Today offers a four-game main slate, so we’ll place the focus of the NBA DFS Sunday Night Positional Breakdown on those. Yes, there are two afternoon games, but main slate’s gonna main slate.
IMPORTANT: NBA DFS is completely different than any other sport. Players get ruled out five minutes before games and you HAVE TO BE READY to pivot. I will update this article as close to lineup lock as possible with any big news, but play it safe and stay on top of the news yourself. Hanging out in our Discord Chat is a great way to keep up to date.
I did my research on DraftKings today. The players can be used on both sites, but I refer to DraftKings pricing.

BCW’s Core Plays and Values by Position
*11/17 NBA DFS Core Plays/PG
*Jrue Holiday, Pelicans, $8400: Must start play here, as the Warriors are last in defensive rating and 29th in scoring defense. Golden State is also without PG/SG D’Angelo Russell, making this a strong play with Holiday and the sixth-highest scoring team in the Association.
*Trae Young, Hawks, $9400
*Jamaal Murray, Nuggets, $6700
*Ja Morant, Grizzlies, $6500
*Value: Alec Burks, Warriors, $4900: Per 40 minutes, Burks averages 22.1 points, 6.1 boards and 3.3 assists. Expect his Usage rate of 20.9 to take a significant hike as long as Russell is sidelined.
*11/17 NBA DFS Core Plays/SG
*Bradley Beal, Wizards, $9600: The pickings are slim at the position tonight, so you’re almost forced to play Beal. Orlando has the league’s best scoring defense (99.2) and their deliberate style will cheat the Wizards out of possessions. However, Beal has games of 62.25 and 68.75 DKP in his last two games, so there’s also a great chance Beal will make the most of his 34.3 Usage rate.
*Evan Fournier, Magic, $6000: Wizards are 28th in scoring defense.
*Dillon Brooks, Grizzlies, $5100
*Glenn Robinson III, Warriors, $4500: Told you it was slim here.
*Value: Markelle Fultz, Magic, $4500: He’s beginning to get more of the minutes in the timeshare with D.J. Augustine at the point. He’ll qualify as the 2 at DraftKings and could line up for 30-35 DKP against a Wizards defense second only to the Warriors in defensive rating.
*11/17 NBA DFS Core Plays/SF
*LeBron James, Lakers, $10,700: LBJ has given DK users at least 52 Fantasy points in four of his last six games. I’ll bank on five of seven when he faces a Hawks team that is 25th in defensive rating and 24th in scoring defense. James is putting up a Usage rate of 33.5, which would be a career-best if it holds up. The hammer he dropped on Friday night is a reminder he’s still the best player in the league.
*Jonathan Isaac, Magic, $5900 (LISTED AS OUT)
*Kenrich Williams, Pelicans, $5400: Also qualifies at PF. I love him if the Pels are without Brandon Ingram for a fourth straight game.
*Jabari Parker, Hawks, $7200
*Value: Eric Paschall, Warriors, $5000: Good opportunity for above-average production in a game that has the night’s highest O/U at 227.5.
*11/17 NBA DFS Core Plays/PF
*Anthony Davis, Lakers, $9200
*Aaron Gordon, Magic, $6600: I’ve been cold on Gordon early in the season, but love him against a Wizards team that ranks last in defensive rebounding percentage. There’s double-double upside here.
*Draymond Green, Warriors, $6200
*Paul Millsap, Nuggets, $5800
*Value: Moritz Wagner, Wizards, $5200: If you predicted Wagner would put up 58.25 DKP on Friday, you’re lying and your friends don’t like you. That said, that performance should offer him more minutes. Don’t count on 13-for-15 from the field again, but the rebounds will be there.
*11/17 NBA DFS Core Plays/C
*Nikola Vucevic, Magic, $8200: Vucevic comes into tonight’s game against the Wizards with six straight double-doubles. He also has five blocked shots in his last three games and the Wizards’ pace will offer the potential of extra rebound attempts. Vucevic is a better value than Anthony Davis ($9200) and Nikola Jokic.
*Nikola Jokic, Nuggets, $8700
*Thomas Bryant, Wizards, $6300
*Jonas Valanciunas, Grizzlies, $6400
*Value: Jaren Jackson, Grizzlies, $5500: More athletic than Valanciunas, Jackson will likely get the assignment of facing Jokic. Jackson will be able to play Jokic on the perimeter and will be able to get his share of looks at the basket.
