Al’s Fight Night Deep Dive for UFC Vegas 52

UFC VEGAS 52

LEMOS V ANDRADE

We’re back with another deep UFC card this weekend. Although it may not have a lot of names that are notable right away there are some really interesting matchups and some names to watch for the future. Today’s slate will start at 6:00 PM ET. After two title fights and the people’s main event last week we are coming into tonight with a lot of underrated plays and interesting matchups! Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12-fights that will end with a fight that has a lot of implications for the women’s strawweight division! Looking forward to breaking this one down! Let’s get started!

SLATE STARTS AT 6:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event (and co-main) is acceptable. DFS production in these fights are usually be high as they are five-round fights. I may be branching away from the Main Event for some of my lines due to the low activity among these fighters. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 52 Lemos vs Andrade

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Amanda Lemos (+175) (DK 7300) (FD $15) vs. Jessica Andrade (-210) (DK 8900) (FD $22).

For most, Lemos is largely unknown, only recently cracking the top ten rankings in the women’s strawweight division. That’s why I’m not surprised that she’s coming in as the underdog against a known veteran in Andrade. Andrade has fought the best of the best, she became champion after a nasty slam win over Rose Namajunas but has largely come up short after that effort, including losing a strongly contested rematch to the current Strawweight champion. Both these fighters have similar fighting styles, very strike heavy but can work on the ground if need be. Both fighters have very high Strikes Landed per Minute Rates (SLpM) and close strike differentials, meaning they both throw out a lot of strikes and absorb almost as much. Lemos is coming into this fight on a five fight winning streak with five knockdowns over her last four fights. Her last fight was a very impressive statement win over Angie Hill and the UFC have rewarded her with the biggest test of her career, Jessica Andrade. Lemos has ran straight through most of her UFC opponents and this fight will be the opportunity for Lemos to prove that she belongs in the top 5 and the title conversation for the strawweight division. I’ve been impressed with Lemos’ strike speed and agression, both of which have brought Andrade to where she is today. Andrade to her part has had a rocky road at the top as of late, as she as dropped three of her last five fights (against Shevchenko, Weili and Namajunas aka the best of the best). She also had a very convincing win in her last fight out and definitely has something to prove against Lemos. I think this will be a very entertaining and close matchup with Lemos eventually being able to use her added height and reach to her advantage. This has the makings of a true classic and I cannot wait.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Amanda Lemos (+175) (DK 7300) (FD $15). UNANIMOUS DECISION (possible SECOND-ROUND KO). (5 ROUNDER)

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Alexandr Romanov (-1400) (DK 9600) (FD $23) vs. Chase Sherman (+800) (DK 6600) (FD $8).

This is Chase Sherman’s last fight in the UFC and this matchup is his walking paper. Sherman has dropped his last three fights, only beating Ike Villanueva in the UFC his losses came against Old Man Arlovski, Parker Porter and Jake Collier. Not exactly a who’s who of the heavyweight division. This fight however is against one of the biggest heavyweight prospects in the UFC with a perfect 15-0-0 record including a win against fellow heavyweight prospect Juan Espino. To put this as simply as possible, Sherman does not stand a chance. Romanov has excellent power, a surprisingly strong ground game for a heavyweight and crisp fight IQ. Not to mention, Sherman is coming into this fight on short notice after Tanner Boser dropped off this weekend’s card. Statistically, they’re not even close, Romanov easily edges out Sherman in all major stat categories. The only thing going for Sherman is his 77% takedown defence rate but he has not fought someone with the takedown abilities of Romanov. This will be another pit stop on Romanov’s rise to the top of the heavyweight division.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Alexandr Romanov (-1400) (DK 9600) (FD $23) FIRST-ROUND KO (possible FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION).

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Dean Barry (-2000) (DK 9500) (FD $21) vs. Mike Jackson (+1000) (DK 6700) (FD $9).

So… wow. Where do I even begin with this fight? First things first, Mike Jackson… Mike Jackson?!? What on earth is he doing in the UFC. The last time we saw him in the octagon, Dana White was pretty firm that he was going to be let go after his embarrassing performance against CM Punk. He was initially awarded the win but got popped post-fight and had his official record reverted back to 0-1-0, with his lone loss coming against Mickey Gall. Now, Mike Jackson hasn’t fought since that fateful night in 2018 and he actually had two fights fall through against his opponent on this card, Dean Barry so it’s only right that he comes back against him after four years away from the Octagon. Dean Barry is 4-1-0 in MMA with all four wins coming by first-round knockout, and I doubt much will change for this fight. This fight is going to be the definition of uncompetitive and all that we don’t know is exactly how long Jackson will last before Barry puts his lights out.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Dean Barry (-2000) (DK 9500) (FD $21) FIRST-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Clay Guida GPP -110 (DK 8200) (FD $16)

Montana De La Rosa +150 (DK 7200) (FD $10)

Charles Jourdain -125 (DK 8500) (FD $17)

Marc-Andre Barriault -220 (DK 8600) (FD $19)

Tyson Pedro -600 (DK 9300) (FD $21)

Aori Qileng -250 (DK 9100) (FD $20)

Marcin Prachnio -125 (DK 8400) (FD $18)

Evan Elder +100 (DK 8100) (FD $15) (Preston Parsons works too)

Sergey Khandozhko -125 (DK 8300) (FD $16)

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 3 UFC Parlays. I will be focusing on the three targets and my honorable mention fighters listed in my article to be a part of 99.9 percent of my lineups. Some fights in this slate are tricky to predict a winner and all fights are pretty close

in skillset as UFC fighters are the elite of the elite. I usually employ a hedging technique on the fights that are closer in odds. I’m focusing on building a GPP winning lineup.

I’m building lineups that can variate from the field and taking bigger risks tonight. I will use my core fighters (Locked-In, Honorable Mention) to be a staple in my DFS lineups, and I will build around them using the available salary with the remainder of my predicted winners. Remember, to take down a GPP; you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments. For any further questions, I will be available until lock in our WinDaily Discord chat. GOOD LUCK and don’t forget to come back and Win Daily!
