TYBURA V SPIVAK
We’re finally back in Vegas for tonight’s UFC action. We have some exciting debuts, rising stars and PLENTY of Knockout power on tonight’s card. Altogether, we have ten action-packed fights, ending with a rematch between two top 10 heavyweights looking to make a run at the title. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!
SLATE STARTS AT 5:00 PM ET
Exposure to the main event is highly recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event. These fighters are usually both active, and they can rack up a lot of points. There will be four top plays followed by best bets. Now, let’s get ready to make some money!
Tonight, I’m here to give you my top four favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 95 Tybura vs Spivak
MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH & GPP):
Chelsea Chandler vs Yana Santos
There’s not a ton to say about this fight other than that the value is squarely on Chelsea Chandler. Despite less fights under her belt, she has the much better record, better jiu jitsu skills and Yana Santos is currently on the wrong end of a three fight losing streak.
Considering the overall skill level in this matchup is not very high, anything can happen however, there is definitely value on Chandler. For a safer pick in this matchup, I would take the fight to go to a decision at -300.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Chelsea Chandler UNANIMOUS DECISION
MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):
Chris Gutierrez vs Quang Le
This is one of the biggest mismtached on the entire card. With Chris Gutierrez only just outside of the Bantamweight rankings coming up against an opponent who despite having a perfect record, has not faced anyone close to the calibre of Gutierrez with his technique and high volume of strikes (4.80 SLpM).
After originally being matched up against Javid Basharat, Gutierrez accepted Le as a short-notice replacement to keep his fight on the card and even though he is not known for his power, against someone with a much lower skill level, there is a possibility that he could find the KO, however the more likely possibility is that Gutierrez peppers Le with strikes at distance and coasts to a decision win with a high amount of accumulated strikes.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Chris Gutierrez by UNANIMOUS DECISION (possible SECOND-ROUND KO)
MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):
Danny Barlow vs Nikolai Veretennikov
Danny Barlow is the definition of a heavy hitter. Of his last four fights, all came via KO with three coming in the first round. His positioning is excellent and one mistake by his opponent and it’s simply game over.
His opponent Nikolai Veretennikov is a Contender Series alum who lost by quite a bit in his first bid at UFC glory. Since then he has found success in a league called the “United Fighting League” with three wins in three years, ultimately leading to his latest shot in the UFC.
However, he’s up against some stiff competition tonight and unfortunately without proven success against top level opponents like Barlow, I don’t think it will go well for Veretennikov. I expect this fight to end early.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Danny Barlow FIRST-ROUND KO (possible THIRD-ROUND KO)
MY MAIN EVENT PREDICTION (CASH & GPP):
Marcin Tybura vs Serghei Spivak
Despite Tybura getting the better of Spivak in their first matchup, the fight itself came down to the tiny details. Tybura was able to out wrestle Spivak and hold on for the unanimous decision with over eight minutes of control time. With four more years of experience and six more wins under his belt, Spivak is a much more improved fighter and will paint a very different picture for tonight’s main event.
I’m expecting the action to start slow and for Tybura to shoot for takedowns early. If Spivak stays composed he’ll be able to use his faster strikes and power advantage to take control in the fight and possibly even find a late KO.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Serghei Spivak UNANIMOUS DECISION (possible FOURTH-ROUND KO).
