We have a small four-game NBA slate on tap for tonight, so I won’t be able to get all three categories for every position. It’s looking like a night where you’re going to need to keep up with your injury news as Devonte’ Graham, Draymond Green, and several Raptors players are questionable. Point Guard
JamesHarden – Stud – ($10,700)
I likeHarden more than Westbrook simply because Westbrook draws the Patrick Beverleydefense. Westbrook in three games against the Clippers is averaging only 40fantasy points, while Harden is averaging 65 in those three games. This game isprojected to be the highest total on tonight’s NBA slate, you’re going to wantpieces from it, and I like Harden as one of my spend ups.
Devonte’ Graham – Mid-tier – ($5,800)
If Graham canplay in tonight’s game, it’s hard to ignore him at his price. The Nuggets arethe second slowest team in the NBA this season, so the matchup isn’t thegreatest. His price though is the lowest we’ve seen it since early this season,so if he can play, I’m intrigued at this price.
PatrickBeverley – Value – ($3,600)
It’s a short NBA slate with several studs to be had so we’re going to be hunting for value and Beverley is an option. This is one of those games Beverley circles on his calendar, anytime he faces the Rockets with Westbrook playing. He has faced the Rockets three times this year and has averaged of 19 fantasy points in 25 minutes. He has fouled out in all three of those games, but If he can stay out of foul trouble, he can easily score over 20 fantasy points here.
Shooting Guard
Terry Rozier – Mid-tier – ($6,200)
Now, this pick is only if Graham ends up missing this game due to his ankle injury. When Graham and Malik Monk are both off the floor, Rozier has the highest usage on the team at 26.2 percent. Rozier has scored at least 35 fantasy points in three out of his last four games. He is facing the second slowest team in the NBA, but that didn’t slow his last game against Denver as he scored 42 fantasy points in that game.
Furkan Korkmaz – Value – ($4,500)
Korkmaz is facing Sacramento and Buddy Hield is a defender that I like to target. Korkmaz has a 21.5 percent usage rate with the three 76ers that are out off the floor. Sacramento is the tenth fastest team in the NBA over the last 10 games. Over his last six games, Korkmaz is averaging just over 10 shots per game and over half of those being three-pointers. Korkmaz still has some upside for me due to his shooting capabilities.
Small Forward
Kawhi Leonard – Stud – ($9,300)
Kawhi has been so consistent as of late, he has only scored under 40 fantasy points one time in his last ten games. He gets a nice matchup against the Rockets who have fallen back a bit, but still hold the fourth-fastest pace in the NBA. Leonard has played Houston three times this season averaging 47 fantasy points in those three games. Kawhi and James Harden may be the two centerpieces of my lineups tonight due to the playoff atmosphere we should see in this game.
Glenn Robinson III – Value – ($4,000)
Although he came off the bench in his last game against the Lakers, Robinson still played 31 minutes, went ten for fifteen from the field, and accumulated 35 total fantasy points. That was against the Lakers who are the third-best defensive team in the NBA, it wouldn’t surprise me if Robinson may have earned himself a start with that performance. Regardless with three of the 76ers, regular starters out Robinson should see enough minutes and shot attempts to pay off this price tag.
Power Forward
Pascal Siakam – Stud – ($9,100)
You’re going to have to watch injury news for this play, as Gasol and SergeIbaka getting ruled out would make this an excellent play. Over the last fourgames with both of those to absent, Siakam has yet to play under 38 minutes. Overthe course of this NBA season with Gasol and Ibaka off the floor, Siakam has ausage percentage of 30.8 percent. That number leads the team and is includingFred VanVleet in the lineup.
Harrison Barnes – Mid-tier – ($5,300)
On a smaller NBA slate-like tonight, I will just take Barnes minutes and run with them. Barnes is tied for fourteenth in the NBA in average minutes played per game. The 76ers have given up the eighth-most fantasy points to power forwards over the last month. Due to the minutes and the price, Barnes will make a good amount of my builds tonight.
Center
Nikola Jokic – Stud – ($9,500)
My biggest concern here is if this game can stay competitive throughout. If it is though Jokic should be able to smash in this spot, as Charlotte has given up the third-most fantasy points to centers and rank seventh-worst in the NBA in terms of defensive efficiency. If this game can stay close Jokic could have a massive game, but its an awfully big if making it a tournament play only.
PJ Tucker – Value – ($3,700)
I just want exposure to this game and what more can I ask for than a guy at 3,700 who is tied for eighteenth in the NBA for average minutes per game. Tucker has also played the Clippers three times, averaging 37 minutes and 24.5 fantasy points over those three games. This is a tournament play, but he is part of the highest total on the slate, at this price I’ll take him for value.
Let’s recap this four-game NBA slate we have tonight. The Clippers at Rockets is the main game I will be trying to target with Tucker and Beverley being my salary savers unless an injury opens some value somewhere else.
