I know this pick may come as a shock to some. However, Oliveira has proven to be a real problem in the UFC.
For example, in his last fight against Ricky Simon, he stuffed 9 of Simon’s 11 takedown attempts, only giving up a total of 31 seconds of control time while also landing a takedown of his own and significantly outstriking Simon across all three rounds.
Simon is no joke. He is one of the best wrestlers in the Bantamweight division, and Oliveira ran through him like it was his first time in an octagon. Not to mention, Oliveira’s highlight reel finishes over both Bernardo Sopaj (flying knee) and Victor Madrigal (1st round KO).
Said Nurmagomedov often relies on a slow pace in fights to allow him to ease into the fight and take down his opponent if the opportunity presents itself. However, against Oliveira, he simply will not have that time. Oliveira will push the page right away, and Nurmagomedov’s 16% takedown accuracy will not be enough to get him out of danger on the feet.
Look for Oliveira to get active early on in the fight, stuff some early takedown attempts, and push a high pace that Nurmagomedov will struggle to keep up with.

Kaan Ofli vs Muhammad Naimov
After rewatching Ofli’s UFC debut last year, I am honestly shocked that he is still in the octagon. His debut ended up being five minutes of getting beat down in the first round and then getting knocked out about a minute into the second round.
Despite coming off a loss, Naimov has built up quite a resume in the UFC, winning his other three fights, two of which came by knockout.
Naimov is a much better striker than Ofli then, when you mix in his takedown ability and impressive grappling, it’s all shaping up to be quite a disaster for Ofli. Expect Naimov to put tons of pressure on Ofli early in the fight and look for the finish against a more timid striker.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):
Terrance McKinney vs Damir Hadzovic
After a heartbreaking KO loss in his last fight, McKinney is back and has a glorious matchup on tonight’s card. Hadzovic’s last win came nearly four years ago, and he is stepping back into the octagon for the first time in 2 1/2 years at 38 years of age. It’s safe to say that this is a recipe for disaster.
Even a fresh Hadzovic with no ring rust would have trouble with McKinney’s striking speed and frequent takedowns. That is why I am very confident in McKinney tonight.
He will show the fans in Saudi Arabia right off the bat that he is a much better fighter and will put on a show for the fans, given that his average fight time in the UFC is 3 minutes long.

MY MAIN EVENT PREDICTION (CASH & GPP):
Israel Adesanya vs Nassourdine Imavov
I know for some, it may be hard to go back to the well on Izzy after letting us down against Strickland and Du Plessis. However, the fact still remains that Adesanya is one of the best middleweights in UFC history. Although, Imavov has put together a few good wins as of late, he is in a tough spot tonight against Izzy. Although their striking output is similar, Israel’s advantage comes with his impressive kickboxing and his 5-inch reach advantage.
Izzy will be able to keep the fight at distance and tag Imavov with both long range striking and kicks to push back against any takedown attempts.
Ultimately, I see this fight looking like a much more recognizable Adesanya fight, where Israel tags his opponent and points his way to a decision win.
