Fight Night Bets & DFS for UFC Vegas 100

MAGNY V PRATES

Tonight, will be the long-awaited UFC Vegas 100, the UFC has put together a very interesting card and we have a lot of action to cover. We have 11 fights lined up for tonight’s card, with the main event featuring two welterweights looking to push into the UFC Welterweight rankings! There are great matchups all throughout the night, so be sure to check out the top picks and plays below! Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 4:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is highly recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event. These fighters are usually both active, and they can rack up a lot of points. There will be four top plays followed by best bets. Now, let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight, I’m here to give you my top four favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 100 Magny vs Prates.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH & GPP):

Klaudia Sygula vs Melissa Mullins

Despite a strong start to her UFC career, things have seemingly begun to unravel for Mullins who has weighed-in over her contracted limit for her second straight fight.

After failing to make weight in her fight against Nora Cornolle, she came in as a heavy favorite, proceeded to get out struck in a round where she held her opponent to the ground for most of the round and got knocked out via a knee to the body.

Mullins was also knocked down in her first UFC fight but was able to secure a 29-28 decision win after grappling her way through two rounds.

Mullins opponent tonight, Klaudia Sygula is coming in on short notice but has been very successful as of late coming off of her third straight victory by finish including one in May of this year. Sygula has very clean striking and is a BJJ purple belt but will have to do everything she can to avoid Mullin’s grappling. If Sygula can keep the fight on the feet, I think she will have a good chance to secure a victory in this matchup.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Klaudia Sygula by UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Elizeu Zaleski vs Zach Scroggin

Zaleski will be competing in his 16th UFC fight, more than double the number of fights that his opponent has had throughout his professional career.

This will not be the first time that Zaleski has taken on a competitor making his UFC debut as we saw his take on and defeat both Luigi Vendramini and 14th-ranked lightweight Benoit Saint-Denis in their respective UFC debuts. In both cases, Zaleski was able to use his experience to capitalize off of his opponent’s technical mistakes while landing devastating strikes.

Despite Scroggin having an undefeated record, he has not fought anyone even close to the skill level of Zaleski and oftentimes found himself mismatched against a much worse opponent. Expect Scroggin to get caught on the backfoot early with Zaleski’s high striking output (4.3 SLpM). Also of note is that Scroggin weighed-in three pounds over the contracted limit, a terrible sign for a fighter making their UFC debut.

Zaleski may find the finish early on in the fight, but he will be one step ahead of Scroggin for the whole duration of their fight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Elizeu Zaleski by SECOND-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION)

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Mansur Abdul-Malik vs Dusko Todorovic

Dusko Todorovic has had a very rough tenure in the UFC, having been out of action for over a year and a half, largely due to multiple ACL injuries in his left knee, his ring rust will be apparent against the debutant Mansur Abdul-Malik.

Abdul-Malik is sporting an impressive 6-0-0 record following a wild back-and-forth Contender Series bout that saw him defend six takedowns while ultimately finding the finish with elbows from mount towards late in the second round.

Abdul-Malik is an explosive fighter with heavy strikes and very high striking output landing at a 5.38 SLpM (strikes landed per minute) clip throughout his Contender Series win.

Todorovic also has not had a strong run in the octagon with a 2-4 record over his last six fights including three first round KOs. I expect Abdul-Malik to have a similar performance here, putting Todorovic away early with some heavy strikes.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Mansur Abdul-Malik by FIRST-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION)

MY MAIN EVENT PREDICTION (CASH & GPP):

Carlos Prates vs Neil Magny

At 37 years of age, Magny is now heading towards the tail end of his career, especially after having now fallen out of the top 15 of the welterweight division. Prates on the other hand is looking to make his way up the rankings with 10 straight victories including three ‘Performance of the Night’ bonuses all coming in 2024 he was able to secure a UFC contract following impressive performance on the Contender Series late in 2023).

Although Magny has been able to turn back the clock on a few occasions, he has had to rely on his distance strikes and speed throughout his career. In this matchup, Prates nearly matches Magny in both height and reach while Magny’s speed has slowed down considerably since his younger years.

Make no mistake, with this being his fourth fight of 2024, Prates is firmly in his prime and will be looking to continue his stellar run with another performance of the night worth finish here against Neil Magny

MY UFC DFS PICK: Carlos Prates by SECOND-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION.)
