*Over 2.5 Goals* – Manchester City vs Liverpool

Friday 11/6 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Normally, we only get a single game to begin the EPL Matchweek, but have a pair of them on this Friday Slate.

Both games are similar in odds, with Brighton a -113 favorite and Southampton at -108. Danny Ings is out for Southampton, leaving Neal Maupay with the highest goal scoring odds on the slate at only +118. This in itself suggests that this will be a low scoring slate.

The Brighton attack should be led by Maupay at striker with Leonadro Trossard and Adam Lallana either alongside him on the wings or behind him. Burnley should be running out a standard three man with Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes, and Dwight McNeil.

In Danny Ing’s absence, Che Adams and Shane Long should lead the line, with Theo Walcott and Nathan Redmond on the wings. I’m sort of surprised that Southampton is still a decent favorite, as Newcastle seems like the better team on paper tomorrow.

Notabe Goal Scoring Odds

Burnley at Brighton – Neal Maupay (+118), Leandro Trossard (+235), Chris Wood (+205), Ashley Barnes (+250)

Newcastle at Southampton – Callum Wilson (+170), Che Adams (+180), Shane Long (+225)

EPL Best Bet

*Under 2.5 Goals* – Either Game Listed Above

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

This is a tough slate bet wise, but if going for anything, you might as well aim for the under on either game’s total.

It is unlikely that either of these games go off with some of the lack of quality they possess offensively. If you want a hotter take, go with Newcastle to tie or win.

This article focuses on 11/1 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

Sunday 11/1 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

We are stuck waiting on the third of six Champion’s League match weeks beginning until Tuesday. However, before that, there is a a small EPL Sunday slate.

On DraftKings, it is only two games, whereas on FanDuel, they’re running three.

Everton (+105) and Manchester United (+100) are favored here, with Tottenham “FanDuel only” (-162) the biggest favorite on the slate. Everton has a lot of injury issues. Given the fact that there are a couple of expensive studs to spend up for, this value should come in handy.

All three of these teams are in very good form, providing us a number of appealing options in each price range.

Key Goal Scoring Odds

Everton at Newcastle – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (+123), Callum Wilson (+170)

Arsenal at Manchester United – Pierre Emerick-Aubemeyang (+150), Marcus Rashford (+180), Bruno Fernandes (+180), Alexandre Lacazette (+220)

Brighton at Tottenham – Harry Kane (-120), Son Heung-Min (+116), Neal Maupay (+200), Lucas Moura (+255)

EPL Best Bet

*Under 2.5 Goals – Everton/Newcastle – ML – 1.1 Units (-113 DK Sportsbook) *

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

This is a really tough slate for betting purposes. Everton will be without it’s main creative impetus James Rodriguez, attacker Richarlison, plus wing defender Lucas Digne.

Therefore, Everton will be extremely short handed. The anticipated replacements, such as Bernard and Allan, are not quite as offensive oriented. Meanwhile, Newcastle isn’t exactly an offensive powerhouse even when healthy. As a result, I don’t mind the under 2.5 total here.

11/1 EPL FanDuel Rankings

Forward/Midfield

  • 1. Harry Kane – Tottenham – $23
  • 2. Son Heung-Min – Tottenham – $22
  • 3. Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United – $19
  • 4. Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Everton – $21
  • 5. Marcus Rashford – Manchester United – $20
  • 6. Pierre Emerick-Aubemeyang – Arsenal – $19
  • 7. Callum Wilson – Newcastle – $15
  • 8. Bernard – Everton – $7
  • 9. Gylfi Sigurdsson – Everton – $12
  • 10. Daniel James – Manchester United – $10

Defense

  • 1. Niels Nkounkou – Everton – $5
  • 2. Emil Krafth – Newcastle – $10
  • 3. Adam Webster – Brighton – $9
  • 4. Joel Veltman – Brighton – $7
  • 5. Jamal Lewis – Newcastle – $8

Goalies

  1. Karl Darlow – Newcastle – $7
  2. Hugo Lloris – Tottenham – $14

11/1 EPL DraftKings Rankings

Forward

  1. Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Everton – $9,100
  2. Marcus Rashford – Manchester United – $8,300
  3. Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang – Arsenal – $7,700
  4. Callum Wilson – Newcastle – $6,800
  5. Mason Greenwood/Edinson Cavani – Manchester United – $6,700/$7,600
  6. Alexandre Lacazette – Arsenal – $8,000
  7. Willian – Arsenal – $7,800

Midfield

  • 1. Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United – $10,600
  • 2. Gylfi Sigurdsson – Everton – $5,900
  • 3. Marcus Rashford – Manchester United – $8,300
  • 4. Daniel James – Manchester United – $3,600
  • 5. Bernard – Everton – $3,200

Defense

  • 1. Niels Nkounkou – Everton – $2,500
  • 2. Emil Krafth – Newcastle – $3,100
  • 3. Just punt the rest, awful position tomorrow.

Goalies

  1. Jordan Pickford – Everton – $5,000
  2. Karl Darlow – Newcastle – $4,000

This article focuses on 10/26 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

Monday 10/26 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

There is a huge Champion’s League slate on Tuesday, but first we have a tiny two game EPL Monday Slate.

Tottenham is the biggest favorite on the slate at -180 and with their recent form, both Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min are virtually unfadeable. Outside of the two Hot Spur studs, Neal Maupay offers similar scoring odds to the pair and Matheus Pereira is a strong play as well.

This is a slate for which I would lean really heavily on the rankings below. FanDuel offers us a couple bargains in terms of pricing, as opposed to DraftKings. If you play both sites, it might be better to just play FanDuel today.

Key Goal Scoring Odds

West Brom at Brighton – Neal Maupay (-108), Leandro Trossard (+190), Callum Robinston (+295), Matheus Pereira (+420)

Tottenham at Burnley – Harry Kane (-117), Son Heung-Min (+110), Lucas Moura (+260), Chris Wood (+230), Ashley Barnes (+270)

EPL Best Bet

*Tottenham – ML – 1.2 Units (-175 FD Sportsbook, 182 DK and Bet MGM Sportsbooks) *

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

It is only a two game slate and there is simply not a whole lot to bet on. Therefore, if you do want to get some action, the Tottenham ML is probably the way to go. The Hot Spurs ended up getting snakebit last Sunday, surrendering a 3-0 lead in the final ten minutes. However, with as well as they have been playing, at least offensively, they should get back into the win column today.

10/26 EPL FanDuel Rankings

Forward/Midfield

  • 1. Harry Kane – Tottenham – $23
  • 2. Son Heung-Min – Tottenham – $22
  • 3. Matheus Pereira – West Brom – $16
  • 4. Neal Maupay – Brighton – $19
  • 5. Solly March – Brighton – $13
  • 6. Lucas Moura – Tottenham – $16
  • 7. Leandro Trossard – Brighton – $16
  • 8. Ashley Barnes – Burnley – $15
  • 9. Callum Robinson – West Brom – $18
  • 10. Johan Berg Gudmundsson – Burnley – $5

Defense

  • 1. Chris Taylor – Burnley – $9
  • 2. Adam Webster – Brighton – $9
  • 3. James Tarkowski – Burnley – $15
  • 4. Branislav Ivanovic – West Brom – $13
  • 5. Ahmed Hegazi – West Brom – $12

Goalies

  1. Hugo Lloris – Tottenham – $14
  2. Mat Ryan – Brighton – $12

10/26 EPL DraftKings Rankings

Forward

  1. Harry Kane – Tottenham – $12,100
  2. Son Heung-Min – Tottenham – $10,800
  3. Dwight McNeil – Burnley – $8,300
  4. Ashley Barnes – Burnley – $5,200
  5. Neal Maupay – Brighton – $9,100

Midfield

  • 1. Son Heung-Min – Tottenham – $10,800
  • 2. Matheus Periera – West Brom – $8,600
  • 3. Solly March – Brighton – $7,500
  • 4. Dwight McNeil – Burnley – $8,300
  • 5. Johan Berg Gudmundsson – Burnley – $4,300

Defense

  • 1. Darnell Furlong – West Brom – $4,600
  • 2. Serge Aurier – Tottenham – $5,300
  • 3. Sergio Regulion – Tottenham – $5,900
  • 4. Charlie Taylor – Burnley – $4,900
  • 5. Adam Webster – Brighton – $2,600

Goalies

  1. Hugo Lloris – Tottenham – $5,800
  2. Sam Johnstone – West Brom – $4,200

This article focuses on 10/24 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

Saturday 10/24 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

After a week filled with Champion’s League games, we are back to English Premier League play, starting at the regular 9:00 a.m. ET lock time. The slate will be spread out over three games, with one game at a time, on both sites.

Liverpool is the biggest favorite on the slate at -400 with the other games featuring teams at plus odds. As a result, Mo Salah has the highest goal scoring odds on the slate at -176 with his attacking mate Sadio Mane at -121, the only other player at minus odds.

Aside from Salah and Mane, Roberto Firmino is very cheap on DraftKings and fills a forward spot, so a cash play there. However, keep in mind he has not scored at Anfield going back quite awhile.

On the defensive side, Andy Robertson has been outplaying Trent Alexander-Arnold recently and taking corners, so he is the priority of the two Liverpool wingbacks on DraftKings at the moment. While Adrian has not been terrific in net, he did grab a clean sheet mid-week against Ajax in the Champion’s League, and is in a good spot here.

As for the remaining games, they are tossups odds-wise. However, as you can see from the rankings below, they still offer plenty of value. As far as notable goal scoring odds, a list has been added below.

Key Goal Scoring Odds

Sheffield United at Liverpool – Mohammed Salah (-176), Sadio Mane (-121), Diego Jota “if starting” (-106), Roberto Firmino (+163)

Crystal Palace at Fulham – Aleksander Mitrovic (+140), Wilfried Zaha (+200)

Chelsea at Manchester United – Timo Werner (+170), Bruno Fernandes (+188), Marcus Rashford/Christian Pulisic (+210), Mason Greenwood/Kai Havertz (+280), Hakim Ziyech (+320)

EPL Best Bet

*Liverpool/Bayern Munich ML Parlay- (-189 BET MGM), (-200 DraftKings Sportsbook), (-213 FanDuel Sportsbook)*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

With everything seemingly fairly priced and some unpredictability in regards to the Chelsea and Manchester United game, it’s time to turn elsewhere. We get much better value taking the Liverpool ML and combining it with the Bayern Munich ML. The Bavarians look practically unbeatable right now and despite any recent slippage, Liverpool has still retained solid form while playing at Anfield.

10/24 EPL FanDuel Rankings

Forward/Midfield

  • 1. Mohammed Salah – Liverpool – $22
  • 2. Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United – $19
  • 3. Sadio Mane – Liverpool – $21
  • 4. Hakim Ziyech – Chelsea – $15
  • 5. Timo Werner – Chelsea – $21
  • 6. Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace – $18
  • 7. Aleksander Mitrovic – Fulham – $17
  • 8. Christian Pulisic – Chelsea – $17
  • 9. Kai Havertz – Chelsea – $18
  • 10. Marcus Rashford – Manchester United – $20
  • 11. Andros Townsend – Crystal Palace – $14
  • 12. Mason Greenwood – Manchester United – $16
  • 13. Robert Firmino – Liverpool – $16
  • 14. Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace – $9
  • 15. Ademola Lookman – Fulham – $14

Defense

  • 1. Gary Cahill – Crystal Palace – $5
  • 2. Andy Robertson – Liverpool – $15
  • 3. Ben Chilwell – Chelsea – $15
  • 4. Tosin Adarabioyo – Fulham – $5
  • 5. Alex Telles – Manchester United – $12

Goalies

  1. Adrian – Liverpool – $14
  2. Vicente Guaita – Crystal Palace – $10
  3. Eduard Mendy – Chelsea – $8

This article focuses on 10/18 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

Sunday 10/18 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Unlike yesterday’s games, today’s slate varies between the two sites. DraftKings is only running a two game slate beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET lock whereas FanDuel will have a three game slate, with the late game featuring Aston Villa visiting Leicester City included.

Tottenham is the biggest favorite on the slate at -176 and both Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min will be huge chalk on both sites. It makes sense to build around the both of them and trying to pivot from there. Aside from the Tottenham combination, I would not do much stacking. This slate comes down to pairing the both of the aforementioned studs with the magic combination of players from the other games. Clearly on DraftKings with only one other game, the options are somewhat limited.

EPL Best Bet

West Ham (+450) at Tottenham (-176) – 11:30 AM ET – Sunday 10/18

Pick – *OVER 2.5 Goals -176 – DraftKings Sportsbook*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Tottenham has been pouring it on lately. Coach Jose Mourinho has finally been able to implement his system and the results have been showing. However, West Ham has a couple capable attackers as well. Therefore, the -176 bet on Over 2.5 Goals is ideal.

Saturday 10/3 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

This slate varies between the two sites once again. Both sites slates start at 9 a.m. ET but DraftKings is only offering the first two games, whereas FanDuel’s slate is featuring all three. This is becoming customary at this point.

The middle game between Manchester City and Leeds United “more on this below under best bets” will be the most popular. It has the highest total, includes all of the chalky, expensive Manchester City players, as well as a bunch of value from Leeds United. Both sites showed Manchester City’s defense a ton of unmerited respect by pricing Leeds United down so much.

Gabriel Jesus remains out for Manchester City, as well as Sergio Aguero. Riyad Mahrez should lead the line once again, with Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, and Phil Foden supporting him in the attack. In terms of ownership, KDB, followed by Mahrez, followed by Sterling, should be the most popular players on the slate.

Beyond Manchester City and Leeds United

The first game presents some potential pivots from Everton. I expect Lucas Digne to be rightfully highly owned at a weak defender position on DraftKings. James Rodriguez has made Everton into a much better team. It looks like Richarlison will be out for this game, after twisting his ankle mid-week. As a result, Rodriguez and the absolutely red hot Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be the main plays in the attack. They represent contrarian pivots from the Manchester City forwards.

On the other side of this game, Neal Maupay and Leandro Trossard have been quietly very good so far this season. However, keep in mind they will be on the road at Everton and this is not a spot with a ton of upside. Therefore, I would limit them to low money entries in larger field tournaments, just for ownership edge on a small slate.

The final game is FanDuel only and it should be low scoring. More than anything we will want to roster goalies. If mass multi entering, you will probably want to hedge both sides, hoping that one of the two goaltenders grabs a clean sheet win and caps off your tournament victory. You can also use the defensemen as you wish. At only $7, in a game with fairly even odds, I expect last year’s highest scoring goaltender Nick Pope to be extremely popular.

EPL Best Bets

Manchester City (-295) at Leeds United (+750) – 12:30 PM ET – Saturday 10/3

Picks – *OVER 3.5 Goals -106 – FanDuel Sportsbook, OVER 2.5 Goals – -286 – DraftKings Sportsbook*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Leeds United has been extremely defensively challenged to start off the season. Two of their three games have been a 4-3 away loss at Liverpool and a 4-3 win away at Fulham. Their coach has been adamant that they would not try to adapt their open play style any time soon. That could prove to be a disaster against a team that can pour it on like Manchester City.

On the flip side, Manchester City has had plenty of defensive woes of their own. They are coming off a humiliating 5-2 home loss at the hands of Leicester City. They gave up a hat trick to Jamie Vardy and generally looked lost and confused all game.

Nathan Ake was brought in from recently relegated Bournemouth to make an impact at center back. However, he has not been able to make a huge difference aside from his goal off a corner kick last week. Manchester City has been missing his counter part Aymeric Laporte, who should finally start alongside Ake for this game. Nevertheless, I think Leeds United will be able to score at least a goal or two here, as Manchester City tries to work out their defensive kinks and figure things out.

Sunday 9/27 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Today’s slate varies between the two sites. Both sites slates start at 9 a.m. ET but DraftKings is only offering the first two games, whereas FanDuel’s slate is featuring all three.

The first two games will be the most popular on FanDuel either way. Manchester City hosts Leicester City and Tottenham hosts Newcastle and both teams should be extremely chalky.

Gabriel Jesus will be out for Manchester City after picking up an injury that should keep him for out for awhile. With Sergio Aguero still out, expect Riyad Mahrez to get bumped into the starting lineup. As for the Leicester side in that game, James Maddison started mid week and may not be ready to start back to back games.

EPL Best Bet

Wolves (+105) at West Ham (+280) – 2:00 PM ET – Sunday 9/27

Picks I like – *WOLVES – ML – +105*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Wolves came up short last weekend against Manchester City, but also deserved better than the 3-1 final score would reflect. They will face a far less imposing opponent this weekend. West Ham has struggled at home over the last couple of years, setting up a perfect storm.

Given the plus odds on a Wolves away victory, I like the Wolves money line. Defensively, they should be able to handle whatever West Ham throws at them.

Monday 9/21 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Today’s slate is a two gamer with the later game the featured matchup of the two. It all begins with Sheffield United making the trip to Aston Villa and after that, we have title contender Manchester City travelling to Wolves.

Last season, Man City was swept by Wolves so they will look to avoid a third consecutive upset. For Man City, it is important to get the campaign started on a high note, as they look to regain the championship after an off year by their standards. Liverpool still looks susceptible as some poor form has carried over from the second half of last season and Chelsea is experiencing growing pains. Therefore, Man City stands out as an early favorite.

As for Wolves, it was a big week as they sent forward Diego Jota to Liverpool for $45 million. Their main man Raul Jimenez will continue with the likes of Pedro Neto, Daniel Podence, and Adama Traore, as his support in the attack.

Man City will be the chalk for DFS without a shadow of a doubt. Therefore, between that and the fact that Man City is expensive, Wolves stacks or mini stacks are definitely in play on both sites. The first game should have lower ownership but for a reason, as the projected total is over a goal lower. Furthermore, there are few appealing options in either attack outside a couple of Aston Villa players.

EPL Best Bet

Manchester City (-195) at Wolves (+540) – 3:15 PM ET – Monday 9/21

Picks I like – *Manchester City ML (-195), Draw (+340) and if feeling frisky, Manchester City to win both halves DK Sportsbook Odds Boost +350*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Wolves have won two straight against Man City but hard to imagine their dominance against them continues. However, it is worth noting that the Citizens might be a little bit rusty, as they have not played in nearly a month.

However, the addition of Nathan Ake gives them a top notch defensive piece they could’ve surely used last year. It is unfortunate for them, their other dependable center back Aymeric Laporte will be out.

You can always hedge this bet with some Wolves DFS wise as Man City is still as priced up there as they would normally be in a better spot. Meanwhile, Wolves are basically free on both sites.

It is rare that we see Man City with longer odds than a -200 against a “non-elite” team, but people are buying into the recent narrative. However, I doubt that Wolves win here once again. I either see a Man City win or a draw. This game is way too important for City. Last time out against Wolves, they had an early red card and were also already pretty much eliminated from title contention. Things should be a little different this time out.

This article focuses on 9/19 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

Saturday 9/19 EPL Slate “Matchweek 2/38”

We are back for Matchweek Two, and this slates features three decent home favorites in Manchester United, Arsenal, and Leeds United.

Manchester United is the biggest favorite on the slate at -335, hosting Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Aside from a possible appearance from recent signing from Ajax, Donny Van De Beek, most of the lineup is unchanged from last season. This is a Manchester United team that made a lot of strides over the second half of last year. Particularly after the Bruno Fernandes signing, as he helped to fill the playmaking void this team previously lacked. There is not a lot of DFS goodness for Manchester United aside from the attack, but Bruno, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial should all be popular.

Arsenal comes in next at -200 hosting West Ham, coming off a humiliating home loss to Newcastle. Their big addition over the off season was Willian, formerly of Chelsea. Arsenal are hoping that he can help fill the role of facilitator, helping to feed the likes of Pierre Emerick-Aubemeyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and youngster Eddie Nkietah. The former two are likely to start alongside Willian and Aubemeyang has the slates highest scoring odds at -152. Therefore, you can expect to see a lot of PEA on both sites as he is likely the most popular forward option.

EPL Best Bet

Fulham (+475) at Leeds United (-162) – Over 3 Goals (-110) – 10:00 AM ET – Saturday 9/19 – *LEEDS UNITED*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

You can certainly roll with another one of the two favorites mentioned above, Manchester United -335 and Arsenal at -200. However, we get a little bit more juice odds wise pivoting from them with Leeds United.

Leeds had beat up Fulham 3-0 at home last season down in the second division. After a strong showing against Liverpool, they should be able to take care of business here. Furthermore, they have an extremely strong record over the last two years against teams they are favored against. Nonetheless, I think they get overlooked by bettors and DFS players alike, in favor of the more familiar faces.
