We have a later start tonight but we do get a six-game NBA DFS Slate. I’ll be breaking down my core plays alongside my favorite value plays. We’ll break down which game to target for your lineups also. On top of that, I’ll drop my two favorite bets for tonight’s action while using the brand-new Propbettor tool!
NBA DFS – Core Plays
Tyrese Maxey $8,500 – 46.56 DK Points – 5.48 Value Rating
There are many good pay-up spots tonight but Tyrese Maxey has a great value rating for a reasonable price tag. After returning from concussion protocol, Maxey recorded 17 points, four assists, and two rebounds in 28 minutes. While the game was one-sided, Maxey is back 100%. In the four games before the injury, he recorded 24 points or more while notching five assists in two of those games and seven in the other. Maxey is the focus point for the Philadelphia 76ers currently and at $8,500 in a great matchup, I want a piece.

Daniel Gafford $4,900 – 28.19 DK Points – 5.75 Value Rating
Daniel Gafford has been playing pretty well in his last five games, averaging 15 points with 7.5 rebounds while averaging 3.4 blocks and one steal. Gafford ranks fourth in value rating overall also tonight and for good reason. He averaged 14 points, nine rebounds, and one block in two games this season versus Oklahoma City. What makes this even better is the pace of possession for both teams, as they average nearly 104 per game. Fast-paced play equals more opportunities for Daniel Gafford tonight to succeed.
Kyle Kuzma $8,200 – 43.79 DK points – 5.34 Value Rating
Kyle Kuzma is becoming someone I can’t pass up on. He’s currently holding a 30.2% usage rating while averaging 32.3 minutes per game this season. On top of that, his price tag isn’t going up a lot on DraftKings and it makes me want to play him more. In his last five games, Kuzma is averaging 36.3 minutes, 26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, and six assists. He also plays on the Washington Wizards, a team that forces others to play fast as they average 106.2 possessions per game.
NBA DFS – Top Value Targets
Lugentz Dort $4,200 – 22.01 DK points – 5.24 Value Rating
There are some good value pieces in the Oklahoma City Thunder versus Dallas Mavericks game and Lugentz Dort is one of them. He has not recorded 14 and 18 points in his past two games. While he hasn’t had the strongest showing versus Dallas in two games this season, Dort’s last five games have been better. In those, he averaged 12.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists with 28.9 minutes of court time.
Jock Landale $4,600 – 24.90 DK Points – 5.41 Value Rating
Jock Landale has been getting more run time lately and it looks to be paying off. While the $4,600 price tag may be a tad higher for his performance, his value rating of 5.41 is nice. In his last five games, Landale is averaging 6.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while averaging 14.6 minutes. The Washington Wizards have struggled versus centers, allowing double-doubles to the position and if Jock Landale can get that bonus, he easily pays off the price tag.
NBA DFS – Game To Target
Washington Wizards (+250) versus Houston Rockets (-310) – Total 227.5 Points
Odds and Total Points are taken from the DraftKings Sportsbook.
This game brings great pace and some good price point plays for us to target. We already broke it down in the Kyle Kuzma piece. The Washington Wizards play fast and that will force Houston to match their pace. Fred Vanvleet ($8.2k) and Amen Thompson ($5.2k) make for a great pairing from the Houston Rocket side of things. Amen Thompson holds a value rating of 5.83 and projects for 30.31 points. He should see a nice boost with the pace.
Kyle Kuzma is a core piece but we can also look at Deni Avdija ($6.9k) and Corey Kispert ($5.4k). They don’t help open up a lot of moves when it comes to lineups but they should be able to do their job and hit value for us. I would prioritize Deni Avdija with Kyle Kuzma.

OG Anunoby over 3.5 Rebounds -130 (FD Sportsbook)
OG Anunoby has finally returned for the New York Knicks and made an immediate impact. Facing the Portland Trailblazers tonight, Anunoby has a prop total of 3.5 rebounds. In the Propbettor tool, he is projected for 4.34 rebounds which sits at a 24% edge. The Trailblazers allow 7.2 rebounds to the forward position which should come easy for OG Anunoby and the Knicks.
Fred VanVleet under 3.5 3-PTS Made -125 (DK Sportsbook)
Fred VanVleet loves shooting threes but tonight could be a little more difficult for him to hit his prop total of 3.5. The Washington Wizards currently only allow 2.7 three-pointers made to the point guard position. For VanVleet, he hasn’t hit over 3.5 in his last two games also. The struggle to make three’s should continue tonight.
