SD@BAL Allen vs. Yacabonis
John Cena has always liked baseball. I once watched him strike someone out on three pitches with a wiffle ball inside of an empty arena before load-in at Massachusetts.
Six degrees of separation brings us to Logan ALLEN and he could be a fun DFS play.
Allen went seven innings and threw 90 pitches in his last, and first outing. The Orioles strike out a ton. He may be a value to get you some points.
For Baltimore, Yacobonis is a fun name to say but he won’t pitch more than three innings.
TOR@NYY Richard vs. Green
My gosh, the Yankees are fun to watch. They score runs in bunches. They have scored the second most runs in the league and are fifth in OPS.
Translation : Any kind of NYY BAT stack here would be a good DFS play.
Watch the weather though, may be a wet day in New Yawk.
NYM@PHI Lockett vs. Arrieta
What is the greatest jersey number of all time ?
I opt for the number worn by Don Mattingly, Michael Jordan, Bobby Nystrom, David Beckham, LeBron James AND….. Mets starter, Walker Lockett’s 2019 ERA .
It was only one start but it was six runs over two and a third innings and it was a cool way to get here: the Mets pitching staff is bad.
The team ERA is at the bottom third of the league They are in the top third of hits allowed, runs against, and earned runs against in La Liga.
PHILLIES BAT DFS stack and an ARRIETA play may be an option here.
Watch the weather up and down the Eastern seaboard.
CWS@BOS Banuelos ( tentative) vs. Price
Another interesting game. Price is intriguing but the ChiSox aren’t easy to pick on in DFS and after the game leaves Price’s hand can he really control anything ? The White Sox bats are present.
Keep an eye on the weather. NO PLAY
WSH@MIA Scherzer vs. Richards
I want everything here. I want dramatic movie music and Sam Elliot to narrate Max SCHERZER walking to the mound with a freaking black eye.
Yes, I want him to decimate every batter. It is indeed a chalky DFS play and this is baseball and anything can happen, but hopefully that “ anything” is 14 strikeouts.
TEX@DET Chavez vs. Zimmerman
A TEX BAT DFS stack could be a nice play here. Check the prices of some of those Rangers bats and compare to other bats and add accordingly.
I can’t promise you that Chavez will give you innings, if I could he would be a DFS play as well.
KC@CLE Sparkman vs. Bieber
Here is a fun stat : Last time out versus Minnesota, Glenn Sparkman threw 91 pitches, 61 went for strikes.
Sparkman isn’t one to sleep on and I would stay away from that side.
THE BIEBS could be a DFS play though ,so keep an eye on it if you need an alternative take, as he is certainly a guy that I am eyeing at a softer price than some of the chalkier hurlers of the day.
ATL@CHC Fried vs. Alzolay
Good teams, good pitchers, good game to stay away in DFS. NO PLAY
TB@MIN Snell vs. Gibson
Which Snell do we get ? This is another game with two good teams. I stay away. NO PLAY
PIT@HOU Cole vs. Williams.
Old friends meet again as Cole starts against his old club.
This should be standard COLE and he has to be in play along with an ASTROS bat stack in DFS.
This is the type of night where you can get blinded by the size of the DFS slate, don’t lose sight of the obvious.
SEA@MIL Gonzales vs. Davies
Gonzo is a fly ball pitcher stack MIL BATS here, please.
OAK@STL Bassitt vs. Flaherty
Both of these teams have had the back end of their bullpens blown out and it’s not as fun as it sounds. While there could be some value in a FLAHERTY DFS play here I would feel more comfortable playing a guy like Bieber- but that’s just me.
LA@AZ Stripling vs. Ray
While the Dodgers have pretty much assumed their place against the Yankees in Oct, Robbie Ray still isn’t a guy I would want to attack in DFS. There is NO PLAY here for me today.
COL@SF Gonzalez vs. Bumgarner.
The Rockies will start Alexander “ChiChi” GONZALEZ at the Giants.
There is a park favorability here, there is lineup favorability, don’t be surprised if you build a monster bat DFS lineup and finish it off with a little Chi Chi.
Flip side: Bumgarner is Bumgarner but the Rockies bats are good enough for me to stay away.
CIN@LAA Mahle vs. Heaney.
Heaney is a guy I have I moved on from. He went from striking out 28 over his first three to just four over his last two. Cmon, guy. Don’t do that to me. Especially when Trout is doing his thing.
I want to root for this Angels team so very much and they just need a pitcher to get me invested.
I think an ANGELS BAT DFS stack could be a play here to finish off a lineup with a decently priced starter.
