NBA DraftKings Main Slate for Sunday, December 15, 2019
Looking at today’s 4 games NBS DFS slate, there a lot of questions surrounding some core players. Lebron James, Anthony Davis, De’Aaron Fox, Draymond Green, Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Eric Paschall, and Rajon Rondo (to name a few) are all listed as questionable at the time I’m writing this article. Being Sunday, with a full slate of NFL games going on, a majority of the sharks in Puerto Rico at the Football World Championships. There should be some opportunity to profit here if you are adamant at staying on top of the news. With Atlanta, Brooklyn, Golden State, and New York, all taking the court, we have 4 of the worst defenses to take advantage of when building NBA DFS rosters.
The Core
Anthony Davis ($10,600) I’m not going to spend a lot of time here. Atlanta has a terrible frontcourt and is facing one of the best frontcourt players in the league. With a 30% usage, 1.5 FP/Min, averaging 35 mins/gm., and a possible bump to those numbers with Lebron questionable, AD is the play today.
D’Angelo Russell ($7900) Russell looks to have put his thumb injury in the rearview mirror, as his minutes (38.7) and usage (33.1%) are getting back to normal. D’Angelo is the field general of this Warrior team devastated by injury. The Kings run a relatively slow pace, and there is some risk here. Russell is still averaging 1.24 FP/min on the season. SAC comes in 23rd in DEFF, and 22nd against his position. Hopefully, some of The Warriors will return tonight. The Kings won’t be able to focus on him defensively, and he should be able to do his thing at a bargain price tonight.
Tobias Harris ($7700) I’m going a little out on a limb here as Tobias actually has one of the toughest matchups on this NBA DFS slate. The Nets rank 2nd in DEFF and 1st against his position. Aside from N.O., Philly has played some great defenses in their last 4 games (Boston, Denver, Toronto). He is averaging 43 DKFPTS across those 4 games, dropping a 50 burger on The Celtics. With most people looking at Simmons and Embiid in this game, Shooting a stellar .500, on an avg. 20 shots over the last week, I’ll try to get a bit contrarian and go north of 40 DKFPTS with Harris’ affordable price tag.
The Value
Rajon Rondo ($4600) I want a Laker guard tonight. Taking advantage of the Hawks backcourt has been a recipe for success in DFS this year. Lebron is DEFINITELY in play here as well if you can afford him, but with an elbow injury affecting him, in a possible blowout, and needing to find some savings somewhere, a “probable” Rajon Rondo becomes one of my favorite plays.
I’m going to stop here. I’ll be in the WinDaily NBA DFS Discord rooms most of the day today. Some of the staff and I will give you our honest opinions as more news opens up some value tonight.
