The Final Round At Fight Island .
WHITTAKER VS. TILL
It has been a fantastic run on UFC Fight Island. Every fight on every card has not disappointed. We have witnessed a ton of action-packed battles. This will be the last of the Fight Island fights in Abu Dhabi before heading back home to the Apex Arena in Las Vegas. Every fight card has been an exciting, nonstop experience, and on Saturday, July 25, we are being blessed with a massive amount of fights. There will be FIFTEEN FIGHTS! This enormous fight card is most definitely the toughest list of contests that I have ever tried to predict.
Tonight im here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for the last fight card on UFC Fight Island.

MY MMA VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):
Jai Herbert (+145) (DK 7700) (FD $14) vs. Francisco Trinaldo (-165) (DK 8500) (FD $17).
Trinaldo has been in the UFC for a long time. He has accumulated a record of 15 wins and six losses in his UFC career. 21 Fights, not something to laugh at. Over time, as every fight passes and every minute goes by, the beating that a fighter takes will wear on the body. Trinaldo has fought some of the toughest competition in his career. He has been in some dog fights that he has won and some that he has lost.
The problem that I have with Trinaldo is that he needs to be more aggressive in his matches. There have been multiple fights that, in my opinion, he should have won via decision, but instead, he took a loss by leaving it up to the judges and letting them decide if his lack of aggression was enough to win or lose. Now he is facing an opponent that could undoubtedly stop him right in his tracks and capitalize on his passive fighting style.
Jai Herbert is no rookie to fighting as he comes into this fight with a record of ten wins and one loss as a professional fighter but is finally making his longly anticipated UFC debut. Herbert is no stranger to aggressiveness. He has won every single one of his fights via stoppage except one, whether it be a submission or TKO.
Herbert is mainly a boxer and is extremely dangerous. He does not let up. He will come into this fight looking for every opportunity he can to finish Trinaldo. His speed and power, I believe, will be too much for Trinaldo to handle. Herbert has only had one fight in his career go to the third round. This looks like another stoppage before the third round.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Jai Herbert (+145) (DK 7700) (FD $14). SECOND ROUND TKO/SUBMISSION.
MY MMA LOCKED-IN TARGET:
Tom Aspinall (-220) (DK 8800) (FD $17) vs. Jake Collier (+180) (DK 7400) (FD $13).
Jake Collier has not been in a fight in almost two years; he has a professional record of eleven wins and four losses. Collier entered the UFC with one loss in his career and looked mediocre with a three-win and three loss UFC record. In his last fight (almost two years ago), he was able to outwork Fortuna in a unanimous decision win.
Before his win against Fortuna, he took a beating by Devin Clark and lost convincingly via unanimous decision. Collier has shown glimpses of a top fighter but has made a ton of mistakes. His mistakes have led to his even 500 record and have put him at a standstill in the UFC. On top of his mediocre performances, he is now fighting for the first time in the heavyweight division, and that has disaster written all over it.
Aspinall has seven wins and two losses as a professional fighter. This will be Tom’s UFC debut. He is a sniper with his right hand, and primarily a striker inside the octagon. When Tom is not landing with his boxing, he starts focusing on kicks to the body and low calf kicks. His Muy Tai style starts to show, and he can be devastating with that skillset. Both of these fighters have enough power to knock out the other. Aspinall, in my opinion, has more power. Aspinall has only been to a fight that ended in a decision one time in his entire fighting career. I expect this to be more of the same, with Tom catching Collier with multiple different combos and putting him to sleep in the second round.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Tom Aspinall (-220) (DK 8800) (FD $17) SECOND ROUND TKO.
MY MMA TOP SCORING TARGET:
Khamzat Chimaev (-1100) (DK 9800) (FD $20) vs. Rhys Mckee (+600) (DK 6400) (FD $9).
Khamzat had his first career UFC win in his debut on July 15, 2020. Yes, he will be fighting again on one of the fastest turn arounds in UFC history (10 days). After Chimaev’s dominant performance over John Phillips (second-round submission), he asked Uncle Dana for another fight, and if you ask, you shall receive. In Khamzat’s debut, he showed why exactly he belongs in the UFC.
The performance he showed the world was extremely impressive. He mirrored the fighting style of Khabib Nurmagomedov. For those who do not know who Khabib is, he is the UFC Lightweight Champion, with an undefeated record of 28 wins, zero losses, ranked number two in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings, and one of the most dominant grapplers in the world. Chimaev is also undefeated in his young career (7-0). His last fight was won in the middleweight division, which is a heavier weight class than his normal division (Welterweight). After he looked huge and dominant in a heavier division, he is going back to a lighter division, where he will most definitely have an advantage versus an undersized opponent in Rhys Mckee.
Khamzat will look to prove to the world that he is not messing around, here to stay and going to put a staple down with his second dominant performance in just ten days. Mckee will most likely give it everything he has, but will not be even close to enough versus and opponent with the fighting style of Chimaev. Look to see this fight end in the first round via submission.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Khamzat Chimaev (-1100) (DK 9800) (FD $20) FIRST ROUND TKO/SUBMISSION.
UFC HONORABLE MENTION:
Marina Rodriguez (-170) (DK 8600) (FD $16)
Paul Craig (-135) (DK 8000) (FD $15)
Robert Whittaker (-135) (DK 8300) (FD $21)
(RISKY GPP ONLY): John Castaneda (+355) (DK 6700) (FD $11)
SUMMARY:
On Saturday’s 15 bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 10 GPP lineups. I will be focusing on the three targets listed in my article to be a part of about 75 percent of my lineups. Always remember the more rounds in a fight, the higher the fantasy score could be. This slate is very tough to predict a winner and all fights are pretty close in skillset. I will use a hedging technique on the fights that are closer in odds. I’m focusing on building a GPP winning lineup.
I’m building lineups that can variate from the field and taking bigger risks tonight. I will use my core fighters (Value, Locked-In, Top Scoring, Honorable Mention) to be a staple in my DFS lineups, and I will build around them using the available salary with the remainder of my predicted winners. Remember, to take down a GPP; you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments. For any further questions, I will be available until lock in our WinDaily Discord chat or you can find me on Twitter @JThomsonDFS. GOOD LUCK and don’t forget to come back and Win Daily!
