ROZENSTRUIK V GAZIEV
Welcome back, everyone! With last week’s wild action south of the border, we are back in the home of the UFC, Las Vegas, Nevada, for tonight’s UFC Fight Night Card! There will be a total of 11 fights with some great matchups throughout the card that will end with a fight between two UFC Heavyweight contenders who will be looking to break into the top 10. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!
SLATE STARTS AT 1:30 PM ET
Exposure to the main event is highly recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event. These fighters are usually both active, and they can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now, let’s get ready to make some money!
Tonight, I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 87 Rozenstruik vs Gaziev.
MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH & GPP):
Vinicius Oliveira vs Bernardo Sopaj
Unfortunately, there are not many great underdog plays on this card, but there was one value play that caught my attention. Vinicius Oliveira is coming in at nearly even money against Bernardo Sopaj. Both fighters in this matchup are making their UFC debuts and I think there will definitely be a lot of fire works in this one. Both Oliveira and Sopaj are heavy hitters and throw with a lot of volume. I see this fight staying on the feet, and I also see this one finishing before it gets to the judges’ cards. This fight may seem a little more even on paper but the big sticking points for me are that Oliveira has experience on the Dana White Contender Series, where he scored a nasty first-round KO and that Sopaj is coming in on short-notice. Watch for Oliveira to utilize leg kicks to limit Sopaj’s mobility and find the heavy shot that will end the fight.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Vinicius Oliveira SECOND-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION)
MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):
L’udovit Klein vs AJ Cunningham
In this matchup, we have another competitor coming in on short notice. Unfortunately for Cunningham, he is coming up against a top talent in the UFC lightweight division who has three wins and one draw over his last four fights. It would be a tough matchup for any fighter making their UFC debut, let alone on short notice. Klein is very good at mixing up his strikes and invests heavily in the kicks. Klein has also taken his opponents to the mat and showed off a good ground game. More than anything in this matchup is the difference in skill level. Klein is in a different level of competition, one that Cunningham simply isn’t ready for
MY UFC DFS PICK: L’udovit Klein by UNANIMOUS DECISION (possible SECOND-ROUND KO)
MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):
Umar Nurmagomedov vs Bekzat Almakhan
Khabib will be returning to the octagon, yet again as a coach, to corner his cousin and undefeated top 10 UFC bantamweight Umar Nurmagomedov. His opponent, Bekzat Almakhan, is making his UFC debut, and although he had a very good record coming into this fight, there is very little that could prepare him for the grappling that he will face in this matchup. Umar has a lot of power and could first start to stand and strike, but even if the fight ends up looking remotely close on the feet, the difference in skill level on the mat will be very apparent. Umar’s grappling is very similar to that of his cousin, good control of his opponents body with his head placement, superb wrist control and he will make Almakhan carry his weight for the entire time they are on the ground. Nurmagomedov’s grappling fundamentals and simply unbelievable and often too much for a seasoned UFC fighter to compete against, let alone a fighter making their UFC debut after competing in somewhat obscure fight promotions.
MY UFC DFS PICK: Umar Nurmagomedov FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION (possible SECOND-ROUND KO)
SUMMARY:
On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I am finally allowed to bet again on UFC as restrictions have now been lifted in my area. As such, I will play the Parlay of the Day. Remember, to take down a GPP; you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments. For any further questions, I will be available until lock in our WinDaily Discord chat. GOOD LUCK, and don’t forget to come back and Win Daily!
