Synopsis:
Of the four CFB games on Friday, the one with the highest total is Louisville vs. NC State. The total for the game is 55 points. It’ll be the most popular of the four because of the total, but you can find ways to get different. Fading the QBs but playing skill position players can work to be different. One player that you need, even if chalk, is RB Jordan because he is the best RB on the slate.
BYU against Cincinnati can be a sneaky game to stack. Both teams have a top 50 passing offense, and although BYU has a solid pass defense, they have not played many top passing attacks. Jones rushing ability can prove beneficial for Cincy if he has any difficulty throwing early. On the other side, Slovis has been consistent, throwing for over 250 yards per game. The running edge does go to Cincy, as BYU has an average rush defense, so Kiner is a great play.
LTech against UTEP isn’t great for game stacking with both QBs, but they have pieces that can be used. UTEP’s Smith is the best WR in CFB but is dealing with an injury, so I have him lower on my “core” list. UTEP has a split backfield, but of the two, Burgess is the better runner and should have a better day. On the other side, LTech is dealing with injuries at the QB spot. It is unclear who is starting, but if Turner gets the start, he is a great value play. But no matter who starts, their top two WRs are in play, as both Harris and Allen can light up the scoresheet.
Utah against Oregon State is the worst for stacking because the Utah offense has struggled, but they have a good defense that can stop ORST. Although Utah does have a great defense, I still like Damien Martinez at RB because he has proven he can run on anyone.
Drago’s Best Bets:
- Utah vs Oregon State Under 44.5
- Cincinatti vs BYU Over 49.5
- Louisville -4.5
