Wednesday was an even better day than Tuesday as we went 2-1 with a big underdog. That leaves us with a 7-3-1 mark over the history of this MLB Betting column.
The most important thing to remember when betting on baseball is finding underdogs as it takes a 52.4 percent success rate at -110 just to break even. This column will offer a mixture of mid to short favorites (-110 to -160) as well as underdogs at +200 and below.

He faces a Cardinals offense with a 23 percent strikeout rate, .155 ISO alongside a wOBA of .294 this season against right-handed pitching.
Right-hander Adam Wainwright (3-4, 4.22) is the Cardinals probable starting pitcher tonight and over his last 17 innings pitched has allowed 10 earned runs with 15 punchouts. He’s up against a Reds offense with a 22.4 percent strikeout rate with a .181 ISO and .334 wOBA against righties this season.

Thursday marks game one of a four-game scheduled series with tonight being their first meeting of the season.
Righty Zach Davies (2-2, 4.65) is the Cubs scheduled starting pitcher and over his previous 15 innings of work has allowed four earned runs with seven strikeouts. He will face a Giants offense with a 27.7 percent strikeout rate, .182 ISO and .313 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season.
Right-Hander Anthony DeSclafani (4-2, 3.65) is set to face the Cubs and over his previous 14.1 innings pitched has surrendered 12 earned runs with 13 strikeouts. He’s up against a Chicago offense with a 25.1 percent strikeout rate with a .161 ISO and .313 wOBA against righties this season.
