Welcome to April and the final push for the NHL playoffs! Tonight gives us a huge 11 game slate with a ton of options. Let’s find the best NHL DFS plays for DraftKings and FanDuel. Good luck!
Goalies
Alexandar Georgiev – Colorado Avalanche: The Avs are in a really good spot tonight, and Georgiev should have a decent night against the Sharks.
Joonas Korpisalo – Los Angeles Kings: The Kings host the Oilers tonight, which seems on the surface like it’s a bad idea to play Korpi. However, the Kings have been solid on defense, and Korpisalo has some very good looking numbers. There will be a ton of shot volume tonight, which is great for upside.
Collin Delia – Vancouver Canucks: The Canucks take on the Kraken tonight, and this is a solid matchup for Delia. He should see a decent amount of shots, and has a good chance at a win.
High Risk Goalie Pick – Devon Levi – Buffalo Sabres: This is the just about the most risk you can take on a slate, playing a young goalie on the road against Florida. However, there will be a ton of shot volume, and in a small sample, Levi’s numbers look pretty good. It’s worth a shot in a deep GPP. If you do go here, you have to be okay with fading Florida in that lineup.

Lines to Build Around
These NHL DFS lines are considered top plays for the night and can be considered the focal point of your builds. They will be listed by position in the following order: Center/Winger/Winger/Correlating Defenseman (if applicable).
Colorado Avalanche 1 – Nathan MacKinnon/Mikko Rantanen/Valeri Nichushkin/Cale Makar: This top line is in a great, great spot tonight, and should be a priority against a poor Sharks defense. They should be matched up against the second line, which is a very nice opportunity.
Florida Panthers 1 – Aleksander Barkov/Carter Verhaeghe/Anthony Duclair/Brandon Montour: The top line for Florida gets a really nice matchup against the top line for the Sabres. That Sabres top line is not good on defense, and this line should see a ton of opportunity tonight. You can mix and match with some Tkachuk and Reinhart here to make it a power play look if you prefer. Remember not to play these guys against Levi in any lineups.
Toronto Maple Leafs 2 – John Tavares/Mitch Marner/William Nylander/Morgan Rielly: The Leafs second line is in a very nice spot against the top six for the Blue Jackets and a rookie goalie. They should see a lot of chances and should probably be chalky. However, they are well worth the play tonight.
High Risk Lines
These are NHL DFS plays that carry significantly more risk, but could pay off at low ownership. They will be listed by position in the following order: Center/Winger/Winger/Correlating Defenseman (if applicable).
Carolina Hurricanes 2 – Jesper Kotkaniemi/Jesse Puljujarvi/Stefan Noesen: This is a good spot for the second line for the Canes tonight against Ottawa, who has been giving up a decent amount of chances. This line hasn’t been a scoring machine, so they run some risk, but have a chance to change that a bit tonight.
Montreal Canadiens 2 – Jake Evans/Mike Hoffman/Brendan Gallagher: This is not a sexy play by any means, but it should be some really good value, as the second line for the Canadiens takes on the second line for the Red Wings.
Los Angeles Kings 2 – Phillip Danault/Viktor Arvidsson/Trevor Moore: The second Kings line has a date with the Draisaitl line for Edmonton, and that is a surprisingly good matchup. EDM2 is not very good on defense, and this line should see them all night long.
Vegas Golden Knights 1 – Jack Eichel/Jonathan Marchessault/Ivan Barbashev/Alex Pietrangelo: The top line for the Knights should see the third line for the Predators tonight in a plus matchup. There should be some good chances for this line to light the lamp.
Philadelphia Flyers 1 – Morgan Frost/Travis Konecny/Owen Tippett: The Flyers top line should see the Blues top line in a really good matchup tonight. They will likely be overlooked, and have a ton of potential upside.
NHL DFS Honorable Mentions: CGY1, EDMPP, OTT2, NJD1, STL2, SEA3, VANPP
