UFC VEGAS 10.
Hill Vs. Waterson
Another week has gone by, and another UFC fight card is here! Tonight we will target some of my best and favorite targets for both Daily Fantasy Sports and Sports Betting picks. After having fight cards with ten, eleven, and twelve fights, we are now graced with a card that is currently down to nine contests, but they are nine action-packed, finish friendly fights.
In my UFC DFS lineups, I will have 100% exposure to the Main Event. The Main Event is a five-round fight. The Main Event WILL NOT be featured as one of my top three plays (Top Value Play, Locked In-Play, or Top Scoring Play) but WILL be featured in my Honorable Mention category. My Main Event target will be a top play. Now let’s get ready to make some money!
Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 10 Hill vs. Waterson.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):
Ottman Azaitar +100 (DK 7700) (FD $17) vs. Khama Worthy -130 (DK 8500) (FD $15).
Azaitar is coming into this fight with an undefeated pro record of 12 wins and no losses. After an impressive debut KO over Packalen, he is set to take on UFC rookie, Khama Worthy.
Worthy has had a decent pro career so far, winning 15 of his 21 fights. He came into the UFC with a bang, knocking out Smith and then surprising the world with a third-round submission over Pena.
Even though Worthy has more experience, this fight is 50/50 in my eyes. It has a Vegas line of -265 to end via finish, and it can truly go either way. In my opinion, Worthy is going to carry over a lot of ownership after his win against Pena. Khama has been knocked out many times in his career and could be set up for more of the same if he gets caught by one of the unique strikes that Azaitar is known for.
Since Worthy moved up to the 155-pound weight class, he has looked like he is getting his career back on track. I think this fight could go one of two ways. Either Azaitar knocks out Khama in the first or second round, or Khama gets a finish late in the third. With that said, I am going to side with Azaitar here. He is cheaper in salary, can help you build a more intriguing DFS lineup, and will be a good leverage spot to get a little different. My prediction is Ottman Azaitar wins with an early knockout punch in the first round.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Ottman Azaitar +100 (DK 7700) (FD $17). FIRST-ROUND TKO.
MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET:
Brok Weaver +255 (DK 7500) (FD $14) vs. Jalin Turner -315 (DK 9000) (FD $19).
Jalin Turner is coming into this fight with a nice chip on his shoulder, after showing the world that he belongs in the UFC with a dominating win over Joshua Culibao. He ended midway through the second round. Turner is known for his devastating power and persistence.
One thing that you do not have to worry about with Turner is his cardio. He will move and move until his opponent has nowhere to go, then he will land dynamic combos and go for takedowns. Jalin is holding a nasty streak of finishes in his wins. His record has nine wins and five losses, but in every one of his victories in his entire career has come by way of stoppage, whether it be KO, TKO, or Submission.
Weaver is by no means an intriguing pick here. He is giving up the height and reach advantage to Turner. The only way to beat Turner is going to be by KO, and I don’t think Weaver can KO him. Brok struggled against Roosevelt Roberts on the feet, and Turner is at a higher level than Roberts, in my opinion. I predict this fight to end with Jalin getting the fight to the mat and forcing a first or second-round submission.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Jalin Turner -315 (DK 9000) (FD $19). SECOND-ROUND SUBMISSION.
MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET:
Alexander “King Kong” Romanov -300 (DK 8700) (FD $19) vs. Roque Martinez +240 (DK 7500) (FD $12).
This is my favorite pick of the night and with good reason. Romanov is making his debut after running up a perfect professional record of eleven wins and no losses. They don’t call him King Kong for nothing. Romanov has a perfect record that includes finishing every single one of his opponents by KO or submission. Eight out of his eleven victories have come in the first round of the matchup.
Alexandr is a beast on the ground. If he gets Martinez on the mat, it is going to be over before you blink. If Romanov gets top control, he can force any submission he wants at will. Martinez has mediocre takedown defense and tends to leave himself open to easy shots and strikes. This fight should be over very fast. I predict Romanov takes Martinez down and submits him in the first round.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Alexander “King Kong” Romanov -300 (DK 8700) (FD $19). FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION.
UFC HONORABLE MENTION:
(No specific order)
Bryan Barberena -265 (DK 9000) (FD $21).
Billy Quarantillo -260 (DK 9300) (FD $19).
Ed Herman (RISKY GPP ONLY) +205 (DK 7400) (FD $12).
Angela Hill -120 (DK 8200) (FD $20). (CASH LINEUPS WILL HAVE BOTH HILL AND WATERSON -110 (DK 8000) (FD $20) (Will have 60% HILL and 40% Waterson in my lineups).
SUMMARY:
On Saturday’s twelve bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 10 GPP lineups. I will be focusing on the three targets and my honorable mention fighters listed in my article to be a part of about 75 percent of my lineups. Always remember the more rounds in a fight, the higher the fantasy score could be. This slate is very tough to predict a winner and all fights are pretty close in skillset. I will use a hedging technique on the fights that are closer in odds. I’m focusing on building a GPP winning lineup.
I’m building lineups that can variate from the field and taking bigger risks tonight. I will use my core fighters (Value, Locked-In, Top Scoring, Honorable Mention) to be a staple in my DFS lineups, and I will build around them using the available salary with the remainder of my predicted winners. Remember, to take down a GPP; you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments. For any further questions, I will be available until lock in our WinDaily Discord chat or you can find me on Twitter @JThomsonDFS. GOOD LUCK and don’t forget to come back and Win Daily!
