NBA DFS Yahoo Cash Plays 1/11
There are six games tonight and plenty of injuries to deal with, and Yahoo is already showing off the difference in structure tonight. The most popular plays look a little surprising given the slate as a whole, but the salaries dictate who’s a good play on this site. Let’s start diving in and exploring what kind of style of build we want to focus on in the NBA DFS Yahoo Cash Plays 1/11 to find green screens!
The scoring is FanDuel-style so always be sure to look at the Projection Model. Ghost spends a TON of time on this, and it’s the most valuable tool for NBA DFS we have. While it’s not a one-to-one translation because of the salaries, it’s still a great place to start. Yahoo has eight positions to fill with a $200 budget, different than any other site. The goal here in this article will outline some of the most popular plays since cash is king, and then we set the cores in the Win Daily Discord.
Guard – Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns – $33
The Suns enter this game against the Raptors missing Cameron Johnson off the bench and while that doesn’t have a massive effect, Booker is still a great play under $35 on Yahoo. Booker does see his usage go over 32% when Johnson is off the floor and his fantasy points per minute are 1.17. The Raptors are only 20th in defensive rating and sit in the bottom eight in 3-point frequency allowed and FG% allowed. Booker is shooting 41% from deep this season and the salary is super appealing.
Honorable Mention – Brandon Ingram, Reggie Jackson
Forward – Nicholas Batum, Los Angeles Clippers – $10
Playing Batum in cash is not normally a strong play on other sites, but he’s was on the court for 30 minutes last game and he remains the minimum salary on Yahoo. He’s averaging 1.8 steals/blocks per game on the season and that’s practically six fantasy points right off the bat. His usage rate without Paul George on the floor this year is only 13.7% but the fantasy points per minute are 0.84. The Nuggets are still in the bottom half of the league in defensive rating and Batum opens up the rest of the build, so he makes a lot of sense and has nearly 2.5-3x upside.
Honorable Mention – Pascal Siakam, Andre Iguodala
Center – Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets – $56
One of the reasons I’m willing to take chances with players like Batum and possibly Iguodala is because Jokic feels like a total must tonight, and he’s not going to come cheaply. He shouldn’t either, because the Nuggets are going to be incredibly short of what the healthy roster is on a good day. We all know by now that Michael Porter and Jamal Murray are out, but now Will Barton is out as well. In that sample, Jokic has played 284 minutes and boasts a 33.9% usage and 1.85 fantasy points per minute. He’s going to have to do everything tonight and not playing him seems foolhardy as we sit at 1 p.m. today.
Honorable Mention – Jonas Valanciunas, Deandre Ayton
