Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for the NASCAR Cup Series. Below you will find my rankings for the drivers in this race.
A Group: Drivers I will have the most exposure to and are high-priority
B Group: This group is drivers I feel have a high upside and are great filler pieces to pair with the A Group
C Group: The drivers in this tier are risky but could still be optimal. This group should be used in GPP’s
F Group: These drivers are on my do not play list
(Starting position in parenthesis)
Drivers in BOLD are potential dominators

Driver Notes:
- Martin Truex Jr. won here at Dover last year as did his brother, Ryan Truex, in the Xfinity Series. The younger Truex won here again yesterday, can big brother Martin make it another Truex sweep? I am optimistic that he can.
- In his last four races here at Dover, William Byron has finished 4th three times. Last season he led a race-high 193 laps on his way to one of those 4th place finishes. If Byron can do that again on Sunday he will be optimal and I think the chances of that are pretty high based on the 2024 season so far.
- Zane Smith starts dead last but showed top-25 speed in practice. Smith is super cheap and has some great upside. I love using him to help get multiple dominators into our builds.
- Ford is off to a horrid start to the season. No Mustang has been to victory lane in 2024 (10 races), but Ryan Blaney looks to have a fast car for this race and could end that streak on Sunday. Blaney was fastest in single-lap and 10-ap average in Saturday’s practice.
- I don’t love the Legacy Motorsports cars, but all three are cheap and start far back in the field. Corey Heim is making his Cup Series debut in the 43 car for the injured Erik Jones. Meanwhile, both JHN and Jimmie Johnson showed some decent speed in practice and could push for top-2o finishes on Sunday.
- Ty Gibbs is starting 19th, but showed top 5 long-run speed in Saturday’s practice session. I don’t know if he gets out front and leads laps today, but a top-5 finish at his price with little to no dominator points should make him optimal.
