RSM Classic Ownership Projections
Greetings all you golf fans with Masters hangovers, I hope you’re ready for my RSM Classic Ownership Projections. Last week in my article I mentioned DJ’s ownership at the time of my report was over 31%, maybe to hit 35% by lock. He ended up at 34.8%. I also mentioned he was a fade for me because his odds to be on the optimal lineup were less than his ownership, which is a DFS Bible fade. Most of the time. I play GPP only, and use contrarian algorithms to gain leverage on the field. All day Thursday and most of Friday my DK page was exactly this:
I was way ahead of the field until DJ tied for the lead late Friday, my 100K went down to 20K, and I thought okay, I’ve still got the weekend. DJ shot -7 on Saturday and I had a small memorial service for all my entry fees without DJ.
I can do this simply because I’ve been playing 5 years and all my entry fees are courtesy of DraftKings winnings, I’m still playing with house money. I realize some of you may not be playing 40 teams or entering high dollar contests, which is absolutely ok, that’s exactly how I started, playing one 3.00 team a week every week until I started hitting. I’m going to change up my format in the hopes that it helps a bit more. My picks will be of solid plays for GPP, followed by the more risky ones which I will note, that allows you to gauge your risk better. My out in left field play made the cut for the 5th straight time, I mention that as I bow to the almighty Sia, who’s Secret Weapon (dun dun dun) hit again for the 22nd out of 24th times, guys that’s 92%. If you hit those numbers all your life, you would get promotions every week at your job, your kids would all be lottery picks in the NBA, everyone would love you and you’d never get more than 1, or maybe 2 wives, not at the same time though. That’s what 92% feels like.
I’d also like to welcome back Isaiah, he’s one of our top golf contributors, he just finished a course that allows him to drive and transport nuclear weapons, highly explosive gas, and other things that go boom. There is no truth to the rumor that he emailed all the golfers on his team with his new driver info, and then showed them their driving itinerary to and from the course.
NOTE: Hickok, Haas and Norlander all out due to Covid.
This week feels a little like last week in that Webb Simpson is at 36.6% ownership (wow) and his odds to be on the winning lineup are 35%, which is very close to even. Let’s take a look at the RSM Classic Ownership Projections to see how we can get ahead of the field, and get big green screens by Sunday!
Webb leads the field at 36.6% +, I will have him on a few teams, fewer than originally planned. The next grouping is much lower and much tighter. Doc Redman, Harold Varner lll, and Sebastian Munoz are all within a fraction of 18.5% at this time, and may be 20% by lock. Tyrell Hatton is 17.5%, Harris English is 17.3%, Denny McCarthy is 16.9%, Corey Conners is 16.7%, Kevin Kisner is 16.3% and I will have shares of him. Brian Harmon is at 15.8%, he lives at Sea Isle, I will have shares of him. Russel Henley is 15.2%, I like him as well. Joaquin Niemann is 14.92% and a pass for me. Matthew Fitzpatrick is 13.6%, Talor Gooch is 12.7%, Louis Oosthuizen is 12.5%, Sungjae IM is 12%, he doesn’t live at Sea Isle, he stays in hotels with his mom, I’m actually scared to even comment on that, Zach Johnson and Justin Rose are 11.7%, Joel Dahmen is 10.7%, Matt Kuchar is 10.4%, Jason Kokrak and Mackenzie Hughes are 10.1%.
Golfers Under 10% Ownership:
Sepp Straka is 9.6%, I’ll have shares of him, Ian Poulter is 9.5%, Brendan Todd and Shane Lowry are 8.8%, I like Todd. Kevin Streelman is 8.4%, Austin Cook is 8.3% and an industry darling. JT Poston is 8.2%, Russel Knox is 6.4%, Peter Malnati is 6%, sneaky okay play, risky. Cameron Davis is 5.9%, CT Pan is 5.8%, Tommy Fleetwood is 5.7%, Matthew NeSmith is 5.6%, Chez Reavie is 5%.
Gophers Under 5% Ownership:
(Just seeing if your paying attention, no one cares how many gophers are owned) Stewart Cink is 4.9%, James Hahn is 4.8%, Aaron Wise and Dylan Frittelli are 4.7%, Matt Wallace is 4.5%, Charles Howell lll is 4.4%, Will Gordon is 4.1%, Harry Higgs, all of Harry Higgs, and Maverick McNealy are 4% along with Jason Day. Tyler Duncan and Alex Noren are 3.4%, Patton Kizzire is 3.2%, Henrik Stenson and Doug Gihm, a favorite of Sia’s, are 3.1%, Adam Long is 3%, Emiliano Grillo and Scott Pierce are 2.8%, Brandt Snedeker is 2.5%, Martin Laird is 2.4%, Adam Hadwin is 2.2% and a sleeper, risky, Patrick Rodgers and Wyndham Clark are 2.1%.
Golfers Under 2% Ownership
David Hearn, Kristoffer Ventura, and Michael Gligic are 1.9%, Vaughn Taylor and Adam Schenk are 1.8%, Lucas Glover and Luke List are 1.6%, Cameron Tringale, Andy Sullivan, Charlie Hoffman and Keegan Bradley are 1.5%, Chesson Hadley and Charl Schwartzel are 1.4%, Graeme McDowell and Bernd Weisberger are 1.2%, Tom Hoge is 1.1%.
At the time of this report, all other golfers were currently at less than 1% ownership.
Picks: High End Safer Plays:
Webb Simpson, highest % to make the top team
Doc Redman, HV lll, Hatton and McCarthy
Guys these are all safer plays, and highly owned, they are heavy chalk.
Mid Range Safer Plays:
Kisner, Conner, Munoz, Oosti
Again, safer and chalky
Low Owned Plays:
Poulter, Kuchar, Dahmen,
Not as chalky, decent value plays
Out in Left Field: my out in left pick is James Hahn, he is 6900, 4.8% owned, a good value play, I’m going for 6 in a row.
RISKY RISKY FRISKY BISCUIT plays:
Only someone insane would play these, you know…… crazy like a Fox.
CT Pan, Patton Kizzire, Danny Willett, Lee Westwood
Guys thanks so much for reviewing our RSM Classic Ownership Projections, brought to you courtesy of Win Daily Sports. We appreciate you. I will be in Discord after this is published by our pre-pubescent wonder kid Michael (can you believe he’s only 14?) to answer any questions on ownership, roster construction, leverage, player to player stats and also any inside info which may benefit you. Please review all of Sia’s, Antonio’s, Patrick’s, (when he’s not chasing Morikawa memorabilia) and Isaiah’s and my articles, and if you haven’t, check out Michael, Sia and Joel’s live stream on the RSM, it’s where Stix Pix went and listened, then won $50 thousand at the Masters, and Sia listened to himself, and won $7 thousand at the Masters. Congrats to all of you who had a green screen weekend, now, let’s get more !
As always, I hope to be with you, in the money !
