NBA DFS Yahoo Cash Plays 2/1
There is a reason I typically write this article later in the day and it paid off again today as the Golden State Warriors flipped the slate on its head. They only have nine total players available for the game tonight so the rotation is going to be extremely compressed and that means fantasy goodness to go around for everyone in the NBA DFS Yahoo Cash Plays 2/1!
The scoring is FanDuel-style so always be sure to look at the Projection Model. Ghost spends a TON of time on this, and it’s the most valuable tool for NBA DFS we have. While it’s not a one-to-one translation because of the salaries, it’s still a great place to start. Yahoo has eight positions to fill with a $200 budget, different than any other site. The goal here in this article will outline some of the most popular plays since cash is king, and then we set the cores in the Win Daily Discord.
Note – Jordan Poole, Gary Payton II, Jonathan Kuminga, and Kevon Looney are all inside the top eight in ownership currently for the Warriors on Yahoo. Your cash lineup likely needs at least three, if not four so this article will be focused on the fill-in options between the Warriors.
Guard – Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns – $39
The premier game of the night is the Nets facing the Suns in Phoenix, and Booker is seemingly chalk every single night in Yahoo cash games. The Suns might be getting Jae Crowder and Deandre Ayton back tonight but even if everyone is active, Booker leads the Suns in usage rate at 32.5% and his 1.18 Yahoo points per minute is very strong. The game has the highest total of the night and both teams are in the top 10 in pace so we need exposure to this game without question.
Honorable Mention – Spencer Dinwiddie, Chris Paul
Forward – DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls – $39
Since we have so much money to spend, it’s pretty easy to plug in DeRozan and the 223 point total is well worth chasing. Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball are both still out for Chicago and in that scenario, DeRozan leads the team with a 33.2% usage rate and he’s sitting sixth in points per game across the league at 26.4. There is no easier way to rack up fantasy points and the Magic are 23rd in defensive rating this season. The floor for DeRozan is strong and it’s so easy to play him around Golden State.
Honorable Mention – Wendell Carter Jr., Giannis Antetokounmpo
Center – Nikola Vucevic, Chicago Bulls – $36
As of now, it appears the field is going to double up on Bulls and centers, as both Looney and Vuc are in the top eight in popularity. We talked about the matchup with the Magic defensively and they are also 24th in rebounding overall, 27th in points allowed in the paint, and 24th in rebounds allowed in the paint. His usage is behind DeRozan and Zach LaVine but the Yahoo points per minute lead the team at 1.31. Its stars and scrubs all over the board tonight and Yahoo tends to be a double-center site.
Honorable Mention – Karl-Anthony Towns, Jonas Valanciunas
