Sunday Night NBA DFS Positional Breakdown with BCW

The first Sunday Night NBA DFS Positional Breakdown of 2020 has three games to work with. With the Lakers being a part of the ticket, the percentage of Anthony Davis and LeBron James users will be high.

1/5 NBA DFS Point Guard

  1. Shabazz Napier ($5600): Napier is averaging 14.1 points, 5.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals in seven games as a starter. Jeff Teague remains out, so look for Napier to put up exceptional numbers against a Cavaliers defense ranked 25th in Fantasy points per game allowed to opposing PGs and 29th in defensive rating. Note: Teague is available, so take the expectations down on Napier.
  2. Ricky Rubio ($7300): Like Napier, he gets a lackluster defense to light up. The Suns get a Grizzlies defense that is 26th in both defensive rating and assists allowed per game.
  3. Ja Morant ($6200): Solid in his first two meetings against the Suns, averaging 18.5 points, 6.5 assists, 3.5 boards a steal. His usage rate stands at 28% and will probably play higher than that tonight.
  4. Collin Sexton ($4500): A strong value play tonight. Sexton is averaging 20.2 points in his last 10 games and will welcome playing a higher pace against the uptempo Timberwolves.

1/5 NBA DFS Shooting Guard

  1. Devin Booker ($8400): Easily the best play at a thin position tonight. Booker is a must in most lineups considering the Grizzlies are 27th in scoring defense at 116.5 points.
  2. Dillon Brooks ($4600): Told ya it was thin.
  3. Bruce Brown ($4900): Likely comes off the bench again as the Pistons have started Svi Mykhailuk in place of injured regular Luke Kennard.
  4. Danny Green ($3800): I wouldn’t count on another 44.5 FDP night like he put up on Friday, but as thin as the options are tonight, he’s a good pivot if you want to spend money elsewhere. Note: Andrew Wiggins is available tonight.

1/5 NBA DFS Small Forward

  1. LeBron James ($10,900) Anchor: If this needs explanation, you’ve come to the wrong website.
  2. Kelly Oubre ($7600): Has averaged 47.67 FDP in his last four games. Great pivot off James if you’re looking to load up at PF and/or C.
  3. Jarrett Culver ($4500): Doesn’t look like Minnesota will have Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Teague again, so Culver will be a good value up against the Cavs, who are 29th in Fantasy points allowed per game against opposing SFs. He’ll have SG eligibility at DraftKings.
  4. Jae Crowder ($4300): Watch his ownership rise after surprising the heck out of everyone with a 64.1 FDP performance on Saturday. Wouldn’t count on a repeat but I can see 30-35 on the Suns.

1/5 NBA DFS Power Forward

  1. Anthony Davis ($10,600) Anchor: There’s an “either/or” feel with Davis and James. One of my lineups will have LBJ, with Davis anchoring at least one.
  2. Robert Covington ($5700): Combination of Kevin Love sitting out (load management) and injuries across the board in Minnesota means Covington should eat hearty against Cleveland.
  3. Jaren Jackson ($6500): Grizzlies are third in pace and Jackson, who had 41.7 FDP on Saturday, should have ample usage against the Suns, who are ninth in pace.
  4. John Henson ($3600): Interesting punt play here, as the Cavs are without both Love and Larry Nance.

1/5 NBA DFS Center

  1. Deandre Ayton ($7500): Hasn’t had a monster game since his return, but consecutive double-doubles are a sign that game is coming sooner than later, like tonight.
  2. Andre Drummond ($9700): Not feeling it with Drummond tonight, which is to say I don’t think he’ll deliver a positive return on investment.
  3. Jonas Valanciunas ($6700): Safe, reliable play with nine games of at least 30 FDP in his last 10 games.
  4. Gorgui Dieng ($6300): Sleeper. Cavs could be without Tristan Thompson, which means Dieng could give you 40 FDP on the cheap.
