We’re back boys… another week ahead of more Korean Baseball (KBO) and no damn sleep.
Pitching Glance
From a quick glance looking at the KBO slate, the pitching options seem pretty obvious for me. Won Tae Choi ($25) over on FD and $9,500 on DK will be the pay up spot for me. With the Heroes being the favorite on the night, and playing an underwhelming Wyverns team, it’s a safe play for cash and an upside play for GPPs.
The next spot I really like is to actually pick on the Hanwha Eagles. They have been “The Chalk” bats a few times already this KBO season, and can’t even get it done then. Pathetic. So firing up William Cuevas ($24) on FD and $7,500 on DK is an easy call. Look for ownership conversations on Discord tonight!! Ghost will be dropping some knowledge.
Keys to stacking
Remember to roll either 3-3 or 4-2 stacks on FD and 5-3 or 4-4 on DK. We have found that sticking to the 2-6 batters is ideal, with some, but few leadoff hitters providing ceilings high enough for GPP wins. Try to stay within those rules in addition to “stacking within your stack” by having KBO players that are consecutive hitters in their respective orders (i.e. 2-3-4).
KBO Stacks to Target
Chalk Alert – LOT tonight, highest total on the board with an implied run total of 5.5 and we can potentially see High Owned guys here like Dixon Machado ($5,600 DK / $13 FD) and Jun-Woo Jeon ($4,300 DK / $14 FD). I always like avoiding the chalk, but I’ll play a few LOT lineups, especially if playing cash games.
The KT Wiz set up to be on the higher owned side tonight as well. Specifically, their two big bats in Mel Rojas Jr. ($6,200 DK / $15 FD) and Baek-Ho Kang ($5,800 DK / $14 FD). I think I’ll avoid more KBO chalk here, but they are in a great spot and are similar to LOT in the sense that they’re a great play in cash games.
The Bears are arguably the best team in the KBO. However, they are seeing Mike Wright on the mound, who is potentially the best pitcher on the KBO slate tonight. The Bears have scored more than 8 runs in 5 of their last 7 games. They will be lower owned tonight because of the LOT chalk. Load up.
The Kia Tigers have been a team that have surprised me, and tonight could be another high scoring night. I like stacking the Tigers tonight, Chan-Ho Park, Hyung-Woo Choi, and Preston Tucker of course, along for some consideration to Sun Bin Kim and Ji Wan Na. They have a sneaky 1-5 lineup, don’t miss out if they pop on tonight’s KBO slate at underowned ownership.
Sleeper Stack
The KIW Heroes might come in lower owned tonight like the Bears. Byung-Ho Park ($4,900 DK / $14 FD) will always draw the ownership given his history in the KBO, but they are projecting to be lower owned tonight and that has peaked my interest. They are always good to put up runs and I think Jang is a guy we can pick on tonight.
