Al’s Deep Dive for UFC Vegas 86

HERMANSSON V PYFER

Welcome back, everyone! We are back with the second straight week of Vegas Fight Night action! We have some great matchups on tonight’s card with some undefeated talents and a lot of rising stars. There will be a total of 14 fights with some great matchups throughout the card that ends with a fight between two UFC Middleweights looking to break into the top 10 of the division. Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 4:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is highly recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I do not recommend branching away from the Main Event. These fighters are usually both active, and they can rack up a lot of points. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now, let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight, I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 86 Hermansson vs Pyfer

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Bogdan Guskov vs Zac Pagua

To start off the article, we have two light heavyweight’s hitting the octagon in the third fight of the night. Both of these fighters have had some missteps in their UFC careers and will be looking to bounce back with a win here tonight. Pagua has lost two of his three UFC fights while Guskov lost his UFC debut to Volkan Oezdemir last year. Volkan is a great fighter so having a loss against him is not a bad loss in my books. On the other hand, Pagua’s losses were way more revealing, he was slow, telegraphed a lot of his punches later in the fight and routinely let Bukauskas back into the fight with rookie mistakes. Pagua has some work to do in Fight IQ and against someone with the power of Guskov, it could end very badly for Pagua tonight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Bogdan Guskov SECOND-ROUND KO

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Carlos Prates vs Trevin Giles

Prates is coming off of a vicious straight left KO on the Contender Series last year after amassing a six fight win streak on the regional scene, which included 5 KOs with four in the first round. Prates is a vicious fighter and his high pressure fight style is perfect against someone like Giles. Trevin Giles is someone with a very low striking output who will try to wrestle when things aren’t going his way on the feet. Giles’ usually needs time to get settled into a fight and looks uncomfortable at times early on in fights. Against Prates, Giles doesn’t have the luxury to slowly ramp up his intensity. Prates’ heavy pressure style will be too much for Giles to handle. I see this fight ending very early.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Carlos Prates FIRST-ROUND KO

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Robert Bryczek vs Ihor Poteria

Bryczek is making his UFC debut after going on an insane fight five wining streak, where he secured first round knockouts in all of his last five fights. His opponent Poteria on the other hand has been struggling quite a bit since his win on the Contender Series back in 2021. Over that time, Poteria has had four fights, he lost three of them by KO and his only win came against a 41-year old Shogun Rua. It’s safe to say that Poteria’s time in the octagon has not been impressive. So, tonight, coming up against a heavy hitting fighter making his UFC debut after five straight 1st round KOs, it’ll be hard to see Poteria have any success in this one. I’ll be taking the Polish power with Robert Bryczek in the third-last fight of the night. (Poteria also weighed in 1.5 lbs over the limit)

MY UFC DFS PICK: Robert Bryczek SECOND-ROUND KO (possible FIRST-ROUND KO)

Dan Ige

Gregory Rodrigues

Michael Johnson

Armen Petrosyan
