Happy Money-Making Monday! And for all of you Philly fans, Happy MNF as we have the battle of Birds here in Philadelphia later this evening. Here at Win Daily Sports, we had a very solid weekend. For MLB, I nailed the top two arms on the board with Gore and Sanchez. We also put out a play for Sean Burke who produced a 4x day. The bats were tricky but pitching pushed most of our lineups into the green. We also hit on our only bet as the Guardians did enough to hold off the Rays, 2-0. So, let’s load up and get ready for a fast and furious last 2 weeks of baseball.
Both Jared and I will be posting articles during the week and have a central focus on both MLB betting and DFS. Today is my turn and I will provide you a centralized focus on betting, props and DFS plays.

PLUS PROP OF THE DAY –
DFS – 7:10PM SLATE
We’re looking at the 7:10pm slate today as that has the largest pool of games with 9.
Top Pitchers to Target:
PAUL SKENES ($9800 DK):
There was a theory that the Pirates would manage their phenom’s workload in the final month on the season. Instead, Skenes has come out in his first two starts in September as tossed a total of 198 pitches. To preserve the innings limit they have set, the Pirates have stretched out his starts as they’ve opted to a 6-man rotation. Which is fine for us DFS players because it gives us full throttle mode when the Pirates All Star takes the mound.
This is bad news for the Cardinals as they face Skenes for a 3rd time this season. They’re batting just 0.173 off the Pirates SP and scored just 2 runs in 14. 2 innings. They haven’t been lighting up the scoreboard either, as they have just 49 runs in September which is 26th best in baseball. Based on recent form from Skenes and the Cards bats, and the assurance that we’ll see upwards of 6 innings, we can safely deploy the potential NL ROY in our lineups tonight.
SHOTA IMANAGA ($9300 DK):
The Cubs season still has some meaning as sit 5 games out of the last Wild Card spot in the NL with 13 games left. It is a big mountain to climb, but they play 10 of their last 13 against teams with losing records. And the Mets and Braves, who they’re chasing, have a four-game series set for next weekend. So there is a sliver of hope in the Windy City.
Their opponent tonight makes the short drive up from the south end of the city as the A’s completed a weekend series with the White Sox. And it wasn’t a series to remember as they lost two of three to the Sox and scored just 11 runs. Combine that with the previous two series and Oakland is 29th in runs scored in the past 10 days.
Advanced stats show that Imanaga has gotten by with some luck as his FIP, xFIP and SIERA are all roughly 1 run higher than his 3.04 ERA. But the matchup here works as the A’s rank 25th in batting this season and have the 4th highest K rate. And that’s where we lock in the potential as Imanaga has the 4th highest K rate on the slate at 24.8%.
OTHER SP’S IN MY PLAYER POOL: SETH LUGO ($8700 DK), SEAN MANAEA ($8500 DK)
Value Pitchers to Target:
REID DETMERS ($7700 DK)
Detmers returned to the Angels lineup two weeks ago after missing 3 months based on performance issues. And he’s used that as motivation by returning with two quality starts and 18 K’s in 12 innings of work. Tonight, he gets another start and the opportunity to face the worst team in baseball in the White Sox. Besides the juicy matchup, advanced numbers love Detmers as his 5.64 ERA is met with a 3.80 xFIP. Additionally, his 27.2% K rate trails only Skenes, Yamamoto and Arrighetti. But the latter two have tougher matchups than Detmers and are priced much higher. So we’re sitting in a good spot with a pitcher on a mission to prove he belongs.
HONORABLE MENTION: REESE OLSON ($7000 DK), JONATHAN CANNON ($5000 DK)
Top Stacks to Target:
DIAMONDACKS:
We have the league’s highest scoring offense traveling to Colorado tonight. Which is a prime spot to use as the D’backs look to tee off in the higher altitude in Denver. Here’s another form of good news, the Rockies allow the most runs in the league and have the highest team ERA at 5.44. To me, the primary hitter to circle our stack around is Eugenio Suarez, Arizona’s 3B is batting 0.411 with 8 homers in his last 15 games. We also need some Christian Walker as he’s returned to the lineup with a bang batting 0.300 with 2 homers in the last week. I also will look to get Randall Grichuk, Ketel Marte and Adrian Del Castillo in a majority of my D’Backs stacks. If Pavin Smith plays, he will be a good salary relief to add as he’s batting 0.313 with 4 homers in the last 2 weeks.
Other Stacks to Consider: PHILLIES, METS, CUBS
