This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 11/27 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Both sites have fairly different scoring formats, particularly with the recent changes on DraftKings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. BE SURE to double-check both regular and power play lines at both morning skate and before lock as they can drastically change from the time of publication.

Top Four Lines
Washington One – Alex Ovechkin “Core”, John Carlson “Core”, Evgeny Kuznetsov “Core”, Tom Wilson, Lars Eller “Power Play”
Javi might not like to admit it but the Florida Panthers have allowed their fair share of goals this season “89 total”. In fact, they have also allowed at least four goals in each of their last three games. Florida should be likely to give up a few again in what should turn out to be a shootout in Washington. Ovie and John Carlson are expensive but are offering a floor due to their ability to routinely rack up bonuses in DraftKing’s scoring format. They remain strong plays on FanDuel despite the lack of that added boost. From there I would add Evgeny Kuznetsov. If trying to go ALL CAPS in tournaments, with Nicklas Backstrom out, we can look to Tom Wilson or Lars Eller to provide us a discount with more potential production than Backstrom provides when healthy.
Toronto One – Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Andreas Johnsson
It has been a while since this line has appeared in the Hot Shot, as Toronto has suffered a coaching change alongside a number of woes. However, perhaps this is where things start to turn around after two straight wins, as they come in projected for a slate high 3.88 goals. The Leafs will travel to face a Detroit team that has dropped six straight games and has allowed a league-high 98 goals. Unlike the Toronto second line, all three of the aforementioned skaters get power play time. This line is also very affordable on both sites.
Colorado One – Nathan McKinnon, Andre Burakovsky, Joonas Donskoi, Cale Makar “Powerplay Add-On”
While not to be mistaken for Gabe Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen, Nathan McKinnon’s new linemates have done an adequate job filling in. Last time they faced the Oilers, Edmonton ended up getting the better of the Avs. However, they will look to even the score back on home ice. Much like the Toronto line above, you really just have to pay up at the center and the other two skaters are fairly cheap. All three also share a correlation on the first power-play unit. If aiming to attack the power play specifically, Cale Makar makes for an ideal addition to the stack. I like his price better on FanDuel than on DraftKings.
San Jose Two – Tomas Hertl, Timo Meier, Barclay Goodrow – Large Field GPP
If Tomas Hertl does not return I like this line a lot less so that will something to monitor at the morning skate. However, they would still be viable on DraftKings where you can use Barclay Goodrow at the center, and pivot it the utility spot to either Kevin Labanc or someone else if Hertl is out after lock. San Jose Two makes for an ideal value stack to be able to add alongside some of the slate’s heavyweights. Connor Hellebuyck has been solid in net lately, which gives me some hesitation and I would restrict this to larger field GPPs. Nevertheless, this line should be low owned and has tournament-winning upside.

11/27 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!
David Pastrnak – Over 6.5 Fantasy Points – Pasta’s bowl is full right now, as is coming off a hat trick against the Canadiens. Let’s just lock him in before Monkey Knight Fight removes him from the pool again.
John Carlson – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points – This seems like a bit of a discount in terms of expectation for John Carlson. Particularly considering the fact that Carlson has been far and away from the most productive offensive defenseman in the NHL so far this season.
