Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for the NASCAR Cup Series. Below you will find my rankings for the drivers in this race.
A Group: Drivers I will have the most exposure to and are high-priority
B Group: This group is drivers I feel have a high upside and are great filler pieces to pair with the A Group
C Group: The drivers in this tier are risky but could still be optimal. This group should be used in GPP’s
F Group: These drivers are on my do not play list
(Starting position in parenthesis)
Drivers in BOLD are potential dominators

DFS NASCAR – Driver Notes
- If you are making lineups for SE or cash games I suggest using Larson/Hamlin/Byron as your core and fill in the rest (on both sites). Kyle Larson is far and away my favorite play in the field on Sunday. Larson was fastest in all speed categories (except single lap ) in practice on Saturday and qualified on the front row. The only driver that I feel will give Larson a run is his teammate, William Byron.
- Noah Gragson was second quickest in single-lap speed in practice, so there is speed in that #10 car. He starts far enough back in the field where he can’t hurt you too badly, but he will be popular. Better play for SE and cash games than large-field GPP’s. This is also Gragson’s home track and he has historically run well here in the Xfinity Series.
- Ross Chastain has had a lot of success at Vegas but has yet to win here. In his last five races here, Chastain has three top 5 finishes. In Saturday’s practice, the #1 car had the best single-lap time, so we know he has speed. Chastain is a darkhorse dominator on Sunday if he can show long-run speed.
- Both of the 23XI cars were fast in practice and should run well here. I lean towards Tyler Reddick because of his starting position. Reddick has finished 6th or 7th in four of his last five races at Las Vegas. As for Bubba Wallace, he is coming off back-to-back 5th place. Wallace had career bests 12th and 4th at Las Vegas last season. Both of these Toyota’s should be good on Sunday and finish top 10.
- This is also Kyle Busch’s home track, and I expect a big day from Rowdy on Sunday. While I didn’t list him as a dominator, he has the upside. In the last five races at Vegas, Busch has finished 3rd or 4th four times.
- Martin Truex Jr. has run well in recent years at Las Vegas. In the last five races at this track, Truex has finished no worse than 8th. The 19 car was not fast in practice, but I am not concerned.
