MLB DFS Winners and Losers: Senzatela, Happ

DFS Winners

J.P. Crawford

J.P. Crawford had hits in all four at-bats against the Baltimore Orioles yesterday. He finished with a home run, four RBI and two runs. Look for him to continue to perform well on the next DFS slate.

Crawford’s Outlook

J.P. Crawford has been on fire in the past week, going 10-for-27 with a homer and seven RBI. He has really been doing well at the plate this season and should continue to do so. The Mariners travel to Milwaukee for an interleague matchup against the Brewers.

Antonio Senzatela

Antonio Senzatela pitched well against the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday, going 6.1 innings and giving up two runs on five hits. He struck out five and walked one. He managed to lower his ERA to 4.91 and pitched well against a tough lineup in a challenging DFS spot.

Senzatela’s Outlook

Antonio Senzatela has been troubled by Coors Field but pitches good on the road. This season he is pitching to a 3.92 ERA away from Colorado. His next scheduled start is Friday night against the same team but in Coors Field. Fade Senzatela since there will be better options than him on the DFS slate.

DFS Losers

J.A. Happ ($7,500)

J.A. Happ struggled against the Houston Astros yesterday. His final stat line was four innings pitched, eight runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts. He needs to pitch better at Yankee Stadium. He is in line to pitch during the London Series against the Boston Red Sox next weekend.

Happ’s Outlook

Happ is struggling in Yankee Stadium this season, pitching to a 6.29 ERA and he has given up 13 HR in nine starts. He is shockingly close to last year’s Sonny Gray numbers at the Stadium. In the London Series, his next scheduled start could be pencilled in for Sunday against the Boston Red Sox. Since the game is played across the pond and Yankee Stadium isn’t taking the trip, jump on Happ at a lower DFS value than usual.

J.D. Martinez

J.D. Martinez struggled yesterday against Marcus Stroman and the Toronto Blue Jays. He finished hitless in four at-bats and struck out one time. He’s slumping as of late and should be faded in DFS until he begins to show signs of breaking out of his slump.

Martinez’s Outlook

J.D. Martinez is cold at the plate, batting .176 in his past seven games. The Boston Red Sox need him to begin hitting if they want to try to make a run in the American League East, as they are nine games back in the loss column.

DFS Injury Update

Brock Holt of the Boston Red Sox left the game due to a hamstring injury. Holt is optimistic he will not need to be put on the IL.

David Freese of the Los Angeles Dodgers was placed on the 10-day Injured List with a knee injury.
