Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Thursday night’s Truck Series race from Richmond Raceway. Richmond is a short track race which means we have a good amount of dominator points to be earned here. With 250 laps, we have 187.5 dominator points available on Thursday night and I will be trying to maximize those points. There are a few guys in the top tier that should lead a ton of laps on Thursday and we will want to find those plays to pair with our typical place differential plays to maximize our points. There is one driver I really like imparticular on Thursday for the win and dominator points, but you will need to read on to see who that is

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Sheldon Creed ($11,500)

Starting Position: 12th

Creed is the highest priced driver on the slate Thursday night and rightfully so. In this last 4 races in the Truck Series, Creed has won half of those races. Ironically both of those Creed wins came with him starting outside the top 10, which is where he starts on Thursday. Creed is the top cash play on the slate, but will be in my lineups as well (I play GPP only if you didn’t already know)

Brett Moffitt ($9,600)

Starting Position: 4th

Moffitt is the driver I was talking about in the open. I think Moffitt could lead 100 laps on Thursday night and finally get his first win of the season. Moffitt has finished in the top 10 in five straight races as well as leading laps in 4 of those 5 races. Moffitt is my pick to win this race Thursday night and will be the drive I have the most exposure too

Other Options (listed in order of preference): Chandler Smith ($9,800), David Ragan ($10,400), Christian Eckes ($10,100)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Zane Smith ($9,000)

Starting Position: 9th

Zane Smith is one of the hottest drivers in the Truck series right after Sheldon Creed. In the last seven truck races, Smith has two wins, and five top 10’s. Smith has also led at least 45 laps in three of those seven races as well.

Sam Mayer ($8,800)

Starting Position: 25th

Mayer is the top place differential play on the slate for me. He ran well, including leading 24 laps at Gateway earlier this season and he should run similarly again on Thursday. Mayer has only run two Truck Series races this season, but he has finished no worse than 15th in either race, including 4th at Gateway.

Tyler Ankrum ($7,800)

Starting Position: 11th

Ankrum is one of the drivers on the bubble for the last playoff spot in this series and will try to push for the win I believe. Ankrum needs points so they will be taking chances in this race which means he is not safe for those playing cash games, he is purely a GPP only. In his last 5 races, Ankrum has not finished worse than 12th and has three top 10’s in that stretch. I know his upside is limited but he will be lower owned then most drivers around him in price.

Other Options: Todd Gilliland ($9,200), Grant Enfinger ($8,300), Trevor Bayne ($7,900)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Carson Hocevar – $7,200 – P30
  2. Spencer Boyd – $5,400 – P26
  3. Tanner Gray – $7,400 – P19
  4. Jordan Anderson – $6,100 – P23
  5. Danny Bohn – $5,900 – P18

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday evenings Cup series race from the “track too tough to tame”, Darlington Raceway! This is the series’ third race here this season so we should be able to get a good gauge on how these teams will run here on Sunday. This race should be a fun one to watch not only for the great racing but for the awesome throwback and special paint schemes. My personal favorite is the one my favorite driver is running, Jimmie Johnson, and his 7x champions tribute mixing both The King and The Intimidator together!

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Denny Hamlin ($11,400)

Starting Position: 2nd

Hamlin is the highest priced driver, and for good reason. In 2 races at Darlington this season Hamlin has finished top 5 in both and including his win in the 2nd Darlington race this season. Hamlin also won at Homestead this year, the comparable track to Darlington. If all that wasn’t enough, Hamlin raced, and should have won, the Xfinity race here on Saturday so he has a good handle on the track to say the least.

Kyle Busch ($10,000)

Starting Position: 15th

It seems that Kyle has gotten his…stuff (no cursing here!) together at the perfect time. Busch has three top 5 finishes in his last 6 races to end the regular season, and has had success at Darlington and Homestead this season. Kyle finished 26th in the first Darlington race, but rebounded with a 2nd place finish 3 days later. When it comes to Homestead, Busch looked good there with a 6th place finish.

Erik Jones ($9,600)

Starting Position: 30th

Jones is at a price on Sunday that we don’t normally see him at but when you combine his starting position and his success at this track it makes sense. Erik Jones is a driver that a lot of people do not want to play, especially in 2020, but I am locking him in as a favorite for me. He has incredible place differential upside starting 30th, and then add in his aforementioned success at Darlington he could help you get a takedown. Jones won this race last season, and then add his 8th and 5th place finishes this season here, and he has the most upside in my opinion.

Other Options: Kevin Harvick ($10,900)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Martin Truex Jr. ($9,400)

Starting Position: 6th

Truex is slightly under-priced in my opinion this week based off of his success this season at Darlington. In his last 7 races at Darlington MTJ has not finished lower than 15th and has five top 10 finishes, including his win here in 2016.

Aric Almirola ($8,300)

Starting Position: 10th

In the two previous races at Darlington this season Almirola finished 12th and 7th respectively. Almirola’s 7th place finish was his career high at the track, and over his career has improved his finish almost every race here. I think Almirola is a sneaky top 5 finisher on Sunday but I would only recommend him as a GPP play, too risky for cash games.

The mid-tier is not great for Sunday. There are some decent plays, but they start too high in the field for me to consider them, namely William Byron ($7,800) who starts 3rd, and then Cole Custer ($7,600) who will start in 14th on Sunday. Clint Bowyer($8,100) starts 9th on Sunday and is probably the best play among those who start too high in my opinion. I will have a small amount of exposure to Bowyer for sure.

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

Instead of spending up into the mid-tier on Sunday I would rather pay in the $7K range for drivers like Ryan Newman ($7,200), Tyler Reddick ($7,000), and Matt Kenseth ($6,500).

  1. Ryan Newman – $7,200 P31
  2. Tyler Reddick – $7,000 P24
  3. Matt Kenseth – $6,500 P26
  4. Ryan Preece – $5,900 P35
  5. Corey Lajoie – $5,500 P27
  6. Ross Chastain – $5,600 P34
  7. Chris Buescher – $5,700 P20
  8. Ty Dillon – $6,000 P25

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday afternoon’s Truck Series race from Darlington Raceway. This is first time since 2011 that the Truck series will be racing at Darlington. There are only a few drivers in this race who have a raced a truck at this track, including Johnny Sauter ($11,000) and Matt Crafton ($9,300). Neither of them have had much success here, and only Crafton has led any laps (4) at Darlington. We can use Homestead as a comparable track for Darlington since they both run similar high grooves.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Christian Eckes ($10,600)

Starting Position: 17th

Eckes has not had a great run of late, but he does have 3 second place finishes in his last 6 races. Earlier this season Eckes did finish 8th at Homestead and led 40 laps at that race. We will need a similar performance to that from Homestead to make value, and I think he can pull it out. Starting 17th, Eckes does offer some good place differential upside which gives me hope he will get the points we need.

David Ragan ($9,700)

Starting Position : 34th

Ragan is running his first Truck Series race since the 2006 season and will be in the Rick Ware #17 truck. I think Ragan is priced appropriately for his ability and where he is starting in the field. Ragan is possibly the top point per dollar play on the slate, with the possible exception of someone in the next price tier. I will have plenty of Ragan exposure on Sunday.

Other Options: Johnny Sauter ($11,000), Sheldon Creed ($10,100)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Matt Crafton ($9,300)

Starting Position: 10th

Crafton has the most experience at Darlington in a truck and has also had some success here as well. In 6 races here, Crafton has four top 10 finishes, and one top 5. Crafton is one of the most experienced drivers in the field and has the most experience of any driver in this race at Darlington.

Greg Biffle ($8,100)

Starting Position: 20th

Greg Biffle is my favorite point per dollar play on this slate that I mentioned in my Ragan breakdown. Biffle will be in the #24 GMS Chevy that has been one of the best trucks in the field week after week. Sam Mayer drove this truck to a 4th place finish last weekend after leading a good portion late in the race. My pick to win this race is Greg Biffle and I will have plenty of Biffle exposure on Sunday

Other Options: Zane Smith ($9,500), Brett Moffitt ($8,900), Trevor Bayne ($7,600)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Josh Reaume – $5,000 – P30
  2. Codie Rohrbaugh – $5,100 – P33
  3. Bayley Currey – $6,500 – P29
  4. Ty Majeski – $7,500 – P12
  5. Timmy Hill – $6,700 — P21
  6. Austin Wayne-Self – $6,900 – P24

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoon’s Xfinity Series race from Darlington Raceway. We have Denny Hamlin ($16,000) driving for Joe Gibbs Racing on Saturday in his first Xfinity race this season. Last season Hamlin was DQ’d after this race and ended up last after winning the race. Luckily DraftKings pays out the contest based on the unofficial results. If you want to play Hamlin you will need to find a lot of value, but he is worth paying for in this race.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Denny Hamlin ($16,000)

Starting Position: 37th

Continuing on from the open about Denny, he is my overall favorite play in this entire race. If you play cash games, he is a must play for me. I can easily see Hamlin breaking 100 points in this race. Hamlin is hands down the favorite to win this race and should dominate the second half of this race in the JGR #54

Chase Briscoe ($10,000)

Starting Position: 2nd

While I think Hamlin dominates the second half of this race, Briscoe is my pick to lead the majority of the first stage of this race. Briscoe has only raced twice at Darlington in the Xfinity series and owns a win and a 6th place finish. Earlier this season Briscoe won here leading the last 45 laps in the process. I believe I can build a competitive lineup for Saturday with both Briscoe and Hamlin together, but it will take some work to find the right combo of value drivers

Other Options: Austin Cindric ($10,700) – Because, Cindric!, Justin Allgaier ($10,400) – Allgaier starts 16th and has PD upside. If you decide to fade Hamlin in GPP’s, Allgaier is a great option.

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Noah Gragson ($8,800)

Starting Position: 14th

It would seem DraftKings wants us to play Gragson this week with their ridiculously low pricing of him. Gragson has performed well at Darlington, and other tracks that have a high grove (Ie: Homestead). In his last 5 races at similar tracks Gragson has four top 5 finishes and has led 220 laps at these race as well. If you can stomach taking three real cheap drivers, you can play Gragson with the two dominators mentioned above.

Ryan Vargas ($7,600)

Starting Position: 29th

Vargas is a great place differential upside play based on his price and starting position. In just two Xfinity Series races this season Vargas has a 25th and a 13th place finish in the #15. Is Vargas a threat to win this race, no, but is a top 20 in the cards, possibly. If we want to fit the top tier drivers in we will need to find some value and Vargas fits the bill.

Other Options: Brett Moffitt ($8,700), Michael Annett ($8,000)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

Welcome to where we will be living on Saturday! Now, if you are playing MME or large field GPP’s and plan on fading Hamlin, then you don’t need to go too low in this tier, but if you aren’t then you will need to find value.

  1. David Starr – $4,600 – P22
  2. Matt Mills – $5,900 – P33
  3. Dexter Bean – $4,700 – P35
  4. Brandon Brown – $7,000 – P17
  5. Ryan Sieg – $7,300 – P11
  6. Austin Hill – $6,900 – P26
  7. Kyle Weatherman – $5,700 – P31
  8. Tommy Joe Martins – $4,900 – P19

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday afternoon’s Truck series from World Wide Technology Raceway. Unlike what we saw Friday and Saturday night at Daytona, we won’t be seeing a similar style racing from the Trucks at Gateway.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Chandler Smith ($10,900)

Starting Position: 12th

Smith hasn’t been great in his three races this season in the #51, but he did have a great race here last season. In the 2019 version of this race Smith came home with a top 5 finish (4th) in a KBM truck after starting 25th. Smith has led laps in 2 of the 3 races he’s been in this season. I think that Sunday could be the day for Smith to finally break through.

Brett Moffitt ($10,00)

Starting Position: 2nd

Brett Moffitt has been of the best drivers in this series over the last 7 races but doesn’t have a win to show for it. Over those seven races, Moffitt has finished 6th or better in six, including two second place finishes. Moffitt doesn’t offer the PD upside that some of the other drivers in this tier do, but he has the best chance to dominate this race in my opinion. In the aforementioned 7 race span earlier, Moffitt has led laps in every race including leading 50 last week at Dover

Other Options: Sheldon Creed ($11,500) – I don’t love Creed’s price, but if you can make him fit and your comfortable doing so, go for it!, Austin Hill ($10,500)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Ben Rhodes ($9,200)

Starting Position: 5th

Ben Rhodes has quietly been one of the better DFS drivers of late. Rhodes has six top 10 finishes in his last 8 races and has not finished lower than 14th in any of those races. Unfortunately, Rhodes doesn’t lead too many laps so his upside is capped, but if he can get up front he could be one of the best GPP plays.

Derek Kraus ($8,200)

Starting Position: 10th

Kraus has never raced in the Truck series at Gateway, but he has been a very consistent driver this season, especially recently. Over his last 10 races in the Truck series, Kraus has at least 37 DKFP in 8 of those 10 races and is averaging 36.3 points per race over that 10 race span. With limited upside because of where he starts, Kraus is better of a s GPP play

Sam Mayer ($7,500)

Starting Position: 15th

Mayer is a 17 year old driver making his first venture into the Truck series this season. While he hasn’t run a race in this series at Gateway, he does have two 3rd place finishes here in the ARCA series, including Saturday nights race. Mayer is in the #24 GMS truck, so he has good equipment and I think a top 10 is a possibility for him on Sunday.

Other Options: Todd Gilliland ($9,000), Raphael Lessard ($8,000), Tanner Gray ($7,600)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Tyler Hill – $6,500 – P31
  2. Carson Hocevar – $7,300 – P16
  3. Dawson Cram – $6,000 – P25
  4. Austin Wayne Self – $6,400 – P21
  5. Kyle Donahue – $5,600 – P32
  6. Spencer Boyd – $5,800 – P24

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday night’s Cup Series race from Daytona International Speedway. If you didn’t play the Xfinity race or read the article, here is what I wrote about this track:

For those who are new to NASCAR DFS this season, Daytona is what used to be known as a restrictor-plate race and not your typical oval track race. NASCAR has switched from the “plates” of old that began being used 1988, so technically it’s not plate racing because they implemented new tapered spacers. These spacers still have the same effect on the engine, they still restrict the airflow to the engine and allow for the cars to be bunched up at 200 mph running 2 or 3 wide. This type of racing leads to a plethora of accidents and many of the top cars being out early.

One thing I need to remind everyone of is not to worry about salary! You SHOULD have salary left over after you build your lineups on Saturday. When I build lineups for superspeedway races, especially in the Cup series, I will try to only roster 1-2 drivers starting inside the top 20 on the starting grid. Do not feel like there is something wrong with your build if you have over $1-$2K left over. Winning lineups in the last 5 years at plate tracks have had over $3K leftover in some cases. This season at Talladega the optimal DraftKings lineup only used $43,500 of salary, leaving $6,500 on the table and had no drivers starting inside the top 10.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

If you are playing in cash games on Saturday (I do not recommend doing this by the way) there are 3 drivers in the top price tier that you should consider. Ryan Blaney ($10,000) starts 9th on Saturday and while he only has minimal upside, he does have the potential to pick up some dominator points and win here. Blaney has 2 wins in the last 10 SS races and has led the most laps (244) in those races.

Chase Elliott ($11,000) starts 27th and will probably be the highest owned driver in this tier and maybe the entire field. Elliott has 1 win and 3 top 10’s in his last 10 races at superspeedway races. Chase makes the list this weekend purely as a place differential play for me.

Lastly, Denny Hamlin ($10,400) starts 10th and is the only other driver to have multiple wins at superspeedways in the last 10 races. Hamlin came home with the win at the Daytona 500 this season and can complete the sweep Saturday night. Hamlin has six top 10’s in the last 10 SS races as well, so he is pretty much a lock to finish better then where starts.

My favorite pivot off these three drivers is Erik Jones ($9,800). Jones starts from 20th Saturday night so he has PD upside. Over the last 5 races at SS tracks the 20th position is one of the highest scoring spots in the field averaging almost 40 DK points per race.

Other Options: Kyle Busch ($10,200)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Brandon Gaughan ($8,600)

Starting Postion: 40th

I know I said Chase could be one of the chalkiest plays on the slate, well there is one driver who I fee will be higher owned and that’s Gaughan. Starting 40th means he can Gaughan can only get positive place differential, making him the safest play and will most likely also make him a lock for the optimal lineup this weekend as well. I will be rostering Gaughan on Saturday no matter the ownership because his points may not be able to be replaced on the slate.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. ($8,300)

Starting Position: 31st

Stenhouse is one of my favorite plays on the entire slate this week. Not only does he have place differential upside, but also has small dominator potential, and can win this race. Stenhouse has an average finish of 14.7 over his last ten SS races including four top 10’s and 161 laps led. I plan on rostering Stenhouse in 75% of my lineups on Saturday.

Aric Almirola ($8,100)

Starting Position: 5th

Almirola is a great superspeedway driver, but he is a GPP ONLY play this weekend because he is starting so high up in the field. I do think Almirola and #10 SHR team can win this race, and that he can lead a good number of laps as well. Almirola has the potential for a huge negative as well, and even though has been great at these tracks he can still kill your lineups.

Other Options: Austin Dillon ($9,000), Kurt Busch ($8,400), Christopher Bell ($7,500)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

We are going to live in this tier on Saturday. As we saw with the Xfinity race, a single tire going down can take out half the field and a lot of these drivers will be towards the rear and are generally able to avoid the big one(s).

  1. Ross Chastain – $7,100 – P36
  2. Ryan Newman – $6,500 – P22
  3. Ty Dillon – $6,100 – P29
  4. Ryan Preece – $5,800 – P28
  5. Corey Lajoie – $5,300 – P25
  6. Michael McDowell – $6,900 – P26
  7. Josh Bilicki – $5,300 – P39
  8. Chris Buescher – $6,000 – P17
  9. Daniel Saurez – $5,600 – P30
  10. JJ Yeley – $4,900 – P33

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Friday night’s WaWa 250 from Daytona International Speedway.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

AJ Allmendinger ($11,500)

Starting Position: 34th

Allmendinger is an absolute lock and must play in cash games on Friday night. If you play GPP’s like me, you may want to consider a fade of AJ for this race because he will be the highest owned driver on the slate. AJ has the largest upside of any driver in the field on Friday and has win potential. I will not be fading Allmendinger on Friday because in the Xfinity Series, the chalk is usually what gets into the green and not worth risking the fade in my opinion.

Anthony Alfredo ($9,800)

Starting Position: 13th

Alfredo is back in the #21 RCR Chevy on Friday and should contend for a top 5 finish. This season Alfredo ran his first super speedway race at Talladega where he would finish in 6th. I think the #21 will be fast, and as long as the young driver can avoid the big one, he should be in store for a big points day for fantasy.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($10,400), Harrison Burton ($10,100), Justin Haley ($9,600)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Noah Gragson ($8,500)

Starting Position: 4th

Gragson won the “spring” Daytona race this year to kick off the 2020 season and is definitely one of the favorites to get back to victory lane on Friday. In his career, Gragson has 6 superspeedway races and has three top 10’s and two top 5’s and the win this season at Daytona. In his last 3 superspeedway races, Gragson has led at least 15 laps. If we can get Gragson out front for a bit with a top 5 finish, he could crush value at this cheap price

Alex Labbe ($7,800)

Starting Position: 17th

Labbe is not someone I will typically go out of my way to play, but with back to back top 10 finishes in the seasons previous superspeedway races Labbe is a good play at this price. There isn’t much to say about Labbe since he has only raced 6 times at SS tracks and this season were his first two top 10’s. I love his price for Friday and will have exposure to him for sure

Other Options: Myatt Snider ($8,900), Ross Chastain ($8,300), Ryan Sieg ($7,600), Timmy Hill ($7,500)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

Gray Gaulding ($7,300) might possibly be my favorite play on this entire slate. He is a superspeedway track specialist in a way. In his last three races at these tracks he has three straight top 10 finishes (8th in 2019 Daytona, 8th and 2nd at Talladega). Gaulding starts 28th on Friday so he has some of the best upside on the slate after Allmendinger

  1. Gray Gaulding – $7,300 – P28
  2. Brandon Brown – $7,200 – P15
  3. Joey Gase – $5,400 – P33
  4. Jeffrey Earnhardt – $5,900 – P24
  5. Jesse Little – $4,700 – P21
  6. Mike Harmon – $6,900 – P35
  7. Josh Williams – $6,400 – P20

Remember, don’t be afraid to leave salary on the table for these types of race tracks. You will see a lot of drivers starting further in the field having great days. In the last two Xfinity races here at Daytona only 25% of drivers finishing in the top 10 in DraftKings points started inside the top 10.

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sundays Cup Series race from Dover International Speedway for the second of two races this weekend. We saw the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota’s pretty much dominate the race on Saturday, and we should see much of the same from them on Sunday.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Like I mentioned in the open, the JGR dominated Saturday and took home the top 3 spots and will now be the best plays going into this race on Sunday. Now, we can pretty much guarantee that Denny Hamlin ($10,600), Martin Truex Jr. ($11,300), and Kyle Busch ($10,000) will be among the highest owned drivers on Sunday. I will have plenty of exposure to all three. I will suggest that if you play cash on Sunday, you need to try and squeeze all three of these drivers into your lineups.

As for the rest of the top tier, if you are playing GPP’s, I like the idea of taking one or two of the above drivers with Chase Elliott ($10,900) who starts 16th. Elliott had some issues early but was catching the top three as the race progressed and if they had 20 more laps he may have caught them.

Other Options: Kevin Harvick ($11,700), Brad Keselowski ($10,400)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Similarly to the Xfinity race on Sunday, there is much to love about the mid tier in the Cup series on Sunday either. I do have a few plays I am interested in though to try and differentiate from the field in GPP’s

Jimmie Johnson ($9,200)

Starting Position: 14th

Jimmie has always had success at Dover and his car looked good at the end of the day on Saturday. Johnson said the tire situation gave them trouble, but he believes they figured it out and should be better Sunday. I always listen to the drivers, especially one as experienced and successful as Johnson. Johnson knows his car and I trust him when he says they figured it out.

Clint Bowyer ($8,200)

Starting Position: 15th

Bowyer is a driver that doesn’t seem to ever garner much ownership and he might be low owned again on Sunday. With most people trying to load up the top tier, Bowyer could be a driver who wins you a tournament. Bowyer was fast all day on Saturday. After finishing 6th on Saturday, he has place differential upside that he didn’t have on Saturday.

Other Options: Kurt Busch ($8,300), Michael McDowell ($7,500)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

We don’t have a ton of value on Sunday, but there are some plays that we can definitely use to fit in the top tier driver we need.

  1. Corey Lajoie – $5,500 – P30
  2. Christopher Bell – $6,900 – P24
  3. John Hunter Nemechek – $6,100 – P27
  4. Ryan Preece – $5,600 – P29
  5. Bubba Wallace – $6,000 – P26
  6. Daniel Suarez – $5,700 – P31

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday’s Xfinity Series race #2 from Dover International Speedway. We saw Justin Allgaier ($10,800) earn his first win of the season on Saturday and now will start 15th. Austin Cindric ($11,300) finished 2nd on Saturday sending him off from 14th on Sunday making Cindric along with Allgaier the top plays on this slate and I will be stacking them together to try and optimize the dominator points available with place differential upside.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Obviously, both Cindric and Allgaier will likely be the chalk of this slate, but they are must plays in cash. I will be stacking them together like I said in the open in GPP’s.

Noah Gragson ($10,500)

Starting Position: 12th

Gragson finished 4th on Saturday and led 27 laps and will be driving this same car off from 12th on Sunday. I think Gragson could push Cindric and Allgaier for the win as well. Gragson has place differential upside, and if I can find the value I will try and stack him with Cindric and Allgaier.

Other Options: Ross Chastain ($10,100), Harrison Burton ($9,800), Brandon Jones ($9,500)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Riley Herbst ($8,900)

Starting Position: 10th

If you aren’t trying to load up on the top tier for their PD and dominator potential, Herbst may be the next best option. Herbst and the #18 JGR Toyota looked good on Saturday as he ran with the top guys for the majority of the race. I think Herbst could come home in the top 5 on Sunday and make decent value.

I don’t like much else in this tier for Sunday’s race. Since I plan on only playing one lineup for this race and plan on loading up on the top tier guys I won’t be able to fit anyone from this tier. Herbst is the best of this group in my opinion with only a few other possibilities I would recommend.

Other Options: Anthony Alfredo ($8,100), Michael Annett ($7,700)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

I will be living in this tier on Sunday to get the value I need to load up on the top tier guys I want. Jesse Little ($4,800) is one of the best plays in this price range, especially for his price. Little starts 20th on Sunday and if he finishes where he starts he will make 5x value and that’s all we can ask for.

  1. Jesse Little – $4,800 – P20
  2. Josh Williams – $7,400 – P22
  3. Colby Howard – $7,200 – P31
  4. Bayley Currey – $6,300 – P33
  5. David Starr – $6,000 – P25
  6. Kyle Weatherman – $6,400 – P26

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoon’s Cup Series Drydene 311 from Dover International Speedway. This is the first of two races this weekend for the Cup Series. We have dominator points available this week, and a lot of the. This is a race featuring 311 laps, meaning we get 233.25 dominator points available. Since we have so many points available I am going to recommend at least 2 dominators in your lineups along with some place differential plays for value.

Looking back over the last 2 years of races at Dover we will see that 1-2 drivers tend to dominate the entire race as passing here is not easy. In the 4 races at Dover between 2018-19 we saw two drivers in 3 of the 4 races lead over 100 laps, and in the fall of 2018 only Denny Hamlin ($10,200) led more then 100 laps (286 laps led).

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Kevin Harvick ($11,400 )

Starting Position: 10th

Kevin Harvick will most likely be chalky even at this high price. People love playing Harvick, and with him having place differential upside like he does on Saturday, it makes sense. Is he expensive, yes, but he has fared well at Dover in his career. In his last four races here at Dover, Harvick has earned at least 113 DKFP in each of those races.

Chase Elliott ($10,000)

Starting Position: 1st

Chase Elliott has the best chance to dominate this race early on, and he is my pick to lead the most laps. Elliott has been nothing short of excellent in his career at Dover. In 8 races at Dover, Elliott has six top 5 finishes, including a win in the fall race of 2018. I definitely believe that Elliott can win this race and lead 200 laps from the pole.

Harvick and Elliott are my two favorites in this group, but every driver above $9,500 is in play for me, with maybe the exception of Ryan Blaney ($11,800). I don’t want to pay that kind of price for someone who has not had any real success here. Blaney has an average finish of 21.2 in eight races at Dover.

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Because we are looking to load up on potential dominators on Saturday, we will most likely need to look more towards the lower priced mid tier drivers. Both Erik Jones ($9,200 – P13) and Austin Dillon ($8,700 – P32) are the best plays of higher priced drivers in this tier. Jones has dominator potential, and Dillon has tremendous place differential.

Christopher Bell ($7,600)

Starting Position: 18th

Christopher Bell is finally priced appropriately for where he starts and for his upside on Saturday. Bell also is at a price point we are looking for to add into our dominator stacks. In four races in the Xfinity Series at Dover, Bell has two wins, and three top 5’s, and even though it’s the Xfinity Series, it at least shows us that Bell knows how to run at Dover and could have a great day on Saturday.

Other Options: Aric Almirola ($8,900), Jimmie Johnson ($8,000)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Cole Custer ($7,300 – P21)
  2. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. ($6,200 – P19)
  3. John Hunter Nemechek ($6,500 – P31)
  4. Corey Lajoie ($5,000 – P29)
  5. Ty Dillon ($5,500 – P25)
  6. Matt Kenseth ($7,000 – P26)
  7. Ryan Preece (5,700 – P27
