Eckes ($9,700)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Chandler Smith ($9,300)

Starting Position: 23rd

Chandler Smith will be once again hoping into the #51 KBM Toyota truck on Friday night for his first Dover race. Even though Smith hasn’t raced here, he has had success on similar tracks with two top 5 fishes in 3 races on 1 mile tracks. Whoever races the #51 is going to have good equipment and be able to challenge for the win, and I expect Smith to do that on Friday.

There are 4 drivers that really stand out to me in the mid tier just below Smith. Both Derek Kraus ($8,000 – P16) and Todd Gilliland ($8,900 – P17) offer place differential upside as I expect both to push for a top 10 finish here. Grant Enfinger ($8,400 ) and Ben Rhodes ($8,700) don’t offer the same place differential upside starting inside the top 10, but they can lead laps here and have win potential. Both Enfinger and Rhodes finished in the top 6 last year here, and were both in the top 5 in DraftKings points

Other Options: Sheldon Creed ($9,100), Zane Smith ($8,500)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

With the way the starting positions turned out this week there is not a ton of value for this race, so we have to hope the little amount we have works out for us.

  1. Sam Mayer – $5,600 – P26
  2. Bayley Currey – $6,900 – P28
  3. Ty Majeski – $7,500 – P21
  4. Carson Hocevar – $5,100 – P20
  5. Raphael Lessard – $7,300 – P5
  6. Timmy Hill – $6,400 – P30

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday evening’s Cup Series race from the Daytona Road Course. This is the final race of the weekend at this course, the first time NASCAR has ever raced here. We have another short race Sunday with only 65 laps for this race.

This is the first race that the majority of these drivers have ever driven in on this course. Jimmie Johnson ($8,100) is one of the those drivers who have run a race here. Johnson has raced at the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona so he does have some knowledge of this track that will definitely help him on Sunday.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Ryan Blaney ($11,000)

Starting Position: 24th

Blaney is the most expensive driver on this slate, but he is worthy of this salary this week. Blaney offers us everything we are looking for on Sunday as far place differential upside and has the chance to win. In his last 6 road course races Blaney has a win, three top 5’s, and four top 10’s.

Chase Elliott ($10,300)

Starting Position: 7th

Saying Chase Elliott has been dominating at road courses may be the understatement of the year. In the last 6 road course races the Cup Series has run, Elliott has taken the checkered flag first in half of them. Outside of the wreck at Sonoma last year, Elliott has finished no worse than 6th in any race and has won the last 2 road course races.

Martin Truex Jr. ($10,100)

Starting Position: 3rd

Truex might garner low ownership even as one of the best road courses racers in the field on Sunday. Starting from the 3rd position gives him little PD upside, but he does have the potential to lead a majority of the laps in this race.

Other Options: Brad Keselowski ($10,600)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Clinty Bowyer ($8,800)

Starting Position: 12th

Bowyer is priced up this week, but he has been pretty good at road course so I am willing to pay the price. In the Series’ last 6 rc races, but Bowyer has not finished lower than 20th, and has five finishes of 11th or better, including three top 5’s.

Alex Bowman ($8,200)

Starting Position: 27th

Bowman is another of the better upside plays starting 27th. In his last 6 race at road courses, Bowman has not finished lower than 14th. Bowman also has a 4th (2018) and a 2nd place finish (2019) at the Charlotte roval, which is the most comparable course for this weekend.

Other Options: Erik Jones ($9,000), William Byron ($8,600), Matt DiBenedetto ($7,800)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

We got news on Saturday that Austin Dillon has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be racing this weekend. Dillon will be replaced by Kaz Grala ($6,000) in the #3 RCR Chevy on Sunday. Grala is a very capable replacement for a road course race. Grala has three top 10’s and two top 5’s in the Xfinity series on road courses and has an average finish of 11.7 in 6 races.

  1. Michael McDowell – $7,000 P30
  2. Ricky Stenhouse – $6,500 P25
  3. Kaz Grala – $6,000 P10
  4. Daniel Suarez – $6,900 P31
  5. John Hunter Nemechek – $6,400 P28
  6. Chris Buescher – $6,600 P21
  7. Ryan Newman – $6,300 P14

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday afternoons Sunoco 159 from the Daytona Road Course. This is the first time the NASCAR Truck Series has been to this course, and only the second-ever race here (Saturday’s Xfinity Series). This is another low dominator point race with only 44 laps, so we are again looking for place differential plays and finishing position.

This race has a plethora of invaders who are road course experts with the majority of them priced up at the top. Like we saw on Saturday we can expect a lot of cautions and spin-outs leading to damaged trucks. After how I saw Saturday’s race play out I am recommending playing only GPP contests and also playing very light.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Like we had on Saturday, we have some drivers at the top price tier that are complete unknowns to the majority of casual race fans. Three of these drivers are priced right at the top and are all top plays on this slate. They will all be high owned because of where they start, but they as close to must play as possible. I would rank them, based on upside and road course expertise as follows:

  1. Alex Tagliani – $10,800 – P21 – Tagliani is a road course expert and is driving the KBM #51, the truck Kyle drives when he races in the series
  2. Mike Skeen – $10,200 – P38
  3. Kris Wright – $10,500 – P26

Parker Kligerman ($9,600)

Starting Position: 16th

Kligerman is another road course expert who is just below the three drivers mentioned above. Sunday’s field of drivers is not deep with great road course drivers so Kligerman is definitely someone we can see move up into the top 5.

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Stewart Friesen ($8,800)

Starting Position: 22nd

Friesen hasn’t had the best luck of late, but he is an experienced driver who has had some decent luck on road courses. He has two top 10 finishes at the Canadian Tire road course, so he can definitely get around at these tracks. Friesen has place differential upside as well starting 22nd.

Raphael Lessard ($7,700)

Starting position: 10th

Lessard doesn’t have a ton of experience as a 19 year old rookie in the Truck Series. He does own a top 10 finish at the Canadian Tire Road Course though, so he has potential to finish well here. Lessard starts 10th, so upside is limited, but his price isn’t too high where he cant make value.

Other Options: Brett Moffitt ($9,300), Todd Gilliland ($8,200)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Bryan Collyer – $5,300 – P34
  2. Spencer Davis – $6,900 – P31
  3. Mark Smith – $4,800 – P35
  4. Roger Reuse – $5,000 – P37
  5. Bobby Kennedy $4,900 – P33
  6. Scott Lagasse Jr. – $6,400 – P30

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoon’s Xfinity Series race from the Daytona Road Course. This is the first ever NASCAR race to be run on this track. Drivers will have zero track time to prepare and learn this race track. I know some drivers were using the iRacing set up to practice, so we will see if that was helpful come Saturday

One thing you won’t see this week is Austin Cindric ($11,000) in my article for the first time on a road course. I know he is the best driver right now in the series, and on road courses, but starting on the pole gives us little upside. I would rather pay down a little or go up the $400 to Allmendinger. If you want to play Cindric, I won’t talk you out of it, but I just think there are better ways to spend your salary this week.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

AJ Allmendinger ($11,400)

Starting Position: 11th

Allmendinger is finally starting in a spot where he won’t be extreme chalk thanks to NASCAR’s new qualifying formula, replacing the random draw. As the highest price driver with less upside then usual, we should get AJ at much less ownership as people will flock to the drivers further back in the field. Allmendinger has four top 5 finishes in his last 5 road course races.

Earl Bamber ($9,900)

Starting Position: 29th

Earl who? Earl Bamber is one of the most experienced drivers to never sit in a NASCAR car until Saturday. Bamber has won pretty much every where he has raced and is the defending IMSA GT champion. Not only is he the defending IMSA champion, he has won the 24 hour of Le Mans twice in his career. Bamber has even gone as far as replacing the pedals in his RCR Chevy with the Porsche pedals he is used to using in his IMSA car. I really like Bamber today, and even though he might be chalky, he could easily come in as the top overall driver on the slate.

Chase Briscoe ($9,600)

Starting Position: 2nd

Briscoe has been a solid play at road courses with an average finish of 4.85 over his last 7 races including 2 wins (2018 Charlotte Roval, 2020 Indy RC). With Briscoe starting on the front row with Cindric and could out run him and lead a good portion of the early part of the race. I prefer Briscoe over Cindric for the savings since there are a plethora of drivers over $9K I want to roster this weekend.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($10,600) , Daniel Hemric ($10,200), Noah Gragson ($9,700)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Brandon Gdovic ($9,400)

Starting Position: 37th

Gdovic is another driver that you may not be familiar with, but he did run on the Indy road course earlier this season. In that race, Gdovic started 38th, but came home 12th and earned 58 DraftKing points. If we can get a similar outcome from Gdovic, he will more than make 5x value.

Jeremy Clements ($8,500)

Starting Position: 18th

Clements was having a great day last week at Road America until a late race wreck took him out. We get good upside again this week from Clements with him starting 18th. He has a good history on road course, Clements came into last week with four straight finishes of 13th or better.

Jade Buford ($7,500)

Starting Position: 32nd

Here is the third driver you might now recognize ( I told you in the discord there were a bunch). Buford has raced twice on road courses this season and finished inside the top 20 in both races (14th and 18th). In those two races Buford started much further up in the field, so he offers up more upside on Saturday then he has in the previous races.

Other Options: Alex Labbe ($8,300), Myatt Snider ($8,100), Justin Haley ($9,200)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Riley Herbst – $7,100 – P15
  2. Scott Heckert – $7,200 – P30
  3. Josh Bilicki – $6,900 – P18
  4. Stephen Leicht – $4,700 – P21
  5. Jesse Little – $5,300 – P24
  6. Jeffrey Earnhardt – $5,600 – P28
  7. Kyle Weatherman – $5,900 – P26

Welcome to NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday’s Cup Series from Michigan. This article will have some similar plays from the Saturday race, obviously, but with how everything broke down we have some different plays based on place differential.

Sunday’s lineup was determined how Saturday’s race finished. NASCAR set the top 20 starting position by inverting the finish, so Kevin Harvick will start 20th because he won, Keselowski starts 19th and so on. After the inversion the rest of the field is determined by how the field finished from 21st-39th.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Copy, paste the opening paragraph from Saturday’s article here. Both Kevin Harvick ($11,500) and Denny Hamlin ($11,100) are the top plays in this race Sunday. Harvick has incredible PD upside, especially after the way he dominated Saturday’s race leading 92 of 156 laps. Hamlin ran up front with Harvick for the majority of the race, but ended up 6th and will start 15th on Sunday. Hamlin also has great place differential upside as well and should easily pay off his salary.

As I was trying to breakdown the remainder of the top tier I came to realize they were ALL in play. It all comes down to salary when looking at any driver priced above $9.5K on Sunday. I will be building multiple lineups like usual and will be pairing 1-2 of each of the remaining drivers with either Harvick or Hamlin.

Saturday’s race had 160 laps (race went into overtime) and of the 160 laps, all but 4 (Kyle Busch) was led by drivers in this tier. We can expect a similar outcome on Sunday, but it may take 10-15 laps before one of these drivers gets upfront.

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Kyle Busch ($9,400)

Starting Position: 16th

Busch was a risky play on Saturday but paid of his salary with 44 DKFP. After a good performance we get Busch at $100 saving on Sunday and I plan on going back to the well. Busch led 4 laps and looked fast throughout the entire race and he will be back in this same car on Sunday. I am taking Kyle as my dark horse winner on Sunday.

Alex Bowman ($8,400)

Starting Position : 21st

Bowman was a full fade on Saturday and that turned out to be the smart move, but things are different for Sunday. While he didn’t have a great day on Saturday, he now has upside because of his starting position. Before his 21st finish on Saturday, Bowman had back to back top 10 finishes at Michigan.

Erik Jones ($8,000)

Starting Position: 10th

Jones will probably be a fade for most people on Sunday because of his starting position, but in GPP’s this makes him one of my favorite plays. On Saturday, Jones should speed and was towards the front most of the day. All of the Gibbs drivers will be starting close together in the field with Jones being the highest start so he could have the first chance to get to the front if they push him when the green flag flies.

Other Options: Kurt Busch ($8,800 – P11)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

There is a good amount of value after the way Saturday’s race finished up. Both Austin and Ty Dillon are among the best value, as is Ryan Newman and John Hunter Nemechek. Unfortunately Austin, Newman, and Nemechek will be among the drivers going to the rear because they will presumably be in back up cars.

  1. Austin Dillon ($6,500 – P31)
  2. John Hunter Nemechek ($6,400 – P36)
  3. Michael McDowell ($6,200 – P29)
  4. Ryan Newman ($7,000 – P28)
  5. Ty Dillon ($5,700 – P23)
  6. Ricky Stenhouse ($7,300 – P32)
  7. Cole Custer ($7,500 – P34)
  8. Corey Lajoie ($5,100 – P22)

While our buddy Matt Vecchio has your Dominators covered for this double header weekend at Michigan, let’s take a look at the back of the pack and the guys who can make or break your lineup. We’ll be looking at the last four races at Michigan and going off of our average system. So let’s take a look at: DFS value plays for Michigan. *All prices are for DraftKings.

Bubba Wallace ($6500.00 / starting 24th)

In the last 4 races at Michigan Bubba Wallace hasn’t done a whole lot, he only has one top 20 in the past 4 races here and an average finish of 24.3 and brought in 21.3 DK points. Maybe Bubba makes up some positions by keeping the fenders on it and avoiding the wrecks, but I’ll be staying away from the 43 this week.

Chris Buescher ($6300.00 / starting 22nd)

Chris Buescher is worth a look, while he hasn’t set the world on fire at Michigan he does have 1 top 15, and 3 top 20’s. Buescher has an average finish of 18.5 and brought in 32 DK points. If Buescher keeps his Roush Fenway Ford out of trouble he has a chance at some decent upside today.

Ryan Newman ($6200.00 / starting 13th)

Ryan “The Rocketman Newman” has an average finish of 14.3 and has driven to 1 top 10, 3 top 15’s, and 3 top 20’s in the last 4 races. He’s brought in 30.3 DK points for his troubles. If Newman can catch a couple breaks he could find himself comfortably in the top 10. With a tremendous upside and a cheap price tag to boot, why wouldn’t you have some exposure to Rocket today?

Michael McDowell ($6100.00 / starting 21st)

Nothing to see here, keep moving. Don’t do it.

Daniel Suarez ($6000.00 / starting 37th)

Hear me out, Daniel Suarez has some upside and a lot of it. I know what you’re thinking, I haven’t heard much about him all season. You’re exactly right, but at Michigan Suarez for some reason or another does well here. I know he isn’t in a SHR car anymore but in his last 4 races at Michigan Suarez has found himself in the top 5 twice, top 10 twice, 3 top 15’s and 3 top 20’s. He also brings in an average 36.75 DK points from his last 4 races this season. Not too bad for $6K..

Ryan Preece ($5,800 / starting 35th)

Ryan Preece, Mr. I may make or break your lineup. Ryan has started from the back before and found himself in the top 15, he’s also found himself nearly dead last. Keep in mind we only have his 2 starts in our calculator, not like everyone else’s 4. Mr. Preece 1 top 10, top 15, and top 20 which was good enough for 40 DK points. This is one of those risk/reward moments, you know like in a movie when the star has a gold chest in front of him and opens it to find a venomous viper moments before it strikes him and the screen goes black..

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoons Cup Series from Michigan International Speedway. We have 156 laps of racing on Saturday evening meaning we only have 117 dominator points available for this race. Like we saw with the Truck Series race Friday night there is some drafting needed, especially on restarts, to make passes. We also saw plenty of blocking, like the block Grant Enfinger tried to throw on Austin Hill to keep him from passing for the lead in Overtime, but he just ended up wrecking himself, Hill, and John Hunter Nemechek.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Like with practically every week since NASCAR returned to the track, both Kevin Harvick ($11,000) and Denny Hamlin (10,400) are both the top plays in this tier. It really comes down to the $600 price difference if you are choosing one over the other. Harvick starts 2nd, and Hamlin goes off in the 3rd position.

Martin Truex Jr. ($10,800)

Starting Position: 12th

Martin Truex comes off of two straight 3rd place finishes, and four top 10 finishes in his last 5 races. In his last 6 races at Michigan, Truex Jr. has four finishes of 6th place or better and has also led 187 laps during that 6 race run.

Brad Keselowski ($10,100)

Starting Position: 5th

Keselowski is coming off a dominating performance last in New Hampshire and he comes to one his best track he’s never won at. Dating back to 2014, Keselowski has done everything but win. In twelve races since 2014, Brad has finished outside the top 10 only 3 times, and has led 203 laps while averaging a 7.75 finish.

Other Options: Christopher Bell ($9,900 – P29)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Erik Jones ($8,800)

Starting Position: 23rd

Erik Jones was informed he would not be returning to the #20 Toyota for the 2021 season and is now racing the rest of this season for a job next year. Jones does not have a ton of success here at Michigan, but nothing motivates someone then fighting for their livelihood. Jones will find a ride for next season, but if he wants a good ride, he will need to show what he has.

Matt DiBenedetto ($8,400)

Starting Position: 15th

This play is just a pure gut play for me. DiBenedetto has been hanging around the top 10 every week it seems and he is coming off 6th place finish last at New Hampshire. I consider Matt DiBenedetto a GPP ONLY play because he does not give you dominator points because he generally isn’t running fastest laps and does not lead laps so he is a pure place differential play.

Both Kyle Busch ($9,500) and Chase Elliott($9,300) are in the mid-tier this week and starting inside the top 10. After what happened with Kyle last week, it is hard to feel confident rostering him, and the same goes for Elliott. I think both will come in severely low owned and could actually be great GPP upside plays.

Other Options: Aric Almirola ($9,100 – P4), Kurt Busch ($8,000 – P10)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Ty Dillon ($5,700 – P34)
  2. Daniel Suarez ($6,000 – P37)
  3. Corey Lajoie ($5,600 – P36)
  4. Austin Dillon ($7,500 – P18)
  5. Tyler Reddick ($7,200 – P14)
  6. John Hunter Nemechek ($7,000 – P31)
  7. Ryan Preece ($5,800 – P35)
  8. Ricky Stenhouse ($6,900 – P32)

Ty Dillon, Suarez, and Lajoie are the best plays from the bottom, if for no other reason then they are the best place differential plays. Also, Ty Dillon has been very successful at superspeedways in his career and at Michigan. Dillon has raced here 8 times and if you take out his 38th place finish in 2018, he has an average finish of 19th in the other 7 races. For his low price, he has exceptional upside.

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoon’s Xfinity series race from Road America in Kettle Moraine, Wisconsin is one of the fastest road racing tracks in America.

If you have been playing Xfinity Series NASCAR DFS over the last few years you know that Austin Cindric ($11,000) and AJ Allmendinger ($12,000) are road course dominators and we will have a lot of interest in both of these drivers on Saturday. We saw and Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course that Cindric and AJ can be beat when Chase Briscoe ($10,300) took the win.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

I usually will break down my favorites in this section but they are all in play for me. I will be rostering combinations of all the drivers in this top tier (>$9.5K). Obviously Cindric and Allmendinger are the best of the best and they have been the most dominant at road courses of the years. Justin Allgaier ($10,600) has great PD upside starting from P12 and has had success at road course of late as well. In his last 5 road course races he has only finished outside the top 10 once (15th.

Dominator rankings:

  1. AJ Allmendinger (#1 because of PD upside)
  2. Austin Cindric
  3. Justin Allgaier
  4. Chase Briscoe
  5. Daniel Hemric
  6. Noah Gragson

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Andy Lally ($9,100)

Starting Position: 23rd

Andy who you ask? Andy Lally is another road course ringer. I really like this play for two reasons. First, Lally carries a very high price tag and since he isn’t a recognizable name, he might go very low owned. Secondly, Lally starts 23rd and offers up some great place differential upside for a car I believe can come away with a top 10 finish.

Jeremy Clements ($8,600)

Starting Position: 18th

Clements won this race in 2017, so he knows how to get around here. In his last 5 road course races Clements has finished no worse than 13th, and has finished just outside the top 10 three times coming home 11th.

Kaz Grala ($8,200)

Starting Position: 6th

Grala is another driver who may be low owned based on his starting position and price. He has a great history at road courses though, in limited action. Grala finished 5th in this same race last season, and before that he finished 8th in the 2018 Charlotte Roval. Based on his price, a top 10 finish will give us the value we need from Grala.

Other Options: Alex Labbe ($8,800 P21), Myatt Snider ($8,000 P29)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

Preston Pardus ($7,500) … you’re welcome.

Pardus is easily a top 5 play on this entire slate. He starts 37th and is a car that can come home inside the top 15. He will be chalky, but it will be hard to have a full fade and end up with a takedown.

Value Tier Rankings:

  1. Preston Pardus ($7,500 – P37)
  2. Tommy Joe Martins ($6000 – P36)
  3. Josh Bilicki ($6,500 – P30)
  4. Jade Buford ($6,300 – P19)
  5. Joe Graf Jr. ($5,100 – P26)
  6. Stephen Leicht ($4,600 – P15)
  7. Jesse Little ($4,700 – P14)
  8. Scott Heckert ($7,100 – P27)

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Friday night’s Henry Ford Health System 200 at Michigan International Speedway. After a one-race weekend last week at New Hampshire, we are back with four races this weekend split between Michigan (Trucks/2 Cup races) and Road America (Xfinity)

Friday’s race is a short 100 lap race which means there are only 75 dominator points available. Over the last 2 years in this race we saw 4 drivers in 2019 and 5 in 2018 lead at least 10 laps. I want to focus on getting dominators into my lineups to pick up as many of the limited dominator points available in this race. At Michigan we will see drafting, similar that we see at Super-speedway’s (Daytona and Talladega).

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

There are two drivers that I believe will be highly owned, and if you play cash they should be locks for you. John Hunter Nemechek ($11,100) starts 34th and Parker Kligerman ($10,800) starts 35th. Both of these drivers have two races in the Truck Series this season, and both been successful, with Kligerman having more consistent success. Kligerman has finished top 20 in both of his races, and Nemechek has a 6th and a 25th place finish.

Brett Moffitt ($9,700)

Starting Position: 2nd

Brett Moffitt has run three races at Michigan and has two wins and a fourth-place finish. In his three races, Moffitt has only led 15 laps, so he is more of a GPP play, which is why he is on this list. There is risk with this play because he does start so high up in the field. I think Moffitt could push for the win here again and he will be in my core for tournaments.

Austin Hill ($10,100)

Starting Position: 5th

Austin Hill won this race last season and led 26 laps. At similar tracks this year Hill has an average finish of 7.9, while leading 175 laps with 7 top 10’s, 4 top 5’s and a win in 8 race. Hill is the championship favorite this season and will be one of the dominant drivers in this race Friday I believe.

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Stewart Friesen ($9,100)

Starting Position: 21st

Friesen has the next best place differential play after Nemechek and Kligerman. In three races for Friesen here he has two top 10’s and his only race outside the top 10 was a 13th place finish in 2017. Friesen has an average finish of 9.7 in his 3 races at Michigan

Todd Gilliland ($8,900)

Starting Position: 19th

Gilliland has five top 10’s this season on similar tracks in 8 races, and one top 5 as well. With Gilliland starting 19th he has PD upside we like in the mid range but the price is a little high and he will be tough to fit in with the two the top dominators. You can make it work, but you will only have $6.4K for the last 3 spots. I would rather pay down to Moffitt or Hill with one of the top priced guys and Gilliland or Friesen.

Jeb Burton ($8,300)

Starting Position: 15th

Burton is an interesting GPP play and I really think he has top 10 potential. Burton is a Niece Motorsports truck so he will be in some of the top equipment in the series. In 2 races here at Michigan, Burton has two top 10 finishes as well as leading 41 laps. With no true dominators in this race, Burton could end up with a top 5 and some dominator points.

Other Options: Grant Enfinger ($7,900), Sheldon Creed ($8,500), Zane Smith ($8,400)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

There are two drivers in this range I like above all others, they are Tyler Hill ($4,900) and Austin Wayne Self ($6,000). They both are running hot right now with Hill having one finish lower than 25th this season, he starts 30th on Friday. Self comes into Friday nights race with 4 straight top 20 finishes and starts 27th.

  1. Tyler Hill ($4,900 – P30)
  2. Austin Wayne Self ($6,000 P27)
  3. Ty Majeski ($6,700 – P18)
  4. Jennifer Jo Cobb ($4,800 P33)
  5. Trey Hutchens ($5,900 P39)
  6. Tate Fogelman ($6,200 P25)
  7. Spencer Boyd ($5,600 P31)
  8. Ryan Truex ($6,800 P20)
