In this article, I will break down each position with my top stud, middle tier, and value plays for this NBA DFS slate. On a smaller slate-like tonight I may not be able to hit all three categories at each position. I will be referring to DraftKings on pricing. Most picks are for GPP/Tournaments, some would also be viable for cash games.
A small three-game NBA slate tonight that is going to be a funky one and I’m not sure how much I will play. I say that because on a small slate like this when you have Giannis out and these Milwaukee players this cheap it will be tough to be unique. There doesn’t appear to be many players heading into this evening as questionable aside from De’Andre Hunter, but that can change in the blink of an eye so be sure you tune into the Discord chat rooms with me and the rest of the WinDaily staff as we follow the injury news throughout the day and further evaluate our favorite plays.

Point Guard
Eric Bledsoe – Mid-tier – ($5,700)
With Giannisout Bledsoe sees a usage increase of nine percent putting him second on theteam at 32.9 percent. Bledsoe is also averaging 52.34 fantasy points per 36minutes with Giannis off the floor. He doesn’t get a great matchup against Denver, but the usage increase and the extremely cheap price make him a no brainer. Giannishas one of the highest usages in the NBA, I would recommend having at least twoeven three Milwaukee players in your lineup.
MikeConley – Value – ($5,300)
He isn’t exactly valued, but I don’t think you need a value on this NBA slate as I’m not spending up on Trae Young even though he is at home. Conley seems to finally have settled in with the Jazz, he has at least 30 minutes in five out of his last six games and has scored at least 25 fantasy points in all six of those games. I’m guessing VanVleet will sit again as it’s the last game of the road trip for them and they have four days off after tonight.
Shooting Guard
Donovan Mitchell – Stud – ($7,500)
Utah is only a game and a half ahead of Oklahoma City for homecourt advantagein the first round so they still have something to play for. If VanVleet sits Iwant to get some exposure to whoever Lowry isn’t guarding and I think that’s goingto be Mitchell. He consistently is around at least the 30 fantasy point mark ashe has scored at least 30 fantasy points in eight of his last ten games, onthis NBA slate I’ll take that.
Donte DiVincenzo – Value – ($4,800)
As I mentioned in the Bledsoe segment, I will likely have three Milwaukee players in my lineup and Divincenzo is one that stands out. DiVincenzo is the only nonstarter on this team to have usage of over 20 percent. He is averaging 38.28 fantasy points per 36 minutes with Giannis off the floor and he played 30 minutes in last night’s loss to the Suns. I’ll take a fantasy point per minute player on an NBA slate-like tonights.
Small Forward
Khris Middleton – Stud – ($7,600)
Middleton has the highest usage rate on the team with Giannis off thefloor at 33.6 percent and is averaging 51.8 fantasy points per 36 minutes. Heis priced up from last night slightly, but it isn’t nearly enough for a guythat shot 26 times like Middleton did last night. Middleton is facing thesecond slowest team in the NBA but his usage and price should be enough toovercome that.
Cam Reddish – Value – ($4,500)
Reddish left the last game the Hawks played and didn’t return due to cramping so I assume he should be good to go here tonight. This play becomes a lot better if De’Andre Hunter sits out as Reddish should have very safe minutes, but I like him regardless as Atlanta has nothing to play for at this point so the rookie should get playing time. Charlotte is the seventh-worst team in the NBA in terms of Defensive efficiency.
Power Forward
Pascal Siakam – Stud – ($8,700)
The Raptors are slowly getting back to full strength as they near the end of this road trip. Utah has been exploited by bigger power forwards this season with Bojan Bogdanovic playing there and he’s smaller for a power forward. An example of that is Julius Randle just went off for 32 real points against Utah five days ago. It wouldn’t surprise me if Gasol sat out the second half of this back to back as he is returning from a hamstring injury. Even if Gasol doesn’t sit with VanVleet of the floor Siakam leads the team in usage at just over 30 percent.
Pj Washington – Mid-tier – ($5,600)
The Hornets season is a loss at this point and that is resulting in them taking a nice look at their rookie big man. Washington has played at least 30 minutes in six straight games now and has scored at least 25 fantasy points in all six of those games. The Hawks are a fantastic positional matchup as they have given up the most fantasy points to centers and the second-most fantasy points to power forwards this NBA season. Washington also had played the Hawks once this year and had a 41 fantasy point performance.
Center
Nikola Jokic – Stud – ($9,500)
I only like Jokic tonight because of how tonight’s NBA slate is looking, there really aren’t many players to take up salary. He does get the fastest-paced team in the NBA tonight who will be without their best player. You must remember as well that Giannis is the Bucks best rebounder as Brook Lopez is only averaging four and a half rebounds per game. A fast-paced team without their best defender and rebounder seems like a good spot to take Jokic at home.
Dewayne Dedmond – Value – ($4,100)
If De’Andre Hunter is forced to miss this game I will love Dedmond in this spot. If Hunter is out, I don’t think the Hawks will slide Collins down to the five as much because the only other power forward, they have listed is Vince Carter. Charlotte has also given up the third-most fantasy points to centers in the NBA this season, not to mention they are ranked as the seventh-worst in defensive efficiency.
We have an unusually small three-game NBA slate for a Monday night and it is unusual, to say the least. With Giannis being out on this small slate, Bledsoe and Middleton could be pushing 90 percent ownership as they were around 70 percent in the contests I played last night and that was an eight-game slate. All these games are around the same total and are relatively close in terms of the spread which is another reason why this slate Is unusual. Currently, we only have Fred VanVleet and De’Andre Hunter that have a questionable tag.
