There’s four games on the slate that the Sunday Night NBA DFS Positional Breakdown will look at. Let’s jump into it.
IMPORTANT: NBA DFS is completely different than any other sport. Players get ruled out five minutes before games and you HAVE TO BE READY to pivot. I will update this article as close to lineup lock as possible with any big news, but play it safe and stay on top of the news yourself.
I refer to FanDuel pricing today.
12/22 NBA DFS Point Guard
- Kemba Walker ($7900): Walker averaged 49.2 FDP in his previous three games before the 21.4 FDP egg he laid on Friday. He bounces back at the expense of the Hornets and their 25th-ranked defense.
- Malcolm Brogdon ($7500): The Bucks have Fantasy friendly against opposing PGs, ranking 25th in points allowed at the position.
- Chris Paul ($7700)
- Jamal Murray ($6800)
12/22 NBA DFS Shooting Guard
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($6900): Blistering hot with two straight 40-plus FDP outings. Should get extra looks in a fast-paced game against the Clippers and their sixth-ranked pace.
- Dennis Schroder ($6100): He’s giving Lou Williams a run for his 6th Man award. Schroder has scored at least 17 points in 13 straight games and has filled the box score well enough to consider pairing him with Gilgeous-Alexander.
- Devonte’ Graham ($7700): Fatigue issues are popping up. Be ready to pivot if the Hornets decide to pull the Load Management card on Graham.
- Lou Williams ($5100)
12/22 NBA DFS Small Forward
- Giannis Antetokunmpo ($11,200) Anchor: Since missing his first game of the season on December 11, Antetokunmpo has averaged 56.74 FDP in his past five games. The scary part? He’s averaged just 28.2 minutes per game in that span.
- Paul George ($9000): He hung 60.3 FDP against the Pacers on December 9. Expect a similar outburst against his most recent employer before getting his warm reception in LA.
- LeBron James ($10,000) It’s unlikely he plays, but we’ve heard this before. However, this might be a good night to pivot away from from James.
- Jaylen Brown ($7000): He’s scored at least 20 points in six of his eight games this month. Should really thrive if the C’s sit Gordon Hayward again.
12/22 NBA DFS Power Forward
- Anthony Davis ($10,600) Anchor: A mammoth play, especially if LBJ is DNP. Nuggets held him to “just” 40.5 FDP in their December 3 meeting, but I wouldn’t be shocked if AD goes above 65 FDP tonight.
- Jayson Tatum ($7600): I’m pairing Tatum and Jaylen Brown in more than one of my lineups tonight.
- Domatas Sabonis ($8300): GTD, but I think he plays. If not, I’d pivot toward T.J. Warren, especially at DraftKings, where he holds SF/PF eligibility.
- Daniel Theis ($4400) Hunch is a Celtics blowout, meaning Theis will eat if Hayward is sidelined.
12/22 NBA DFS Center
- Nikola Jokic ($9700): Eight straight games of at least 40 FDP since December 6. The Jokic we’ve waited for has arrived.
- Brook Lopez ($5100): Makings of a good sleeper pick here, as Lopez tees off against a Pacers defense that has allowed the most Fantasy points to opposing centers.
- Steven Adams ($6300): Clippers are 28th in Fantasy points allowed to opposing centers. Solid play, but high upside if pace gets faster.
- Montrezl Harrell ($6300): On a bit of a scoring spike, averaging 20.6 points per game in his last five, but hasn’t recorded a double-double since December 1.
