We have an eight game slate on a Friday night with some teams playing their first game today, I’m looking at you, Dallas. Some of these games are rematches of what we saw two nights ago, and others are brand new match-ups. Let’s dig into the 1/22 NHL DFS Top Plays.
Toronto vs Edmonton was kind of a let down on Wednesday, ownership will likely move off of that game slightly, but it’s still a great spot to be. Washington vs Buffalo will be high paced, but the Capitals are without a few big names, Ovechkin included. The Rangers and the Penguins play in what should also be a high paced game, and the Penguins just lost another two defenders. Fire up Z-man!
Colorado will be a major play tonight. Mackinnon is red hot and you can lock him in. It typically ends up as either Landeskog or Rantanen on the assists, so you can typically fade both and just stick with Mackinnon.
1/22/2021 Favorite Stacks
- Toronto Maple Leafs Line 1 – Jimmy Vesey, Auston Matthews, and Mitch Marner. With no old man Joe on the first line due to injury, Vesey is supposed to step in. He’s very cheap on both sites, and playing next to Matthews and Marner is sure to bring out the best in him.
- Pittsburgh Penguins Line 1 – Crosby, Guentzel, and Kapanen. The acquisition of Kapanen from Toronto is one to bring speed to the Crosby line. In a game that will be insanely high paced, this line scores twice tonight, and is a good line to have in GPPs. Sid has been on fire, and looks to continue that tonight.
- New York Rangers Line 1 – Zibajenad, Kreider, Buchnevich – It’s odd that I look to mention two lines from the same game, but the Penguins can’t defend. It doesn’t matter who is in goal, 4+ goals a game isn’t healthy, and they just lost two more D-Man in Pettersson and Riikola. That means Ceci slots back in, (Yikes) and P.O. Joseph will be in, and this line can feast.
- Tom Wilson $5,100
- Kirill Kaprizov $4,900
- Reilly Smith $4,800
- Tom Wilson $4,800
- Filip Zadina $4,200
- Pierre-Olivier Joseph $2,500
