Quaker State 400 DRAFTKINGS DFS PREVIEW

Quaker State 400 DRAFTKINGS DFS PREVIEW

Finally, we are back at an intermediate track. Dominator points are back in play and make the loading up of the place differential drivers not as practical in multi-entry contests as on larger tracks with fewer laps. let’s dive into the rankings.

TOP TIER

Kyle Busch $10,100 How much does clean air make up for a driver clearly feeling ill effects from the lack of practice? This race will provide that answer. Kyle starts up front and will see heavy ownership. No active driver holds a better rating at any track than Kyle does here at Kentucky. Kyle will need to lead some laps but I believe he will and look for him to hit value this week.

Denny Hamlin $10,900 Hamlin was mere laps away from a series leading 5th win last week before hitting the wall and seeing Harvick steal away the win. Nobody has unloaded and raced nearly as well as Hamlin and Harvick and as long as the series keeps this schedule, I expect to see that continue.

Also consider: Elliott(gpp), Harvick(gpp), Bell(cash or gpp)

MID TIER

Ryan Blaney $9,800 Blaney has run very well on intermediate tracks and starts 11th with winning potential. He is a very solid cash play.

Clint Bowyer $9,400 Bowyer starts 15th with a driver rating that plants him firmly in the top 10. Solid, not spectacular but value should not be hard to come by with lower ownership than other names in his range making him an intriguing gpp play.

Jimmie Johnson $8,800 JJ starting 20th will find his way into a large portion of my lineups. I believe Hendrick has put some of the best intermediate track cars out this year as I will mention more in Alex Bowman’s write-up. Cash and GPP play.

Kurt Busch $7,600 Last year’s winner certainly deserves mention yet again this year. While strictly a gpp play, he has shown to be able to get up on the wheel and run up front on occasion post pandemic. Finishing top 10 with top 3-5 potential regardless of starting spot is good value at his price.

Also consider: Brad Keselowski (gpp), Tyler Reddick (both), Erik Jones (both), Martin Truex Jr

PUNT TIER ($7,500 and below

Alex Bowman $7,400 Nobody has seen their stock fall with the larger tracks than the driver of the 88 Chevrolet. However, as mentioned we are now back at an intermediate track and Bowman was one of the best at those tracks. Kentucky is comparable to Charlotte which Bowman absolutely dominated for 2 races. I like Bowman as a fantastic gpp play.

Daniel Suarez $6,400 gpp

Michael McDowell $5,700 cash

Ryan Preece $6,300 cash

Cole Custer $6,900 gpp

Ryan Newman $6,100 both

Ty Dillon $6,700 both

Austin Dillon $6,500 gpp
