CS:GO Slate Overview

CS:GO Game #1: Renegades (-1000) vs Avant Gaming (+550)

This game is only being played on FanDuel CS:GO slates but it makes for a top target over there. I’d recommend using 2-3 Renegades in your lineups and strongly consider paying up for the Renegades at the team spot for a total of 3-4. While Avant did manage to steal a map from the Renegades in the round robin, it took them double overtime to do so on their map of choice: Dust2. Elsewhere, the Renegades have Avant outmatched, on every map, and in individual talent.

Top Plays: dexter ($12,000), INS ($11,200), Sico($11,500), malta ($10,100)

One-Off: sterling ($11,800) or BL1TZ ($10,200)

CS:GO Game #2: Vici Gaming (+225) vs Tyloo (-300)

In their previous matchup in the round robin, Tyloo beat Vici Gaming 2-1. There was an interesting coaching decision with Tyloo picking Inferno, which is one of Vici Gaming’s top maps and one of their worst, and they ultimately dropped that one while beating Vici on Overpass and Mirage; I don’t foresee the same thing happening here. If I had to guess, Tyloo bans Nuke while Vici will for sure ban Dust2. This leaves Overpass, Vertigo, Mirage, and Train to be 3 of the maps selected. Of these 4, the only one Tyloo has a disadvantage on is Train. I’ll take Tyloo 3-1 in the best of 5, where Tyloo already has a 1-0 lead given they are coming from the upper side of the tournament bracket.

Top Plays: DANK1NG ($11,600), SLOWLY ($11,200), Attacker($9,400) or Summer ($9,500)

One-Off: aumaN ($10,800), JamYoung ($10,600) or kaze($10,600)

CS:GO Game #3: Ence (+100) vs MAD Lions (-138)

We liked Ence last time out versus mousesports and they came away with a 2-0 victory as the underdog. Today is a different day though, and I’m siding with MAD Lions in this one. MAD remains undefeated on both Inferno and Overpass and will get to pick at least one in the ban phase. They also outpace Ence on Mirage, Nuke, and Dust2, with the winning percentage being virtually even on Train. I don’t see how Ence can come away with this one unless allu goes off. My player pool for the DK showdown is listed below:

Top Plays: Bubzkji ($11,200), sjuush ($10,400), acoR($8,800), roeJ ($8,000)

Ence One-Off: allu ($11,000), suNny ($7,800)

CS:GO Game #4: Team Vitality (-225) vs Ninjas in Pyjamas (+160)

NIP has been one of my favorite teams to watch since following CS:GO, but they don’t come out victorious here. ZywOo seems unstoppable and will continue that reign here today. Lock him in with shox and misutaaa being my next targets, although apEX is also viable in lineups. I’ll personally have ZywOo ($13,200) at the captain spot in every line.

Top Plays: ZywOo ($8,800), shox ($7,000), misutaaa ($6,000), apEX ($6,400)

CS:GO Game #5: EG (-150) vs GenG (+110)

The second game of the BLAST slate on DraftKings will really dictate the GPP winning lineups. I’m all in on Team Vitality in the first one, and the second one is a little harder to predict given both teams’ top maps are both Inferno and Mirage and have similar statistics. I assume neither one will be banned, but it still is a possibility that EG bans Mirage given that they’ve only played on there 3 times compared to GenG’s 14 and will remove their best map in the process. I’ll definitely be hedging this game and am not opposed to 2-1 splits to get exposure to both EG’s top players in Brehze and CeRq and one of GenG’s. If you’re firing a single bullet into a SE content, I’d lean EG.

Top Plays (EG): Brehze ($7,400), CeRq ($7,600)

Top Plays (GenG): BnTeT ($7,200), koosta ($7,800),autimatic ($6,800)

KBO Matchups

  • NCD @ HAN
  • KTW @ LOT
  • LG @ KIW
  • SAM @ SK

Kings ofthe Hill

Odrisamer Despaigne(R), KT – $8,300 DK / $28 FD

While he drew massive ownership on his last start, we nailed the Despaigne fade on that slate only to see him get rocked by Doosan for 10 earned runs on 15 hits, including 2 home runs. I’m hoping this will draw his ownership lower than it is projected to be at the time of writing, but nonetheless, Despaigne is a good option on DK because of his matchup versus Lotte. After seeing what Ja Seong Bae did versus Lotte 24 hours ago (22.4 DK points), who was featured in the Kings of the Hill yesterday at only 6% ownership on multiple DK slates, Despaigne has what it takes to drive our lineups to the top. Before his disastrous outing versus the Bears, Despaigne looked to be an elite option in the KBO, sporting a 22.1% strikeout rate and 2.1% walk rate; I expect him to get on track versus a subpar Giants lineup.

Seung WonMoon (R), SK – $8,100 DK / $26 FD

Has there been a KBO pitcher with tougher matchups almost 30 games into the season? Honestly, I don’t think so. In 4 out of 5 starts, Moon has seen NCD, DOO, and KIW. Yikes. Yet, he still is 1-1 on the season with a 5.06 ERA, 3.93 FIP, and 1.46 WHIP. What intrigues me is his K/BB ratio and his percentages; Moon has 21.7% strikeout rate and a 8.77 K/9 while showing strong command on the mound, as seen with his 4.2% walk rate. In a matchup versus Samsung, Moon has the upside needed for GPPs and could see 6-8 strikeouts easily, making him a great play on DK; Samsung has struck out at an absurd rate, 204 times to be exact, which is 3rd-highest in the KBO and represents 7.04 strikeouts per game as a team.

GPP Options: David Buchanan (R), SAM (precede with caution…)

Cash Option: Jae Hak Lee (R), NCD (FD only)

TheBatter’s Box

KiwoonHeroes

What will be interesting to see is who Kiwoon deploys in their lineup. We saw both Byung Ho Park and Dong Won Park sit out last night, and with a league-wide day off tomorrow, I suppose it is possible some of the KIW bats sit again tonight, but if they do play, lock them in. Kiwoon faces Woo Chan Cha on the mound tonight for the LG Twins and he has been fairly inconsistent. He’s surpassed 20 DK points in 3/5 starts, but in the other two, he’s below 3. He has faced KIW once before this season, needing 87 pitches to get through 4 innings en route to allowing 5 runs on 9 hits. KIW’s best hitters are all righties and have a favorable split tonight versus the southpaw. With Cha’s 1.67 HR/9, he could be exposed early on.

Topoptions: Byung Ho Park (1B), Ha Seong Kim (SS), Keon Chang Seo (1B/2B), JungHoo Lee (OF), Dong Won Park (C)

NC Dinos

I hatestacking the same two teams that I did the night before, but it was the rightplay on yesterday’s KBO slate, and it is again today. NCD’s lineup is potentthroughout its entirety and present a huge problem to any pitcher they face.Tonight, the Dinos see Ee Whan Kim on the mound for the Hanwha Eagles who is1-2, has an ERA of 6.00, 1.76 WHIP, 6.82 FIP, and 1.71 HR/9. With Chad Bellonly lasting 4 innings yesterday, which was featured in yesterday’s KBO articleas a prediction, the Hanwha bullpen will be tired and even worse than theirstarter. We called NCD going for double digits yesterday and they put up 14.Lather, rinse, repeat.

TopOptions: Sung Bum Na (OF), Eui Ji Yang (C), Jin Sung Kang (1B/OF), Jin Hyuk No(2B/SS), Min Woo Park (2B)

ComplementaryOptions: Suk Min Park (3B), Aaron Altherr (OF)

SalarySaver: Hee Dong Kwon (OF)

CS:GO Slate Summary: DreamHack/BLAST Turbo (7am EST)

  • 2 games on DK

CS:GO Slate Overview

Game #1: ORDER (+100) vs Avant Gaming (-138)

The first game on tap for the CS:GO slate is inDreamHack Oceania, where ORDER takes on Avant Gaming with the winner heading tothe finals to take on the Renegades. These two teams met in the first game ofDH Oceania, where Avant beat ORDER 2-0 in convincing fashion on Train and Nuke.In the first meeting, Avant immediately banned their worst map, Vertigo, and ORDERcountered by banning their worst map and Avant’s best, Overpass. While both teamslooked to play to their strengths, it’s possible we see a change in strategyfrom the underdog by picking Mirage this time around but Avant simply has themoutmatched in a best of 3.

Top Plays: sterling ($8,600), HaZr ($7,400), BL1TZ($6,600)

Hedge: aliStair ($7,600) and Valiance ($7,000)

Game #2: mousesports (-150) vs Ence (+110)

If there is a game to avoid on tomorrow’s CS:GO slate, it’s this one. Both teams look to be in the elite conversation at times, while they look like dumpster fires the very next day. Personally, I won’t be playing anyone from this game, but have listed targets down below. The winner of this one really depends on how the banning phase goes, and we obviously won’t have that before lock, but if I’d have to guess, I’d lean Ence for the upset.

Top Plays: allu ($9,000), sergej ($7,200)

Game #3: Beyond (+500) vs Vici Gaming (-700)

Don’t overthink this one. It’s set in stone that Vicitakes this one. Better map statistics all around, better players, better team.Should be an easy 2-0 sweep; I’d be impressed if Beyond stole a map, let alonewon. Lock a minimum of 2 Vici players in all your lineups.

Top Plays: JamYoung ($8,000), aumaN ($8,200), kaze($7,800), zhokiNg ($7,000)

Game #4: Team Vitality (+100) vs Fnatic (-138)

Once you eliminate both of these teams’ top two maps, Vertigo and Train, respectively, they are fairly even in map winning percentages. Fnatic has proven to be one of, if not the best team in CS:GO – when they decide to play like it. This one will go to 3 maps, and I’ll side with Team ZywOo, who looked unstoppable today, but do recommend a hedge.

Top Plays: ZywOo ($8,800), shox ($6,400), misutaaa($5,800)

Hedge: Brollan ($8,000), KRIMZ ($7,400), JW ($6,800)

Kings of the Hill

Chang Mo Koo (L), NCD – $9,300 DK / $29 FD

A KBO slate loaded with good pitching options? Yes, please. Chang Mo Koo is a lock on DraftKings no matter what the situation regarding your lineup construction is. The NC southpaw has been elite this season: 4-0, 0.51 ERA, 0.60 WHIP, 31% strikeout rate and 30.8 DK points per game. Is he worth paying up for on FD at $29? That will depend on who you’re stacking and if you prefer to prioritize bigger bats with a cheaper pitcher, but he’s the best pitcher in the young KBO season, by far, and, oh yeah, he faces Hanwha tonight.

Je Seong Bae (R), KT – $6,600 DK / $24 FD

We started the Kings of the Hill segment at the very top of the pricing grid, and now we’re going all the way to the bottom to round out our pitching core on DraftKings. Bae has been an interesting play thus far in the KBO, topping off at 25 DK points versus a lethal NCD lineup in his second start, and hasn’t scored lower than 6.9 versus LOT in his 2020 debut. Pitching over 90 times in 4/5 starts, I think we can get 10+ points from the cheapest option on the slate and that’ll do it for me to get both Koo and decent batters in my lineups. On the season, Bae is 2-1 with a 2.67 ERA, 3.92 FIP, 1.45 WHIP, and prevents power as seen with his 0.29 HR/9. Yesterday, Lotte was the play and they produced 6 runs. Today, they’ll only muster as much offense as they can versus the KT bullpen, because it won’t be versus Bae.

GPP Options: Jong Hoon Park (R), SK, Drew Gagnon (R), KIA

The Batter’s Box

Kiwoon Heroes

The Heroes don’t exactly have the best matchup on paper versus import pitcher Tyler Wilson, but I’m still riding one of the best lineups in the KBO and here’s why: Wilson’s numbers aren’t the prettiest on the surface, and while he is a talented pitcher, he looked awful on the mound versus KIA in his last outing. This was the first time he faced a fairly decent offense since his opening start against NC, where he allowed 7 runs on 7 hits in 4.1 innings of work. The counter argument? He was coming off a 14-day quarantine since entering Korea, and sure, that is a legitimate reason, but what about his 10 hits and 4 earned runs allowed versus KIA in his last start? No quarantine there… KIA left a ton of batters on base, and KIW won’t do the same. With Keon Chang Seo sitting out yesterday’s game to rest since he’s just a few days from returning from an elbow injury, he should be back in the lineup tonight and gives KIW their 1-5 stack back.

Top options: Byung Ho Park (1B), Ha Seong Kim (SS), KeonChang Seo (1B/2B), Jung Hoo Lee (OF), Dong Won Park (C)

NC Dinos

We’re back with NC coming in as my #2 stack for tonight’s KBO slate. NC faces Chad Bell on the mound for the Hanwha Eagles tonight, who has looked terrible since returning from his elbow injury. In his two starts thus far this KBO season, Bell hasn’t made it out of the 3rd inning, throwing 60 and 78 pitches, respectively. Will he see a longer leash tonight? It’s definitely possible given he should be feeling better than he was 10 days ago, but if he gets rocked early on, why would Hanwha leave him in when he’s still recovering? Bell has allowed 7 hits, 4 runs, and has walked 7 in just 7 innings of work. He’ll be in tough versus NCD tonight and I think they’ll pop for double digits seeing the bullpen for at least 4 innings.

Top Options: Sung Bum Na (OF), Eui Ji Yang (C), JinSung Kang (1B/OF), Min Woo Park (2B), Jin Hyuk No (2B/SS)

CS:GO Slate Summary: DreamHack/BLASTTurbo (7am EST)

  • 2 games on DK

CS:GO Slate Overview: DreamHack/BLAST(4am EST)

CS:GO Game #1: Chiefs (+100) vs ORDER (-138)

The Chiefs are a far weaker squad than ORDER, who have been playing tremendously at DreamHack. No matter which maps they land on, the Chiefs only have a shot with how well HUGHMUNGUS ($9,200) can take them, and are priced way too high for my liking on both sites.

Top Targets: aliStair($7,200), Rickeh ($7,000), Valiance ($6,800), USTILO ($6,600)

One-Off (FD): HUGHMUNGUS($9,200)

CS:GO Game #2: mousesports (-150) vs Astralis (+110)

This game is really hard to rate; on one hand, you have Astralis, #1 team in the world, who have lost two of their best players in Xyp9x and gla1ve due to personal leave of absences, and on the other, you have a talented mousesports team that just cannot seem to string a few positive performances together in a row. This one will be ugly, but I’ll take Astralis’ trio listed below with some love for ropz ($7,600) as a one-off.

Top Targets: device($9,800), masgisk ($9,400), dupreeh ($9,000)

CS:GO Game #3: Lucid Dream (-250) vs Beyond eSports (+180)

In an intriguing match on both sites, I’ll side with LD here. They have a winning past versus Beyond, have been playing better over the past month, and have better map statistics all around. Beyond has lost 4 in a row, and LD will make it 5 tomorrow.

Top Targets: Foxz ($8,400), PTC ($8,000), cbbk ($6,400)

One-Off (FD): Olivia ($7,000)

CS:GO Game #4: Dignitas (+250 ) vs Team Vitality (-350 )

The question is not who will win this game and produce the most DFS points, rather, it is who do we stack with ZywOo? These 4 supporting players for Team Vitality jockey back and forth as to who inflicts the most damage and gets the most kills per round, and have pretty similar individual statistics, with ratings ranging from 0.99 to 1.03, K/Ds ranging from 0.92 to 1.01, and kills per round ranging from 0.62 to 0.65. Ultimately, I think shox is the guy you pair ZywOo with, and, if stacking 3, I lean misutaaa but anyone is viable here.

Top Targets: ZywOo($8,800), shox ($6,800)

CS:GO Slate Overview: DreamHack/BLAST(4am EST)

This slate is a Turboslate of the last two games (Games #3 and #4) featured in the CS:GO SlateOverview: DreamHack/BLAST (4am EST) listed above. Targets are also listed.

FD Notes

Remember that 3-2-1 or4-1-1 stacks are optimal there and have essentially taken down every GPP sincetheir implementation of CS:GO slates. Details are discussed above in the CS:GOSlate Overview: DreamHack/BLAST (4am EST), along with top targets, whichwill be from games #1 and #3.

KBO Matchups

  • KIA @ DOO
  • KTW @ LOT
  • LG @ KIW
  • NCD @ HAN
  • SAM @ SK

Kings of the Hill

Mike Wright (R), NCD – $9,100 DK / $27 FD

This KBO slate isn’t exactly flowing with elite pitching options, so why not go to the one ace candidate that faces the worst lineup in the league? While Mike Wright doesn’t offer superior point-per-dollar upside on this KBO slate given his lack of command and elevated price tag, as seen through his 10.5% walk rate and highest salary on both DraftKings and FanDuel, I’ll side with him in most of my lineups for the raw points potential in the best matchup on the slate. He has arguably the KBO’s best offense behind him and is a virtual lock for the win, barring any colossal disaster from his bullpen, and should be the highest scoring pitcher on the slate in what I anticipate being more about dodging negative points than chasing upside.

Ricardo Pinto (R), SK – $7,500 DK / $23 FD

If only DK would let us roster a single pitcher on KBOslates like this, it’d be a no brainer to lock in Mike Wright and call it aday. The SP2 position is the one that will dictate GPP winners, with most ofthese pitchers going for negative points in my opinion or capping at 0-5points. By no means is Ricardo Pinto an elite arm; he’s 2-2 on the season witha 4.71 ERA and 1.78 WHIP, walks a ton of batters – his season low is 1 but inevery other start he’s walked between 3-6 – but he also has a long leash, throwing94-105 pitches in every start. In 3 starts where he looked to be lost on themound, Pinto faced KIA, KIW, and LG. Was it a mental thing that he was scaredof their power bats that he couldn’t find the strike zone? Well I’m not mindreader but it is a thing in sports to see players change their style of playbased off their opponent, and if Pinto can dumb down on the walks tonightversus an inconsistent Samsung lineup and find the strike zone well, he couldbe in for a big night. Again, this slate is all about dodging negative pointsin the SP2 slot.

GPP Options: Won Tae Choi (R), KIW, Chan Gyu Lim (R), LG

The Batter’s Box

Lotte Giants

Doosan Bears? Kiwoon Heroes? NC Dinos? Nope, the LotteGiants are my top stack of the night going up against Min Soo Kim and the KTWiz. Kim is a disaster on the mound working primarily as a reliever and hasn’tpitched 2 innings in a single game this season, posting an 0-2 record, 14.14(!!) ERA and 3.14 (!!) WHIP. KT’s bullpen is the worst in the KBO with a 7.68ERA and will come in for 7+ innings after Kim. Need I say more?

Top options: Jun Woo Jeon (OF), Ah Seop Son (OF), DaeHo Lee (1B)

Complementary Options: Chi Hong An (2B), Dixon Machado(2B/SS)

SK Wyverns

I could’ve easily gone back to the well here with the Doosan Bears, NC Dinos, or Kiwoon Heroes, who are viable stacks on any given night. But on tonight’s KBO slate we’re looking to exploit some good pitching matchups for underowned stacks, and SK fits the bill. SK faces Dae Woo Kim on the mound for the Samsung Lions tonight who has worked primarily as a reliever: he’s 1-1 on the season, posting a 4.50 ERA and 1.44 WHIP and hasn’t gone more than 5 innings and 87 pitches in a single game. If SK can get to him early on, they could be facing multiple relievers in the same game, and that spells offensive output in the KBO.

Top Options: Jamie Romak (1B/OF), Jeong Choi (3B), EuiYoon Jeong (OF)

Complementary Options: Heung Ryun Lee (C), Soo KwangNoh (OF)

Honorable Mentions: NC Dinos, Doosan Bears

CS:GO Slate Overview: DreamHack

Game #1: Renegades (-800) vs Avant Gaming (+450)

The first game of the DreamHack CS:GO slate fortomorrow will be the one to build your lineups around. Once again, I’ll belocking in 3 Renegades and not looking back, with one of them as captain inmost of my lineups as well. The Renegades are the top team out of the 4 hereand are not only on a 9-game winning streak, but have a good history versusAvant. Lock 3 Renegades no matter what.

Top Plays: Sico ($8,200), dexter ($8,600), INS ($7,400)

Game #2: Tyloo (+110) vs Vici Gaming (-150)

If hedging one of the two games on this CS:GO slate ormix and matching your lineups to get different with some one-offs, I suggest itbeing from this game. Vici Gaming is the lower ranked team but boast some greatindividual talents in JamYoung ($7,800), aumaN ($8,000), and kaze ($7,200) andcan put up a fight depending on which maps these two teams end up playing on.Given that Tyloo constantly bans Dust2 and have yet to play on it in 3 months,I would scratch that off the list of possibilities and that greatly impacts VG’schance of winning; Dust2 is by far their best map, where they are 8-1 and posta 89% win rate. On all other maps, VG is 50% or lower. I’ll take Tyloo for theupset.

Top Plays: dank1ng ($9,000), Attacker ($6,800), SLOWLY ($6,600), Summer ($6,200)

CS:GO Slate Overview: BLAST (Early)

Game #1: MAD Lions (-110) vs mousesports (-125)

The first game of the BLAST early slate will dictatethe GPP winners. With the obvious pick in game 2 listed below, this game willlikely be hedged by MME players so I recommend going single entry or 3-maxtournaments tomorrow. With how bad mousepsorts is playing lately, I refuse tobelieve they can beat any top 30 team without a struggle. Even if mousesportsdoes win, I think MAD Lions players outproduce the players of mousesports. I personallywould not recommend hedging this game, not because mousesports doesn’t stand a1% chance or more, but because they’re priced too high for their ceilings.

Top Plays: Bubzkji ($7,800), sjuush ($7,000), acoR($5,600) or roeJ ($6,400)

One-off: ropz ($8,600)

Game #2: sAw (+333) vs Team Vitality (-500)

We’ve written this time and time again for the teamsthat face off against sAw, lock and load with ZywOo and company.

Top Plays: ZywOo + 2 others

CS:GO Slate Overview: BLAST (Main)

Game #1: Dignitas (+137) vs Fnatic (-188)

FNC has been wildly inconsistent and we know that, butI don’t see Dignitas having the capability to beat them in a best of 1. Fnaticis more talented individually, have better map statistics all around, and shouldpull off the victory.

Top Plays: Brollan (9,000), KRIMZ (7,800), JW($7,000), flusha ($8,200)

One-off: f0rest ($7,600)

Game #2: FURIA (-275) vs Chaos (+200)

This one basically comes down to how many rounds Xeppaa ($8,200) can win on his own. Hint: it won’t be too many. Lock 2-3 FURIA guys in every line.

Top Play: yuurih ($8,000), KSCERATO ($8,600), HEN1($8,400)

Game #3: 100 Thieves (-150) vs Cloud9 (+110)

After the EG pick looked to be down and out when theywere behind 10-2 and then again 13-3, they stormed back to win 16-14 andcrushed the slate from a DFS production perespective. Cloud9 cannot be trusted, and it doesn’t change today.

Top Plays: jks ($7,200), Gratisfaction ($7,400), jkaem($6,800), Liazz ($5,600), AZR ($6,200)

One-off: floppy ($8,000)

Game #4: EG (-275) vs Triumph (+200)

Triumph stormed back to tie 100 Thieves after beingdown 10-2 but still didn’t put up crazy numbers given how many times they died.In a best of 1, the same thing applies here, and EG is a talented squad thatwon’t repeat what OHT did yesterday.

Top Plays: Brehze (7,800), CeRq ($7,200), Ethan($6,800)

KBO Matchups

  • LOT @ KIA
  • DOO @ KTW
  • SK @ NCD
  • SAM @ LG
  • KIW @ HAN

Kings of the Hill

Eric Jokisch (L), KIW – $9,500 DK / $21 FD

By far the top option on the KBO slate tonight, Jokisch is a lock on FD at an absurdly low $21 and an elite pay up option on DK, sitting just below fellow ace Drew Rucinski. Through 5 starts this season, Jokisch is 4-0, posting a 0.90 ERA, 2.33 FIP, 0.87 WHIP, and a 24% strikeout rate. His FIP ranks second in the KBO amongst qualified pitchers, and his strikeout rate is up 5% compared to last season. Jokisch is averaging 23.2 DK points per contest thus far and comes into this one facing a Hanwha lineup that struggles with both contact and power throughout the entirety of their lineup; Jokisch will be able to continue his dominance in the 2020 KBO season.

Aaron Brooks (R), KIA – $8,000 DK / $27 FD

It was a tough call whether to list Aaron Brooks or Drew Rucinski as my SP2 preference for tonight’s KBO slate, and ultimately, Brooks takes the spot based on price and matchup. Brooks has been rather consistent this season, posting game logs between 11.4 DK points and 19.8 DK points, the former of which came in his 2020 debut; he’s yet to go under 5 innings in a start and strikeout less than 3 batters, and has topped off at 107 pitchers versus a low of 88 on opening day. This is the consistency we need from our SP2 for cash games and I think tonight is where Brooks may see closer to 15-20 points than 10-15 to help us win GPPs; he has a 21.2% strikeout rate and could see an uptick in that column versus Lotte, who, outside of three outlier games where they’ve posted double digit runs, have averaged 2 runs per game in their last 10 games.

GPP Options: Drew Ruckinski (R), NCD

Punt: Chan Heon Jung (R), LG

The Batter’s Box

Doosan Bears (DOO)

When finding the top stacks on a KBO slate, I like to start with the top 3 offenses in the league: the Doosan Bears, the NC Dinos, and the Kiwoon Heroes, followed by which teams, regardless of where their offensive ranking stands, has the best opposing pitcher matchup. On tonight’s KBO slate, Doosan checks off two of those boxes. Facing Min Kim of the KT Wiz, who sports a 5.23 ERA, 6.34 FIP, and who struggles with command as seen by his 14 walks in his past 3 starts, expect Doosan chalk to hit tonight in a big way.

Top options: Jose Fernandez (1B/2B), Jae Il Oh (1B), JaeHwan Kim (1B/OF)

Salary Savers: Joo Hwan Choi (1B/2B), Jae Ho Kim (SS),Soo Bin Jung (OF)

LG Twins

We avoided the LG Twins outside of tournament play yesterday and it fared well, seeing 4 teams score more runs than them on the KBO slate. Tonight, I have the same worries about the lefty on lefty matchup for LG’s elite bats outside of Eun Sung Chae, but their opposing pitcher is just so bad that we cannot pass up on the matchup. Jung Hyun Baek has missed three+ weeks of action with a calf injury and has yet to make a start since May 9th. On the season, he’s 0-2 with a 7.20 ERA, 8.93 FIP, 4.50 HR/9, and an absurdly low 8.1 K/9. Lefty on lefty doesn’t matter when the pitcher has statistics like these, and if the Samsung bullpen comes in for most of the game, LG could put up double digits with ease.

Top Options: Roberto Ramos (1B), Hyun Soo Kim (OF),Eun Sung Chae (OF)

Complementary Options: Min Sung Kim (3B), Ji Hwan Oh(SS)

Honorable Mentions: NC Dinos, KIA Tigers

KBO Matchups

LOT @ KIA

DOO @ KTW

SK @ NCD

SAM @ LG

KIW @ HAN

Kings of the Hill

Casey Kelly (R), LG – $8,800 DK / $25 FD

We nailed the Casey Kelly pick last time he was on the mound versus Hanwha and he went off for 33.3 DK points, going 6 strong and striking out 10 while allowing 0 runs. On tonight’s KBO slate, his price has caught up to him since he was in the 7k-8k range for most of the season, but he is my top target on the slate, nonetheless. In 4 starts this KBO season, Kelly is 2-0 with a 22.9% strikeout rate, 4.05 ERA but a 2.49 FIP. Kelly’s been unlucky with his earned runs, but tonight he gets a Samsung team that loves to strikeout. He has the highest upside on the slate and is the best play available on both sites.

Hyun Jong Yang (L), KIA – $9,900 DK / $27 FD

With his elevated price tag on DK and some questionable game logs, I’m really hoping we get arguably the best pitcher in the KBO, Hyun Jong Yang, at low ownership tonight. Make no mistake, Yang has been lit up on two occasions this season, one by KIW on opening day and KTW in his last start. The thing is, Yang struggles in opening day starts and is 0-4 in his career, as pointed out in the opening day article. In addition, we now see what KIW and KT’s offenses are capable of now that we have a larger sample size and cannot blame Yang for his struggles. When he faces weaker opponents, he takes care of business and even shut down Doosan’s offense in his third start. Sporting a 3-2 record on the season and a mediocre 16.1% strikeout rate, I expect Yang to prove he’s the best pitcher in the KBO tonight versus a struggling Lotte offense.

Deep GPP Option: Yoon Dong Heo (L), SAM

Best Cash Option: Casey Kelly (R), LG

The Batter’s Box

Doosan Bears (DOO)

After multiple KBO slates where Doosan let theirowners down, it was only fitting that they exploded yesterday versus the mosttalented pitcher on the slate at low ownership. Tonight, they face rookieHyeong Jun So on the mound, who has been less than average after a stellar KBOdebut. On the season, he’s 3-1 with a 7.06 ERA, 5.21 FIP, 1.66 WHIP, 1.25 HR/9and a measly 7.9% strikeout rate. Look for a repeat performance of yesterday’soutput tonight from the Bears.

Top options: Jose Fernandez (1B/2B), Jae Il Oh (1B), JaeHwan Kim (1B/OF)

Salary Savers: Jae Ho Kim (SS), Soo Bin Jung (OF),Kyong Min Hur (3B)

KT Wiz (KTW)

We’re going back to the well after nailing the KT Wiz call on yesterday’s KBO slate. They came in underowned and put up 8 runs against a struggling Doosan pitcher and tonight will be the same with Yong Chan Lee on the mound for the Bears. Lee has had a disastrous 2020 KBO season, posting a 1-2 record with a 8.72 ERA and 6.32 FIP to go along with his 2.07 HR/9. Lock and load the Wiz in either a 3-man or 5-man stack in what should be a high scoring affair, specifically the power hitting duo of Jeong Dae Bae and Mel Rojas Jr. at the outfield position.

Top Options: Mel Rojas JR. (OF), Jeong Dae Bae (OF),Woo Jun Sim (SS),

Other Options: Yong Ho Jo (OF), Sung Woo Jang (C), JaeGyun Hwang (3B)

Honorable Mentions: NC Dinos and SK Wyverns

Best of 1 series

CS:GO Slate Summary: BLAST (Main) (1:45pm EST)

4 games on DK

Best of 1 series

CS:GO SlateOverview: DreamHack

Game #1:ORDER (+110) vs Avant Gaming (-150)

Another day filled with CS:GO slates begins with the Oceania DreamHack slate at 4am EST. This game would be the one of two to hedge, but I’ll side with the underdog in ORDER to take the series. These two teams have plenty of history against one another; ORDER has taken 6 of the past 10 series in the last 3 months, most recently a 16-11 win at ESEA MDL. ORDER has won 9 in a row and are red hot; we’ve seen how recent form dictates matches in CS:GO, and with Avant being in the worse form of the two, I’ll side with the underdog at reduced pricing. If hedging this one, I recommend sterling ($8,600) being at the top of your priority list; he leads Avant in all major statistics, including a 1.31 rating, 0.82 kills per round, and 1.32 K/D. He warrants consideration as a one-off as well given his ridiculous output, but ultimately, Avant is not my top stack because of the considerably low activity of his teammates (56 maps played in the past 3 months).

Top Playsfor ORDER: aliStair ($7,200), Rickeh ($7,600), USTILO ($6,400)

Top Playsfor Avant: sterling ($8,600), BL1TZ ($6,000), ofnu ($7,000)

Game #2:Renegades (-1200) vs Chiefs (+600)

In whatshould be a lopsided affair, all signs point to a quick and easy win for theRenegades. The Renegades come in as the #39 team in the world while the Chiefscome in at #87 and there is a distinct difference in talent level between thetwo squads. Don’t overthink this one, lock 3 Renegades and move on to the restof your build.

Top Plays: Sico($7,800), dexter ($8,400), INS ($7,400)

TOP CAPTAINFOR DH: Sico ($11,700), dexter ($12,600), aliStair ($10,800), sterling($12,900)

CS:GO SlateOverview: BLAST (Early)

Game #1:Ence (-700) vs sAw (+400)

In thefirst game of the BLAST early slate, there will be no hedging in this one. Ence’sopponent, sAw, is out of their league with the opponents they are facing hereand don’t really pose as a threat to Ence in this one. Ence played fairly well againstVitality in their most recent match ending in a tie, while sAw has lost theirlast 4 matches to fellow EU teams.

Top Plays:allu ($9,400), sergej ($7,600), Jamppi ($6,200)

Game #2: Dignitas(+110) vs Virtus Pro (-150)

The second game of the BLAST slate is the one that we have a tough time getting a read on. Both teams are playing so poorly as of late that this game is honestly a coin flip for who will win, but let’s discuss their team statistics and player statistics. Dignitas will have to ban Inferno and Dust2 from Virtus Pro, given their struggles on those two maps and VP’s success on them. After that, teams are pretty even in terms of winning percentage on Nuke, Train, and Vertigo. Individually, f0rest ($8,200) leads the way for Dignitas, posting a 1.12 rating, 1.18 K/D, and 0.77 kills per round. On the flipside, YEKINDAR ($9,000) came in to replace buster, who left the team for personal reasons and has impacted the team positively in his short tenure there; in 11 games with VP, YEKINDER has a 1.05 K/D and leads the team in kills by a wide margin. Ultimately for the BLAST slate, I’ll be locking in the 3 ENCE players listed above and trying to get maximum exposure to both YEKINDAR and f0rest, along with a supporting player such as Jame ($7,400), hallzerk ($7,800), or GeT_RiGhT ($7,200).

CS:GO Slate Overview: BLAST (Main)

Game #1: Astralis (-110) vs Team Vitality (-125)

As we wrote in the last article, Astralis suffered blowing losses to their roster in gla1ve and Xyp9x – and are not the same squad. After losing 16-7 to NIP, they bounced back versus a depleted sAw team, as to be expected, but sAw is nowhere near the squad that Vitality is. It’s tough for me to say, because I loved watching the dominant tenure Astralis had, but I’ll be fading them in this one, not only because they’re ridiculously priced, but because I think they lose outright to Vitality.

Top Plays: ZywOo ($9,200), misutaaa ($6,200), apex ($6,600)or shox ($6,800)

Game #2: Cloud9 (-110) vs Evil Geniuses (-125)

Another CS:GO slate with another tough NA game to call. If you’ve been keeping up with our extensive CS:GO coverage, you’ll know that these NA teams are extremely volatile and inconsistent, but I’ll be hedging this game to get limited exposure. Ultimately, these two teams go back and forth in both recent form and this game is no different being a best of 1 – it can go any way depending on which maps get banned and can also dictate which players do well depending on which map is played so it’s impossible to narrow it down to a tee; make sure to get exposure to both sides with the plays listed below, but if you’re picking a single side, I lean EG.

C9: floppy ($8,200), Sonic ($6,400)

EG: Brehze ($7,800), CeRq ($6,600)

Game #3: 100 Thieves (-350) vs Triumph (+250)

Triumph has a very talented player in Grim, who leads the squad in all major statistical categories: 1.27 rating, 0.83 kills per round, and a 1.06 K/D. The issue is, the rest of Triumph is no match for the depth of 100 Thieves and won’t be able to pull off the upset here. All 4 players listed below are viable and are listed in order of preference.

Top Plays: jks ($8,400), Gratisfaction ($8,600), jkaem($7,400), Liazz ($6,200)

Game #4: GenG (+120) vs MiBR (-140)

This is a game that could shock some should GenG beable to pull off the upset, but I’ll definitely take MiBR as they are a muchmore talented team. Led by the trio of fer ($8,000), Fallen ($9,000), and kNgV-($7,200), MiBR boasts a deep lineup that has upset some stellar teams in thepast and takes care of business against weaker opponents on all facets of thegame.

Top Plays: fer ($8,000), Fallen ($9,000), and kNgV-($7,200)
