First Base; Rowdy Tellez – Toronto Blue Jays
I love the power upside here especially in Coors. Tellez has shown the massive pop in his bat and Jon Gray has shown he will implode at any moment.
Second Base; Kike Hernandez – Los Angeles Dodgers
Kike against a lefty? Sign me up against Cole Irvin. I know he has been struggling, but I think he gets back on track against a bad lefty. I think the Dodgers are in for a field day here.
Third Base; Justin Turner – Los Angeles Dodgers
Justin Turner is a phenomenal hitter and against a lefty he is pure gold. Cole Irvin is not good at all.
Shortstop; Paul DeJong – St Louis Cardinals
I love playing DeJong against a lefty as it always seems to work in my favor. Jose Quintana has been up and down this season and I think the Cardinals hang a crooked number on him in this one.
Outfield; Jose Martinez – St Louis Cardinals
It seems like all my favorite plays against lefties are just falling into place here. Jose Martinez in his career against a lefty is a .338 hitter with a 39.8% hard hit rate. I’ll call my home run here.
Outfield; Marcell Ozuna – St Louis Cardinals
A career .295 hitter against lefties is what I have my eyes on. A very exceptional hitter against a bad pitcher is a gold mine. Hitting in the heart of one of my stop stacks? Gimme, gimme.
Honorable Mentions;
Every Rockies player, mostly Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story and Daniel Murphy. I tried to give you guys not so obvious plays.
Top Stacks;
1.) Colorado Rockies
Marcus Stroman comes into Coors with his low strikeout rate which will mean the ball will be put in play, and that’s a very bad sign for Stroman.
2.) St Louis Cardinals
I think Jose Quintana is terrible, The Cardinals are exceptional against left-handed pitching, it helps that they lean mostly right-handed. I love the spots for Ozuna, Martinez and DeJong as mentioned above. Quintana is going to be in for a rough night.
3.) Houston Astros
This is my overlooked offense of the night. I think everyone will hop on the Coors game and these Astros will hold no ownership. I love Alex Bregman against a lefty at any point in his life. Also, Michael Brantley is an exceptional hitter against anyone so I love him too. I don’t think Brett Anderson is good at all and he’s going to get lit up here. I don’t care about the night game in Oakland backstory, take these Astros.
