PrizePicks NHL Picks
Connor McDavid/Leon Draisaitl – Goals – .5
Similar to the other night, we have a dilemma. The only 2 guys available tonight for the goal prop are McDavid and Draisaitl. Both guys can score in any type of environment. While I picked Draisaitl on Wednesday, I’m going with McDavid tonight.
McDavid is heating up and I want every part of it. He now has goals in back-to-back games I can see him making it 3 in a row tonight against a Blues team that gave up 3.5 goals per game in March. This takes nothing away from Draisaitl as he seemingly scores a goal in just about every game, I just think that McDavid has the better odds tonight.
Juuse Saros – 2.5 Goals Allowed – Over
While he played great the other night vs. the Senators, it was also against the same Senators team that scored just 2.4 goals per game in March. If we look past that one game, Saros has really been struggling recently. Prior to that game, he gave up at least 3 goals per game in 6 of his last 7. The Sabres have shown the ability to score some goals in bunches at times and I think tonight, at home, will be one of those nights. Look for them to get their 3 goals tonight and for this game to be a shootout.
Anthony Stolarz – 2.5 Goals Allowed – Under
Stolarz is expected to be in net tonight vs. the Coyotes after being out for a couple of weeks. This team is a tale of two very different teams depending on who is in the net. Gibson has been absolutely awful this season. Stolarz on the other hand has actually been decent. While he hasn’t played in a couple of weeks, prior to going out he was playing pretty decently.
Although there’s always a chance for rust, he’s also very well rested going into a matchup against a Coyotes team that is shooting blanks recently. If we look past the game against the Sharks (anyone can score against the Sharks), the Coyotes had been averaging just 2 goals a game since early March. This is a good spot for the return of Stolarz. I’m taking the under on PrizePicks tonight.
Jacob Trouba – 2.0 Shots on Goal – Over
This is one of my favorite props from PrizePicks tonight. The Islanders have been giving up a ton of shots since the start of March, more than 36 per game to be exact. Over their last 5 games, Kreider and Trouba have 17 and 16 shots respectively. The difference though between the two is that Trouba’s prop is a whole shot less than Kreider’s. With how much Trouba has been shooting the puck of late, this is one that he should hit with ease. Love the Over here.
PrizePicks Summary
I should preface this by saying that PrizePicks gave us some really tough ones tonight. Nothing really stands out to me as an absolute must-play. That said, this is a really fun-looking slate and has the potential to have some high-scoring games.
Whether it’s for PrizePicks or DFS, make sure you’re reading all of our great NHL content.
Good luck and hope to see some green bars tonight!
