Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Thursday night’s NASCAR Trucks series race from Bristol Motor Speedway! This is a 200 lap race on Thursday night, which means we have 150 dominator points available in this race. Last year in this same race we had three different drivers lead every lap, and all three are favorites in this same race as well. Ross Chastain ($12,000), Brett Moffitt ($9,800) – 2019 winner, and Grant Enfinger ($9,200) led all 200 laps last year and I think any of these three drivers can easily win this race .
NASCAR DFS – Dominators
Ross Chastain ($12,000)
Starting Position: 34th
Chastain is back in the Truck series this week and is the highest priced driver in the field this week with arguably the most upside as well. Starting from the 34th spot in a truck that can easily finish in the top 10 and lead laps makes Chastain the optimal cash game play for this race. There is a good amount of value to balance his salary so there is no reason to fade him in GPP’s either in my opinion.
Sheldon Creed ($11,300)
Starting Position: 8th
Creed has two wins in his last 5 races and has been one of the best drivers all season. In his only race at Bristol last year, Creed came home in 6th after starting 24th. This is the first race of the playoffs in the Truck Series and Creed will be looking to win this race and lock in his place in the next round, and win this race.
Brett Moffitt ($9,800)
Starting Position: 2nd
Moffitt may be the unluckiest driver in the Truck Series and just can’t buy a win this season. Coming into Thursday’s race, Moffitt has six straight top 10’s and has led laps in 5 of those 6 races as well. With a win under his belt here at Bristol last year, I think Moffitt gets out front early and leads a good portion of the first half of this race.
Other Options: Parker Kligerman ($10,900), Johnny Sauter ($10,600)
NASCAR DFS : Mid Tier
Sam Mayer ($8,800)
Starting Position: 17th
Mayer is just 17 years old, but has been very successful in the Truck series this season, and last. Last year at this race, Mayer finished 21st, his first career race at this track. I think Mayer has the biggest upside in this tier this week and is cash game viable if you play cash games.
Stewart Friesen ($7,600)
Starting Position: 12th
Friesen was in a really bad rut for a while this season but has seemingly gotten that figured out and is running much better currently. Friesen comes into Bristol with 5 straight top 10 finishes. While he doesn’t offer a ton of upside because Friesen will not likely run upfront on Thursday, his price means he doesn’t need to make value for us.
Other Options: Grant Enfinger ($9,200), Todd Gilliland ($9,000), Chandler Smith ($8,100)
