11/2 EPL – Main Slate
Southampton (+2400) at Manchester City (-1100)
Here we are at the top of November where you can begin to look at the table and the two time defending Premier League Champions sit six points/two wins short of Liverpool. Facing Southampton at the Etihad, Manchester City is easily the biggest favorites on the slate. This game starts with most of the other games before lock so thankfully we will know who is in for Manchester City, which tends to be the biggest issue with using them.
Midweek, it was Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus weirdly playing together up front with Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva in as well. Therefore, logic would suggest we will see the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva but who again knows. No matter what 3-4 attackers are in you will want your fair share as they collectively have the highest upside on the slate and should be chalk. As for Southampton, the defenders are great plays on FanDuel as they should rack up clearances, but that’s about it.
Liverpool (-270) at Aston Villa (+700)
Since their promotion to the Premier League this year, Villa has done a solid job picking off some of the Premier League’s less interesting teams. I don’t think this is a bad team as they have a variety of options we would normally look at in DFS. However, even at home they are simply out of their weight class here. That said, I don’t know if Liverpool blows the doors open like I would expect Manchester City to in their matchup. I think that the likes of Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane get some ownership on FanDuel (15% or so?) and Trent Alexander-Arnold gets his usual chalk ownership on DraftKings. However, they are a clear 1B in this spot as Villa should try their best to keep it competitive.
Chelsea (-160) at Watford (+370) – LATE GAME
If you want a GPP dart, Chelsea might fit the bill. This team is a less upside version of Manchester City with all of their lineups, and the fact that this is the late game adds to the uncertainty. Last weekend, one of their young guns Callum Hudson-Odoi was lifted for another, the American Dream, Christian Pulisic. Pulisic ended up with a career day, not only scoring his first EPL goal but tearing off a hat trick to break the slate. Both Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic played mid week in Chelsea’s FA Cup match with Manchester United “Micah Batshuayi played striker” so more likely than not it will be the trio of Tammy Abraham up top alongside Willan and Mason Mount on the wings.
If stacking or running one or two players from this game I would devise a backup plan who to swap to if one is out. As a result, though, I expect them to go lower owned than they might be otherwise. You already know my feelings on Watford, who still have yet to win a game this season. That said, they have been sacrificing offense for draws as of late. I wouldn’t expect them to be able to pull that off versus some of the EPL’s better teams.
Wolves (+370) at Arsenal (-145)
Arsenal rested most of their main guys mid week in the FA Cup allowing the young talent Gabriel Martinelli a rare start at striker and Mesut Ozil a spot start at the #10/attacking midfielder role. The top play from Arsenal on FanDuel if not both sites, as per the usual is striker Pierre Emerick-Aubeyemang. However, Alexandre Lacazette is back healthy so their use as a double forward combo takes away some of his previous autonomy in the attack. Most of Arsenal’s issues lie on the defensive end. If stacking as a tournament stack I’d just pick one of the forwards or run both and leave it at that. As for Wolves, I don’t mind Raul Jimenez’s price on DraftKings so I think that makes for an interesting GPP play given Arsenal’s leaky defense.
Norwich City (+350) at Brighton (-140)
Bleh. Norwich has looked absolutely awful as of late, enough to make you want to “Pukki” in a garbage can. Pascal Gros is normally fine on DraftKings where he can rack up points from crosses although I wouldn’t expect another goal and with Leandro Trossard back, think it is an overspend at his elevated price. If Leandro Trossard is back his price is a solid value on FanDuel at $13. Gros is cheap on FanDuel as well at $11, and Neal Maupay has been better as of late then some more heralded strikers. It’s fine, I just think there are better spots but in a large field tournament they will be 5-10% so I get using 1-2.
Newcastle (+300) at West Ham (-115)
Another team like Manchester City or Chelsea where the production is coming from all the place. Felipe Anderson usually provides some value on FanDuel but there’s also center forward Sebastian Haller, winger Andy Yarmalenko and then someone like Robert Snodgrass or Manuel Lanzini pumping crosses. Newcastle is trash but normally doesn’t get blown up so this could be an uneventful 1-0 or 2-1 win for West Ham.
Burnley (+245) at Sheffield United (+120)
This entire game is a hard pass on the 11/2 EPL slate except for both Dwight McNeil as a cash forward and Ashley Westwood as a salary saver on DraftKings. No one will have anyone from this game so if Jay Rodriguez/Chris Wood or Ashley Barnes scores two goals at 2% ownership, it shouldn’t ruin your day. I feel bad for all the people who spent their hard earned pounds to watch this game as it should be a really boring one.

Sergio Aguero – Over 26.5 Fantasy Points – This is just over a goal and an additional shot on goal. It should be very doable for the Manchester City forward if he draws the start as expected.
Raul Jimenez – Over 10.5 Fantasy Points – This is only two shots on goal and one small stat elsewhere. The Mexican striker should at least be able to get that much.
