UFC Vegas 73

DERN V HILL

After a wild set of fights last week, we’re back in Vegas for a card thats jam packed with action! Today’s card will kick off at 4:00 PM ET. There are definitely some interesting fights in this one and there are a lot underdog matchups as well!! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12 fights that will end with a womens strawweight fight between two fighters looking to make a splash into the top 5 of the division. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 4:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event, as these fighters are both usually active and can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 73 Dern vs Hill.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Andre Fialho vs Joaquin Buckley

Two hype trains that have been absolutely derailed. What’s interesting about this matchup is that both of these fighters got attention with flashy unexpected finishes, only to come crashing down with multiple losses. Both of these fighters have very similar styles, and they fight in a way where either one can knock the other out. I think for that reason this fight is a tossup and I really like getting underdog money on Fialho here. Also, as a prop but I also really like under 2.5 rounds in this match up.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Andre Fialho SECOND-ROUND KO.

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Anthony Hernandez vs. Edmen Shahbazyan

I gained a lot of respect for Hernandez’s ground game when he put away Vieira, an absolute killer on the mat. Shahbazyan had an interesting rise in the UFC as one of Ronda Rousey’s training partners and he had a good run at the start but with not a lot of fights and bad coaching he has now found himself in a position where he’s lost three of his last four UFC fights. Shahbazyan is in a tough spot here because not only has he failed to show improvements but he never lived up to his hype and that mental barrier has to have an effect on this fight. From everything I have seen in the grappling department from these two has shown me that Hernandez will have a clear advantage. The question for me is if he’ll be able to turn that advantage into a finish!

MY UFC DFS PICK: Anthony Hernandez SECOND ROUND SUBMISSION (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION).

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Viacheslav Borshchev vs Maheshate

Both of these fighters have lost their last fight with Slava, losing his last two. In all of these losses, it was the same story, both these fighters haven’t been able to develop their ground game to a UFC level yet and it showed. Because of that I think we’re going to see a very much stand up match up and I think that will slightly benefit Borshchev. Like many fights on this card this fight is also a very close one but Borshchev is a very fast striker, puts a lot of power behind his shots and is very accurate. He only needs to find one or two clean shots to completely finish the fight. After a first round of testing the waters, I think he’ll get it done in the second.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Viacheslav Borshchev SECOND-ROUND KO (possible THIRD-ROUND KO).

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Mackenzie Dern 5 ROUNDER

Orion Cosce (I have not seen anything inspiring out of Urbina and although Cosce is hard to trust and has let me down before. The odds suggest this is a coin flip and I think he has a solid advantage)

Lupita Godinez

Natalia Silva FADE (The value on this fight is terrible and its not worth the risk)

Themba Gorimbo

Nick Fiore (if Fiore and Hooper go to the ground, I would recommend alive, but on Hooper, but other than that Chase Hooper is very one dimensional and outside of Brazilian jujitsu. He is not a good fighter, which is why the UFC is giving him matchups that don’t put them at a big disadvantage)

Karolina Kowalkiewicz FADE (Stay away from this fight, way to difficult to predict and it will be a low output fight)

Michael Johnson (I like Johnson here but I think this photo is very close. I don’t think Ferreira’s a bad call, but I think Johnson should be a favourite in this one and getting him as an underdog is to go to ignore. not to mention Ferreira has lost his last three fights, including tapping to strikes in his last matchup.)

Rodrigo Nascimento

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I am finally allowed to bet again on UFC as restrictions have now been lifted in my area. As such, I will play 2 Parlays. Remember, to take down a GPP; you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments. For any further questions, I will be available until lock in our WinDaily Discord chat. GOOD LUCK, and don’t forget to come back and Win Daily!

UFC on ABC 4

ROZENSTRUIK V ALMEIDA

We’re back with the biggest card of the month, coming by way of Charlotte, NC, tonight UFC on ABC 4 is set to launch! Today’s action will kick off at 11:30 AM ET. There are some interesting fights in this one. It is definitely worth a watch!! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 11 fights that will end with a heavyweight fight between two fighters looking to make a splash into the top 10 of the division. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 11:30 AM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event, as these fighters are both usually active and can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC on ABC 4 Rozenstruik vs Almeida

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Matt Brown vs Court McGee

There are a few underdogs that I was looking at on this card but I had to mention the Immortal, Matt Brown right off the bat. There’s quite a difference in odds here but I think this fight is closer than some people may think. Brown has really been able to turn back the clock a bit as of late going 3-3 over his last six fights. While also not too much older than McGee who has lost four of his last six appearances in the Octagon. There is a fair amount of risk in this one considering that neither of these fighters are at the top of their game anymore but time and time again, I have seen Matt Brown turn back the clock and find the finish even though he came in as an underdog (ie vs Dheigo Lima), I can definitely see it happening here tonight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Matt Brown SECOND-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS).

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Alex Morono vs. Tim Means

If these two fighters were the same age, I’d be a lot less confident in this pick. Tim Means is nearly 40 years old and on the wrong end of a two-fight losing streak. He’s coming up against an experienced and much younger guy in Morono who has won four of his last five UFC fights. Morono is not the flashiest fighter but he has a very high output. It’ll take a lot to put away Tim Means but at the end of the day, I think Morono’s volume and continuous pressure will prove to be too much for Tim Means. Who after tonight will have finished 27 UFC fights in an 11-year career in the organization. Regardless of the result, Means is a true legend.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Alex Morono UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Karl Williams vs. Chase Sherman

After having this fight cancelled on an earlier card because of a Sherman medical issue, not much has changed in those few weeks. I still think Williams packs a lot o power and more than I’ve seen Chase Sherman be able to handle. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sherman was able to survive the first round, but I’d be shocked if he made it out of the second. Williams has very heavy hands and he’s not afraid to take fights to the ground. My only concern with Williams is his fight style, he won his last two fights by Unanimous Decision with a lot of control time and not a lot of strikes. Realistically I don’t even think Sherman is the toughest competition Williams has faced to this point, so I see Williams having an easier time in this fight than some of his others. Sherman only has two wins over his last ten UFC fights, he does just enough to stay in the organization, however, if he loses tonight, I don’t he’ll see much more time on the UFC roster.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Karl Williams SECOND-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION).

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Jailton Almeida 5 ROUNDER

Anthony Smith (I think the way Johnny Walker fights is really entertaining but his fight IQ is very poor, he misses a lot of opportunities to try and go for flashy shots. Regularly puts himself in dangerous areas and has paid the price for it on more than one occasion. Tonight, he’s up against a former title challenger in Anthony Smith who knows how to take advantage of those weak areas)

Carlos Ulberg (Be very careful when playing Ulberg, I am not confident in him and I think this fight is a lot closer than the odds suggest. I even think the value might be on Poteria. I would leave this fight off your DFS lineups. There’s better value on this card)

Cody Stamann FADE (This is going to be a grapple fest, their DFS value will be very low on both ends, I think Stamann has better grappling and will be leading most of the grappling exchanges in this fight)

Ji Yeon Kim FADE

Bryan Battle

Tainara Lisboa FADE (Stay away from this fight, way to difficult to predict and it will be a low output fight)

Daniel Rodriguez (This is deep GPP play and although I like what Garry has been able to accomplish in the UFC thus far, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a massive hype train behind him boosting his odds by a lot. -300?? against D-Rod???? I don’t think Garry has faced a challenge like D-Rod in the UFC yet and even so, there were some moments that concerned me in his earlier fights. This one will be close, I think all the value is on Rodriguez here.)

UFC 288

STERLING V CEJUDO

We’re back with the biggest card of the month, coming by way of Newark, NJ, tonight UFC 288 is set to launch! Today’s action will kick off at 6:00 PM ET. There are great fights up and down this card and I can’t wait to break it all down for you!! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12 fights that will end with a long-awaited grudge match for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 6:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event, as these fighters are both usually active and can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC 288 Sterling vs Cejudo.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Braxton Smith vs Parker Porter

I honestly don’t understand how Braxton Smith is an underdog in this matchup. Sure, he started his career in 2014 with a loss to Chase Sherman back in 2014 but fast forward to 2022 and he started his career again but now he is coming into his UFC debut with five straight wins, all coming by first-round KO. Although Porter will be the toughest opponent Smith has faced to date, by UFC standards this is a gift of a debut matchup. Despite three straight wins early on in his UFC career (none were impressive, all three had a judge scoring the fight 29-28), Porter has since been on the receiving end of two first-round finishes and now sees himself on the chopping block if he can’t get a result out of this fight. Smith is a power puncher with great movement and can be known to let a kick or two fly if the opportunity presents itself. Realistically, the odds show Smith as the underdog since in five real fights, we don’t know too much about him, especially how he would handle adversity. However, Porter’s fight style is well known at this point and I have not been impressed with what I’ve seen out of him, at plus money, I’m going for the newcomer Braxton Smith.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Braxton Smith FIRST-ROUND KO.

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Movsar Evloev vs. Diego Lopes

For those who follow MMA news closely, you will have seen that Evloev was initially slated to fight Bryce Mitchell but Mitchell unfortunately had to pull out with a Back Injury. A big setback for the UFC as they previously tried to make this matchup late in 2022, but it also had to be canceled as Evloev pulled out with an undisclosed injury. In this case, the UFC was able to find a short-notice replacement for Evloev in Diego Lopes who was preparing for a fight in Fury FC two weeks ago which also got canceled. So, we don’t know too much about Lopes except that he has fought in the combat Jiu Jitsu Worlds twice, he cornered Alexa Grasso in her title win, and he lost a 29-28 fight in the contender series as he was held down for over seven minutes by Joanderson Brito. If Brito can hold Lopes down for seven minutes, Evloev will be able to hold him down for an hour, Evloev is a Master of Sport in Greco-Roman Wrestling back in Russia and has a perfect 6-0-0 record in the UFC and has an average of around five minutes of control time in all of his UFC fights. What will be interesting to see in this fight is how Evloev wins. To date, he does not have a finish in the octagon but tonight will be his best chance to secure a finish tonight against a short-notice fighter making his UFC debut. Realistically, the odds are as they are because of how unpredictable the fight is. Evloev is the heaviest favorite on the card but the specific finish odds are split between finish and decision because both seem very possible. Overall, Evloev to win is one of the safest picks of the card, the difficulty is picking how he will win. (Not great value for GPP, I would only consider him for Cash Games)

MY UFC DFS PICK: Movsar Evloev SECOND-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION).

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Khaos Williams vs. Rolando Bedoya

Khaos is back!! After nearly a year away from the Octagon, Williams returns to fight against Rolando Bedoya who is making his UFC debut following an 11-fight winning streak. Bedoya has had some questionable matchups throughout his run of wins but has also fought some legitimate competition. However, nothing compares to the level of competition he will be facing tonight. Williams is in the top 25 of the UFC welterweight division and he should be able to finish this fight cleanly as the odds suggest. Bedoya may cause some problems for Williams early but as the fight goes on I think Williams’ experience will start to come through and by the second round, Williams will have complete control of the fight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Khaos Williams SECOND-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Aljamain Sterling 5 ROUNDER (This is a very close matchup. Although I have not been thoroughly impressed with Aljo throughout his career, he has been working very hard lately. He’s clearly putting in the work and his opponent hasn’t fought in the octagon in just under three years. It’ll be a lot of ring rust to shake off and I think Sterling can take advantage. I am not knocking Cejudo though, he can definitely pull a result out of this fight, but I am leaning more toward Aljamain in this one, especially as a slight underdog)

Gilbert Burns (It is time, Belal will get absolutely exposed tonight. He was able to handle Sean Brady but Burns is a different beast. Belal’s boring fight style will not work tonight, and the difference between these two when it comes to their ground games will be apparent right off the bat. Frankly, I think Burns has better hands than Belal, he can very much finish this fight on the feet. Either way, Burns is the better fighter and I am shocked that the odds are as close as they are tonight.)

Ikram Aliskerov

Claudio Ribero FADE

Kennedy Nzechukwu FADE

Charles Jourdain (Kron Gracie will have a clear grappling advantage in this one but I think that Jourdain will own the standup and Gracie has not fought since a 2019 loss to Cub Swanson, nearly four years of ring rust will have an effect on the fight)

Marina Rodriguez (This one is very close as the odds suggest, if there was more value on Jandiroba, I would suggest taking her to win because of the value but in this circumstance, even the odds are close. I’ll stick with the elite striking of Marina Rodriguez)

Drew Dober (Add this to your parlay, he’s gonna bully Frevola)

Jessica Andrade

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I am finally allowed to bet again on UFC as restrictions have now been lifted in my area. As such, I will play 2 Parlays (including the four legger below). Remember, to take down a GPP; you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments. UFC Vegas 72

SONG V SIMON

After a crazy finish to last week’s card, we are back in Las Vegas to catch today’s UFC Fight Night! Today’s action will kick off at 4:30 PM ET. Lots of new faces are fighting on this card on what I think will be one of the more underrated cards of the month!! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 11 fights that will end with a matchup between two top 10 fighters in the UFC Bantamweight division. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 4:30 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event, as these fighters are both usually active and can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 72 Song vs Simon.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Marcus McGhee vs Journey Newsom

We are starting off our article with the first of two short-notice matchups. Originally Brian Kelleher was set to face off against Journey Newsom and had been touted as a moderate favorite, but he pulled out on short notice. Thankfully, Marcus McGhee answered the call on short notice after coming off an impressive finish in LFA earlier this year. McGhee is a solid power puncher with great accuracy, and he can stand toe-to-toe trading shots if needed. Throughout his short career, he holds a 100% finish rate but has shown to be a bit troubled by strong grapplers, which Newsom is not. Usually, I wouldn’t give a second look to the fighters making their debut on short notice, but McGhee does have a lot of positive attributes in his fights and his opponent, Newsom, has not been on the best of runs with only one win through 5 UFC fights which includes two decision losses and a first-round knockout. I think for the odds we are being given on McGhee; he is a worthy pick for our Value Target of the night.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Marcus McGhee SECOND-ROUND KO.

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Josh Quinlan vs. Trey Waters

Quinlan was initially scheduled to fight Ange Loosa, and he was going to be an excellent underdog play for us, but with his replacement, Trey Waters, Quinlan is now coming in as a -175 favorite. It is true that we have not seen a ton from Quinlan at the highest level, with two first-round finishes in both the Contender Series and his UFC debut, but clearly, what we have seen has been pretty impressive. One thing I want to point out about Quinlan’s game is that he has an insanely high strike output, it is definitely a small sample size, but he comes out of the gate hot, and he is going to put some pressure on early. His opponent, Waters, an LFA Welterweight champ, is making his UFC debut after fighting for his new title two weeks ago. I think it was a no-brainer for Trey Waters to take this fight on short notice, but there is a clear difference in skill level here.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Josh Quinlian FIRST-ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Martin Buday vs. Jake Collier

Collier has been as bad as it gets. He has lost six of his last four fights in the UFC, with his only two wins coming against Gian Villante and Chase Sherman. It doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence, to say the least. Not to mention, in his last two fights, he lost to Old Man Andrei Arlovski and got knocked out via Ground n Pound to Chris Barnett. I think it’s safe to say that when the 11-1-0 Buday knocks Collier out, his time in the UFC will be done. Buday’s only loss came against a top UFC heavyweight, Juan Espino, back in the Spanish regional scene. I don’t usually like to look at records to determine fights, but the difference between these two in their strength of schedules is so significant. It simply tells the story of how this fight is going to go.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Martin Buday FIRST-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Ricky Simon 5 ROUNDER

Caio Borralho (Overall, Caio Borralho is a much more advanced fighter, but Oleksiejczuk is very durable and can sometimes put enough pressure to steal a fight. I am siding with Caio, but I would not be shocked if Oleksiejczuk wins, and he has really good odds in what I think is a close-ish fight)

Julian Erosa

Waldo Cortes-Acosta

Charles Johnson

Stephanie Egger FADE

Jamey-Lyn Horth

Rodolfo Vieira (By submission)

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I am finally allowed to bet again on UFC as restrictions have now been lifted in my area. As such, I will play 2 Parlays. UFC Vegas 71

PAVLOVICH V BLAYDES

After a crazy card last week, we are back in Las Vegas to catch today’s UFC Fight Night! Today’s action will kick off at 4:00 PM ET. A few brothere of superstars will be squaring off and many fighters will be making their long-awaited returns. This card has a lot of close and interesting matchups for us to enjoy!! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12 fights that will end with a matchup between two top 5 fighters in the UFC Heavyweight division.

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 71 Pavlovich vs Blaydes.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Bruno Silva vs Brad Tavares

Tonight’s value play comes directly from the co-main where Tavares is making a return to the Octagon following a loss to Dricus Du Plessis nearly one year ago against Bruno Silva who ended 2021 well but has quickly found himself on the wrong end of a two-fight losing streak, one of which came against a surging future champion in Alex Pereira. I think people are writing off Bruno too quickly in this matchup which is creating some good value. For example, one stat that jumped out to me was Bruno’s significantly higher SLpM rate when compared to Tavares’. I think this can have a larger impact than people realize, especially towards the later rounds. Ultimately, this is a close fight and a good matchup but I think Silva has all the value, is a good DFS play and in my opinion is in a good position to get the win tonight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Bruno Silva UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Bobby Green vs. Jared Gordon

Both of these fighters are very similar, they both rely on their standup game but have been known to mix in takedowns in their arsenal. Green is definitely the more experienced of the two and lately has been facing much stronger competition and holds a win over Haqparast and ended former title challenger Al Iaquinta’s UFC career with a dominant first round finish. Bobby Green has been consistent in showing his finishing power and although its hard to see Green cracking into the top 10, I can see him cruising to a win in this matchup, especially with a small height and reach advantage.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Bobby Green UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Montel Jackson vs. Rani Yahya

As a fighter, Rani Yahya is very much a one trick pony. He’s a grappler pure and simple and knowing that it’s easy for a fighter with the caliber of Montel Jackson to gameplan for that kind of fight style. Additionally, I’m very comfortable leaning on Jackson in this matchup from a statistical perspective. Jackson has a much better strike differential than his opponents, landing nearly three punches for every one punch thrown. Whereas, Yahya actually absorbs more punches than he lands per minute. Not only that but Yahya only has a Takedown accuracy rate of 33% and Jackson has a takedown defence rate of 67%. With those kinds of numbers, I think its only a matter of time before Montel ends Yahya’s night early.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Montel Jackson FIRST-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Curtis Blaydes 5 ROUNDER (Lots of people are high on Pavlovich and he has the power to get a win but Blaydes takedown ability is a gamechanger and it’ll be a huge asset in this fight)

Jeremiah Wells (This fight is very close but Wells has been far more consistent and Semelsberger has made some big Fight IQ errors in his UFC career that steer me away from him.)

Iasmin Lucindo

Norma Dumont

Junior Tafa

Danaa Batgerel

Francis Marshall

Karine Silva

Ricky Glenn

UFC on ESPN 44

HOLLOWAY V ALLEN

After a whirlwind of a card last week, we are off to Kansas City to catch today’s UFC on ESPN card! Today’s action will kick off at 5:30 PM ET. Rematches, rising prospects and long-awaited returns. This card has a lot of close and interesting matchups for us to enjoy!! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 14 fights that will end with a matchup between two top 5 fighters in the UFC Featherweight division. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 5:30 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event, as these fighters are both usually active and can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC on ESPN 44 Holloway vs Allen.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Edson Barboza vs Billy Quarantillo

Let’s get this out of the way first, Barboza has been slipping a bit as of late. Although, it was against strong competition, he did lose his last two fights, whereas Billy Q has won two of his last three. This is all to say that I don’t think previous fight results tell the tale of how this fight is going to go. I think talent will. Barboza holds two black belts in both Muy Thai and Taekwondo as well as a Brown Belt in BJJ while Billy only has a Black belt in BJJ. Now, some would look at this fight and say that Barboza is simply too old, and that it’s a major reason for his decline and although he is 37, Billy is 34. Barboza’s age may have taken him out of the title conversation but it hasn’t made him uncompetitive. Not to mention, I haven’t been fully comfortable betting on Billy since I saw his loss to Tucker. In what seemed like a close fight on paper, Billy Q was absolutely dismantled in every aspect of MMA for 15 minutes, he was outstruck, he has no successful takedowns despite three attempts and was taken down seven times. I think Barboza can produce a similar result here where he is one step ahead of Billy for the entire 15 minutes.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Edson Barboza UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Zak Cummings vs. Ed Herman

Both of these fighters are middle of the roster at this point and it is not likely that either will ever compete for a title given their age. Herman has only been in the Octagon twice since 2019 and in his most recent fight nearly two years ago, he lost via unanimous decision to Alonzo Mennifield. The same can be said for Cummings as he hasn’t fought since 2020. Now, although Cummings is moving up in weight, Herman doesn’t really hold any size or reach advantage. I also see better fundamentals out of Cummings compared to Herman. Especially as Herman got older (he’s 42 now) he’s throwing more looping punches and has had some seriously concerning cardio in his last fight. Both fighters hold BJJ Black Belts with Cummings having a higher degree belt however, I don’t see that being much of a factor here. I think we will have 15 minutes of stand up where Herman will eventually slow down and Cummings will take control of the fighy.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Zak Cummings UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Gaston Bolanos vs. Aaron Phillips

“DreamKiller” Bolanos is set to make his UFC debut tonight against Aaron Phillips, a fighter who is coming off a loss upon his return to the UFC. Both Bolanos and Phillips are proficient in Kicking martial arts with Bolanos being a professional Muy Thai fighter prior to jumping into MMA and Phillips holding a 4th degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. Prior to entering the UFC, Bolanos competed in the Bellator organization where he racked up a record of 6 wins and 3 losses including a spinning elbow KO and an incredible right hook knockout with one second left in the round during his last fight under the Bellator banner. That performance earned him a shot in the UFC and considering some of the matchups other fighters have gotten in their UFC debuts, Bolanos really lucked out. Despite four fights, Phillips does not hold a single UFC win, nor does he hold a win against a single strong fighter. Many of Phillips’ opponents held losing records when he fought them and none of his wins have had any UFC experience. It is safe to say that the jump in competition when one enters the UFC is very significant and Phillips has not proven that he can compete in that level. I think that Bolanos is very game and will try to put this one away early.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Gaston Bolanos FIRST-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Max Holloway 5 ROUNDER

Dustin Jacoby (Azmat Murzakanov is undefeated but this is a massive step up in competition for him, if anyone is taking that zero from him, it’ll be Jacoby. With that being said, Muzakanov is a decent GPP play but I still expect Jacoby to get it done)

Ion Cutelaba (Tanner Boser is terrible, since his fight against Arlovski, I’ve never had faith in him again, and he’s proven me right time and time again by losing to Illir Latifi and Rodrigo Nascimento)

Chris Gutierrez

Bill Algeo

Rafa Garcia

Matheus Nicolau (I do like Brandon Royval as an underdog here as well. He’s a solid Deep GPP play)

Piera Rodriguez (This one is close, many would lead towards Robertson because of her strong grappling but I think Piera has a decided advantage on the feet and can keep the fight there. I wouldn’t put money on this fight as there are too many unknowns but both fighters can hold DFS value)

Daniel Zellhuber

Bruna Brasil

Lucie Pudilova (Her opponent Edwards came in 0.5 lbs overweight)

UFC 287

PEREIRA V ADESANYA 2

We’re off to Miami for today’s UFC card! Today’s much-anticipated action will kick off at 6:00 PM ET. Rematches, rising prospects and long-awaited returns. This card has it all!! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 13 fights that will end with a rematch for the UFC Middleweight title.

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC 287 Pereira vs Adesanya 2.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Santiago Ponzinibbio vs Kevin Holland

Something is throwing me off about Holland, and it’s making it hard to pick him in fights, even in fights where he’s the favourite. Holland has gotten into another backstage dust-up, this time with Jorge Masvidal, ahead of his main card matchup with Santiago Ponzinibbio. Thankfully, this time it didn’t lead to any fights getting rebooked. He will still be facing off against a game Ponzinibbio, who is coming off of a third-round knockout over a surging Alex Morono. Despite some bad luck, Ponzinibbio is a serious threat and one that Holland needs to take very seriously if he wants to win this fight. Unfortunately for Holland, I think he will get distracted and will find himself in serious trouble. His fight IQ has been a concern for me in the past, and if he wants to continue to have a career in the highest levels of the UFC, he will need to keep his focus on the fights.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Santiago Ponzinibbio UNANIMOUS DECISION (possible THIRD-ROUND KO).

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Trey Ogden

La Jaula Bahamondes is returning to the octagon for his first fight in over a year. In his last two fights, Bahamondes has been responsible for two of the craziest high-light reel finishes I have seen with a perfectly executed Brabo Choke (like an inverted guillotine choke) and a gross wheel kick KO. Ogden is not at a level where he can compete with Bahamondes on the feet. Ogden absorbs more strikes per minute than he lands, and his strike output (3.73 SLpM) is not even half that of Bahamondes’ strike output (8.33 Strikes Landed per Minute/SLpM). On top of that, if Ogden is thinking of transitioning to the ground, he will have trouble doing so, with Bahamondes sporting an incredible 95% takedown defence rate. Realistically, there wasn’t a lot that impressed me in Ogden’s win over Daniel Zellhuber and with a guy as talented as Bahamondes, I can only see Bahamondes dominating in this matchup.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Ignacio Bahamondes SECOND-ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Jaqueline Amorim vs. Sam Hughes

I am truly impressed that Sam Hughes is still on the UFC roster after a razor-sharp win against Istela Nunes and a win against Elise Reed. It seemed as though Hughes may have solidified herself a roster spot in the women’s strawweight division. However, after a decisive loss to Piera Rodriguez and now tonight’s matchup against a highly touted, undefeated prospect in Jaqueline Amorim, I don’t think Hughes’ future in the UFC looks all that bright anymore. Amorim, a former LFA champ, BJJ Black Belt and IBJJF champ, will be making her UFC debut following four dominant performances in LFA, where she secured first-round finishes in all of those fights. I am expecting Amorim to continue that trend today with a first-round submission over Sam Hughes.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Jaqueline Amorim FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION. (BIG VALUE ON FANDUEL)

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Alex Pereira 5 ROUNDER (Between UFC and Kickboxing Pereira is 3-0-0, and despite a strong start in their first fight, Adesanya ultimately lost to Pereira via a fifth-round KO. I can see a similar story playing out tonight where Adesanya may control the fight early on and will fade as the fight goes on. Both these fighters are really even in skillset, but as we have seen, Pereira has gotten the better of Adesanya time and time again.)

Gilbert Burns (This fight shouldn’t even be competitive. Masvidal hasn’t won since 2019, when he beat Nate Diaz for the “BMF title.” Since then, almost four years have passed, Masvidal has lost two title fights, and I don’t see a world where he beats Burns outside of a fluke KO. Burns is simply the better fighter, especially when it comes to grappling.)

Adrian Yanez

Raul Rosas Jr.

Chris Curtis

Joel Pfyer

Lupita Godinez

Luana Pinheiro

Shayilan Nuerdanbieke

Karl Williams

UFC on ESPN 43

VERA V SANDHAGEN

After a wild weekend in London, the UFC will be back state-side in San Antonio, Texas for an absolute banger of a card! Today’s action will kick off at 4:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 11 fights that will end with two Bantamweights looking to secure a top 5 spot and reintroduce themselves back into the title conversation.

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC on ESPN 43 Vera vs Sandhagen

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Trevin Giles vs Preston Parsons

Giles is coming off an impressive win against Louis Cosce and holds wins over Ryan Spann, James Krause and Roman Dolidze, pretty decent resume, especially compared to Preston Parsons who’s only UFC win came against Evan Elder and was on the receiving end of a brutal first round KO from Daniel Rodriguez in his UFC debut. I will say that Parsons is a more active fighter than Giles which is most likely why the bookmakers are giving him a shot in this one, and of course Parsons does have a chance but I do think that Giles has advantage, especially as the fight goes on and Parsons high activity level drains his energy late in the fight. On what is essentially a pick-em fight I like the DFS value that Giles provides.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Trevin Giles UNANIMOUS DECISION (possible THIRD-ROUND KO).

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Chidi Njokuani vs. Albert Duraev

Both of these fighters are coming off losses following respectable winning streaks. Duraev has a good win under his belt in Roman Kopylov but in terms of strength of schedule, Njokuani is leaps and bounds ahead of Duraev. On top of the sub 30-sec KO against Power Bar Barriault, Njokuani also holds a first round knockout over Dusko Todorovic after some brutal elbow at the end of the round. When he’s locked in Njokuani is a very dangerous man and Duraev has shown that he is not good at fighting off high pressure early. So, when he puts heavy pressure on Duraev, he will fold very quickly. I expect this to be over in one round.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Chidi Njokuani FIRST-ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Manel Kape vs. Alex Perez

Perez has had quite an unsteady ride since his losing bid at a title shot. 8 Cancelled fights and 1 loss to Alejandro Pantoja. Perez has had just the one fight in over two years and that contrasted with Kape who fought months ago and is currently on a three-fight winning streak. I have also seen strong striking fundamentals from Kape with a lot of power behind his shots. Even his jabs have some heat behind them. I think it’ll take Kape a round to settle in but once he finds his groove he’s going to get the job done.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Manel Kape SECOND-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Cory Sandhagen 5 ROUNDER (Cory is the better all around fighter but there is good value on a Vera knockout. For DFS it may be worth the risk but for a parlay I would avoid this fight altogether)

Holly Holm

Nate Landwher

Maycee Barber

Tucker Lutz

Steve Peterson

CJ Vergara

Victor Altamarino FADE

SUMMARY:

UFC 286

EDWARDS V USMAN 2

Today the UFC will be taking us across the pond to O2 Arena in London, England for UFC 286! Today’s action will kick off at 12:30 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 15 fights that will end with a welterweight title rematch after Edwards’ miraculous KO of Usman last year. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 12:30 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event, as these fighters are both usually active and can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC 286 Edwards vs Usman 2.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Roman Dolidze vs Marvin Vettori

I know that Dolidze did not look good against Starapoli (a fight he ended up winning too) but since then he has racked off three impressive finishes and redeemed himself in my eyes. Tonight, he’ll be up against Marvin Vettori, a top-level Middleweight who holds wins over some of the division’s best talents but was never able to capture the title after a dominant performance from Israel Adesanya. Since that title fight, Vettori has gone 1-1 and will be looking to get back into the top 5 with a win today. Dolidze on the other hand has all the momentum in the world along with a unique skill set which has both grappling and striking. Realistically, when Vettori takes over a fight, he’s usually fighting a one-dimensional fighter and brings a gameplan to exploit their weaknesses, with Dolidze that will be very hard, I expect Dolidze to put up a big challenge for Vettori and ultimately take a decision win or even a late round finish.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Roman Dolidze UNANIMOUS DECISION (possible THIRD-ROUND KO).

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Muhammad Mokaev vs. Jafel Filho

Muhammad Mokaev will win this fight, now I know that the second last time he fought he ruined his DFS value by not getting the finish and coasting to a victory and in the fight after that he got a late third-round submission. But tonight, he is the much more talented fighter and he will have something to prove. His opponent Jafel has had a good run as of late with five straight finishes but he has never fought anyone like Mokaev, and with Mokaev competing in his home country, he’ll have an even stronger advantage in this one. Mokaev is just a different kind of athlete, what we’ve been able to see him do in the octagon is extremely impressive and although he will get challenged the further he goes in the UFC, I don’t think this matchup is it.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Muhammad Mokaev FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Jack Shore vs. Makwan Amirkhani

Yes, Jack Shore lost his perfect record in his last fight but he was fighting an extremely talented wrestler in Ricky Simon, tonight he is fighting close to home against Amirkhani who has only won one of his last five fights. Amirkhani has gotten finished by Lerone Murphy and Jonathan Pearce recently, I think Shore is better than both of those fighters and I think he will cruise to an easy finish in this one. Amirkhani is washed up, he has not been good for a while, his win against Grundy has kept him in the UFC but after tonight I think his luck will have run out and he’ll be let go by the UFC.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Jake Shore SECOND-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Kamaru Usman 5 ROUNDER (Let’s be honest here, before that last-minute KO Usman was cruising to a boring UD victory, he won every minute of every round before that kick but that is the sport we love. Anything can change in an instant and Usman found that out the hard way. Now the dynamics are different, Usman is the challenger, and maybe he’ll be a little more gunshy given what happened the last time he fought Edwards. Although I think Edwards can definitely repeat his success, Usman has a clear gameplan, wrestle, wrestle, wrestle.)

Rafael Fiziev (This is truly Fiziev’s biggest test in the octagon and I’m expecting a wild back and forth here with a lot of DFS output on both sides of this fight. Both of these fighters are so well rounded but I think that Fiziev is a little faster on his feet and a little sharper with his strikes. This one is super close in my opinion and I know both fighters will leave everything out there but I would have to give a tactical edge to Fiziev.)

Gunnar Nelson (By Submission.)

Casey O’Neill

Chris Duncan

Yanal Ashmoz DEEP GPP (Patterson is a pretty clear favourite according to the Vegas odds and they’re giving him a lot of props for his grappling ability which is at a high level for his competition but I think this fight is a lot closer than they are making it out to be and the DFS value is on Ashmoz. Although, if you are looking to include Ashmoz in a parlay, I wouldn’t recommend it.)

Lerone Murphy (Gabriel Santos has good DFS Value but I do think that Lerone Murphy will win this fight.)

Joanne Wood FADE

Christian Leroy Duncan

Jake Hadley (Gordon came in three and a half pounds overweight, so not only did I think that Hadley had an advantage in this one, I think he will be coming into this fight with a chip on his shoulder.)

Juliana Miller (Miller could actually get a finish here, she has good grappling fundamentals and her opponent, Hardy, is terrible and only holds one win in five UFC fights with the win coming back in 2019. Miller on the other hand is coming off a win on the Ultimate Fighter.)

L’udovit Klein

SUMMARY:

UFC Fight Night 221

YAN v DVALISHVILI

After one of the best cards of the year in UFC 285, we now go to Paradise, Nevada to catch today’s bouts. Today’s action will kick off at 3:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 13 fights that will end with a top 5 bantamweight fight that had fireworks before the two fighters even stepped into the Octagon. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 3:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event, as these fighters are both usually active and can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Fight Night 221 Yan vs Dvalishvili.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Lucasz Brzeski vs Karl Williams

To clear the air on where both fighters stand here. Brzeski is coming into his second UFC fight after entering through the Contender Series, in his first bout he lost a very close split decision to Martin Buday where Brzeski outstruck him 118-66. Williams is making his UFC debut after a decision win on the contender series where he came in as the underdog and proceeded to control his opponent for over 10 minutes of the fight. Vegas odds have Williams coming in as a -250 favorite here and I think that is simply absurd. This is a much closer fight in my opinion and if I had to lean one way on it, I would lean toward Brzeski. Williams has not fought a single notable fighter and Brzeski will definitely be his toughest opponent.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Lucasz Brzeski UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Vitor Petrino vs. Anton Turkalji

Petrino is making his UFC debut after scoring a comeback second-round KO in the Contender Series to keep his perfect, 7-0-0 record intact. Turkalji also had a perfect record coming into his last fight, his UFC debut against Jailton Almeida where he was demolished in about 30 seconds. Although I don’t think Petrino will be able to replicate the same domination that Almeida had, I think that Petrino will hold a clear striking advantage in this fight. My main concern for Petrino is Turkalji’s takedown attempts. He will shoot for them a lot, especially if the fight is not going his way. All this to say that I hope Petrino has drilled takedown defence in his fight camp and is prepared for any surprises Turkalji might throw at him. Overall though, I see Petrino taking this fight easily.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Vitor Petrino SECOND ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Sedriques Dumas vs. Josh Fremd

Dumas will be bringing his perfect 7-0-0 record into the octagon today against Josh Fremd. Out of his seven fights, Dumas has finished six of them, including four in the first round. The last time we saw Fremd, he was getting handled by Tresean Gore and if Gore was able to take care of him that easily, I don’t think Fremd will have a prayer against Dumas. Whether it’s his quick hands or his grappling ability (BJJ Purple Belt). I think Dumas is well-rounded enough to get the job done quickly here. While Fremd is on the verge of being let go as if he loses tonight, he’ll be 0-3-0 in the Octagon.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Sedriques Dumas FIRST-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Petr Yan 5 ROUNDER (I won’t get into what caused the scuffle, but the bottom line is, emotions will be high in this one. I think we will see a usual routine that we see in a lot of Yan’s fights, a slow first, then once he has his reads, he explodes from there. This fight has a lot of important tension behind it, but at the end of the day, Yan is a gifted Muy Thai specialist, and I think he’ll have a clear advantage in this matchup. Especially considering Merab is a close teammate of Aljo’s, I think there will be many layers to the background of this fight.)

Alexandr Romanov (Battle of the Alex’s as Moldova’s Romanov goes against Russia’s Volkov. Volkov holds a height and reach advantage while Romanov has a grappling advantage. Realistically, I see this being a close fight but I think Romanov will be able to bring him down and take control of the fight from there.)

Nikita Krylov (This fight was supposed to take place last month but Krylov fell ill and the fight was cancelled in the middle of the card. Realistically, this is a close fight but I think Krylov is just a little better than Spann overall but they do generally have similar skillsets. This will be an interesting one to watch.)

Mario Bautista (He’s coming in a -1000 which is nuts. I definitely think Bautista will win but all the value is on Canetti and I wouldn’t fully count Canetti out either, he has surprised us before)

Davey Grant

Victor Henry FADE (Henry is too inconsistent, I think he can snag a decision win but it’s not worth the risk of him losing or a very low output fight)

Said Nurmagomedov (He has a clear advantage on the feet and although, I don’t want to disregard Martinez’s recent success and striking ability, Nurmagomedov’s grappling is just too good to ignore. I’m not sure if he’ll go for a lot of submissions or just ride out a decision purely from control time. Might not be worth the risk for DFS)

JJ Aldrich FADE (Aldrich is the favourite for a reason, Lipski is going down in weight to fight Aldrich and even though Lipski is from the heavier division, she doesn’t have a significant height or reach advantage. Both of these fighters have had rocky fights recently and this one could go either way but if I would have to choose, I would go Aldrich)

Bruno Silva

Carlston Harris (Gooden came in six pounds over and I still don’t think that will help him beat Harris, it could also mean that Gooden had a bad cut which would make things worse for him. Either way, I’m all in with Harris)

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I am finally allowed to bet again on UFC as restrictions have now been lifted in my area, As such, I will play 2 Parlays. Remember, to take down a GPP, you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments.
