Farmers Insurance Open Final Ownership Projections
Welcome to the Win Daily Sports Farmers Insurance Open Final Ownership Projections. This weeks contest will be played on two different courses but they will only play the easier 7200 yard north course once, and the 7750 + yard south course three times, and the south course will be home to the 2021 U.S. Open, so guess which one is more difficult. The staff was together earlier and we were discussing the wind late Thursday and most of Friday, Sia thinks (as do I) that if you target your team starting on the north course, it’s much easier to go into that wind on a harder course if you have a few birdies and a negative score in relation to par, also this Poanna grass “blooms” from the very early afternoon until around 500 PST, so there will be some 3 feet putts missed late in the day. Long hitters will be rewarded if they’re accurate and they can scramble and putt to some degree.
There was a great livestream show last night, we found out we have a new sponsor called Blue Chew (promo code WINDAILY). Michael Rasile was talking about getting wood in the morning, and it isn’t a 3 wood. This is apparently some great stuff that’s super inexpensive and works as well as its competition. I’m sure Michael had a truckload shipped to his house, and there is no truth to the rumor his new bride is going to stay at her mom’s for a bit to……recuperate. Michael said he was here strictly for the chaos, I believe from the neck up he’s all chaos, from the waist down he’s smooth as silk, (see first sponsor) and can now make a hard point (new sponsor) concerning any debate. (think Pinocchio)………(no, further down)
Harry Higgs is a hot topic again, Sia suggested that we be careful, Harry would have to walk the entire 7750 south course on his own, Michael thought that was a little over the top until he said something like, “can his caddy just roll him from hole to hole?” If Patrick “Sharps” Scott ever switches allegiance from Mori to Higgs, the only poster he needs to put up is the Pillsbury dough boy. I saw where some people on social media were debating Matt Wolff’s swing, pure was a word never used, I feel it’s kind of like going to a French restaurant and having great frog legs, when you’re in the parking lot about to leave you notice a bunch of tiny frogs coming out of the back door on crutches, the process isn’t pretty, but the end result is mighty tasty.
Let’s get down to The Farmers Insurance Open Final Ownership Projections!
Leading the pack is Jon Rahm, currently at 25.8%++ ( plus is rising) the reason is Data Golf/Vegas Sharps/SIP give him a better than 2 to 1 shot of being in the optimal lineup with the exception of 1 golfer, Rory McILroy. This is in spite of him changing club manufacturers, and a rumor his withdrawal from a “minor back tweak” a week ago may have been about adjusting to the new clubs (rust), that being said, it makes him a strong entry regardless of price and ownership at those numbers.
The next highest owned golfer is Xander Schauffele at 22.9%, even though this is his home course, and he has played it “over 100 times”, he has missed 4 out of 5 cuts, Sia made a point about him playing all those rounds with no huge crowds, bleachers, VIP tents, etc. and this year due to Covid, it will look as it did when nobody knew who he was. I can’t spend 10,400 on a golfer who’s missed 80% of the cuts at this venue. Next is Rory McILroy at 20.2%, he is the main threat to Rahm.
Next, surprise, is Gary Woodland at 19.2%, not interested anywhere near that ownership. Hideki Matsuyama follows at 18.3%, I’ll have a few shares of him. Next is Ryan Palmer at 16.3%, he was projecting at 20% or better, our program noted some of his shares moved to Woodland, perhaps to save 600 on salary, I’ll take a lot of Palmer at 16.3% owned. Next, surprise, is Corey Conners at 16% ,hmm, no. Harris English is 15%, and yes, I’ll take it.
Cameron Davis and Toney Finau are presently tied at 14.9%, mostly due to Davis’s driving ability and Finau’s recent and course history. Adam Scott is 13.8% and a solid play. Matthew Wolff is 13.5%, Billie Horschel and Scottie Scheffler are tied at 13.2%, Victor Hovland comes in at 13.1%. Marc Leishman is 12% and one of Joel’s (DraftMasterFlex) biggest plays. Jason Kokrak, Sungjae IM, and Patric Reed are all 10.7%, you don’t normally see Kokrak next to names like Reed and Sungjae IM. Cameron Smith rounds out this group at 10% ownership.
Golfers Under 10% Projected Ownership
Bubba Watson almost made the group above, presently he is at 9.9725%. Jason Day follows at 9.4%, Si Woo Kim is 9.2%, John Huh is 9%, Taylor Gooch is 8.8%, I like him again, Charley lll sticks (CH lll) is 8.4%, Wyndham Clark is 8.3%, Sam Burns is 8.2%, Cameron Champ is 8.1%, Will Zalatoris is 7.9%, Brooks Koepka is 7.7%, he fired his swing coach, guess he doesn’t need one since he’s doing so well missing cuts. Fransisco Molinari is 7.2%, Rickie Fowler is 7.1%, Max Homa is 7%, Joel Dahmen is 6.3%, Cameron Tringale is 6%, Luke List is 5.7%, a sleeper, Harry Higgs, sponsored by Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, and Your Too Fat, Screw It, is 5.5%, Matt Jones is 5.4%, Patrick Rodgers is 5.2%.
Golfers Under 5% Projected Ownership
Lanto Griffin is 4.9%, Emiliano Grillo and Russel Knox are 4.8%, Brandt Snedeker is 4.6%, Doug Ghim is 4.5% owned, even with his plain name, MacKenzie Hughes and Kevin Streelman are 4.3%, James Hahn is 4.2%, I like Hahn, and think Streelman is very sneaky, Martin Laird is 3.8%, J.B. Holmes is 3.7% and Joel mentioned him as a punt, he is tied along with Tom Hoge at 3.7%. Scott Stallings is 3.6%, Harold Varner lll is 3.5% owned, Doc Redman, Rory Sabbatini, and Will Gordon are 3.3% owned, Jhonattan Vegas is 3.2% owned, Maverick McNealy and Dylan Frittelli are 3.1%, Lucas Glover and Charlie Hoffman are 2.9% owned, Alex Noren is 2.8%, Justin Suh is 2.7%, Jordan Spieth and Eric Van Rooyen (EVR) are 2.4%, Jordan Spieth is lower owned than Justin Suh, hmmmm. Henrik Norlander is 2.3%, Richie Werenski is 2.1%, B. An and Kyle Stanley are 2% owned.
Golfers Under 2% Projected Ownership
Beau Hossler is 1.8% owned, Ryan Moore and Anirban Lahiri are 1.5% owned, Tyler McCumber is 1.3%, Phil Mickelson and Adam Hadwin are 1% owned. All other golfers at the time of this report are under 1% owned, including J.T. Poston , Peter Malnati, and Matthew NeSmith which are .9% owned. Even though Phil is just 1% owned, remember this is not a Champions tourney, it’s a real, big boy, PGA tourney. I love him, but he needs to go make 20 mill a year at the seniors Champions circuit.
Farmers Open Picks:
My top plays are Rahm, Rory and English.
My mid level plays are Jason Day and Ryan Palmer
My lower level plays are Hoge, Straka and List
My out in left field play is Robert Streb, he is 6400, nobody is on him, this is a RISKY contrarian play.
