Tonight we are back for League Of Legends (LOL). We are in full force with the World Championship! The World Championship is a combination of the best LOL teams in the World playing for that shot at being crowned the best in the World. Now down to FOUR teams and the Semi-Finals, in a very competitive Esports competition.

We have two very intriguing semi-final matchups tomorrow and Sunday for some entertaining LOL DFS. Tomorrow we begin the semi-finals of the World Championship with Damwon Gaming (DWG) (-260) facing off against G2 Esports (G2) (+180), and on Sunday, Suning (SN) (+145) is facing off against Top Esports (TES) (-200). Both will be entertaining, to say the least, in their best of five series matchups. The winner of both matchups will be battling it out for the crown and title of the world’s best league of legend team!

TOP PLAY: (Sunday 6 AM EST)

TOP ESPORTS (TES) (-200) (PROJECTED KILLS PER GAME 15.5) VS. SUNING GAMING (SN) (+145) (PROJECTED KILLS PER GAME 12.5).

My top play of this LOL DFS slate s going to come from the battle that is taking place on Sunday, October 25th. The match between Suning (+145) and TES (-200) is going to be memorable, to say the least. Suning has shown that they can run with the big boys and have fought tooth and nail all the way into the semi-finals of the world championship tournament. They recently defeat JDG in an impressive 3 to 1 victory. Suning has the power and strategic planning to come out on top here, but I feel that TES will stop them in their tracks.

TES is a very determined team, and have been at the top of the standings for almost two years now. They tend to exploit every weakness their opponent shows them and can turn any game around in their favor. I believe that JackeyLove (ADC) and Knight (MID) will be the the decision-makers in this game and will send SN home packing, coming just short of their world title shot.

MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY:

TOP ESPORTS (TES) (-200) (PROJECTED KILLS PER GAME 15.5).

SECONDARY PLAY: (Saturday 6 AM EST)

G2 ESPORTS (G2) (+180) (PROJECTED KILLS PER GAME 12.5) VS. DAMWON GAMING (DWG) (-260) (PROJECTED KILLS PER GAME 16.5).

My secondary play could very-well outscore my top play if the stars align for them. G2 Esports (+180) will be in a dogfight with none other than Damwon Gaming (-260). DWG has been a force all year long and will give G2 a very difficult time. If DWG leans on Canyon and ShowMaker as they have previously, they can defeat anyone. The second that they start to second-guess their strategic planning; it will cause their demise.

G2 has been playing every team very aggressively. They have fought back in games, lost games, and won games. They are the world’s wildcard, in my opinion. G2 can either be an extreme BOOM play or an awful BUST play. In this spot versus DWG, I think that G2 will struggle at first, maybe lose the first game, but once they get their movement and strategy down to a science, they will thrive. G2 has to lean on both Caps and Perkz to break through into the finals, and I believe they will succeed. I project that G2 wins this series but needs all five matches to do it.

MY ESPORTS SECONDARY DFS PLAY: G2 ESPORTS (G2) (+180) (PROJECTED KILLS PER GAME 12.5)

DFS FAVORITE CAPTAINS / STARS:

JACKEYLOVE (ADC) (TES)

CAPS (MID) (G2)

KNIGHT (MID) (TES)

PERKZ (ADC) (G2)

KARSA (JNG) (TES)

SHOWMAKER (MID) (DWG)

HAUNFENG (ADC) (SN)

GHOST (ADC) (DWG)

ANGEL (MID) (SN)

CANYON (JNG) (DWG)

ESPORTS DFS SLATE SUMMARY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS:

I will be building TEN ESPORTS DFS lineups. Most of my stacks will be four/three. I will prioritize using ADC and MID in my captain spot. If I can not use ADC or MID, I will use any of the other positions to build my lineups with the teams I have selected. My positions in order of preference is ADC, MID, JNG, TOP, then SUP.

TOP PLAY:

(10/18/20) G2 ESPORTS (G2) -110

My top target of the day will come from the second match being held on Sunday, 10/18. Gen. G Esports (GEN) -125 will battle it out against G2 Esports (G2) -110. This match will be a very tricky one to pick. If G2 upsets Gen G, They will have a monster score, and that is why they are my top play of this LOL DFS slate. Gen G has the ability to dismantle G2, but I am still going to roll with mostly G2.

When G2 is on point, they can beat any opponent thrown their way. The same goes for Gen G. We will need value on a slate like this, and I believe it will come from the underdog. With Perkz and Caps as my priorities, it will give me the ability to stack anything I want. I will have shares of Gen G (30%) because this match will be very close, but I will have mostly G2 in my LOL DFS lineups stacked with TES.

MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: (10/18/20) G2 ESPORTS (G2) -110

SECONDARY PLAY:

(10/17/20) TOP ESPORTS (TES) -950

CONTINUED FROM YESTERDAY’S ARTICLE……

The next match being held on Saturday, 10/17, will be Top Esports (TES) vs. Fnatic (FNC). TES is by far the best team in the world, in my opinion. They have dismantled almost every team in their path. TES is a team that makes minimal mistakes and exploits every error on their opponent’s team. They can play at any pace that they want to and be successful while they do it. FNC has an uphill battle coming up and better be ready for the task that they face. If FNC continues to leave the MID lane completely open, they will get destroyed and in a hurry. I do not see FNC putting up much of a fight here, but I see them being able to slow TES’s playstyle down.

Usually, I would be all over four-man stacks of TES, but because FNC can slow them down, they have become my secondary play. I do not think that FNC will win, but I do believe that G2, in the second match of this LOL DFS slate, will outproduce TES, and that is why G2 is my top play of this slate.

MY ESPORTS SECONDARY DFS PICK: TOP ESPORTS (TES)

DFS FAVORITE CAPTAINS / STARS:

PERKS (ADC) (G2)

JACKEYLOVE (ADC) (TES)

CAPS (MID) (G2)

JDG GAMING (JDG) -175

My top target of the day will come from the first match being played on Friday at 6 am est. JDG (-175) takes to the rift against a hit or miss Suning team (+125). JD Gaming is gaining traction with every game that passes and is now in the best of five battles against a team that tends to start slow.

JDG likes to start fast, end fast, and destroy everything in their path. They love exploiting weaknesses in their opponents, and I feel that they will most definitely take full advantage of Suning’s flaws in this series. JDG should have no issue taking out the kill feeding Suning team, and I want to make sure I’m on the winning side of the rift for this one. I will have 70% of JDG in my LOL DFS lineups and 30% Suning (to cover a fluke win).

The Group Stage of the 2020 LoL Worlds has concluded and we are now live for our first two quarter-final matchups between some regional foes; DWG sees DRX in a rematch of the LCK Summer Split finals, while JDG sees another LPL representative in Suning with a berth in the semi-finals on the line. Remember, these series are now Best of 5 so there are a few additional components to consider when constructing our lineups: although we would want the team we predicted to go 3-0 at the “Team” spot in our lineups last week in a reverse 4-3 type of lineup construction, this is not a round robin with 4 teams and 6 games where they each face one another on the same slate; bonuses will be key to getting to the top of our GPP leaderboards and we need to identify the correct path. Let’s dive in:

LoL Matchup #1: DAMWON Gaming (-800) vs DRX (+450)

As mentioned above, our LoL slate begins with a rematch of the LCK Summer Split finals between DWG and DRX. Although they have been playing slower than they typically did in the Summer Split, DWG is still averaging 0.571 kills/minute at Worlds, which would be good for 6th-most in history. In case you can’t read between the lines, let me just come out and say that this team can do it all: they hold all major advantages at the 15-minute mark versus their LCK foe, in addition to holding the advantage in major objectives. If DRX can somehow win the bot lane and run through Deft/Keria, they may steal a game, but I just don’t see it – as good as Chovy is, he’s in for another long series here versus ShowMaker in the mid lane, making the latter a top priority in DWG stacks, in addition to Canyon’s absurd 76.5% kill participation rate.

The Pick: DWG 3-0

LoL Matchup #2: Suning (+137) vs JD Gaming (-188)

I wish our second matchup wasn’t another regional one, but it shows just how good the LPL and LCK are; on Friday morning, we get to see JDG take on Suning. Although SN holds the advantage in rift herald percentage, first turret percentage, and vision, JDG has better numbers when it comes to major objectives and statistics at the 15-minute mark. When we break this one down based on lane matchups, JDG seems to separate themselves from their counterparts; although bin (TOP) has the raw talent, Zoom is simply more active and scales better, while Kanavi, who is one of, if not the best jungler in the LPL, should be able to handle SofM all series long. In the bot lane is where things get dicey; Huanfeng and SwordArt have shown potential, but they can also be the demise of their team’s fights if they’re not on the same page, which won’t fly versus the likes of Loken and LvMao. JDG gets this one done, and with them averaging 0.547 kills per minute at Worlds right behind DWG, they make for a good option in a Day-2 four-man stack.

The Pick: JDG 3-1

Tonight we are back for League Of Legends (LOL). We are in full force with the World Championship! The World Championship is a combination of the best LOL teams in the World playing for that shot at being crowned the best in the World in a very competitive Esports competition.

Tonight we have six solid matchups in what will be six best of one series. The difference with this slate is that it is going to be a round-robin format. This means each team will play one another, and all of their results will be built into one final score. I will give you my top two picks for tonight’s battles on the rift that start at 4 am EST. Each pick will be the pick and the pick only, seeing as they will be playing multiple matchups. Without further adieu, let’s get started.

TOP PLAY:

LGD GAMING (LGD)

LGD has finally shown up to the world tournament. They started a little rocky but have shown that they can beat just about anyone if they are on point and their communication skills are intact. They are in a group that takes no prisoners and is filled with elite talent.

LGD’s first match is against Gen. G Esports (GEN), where they are a +140 underdog and have a projected kills of 11.5 for that match. They could take this game if they are clicking on all cylinders. The next battle for LGD is against Fnatic (FNC), and they are lined up as a -125 favorite with projected kills of 14.5. LGD’s third and final match of the round-robin tournament is the match they are predicted to win by a bunch, and that is against Team SoloMid (TSM), and they are a -240 favorite with a 15.5 projected kills for that match.

MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: LGD GAMING (LGD)

SECONDARY PLAY:

GEN. G ESPORTS

Gen G will be a popular stack and for a good reason, but they are not my top play. I will have a significant share of them, but I will not be going over the top with my shares.

The first matchup that they are set to play is against LGD, and they are a – 190 favorite with projected kills of 14.5. I believe this is the only game that they can possibly lose in this round-robin set, but also have the ability to take it home. This match is a coinflip, in my opinion. Gen G’s second match is going to be a bloodbath against TSM. Gen G is a -375 favorite and has a projected kills of 15.5 for that match. Their third and final match is a highly anticipated battle against Fnatic, where they are a – 195 favorite and have a 14.5 projected kills. I think Gen will go 2-1 with the potential to go 3-0, but only if they can get through LGD.

MY ESPORTS SECONDARY DFS PICK: GEN. G ESPORTS

HONORABLE MENTION:

FNATIC (FNC)

DFS FAVORITE CAPTAINS / STARS:

Kramer (LGD) (ADC)

Ruler (GEN) (ADC)

Xiye (LGD) (MID)

Bdd (GEN) (MID)

Peanut (LGD) (JNG)

LangX (LGD) (TOP)

Clid (GEN) (JNG)

Rascal (GEN) (TOP)

Rekkles (FNC) (ADC)

Nemesis (FNC) (MID)

DAMWON GAMING (DWG)

DWG is coming in their first game at -1400 favorites with projected kills of 17.5 vs. Talon. In their second match, they are a -800 favorite with projected kills of 16.5 against Rogue, and a -180 favorite against JDG with 14.5 projected kills. I believe DWG will dominate this day of the group stage and come out with a three-win and zero loss day. They are my top play overall and will have many lineups with Showmaker and Ghost as my captains.

MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: DAMWON GAMING (DWG)

SECONDARY PLAY:

JD GAMING (JDG)

JDG should come out of this round-robin day with an overall record of two wins and one loss. They are -475 favorite in their matchup with Rogue, a -800 favorite vs. Talon, and +130 underdog against DWG. Their projected kills for each game in order are16.5, 17.5, and 11.5. They have a possibility to come out 3-0 if they upset DWG. They are my second favorite play of the day, and I will have lineups with Loken and Yagao as my captains.

MY ESPORTS SECONDARY DFS PICK: JD GAMING (JDG)

TOP PLAY:

G2 ESPORTS

I believe G2 will dominate all three of their matchups. They are coming in at -335 favorites against team Liquid at 4 am, -550 favorites against Machi E-Sports at 6 am, and -120 Favorites against Suning Gaming at 9 am. My favorite plays from this game will be Perkz and Caps. G2 should be the only team that runs a three-win and zero loss day.

MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: G2 ESPORTS

SECONDARY PLAY:

TEAM LIQUID

Team Liquid should run with two out of three wins, in my opinion. They can pull any upset and are coming into the day as the underdog in two of their three games. I think TL could be a solid value play in tonights GPP’s. Coming in as +230 underdogs to G2, +230 underdogs to Suning Gaming, and -185 favorites versus Machi E-Sports. If Team Liquid pulls two out of three wins, they will be in a GPP winning lineup.

MY ESPORTS SECONDARY DFS PICK: TEAM LIQUID

DFS FAVORITE CAPTAINS / STARS:

Perkz (G2) (ADC)

Caps (G2) (MID)

Tactical (TL) (ADC)

Loken (JDG) (ADC)

LoL Matchup #1: G2 (-500) vs TL (+333)

The first matchup on the slate sees G2 taking on TL; the latter has looked abysmal throughout Worlds, plays tremendously slow, and will be in tough versus a G2 squad who holds all of the lane advantages. G2 should pounce early and often, although they may have a capped ceiling with TL seeming completely uninterested in team fights. If you are going G2, make sure to lock in Caps (MID), who is one of the best players the 2020 LoL Worlds has to offer from a DFS perspective.

Pick: G2 (-500)

LoL Matchup #2: Suning (-400) vs Machi eSports (+275)

The second matchup on the slate has a lot of potential – at times, Machi seems to be able to farm and play the long game, but they often play to their opponent’s style rather than their own. This plays right into SN’s game, who will force them to make mistakes early and often and try to get both Huanfeng (ADC) and bin (TOP) some early lane advantages. Give me the LPL favorite in a ton of GPP lineups versus a Machi team that has topped 20 or more deaths in three of four losses thus far.

Pick: Suning (-400)

LoL Matchup #3: DragonX (-400) vs FlyQuest (+275)

With NA teams playing awfully slow, DRX may have a capped ceiling to get us to the top of the leaderboards, but their prices on DK are great for cash games considering their matchup here. With Power of Evil always holding it down for his squad, he’ll be another one-man show here, but he’s in tough versus Chovy in the mid lane. With how teams have continuously picked on Solo all tournament long, tonight should be no different, which makes both Doran and Pyosik the players to target here.

Pick: DRX (-400)

LoL Matchup #4: Top eSports (-1000) vs Unicorns of Love (+550)

Lock of the slate; don’t get cute with this one. TES asserted their dominance versus DRX and played a skillful draft outside their usual style, showing just how talented they are. It starts with the infamous duo of Knight and JackeyLove, who, while are priced at the top of the grid on DK, have the highest ceilings in a matchup versus a UoL team that loves to pile up deaths and play fairly aggressively when they want to. If a slower team like DRX can have 22 kills versus UoL, just imagine what Knight (MID) and JackeyLove (ADC) will do here.

Pick: TES (-1000)

LoL Matchup #5: GenG (-250) vs Fnatic (+175)

This game lacks the appeal for our fantasy lineups in a similar fashion to DRX, but I do lean the LCK team in this one over their regional representatives. While FNC isn’t known for playing as aggressive as other teams on this slate, such as UoL and Machi, they can pile up deaths, as seen in most of their losses where they get in the 18-20 range. Lock for GenG to play through the bot lane where Ruler should have his way with Rekkles. The pricing on GenG is good enough to 4-man stack them in GPPs with the hope of topping 20+ kills; focus on Ruler (ADC) and BDD (MID) here, with an honorable mention to Clid (JNG).

Pick: GenG (-250)

LoL Matchup #6: LGD Gaming (-200) vs Team SoloMid (+150)

It’s no fun to be ending the slate with yet another favorite that we like to win, but TSM will prove to be no match for the LPL squad. Although I have no interest in stacking them a bunch in GPPs due to how slow TSM plays, LGD should come in underowned and could be a good leverage spot; they’ll get up early and can win this one on individual talent alone, but if you’re riding the Bjergsen show in the mid lane for a TSM upset with the hopes that they turn it on versus an aggressive LGD team, I can’t blame you.

Pick: LGD (-200)

With the Play-Ins now settled, we’re moving on to the League of Legends (LoL) Group Stage at Worlds 2020. We have another six matchups on tap for Day 2 with some more familiar teams for those that have been playing LoL since the beginning of the pandemic back in March, so let’s get to it:

LoL Matchup #1: Team Liquid (-250) vs Machi eSports (+175)

With PSG Talon representing the PCS fairly well in Play-Ins, the attention now turns to the champions of the region in Machi, who beat PSG in the regional finals. On the flipside, TL comes in having gone 3-1 in the Group A Play-Ins. TL has the major advantage in the mid lane and should let Jensen carry them to victory; they’ll be popular in cash, and rightfully so, because of their cheaper price tags compared to other heavy favorites, but for tournaments, I’m primarily looking to limit my lineups to a Jensen one off or pairing Tactical (ADC) with CoreJJ (SUP) because of how slow TL plays.

The Pick: TL (-250)

LoL Matchup #2: Suning (+120) vs G2 (-163)

The second matchup on the slate is the one that intrigues me the most: we get two teams that play fairly aggressively and have similar playing styles, which could lead to one of them being in the optimal LoL GPP lineup. These teams are both fairly close in first-objective rates, so when we break it down by lane advantages, I do favor the Suning side: the bot lane duo of Huanfeng/SwordArt are often overlooked in a region that features other ADCs like JackeyLove and Loken, but I do like their matchup here versus Perkz/Mikyx, in addition to bin holding the advantage in top lane over Wunder. For G2, this game comes down to how much Jankos and Caps can take over; if Jankos is roaming the jungle and diving with Wunder in top lane, bin could be in for a long match, while Caps can single-handedly carry his team. Get exposure to both sides because this game has the most potential on the slate.

G2: Caps (MID), Jankos (JNG)

SN: Huanfeng (ADC), SwordArt (SUP)

LoL Matchup #3: DAMWON Gaming (-600) vs Rogue (+350)

My pick to potentially win it all at this year’s Worlds, DWG comes in as the biggest favorite on the slate as they face off versus Rogue on Day 2. To put it simply, DWG holds all five lane advantages here, especially down the mid lane with Showmaker vs Larssen. For those that do not know already, the LEC is a region that plays much slower than the LPL and even the LCK, so look for Rogue to play the long game here and stay alive as long as they can, and I expect that to be reflected in their draft as well. There’s no denying that DWG is the top stack for cash games on this LoL slate, but their prices worry me a tad in what should be an easy win – if they can force Rogue into multiple teams fights, the usual suspects in ShowMaker and Canyon should lead the way with their 71.4% and 67% kill participation rates (KPR), respectively.

The Pick: DWG (-600)

LoL Matchup #4: JD Gaming (-600) vs PSG Talon (+350)

Don’t be worried after JDG’s loss to DWG on opening day of the Group Stage – DWG is a force and should be considered one of the favorites to win Worlds. Today, JDG has a great bounce back spot versus one of the Cinderella stories of the Play-Ins in PSG and should stomp them with ease; while PSG does hold slight advantages in all three primary objectives being first rift herald percentage, and first dragon percentage, and first baron percentage, JDG has a better first turret percentage, gold advantage, and first blood. Look for them to bounce on PSG early and often.

The Pick: JDG (-600)

LoL Matchup #5: Team SoloMid (+225) vs GenG (-300)

Another team that I like to make a deep run at the 2020 Worlds, GenG gets another soft matchup here versus an NA team in TSM. Similarly to the LEC, the LCS is played at a much slower pace than the LCK and LPL, with the LCS being the punching bag of the LoL community within the top 4 regions. GenG has the clear advantage in bot lane with Ruler/Life and should ride that out to victory, and BDD is simply too cheap for one of the best mid laners in this tournament. However, TSM does not die a ton because of how slow they play, but given GenG’s price saving over DWG, they’re also in the cash conversation, but be wary of using them in 4-man stacks in tournaments.

The Pick: GenG (-300)

LoL Matchup #6: Fnatic (-150) vs LGD Gaming (+110)

Another underdog that I like here coming from the LPL, I thought this line would be closer to even money or have LGD as the slight favorites. For LGD to win, their bot lane will have to be dominant, and I think they’ll do just that – Mark is no star, but I’ll take him over Hylissang in any matchup, and xiye has the clear advantage over Nemesis in the mid lane. LGD has proven to have upside in bloody matchups, and with FNC struggling to come back in matches where they are behind outside of their region’s weaker opponents, LGD should continue to force team fighs en route to a potential 20+ kill game here. FNC likes to attack early on as seen by their advantage in first blood percentage and early game, but LGD excels in that aspect as well and neutralizes more objectives while doing so. Give me the ‘dog here.

The Pick: LGD Gaming (+110)

Tonight we are back for League Of Legends (LOL). We are in full force with the World Championship! The World Championship is a combination of the best LOL teams in the World playing for that shot at being crowned the best in the World in a very competitive Esports competition. Tonight we have two solid matchups in what will be two best of fives series. I will give you my top two picks and plays for tonight’s battles on the rift that start at 4 am EST.

TOP PLAY:

(4:00 am) Flyquest (FLY) (Projected Kills per game 7.5) (+390) vs. Top Esports (TES) (-650) ( Projected Kills per game 18.5).

Let’s face it. Top Esports is the most dominant team in the world without question. They have had plenty of ups and downs in the recent splits, but this is by far their best split to date. TES has arguably the best MID laner and the best BOT laner in the world playing side by side with an outstanding Support player to have their backs. They continuously fight through and crush almost every team that they have faced.

TES is facing off against FLY, and I don’t see this being any different from their mid-split games. I think TES is going to jump into the rift and just obliterate Flyquest. FLY does not have any games to catch build their strategy because they are playing the best of one series. I expect TES to dominate this match from start to finish.

MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: Top Esports (TES) (-650) ( Projected Kills per game 18.5).

SECONDARY PLAY:

(8:00 am) SECONDARY PLAY: Gen G Esports (GEN) (-245) (Projected Kills per game 15.5) vs. LGD Gaming (LGD) (+175) (Projected Kills per game 9.5).

If TES wasn’t playing, GEN would be my top play. They are strategically sound and give every opponent a difficult time. Towards the end of the summer split, they started to explode with kills and completely dominated the opposition. GEN is a veteran team that can and will exploit every little mistake that a team makes.

GEN faces LGD. LGD is an up and down team with many flaws in their gameplan. They showed us that they can be beaten and can be beaten easily when they make mistakes. LGD will have no room for error against GEN, and I see them getting exploited immediately in this matchup.

MY ESPORTS SECONDARY DFS PICK: Gen G Esports (GEN) (-245) (Projected Kills per game 15.5)

HONORABLE MENTION:

(7:00 am) (Value) JDG Gaming (JDG) (+120) (Projected Kills per game 12.5)

(6:00 am) Rogue (RGE) (-200) (Projected Kills per game 15.5)

(5:00 am) Kingzone DragonX (DRX) (-345) (Projected Kills per game 16.5)

DFS FAVORITE CAPTAINS / STARS:

Knight (TES) (MID)

JackeyLove (TES) (ADC)

Ruler (GEN) (ADC)

Loken (JDG) (ADC)

BDD (GEN) (MID)

Yagao (JDG) (MID)

Hans sama (RGE) (ADC)

ShowMaker (DWG) (MID)

ESPORTS DFS SLATE SUMMARY: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

I will be building TEN ESPORTS DFS lineups. Most of my stacks will be four/three. I will prioritize using ADC and MID in my captain spot. If I can not use ADC or MID, I will use any of the other positions to build my lineups with the teams I have selected.
