Welcome Back Everyone! Tonights main slate on DraftKings has a total of 6 games and the first NBA match-up tips off at 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time. There aren’t a lot of value plays on the slate tonight; which means there isn’t much margin for error with your lineups. This article breaks down some of my favorite plays for tonights slate. As always, Good luck!

Top PG Picks:
Spencer Dinwiddie – DK: ($8,700)
With Irving and Lavert still sidelined with injuries, Dinwiddie continues to be a great source of fantasy production each night. He has recorded at least 38 points on DraftKings in nine out of his last ten games. One thing to note is his price on DraftKings is the highest it’s been all season long. However, he’s still a lot more affordable than guys like Doncic and Beal. Dinwiddie will be taking on New York tonight. He is currently averaging 25 points per game against them through two match-ups this year. Look for him to have a floor of 38 fantasy points on DraftKings tonight.
De’Aaron Fox – DK: ($7,000)
Fox is officially back in my playbook now that he appears to be fully healed from the injury. He’s now logged at least 30 minutes of playing time in three out of his last four games. During that same span, he has recorded at least 37 points on FanDuel three times as well. He draws a very exploitable match-up tonight against Minnesota who is ranked 22nd in the NBA against opposing PG’s. Look for Fox to have a floor of 32 fantasy points tonight.
Elfrid Payton – DK: ($5,300)
Payton has been a diamond in the rough for New York this season. Although he seems to be the ‘pass-first’ type of player at the moment, that will likely change on a game to game basis. The good news is he has played at least 27 minutes in each of his last two games while recording 30+ fantasy points in both games. He seems to be the favorite at the moment and that’s not likely going to change tonight. If he sees around 30 minutes of playing time tonight, he has a great chance of returning some big value. Look for him to have a floor of 25 fantasy points tonight.
Top SG Picks:
Bradley Beal – DK: ($9,900)
It’s almost impossible for me to not play Beal tonight in DFS. Washington is missing half of their team and Beal is the equivalent to a 1 man show. On the 23rd of December, Washington played New York and Beal threw up a whopping 38 shots from the field. On the contrary, he only made 13 of those shots and was outproduced by teammates Troy Brown and Gary Payton. At the end of the day, if anyone is going to be taking near 30 shots in a game, I want him on my team. Especially if it’s a knockdown shooter like Beal against an okay Detroit Pistons defense that can be susceptible to high scoring games.
Shai Gilgeous Alexander – DK: ($6,700)
Gilgeous Alexander continues to play at a very high level for OKC and that shouldn’t change at all moving forward. It’s safe to say that he 100% has the green light. As he just dropped 32 points on 25 shots against a very good Clippers team. Tonight he takes on the Memphis Grizzlies for the second time this season. In the first match-up, Alexander put up 40.3 fantasy points on DraftKings. Memphis may have a middling defense, but I am definitely going to give Gilgeous-Alexander the nod here. He should have a floor of 35 fantasy points during tonight’s main NBA slate.
Derrick Rose – DK: ($6,400)
Rose is one of my favorite plays at the PG position for tonight’s NBA slate. Detroit has already ruled out Luke Kennard and they might also be with Bruce Brown Jr. If that is the case, then Rose will most likely see 30+ minutes tonight. Blake Griffin has been horrible for Detroit so far this season which led to Rose shouldering more of the scoring load this season. Detroit is ranked 28th in the NBA against opposing PG’s so look for Rose to have a floor of 32 fantasy points on DraftKings.
Top SF Picks:
DeMar DeRozan – DK: ($6,500)
DeRozan makes for an interesting play because of how low his price-tag is. He is currently priced just $300 more than Troy Brown who is coming off a monster game. But we will get to him in a second. DeRozan can be a very spotty DFS play given his ups and downs this season. However, he has a decent match-up against Dallas who Derozan torched earlier in the season when he went for 53 fantasy points on DraftKings. On the contrary, I have been burned by DeRozan a few times in the past where he was in a good spot but failed to hit value. I’ll definitely be taking him in a few lineups because if he hit’s a ceiling game tonight, you won’t want to miss it.
Troy Brown – DK: ($6,200)
Brown made everyone uncomfortable on Christmas day because of the way the Wizards like to play him. They like him coming off the bench and going up against other benches. Especially right now given Washington is missing half of their team to the injury bug. They need someone who can come in off the bench and help carry the offensive load. Do I wish he was a starter? Absolutely. Will I play him anyway tonight? absolutely. Brown has played Detroit twice this season and has a fantasy output of 31 points per game against them.
Joe Ingles – DK: ($6,200)
Ingles continues to thrive for Utah now that Mike Conley is back on the sidelines dealing with another injury. Ingles has now recorded at least 31 points on DraftKings in eight out of his last ten appearances. That is all you can ask for considering his price-tag is just $6,200. Tonight he gets a great match-up against Portland in what will likely be a shoot-out of a game. The main reason I am going with Ingles is that he can go off in any category on any given night. It’s very odd for him to strike-out in scoring, rebounding, and assisting in the same night. Guys like that are great to have on your DFS roster.
Top PF Picks:
LaMarcus Aldridge – DK: ($7,400)
If I had to choose between Aldridge and Porzingis tonight I would go with Aldridge. There is a solid chance that Luka Doncic makes his return tonight and Porzingis doesn’t exactly thrive with him in the lineup. For example, Porzingis put up 50 fantasy points in four out of his last five games. (Doncic missed all of those games). However, if you span that to the last ten games, Porzingis has actually scored under 37 fantasy points in five of them. Aldridge has recorded at least 36 fantasy points on DraftKings in eight of his last ten games. I’d much rather go with LMA tonight than gamble with Porzingis.
Bojan Bogdanovic – DK: ($6,700)
Bojan continues to see an increase in his production while Mike Conley is still receiving from injury. Bogdanovic has now recorded at least 28 points on Draftings in seven out of his last ten games. Although most of his production comes from scoring, he’s also been contributing rebounds and assists at a decent rate. Portland is one of the middling defenses in the NBA at the moment and they have a great rim protector in Hassan Whiteside. That should lead to a lot of outside shots tonight which is perfect for a player like Bogdanovic.
Carmelo Anthony – DK: ($5,800)
There is nothing you can do but be happy with how Melo has been playing. He’s scoring, getting rebounds, and gathering defensive stats at a solid pace this season. Melo recorded 35 fantasy points on DraftKings in four out of his last five games. He offers a little salary relief at the SF/PF position tonight in a tough match-up with Utah. Look for Melo to have a floor of 30 fantasy points tonight.
Top C Picks:
Andre Drummond – DK: ($10,000)
Drummond is one of my favorite plays on the entire slate as Detroit gets set to take on Washington. The Wizards are ranked 26th in the entire NBA against opposing C’s. On top of that, Washington is missing their starting C, PF, as well as two rotational bigs. Drummond will have a very easy time dominating the glass and scoring in the paint. Look for him to have a floor of 45 fantasy points on tonight’s NBA slate.
Steven Adams – DK: ($6,400)
If you are looking for a value play at center tonight, go no further than Steven Adams. He has been playing extremely well over the past few weeks and he’s recorded at least 33 points on DraftKings in seven out of his last ten games. Tonight he has a dream match-up against the Grizzlies who are ranked 30th in the NBA against opposing C’s. These two teams played earlier in the year and in that one Adams dropped 33 points on DraftKings. Look for him to have a floor of 32 points on tonight’s NBA slate.
Ian Mahinmi – DK: ($4,800)
If you must buy down at the center position tonight, Mahinmi is your guy. He has a tough individual match-up, but Washington is so thin at the 5 that he is their only answer to Andre Drummond. Mahinmi could see upwards of 30 minutes tonight depending on how competitive the game is. He’s now scored at least 20 points on DraftKings in each of his last four games. He is definitely a gamble tonight, but logic tells you Washington will need minuets from him to counter Drummond.
