1.) Texas Rangers
Miles Mikolas and the St. Louis Cardinals head to Texas to take on the Rangers. As soon as I saw Mikolas is pitching I immediately thought of how dreadful he is against left handed bats and away from St. Louis. On the road so far this season Mikolas holds a 5.14 ERA while giving up a .414 wOBA to lefties. I will be all over Joey Gallo, Nomar Mazara, Shin-Soo Choo, Willie Calhoun and add Rougned Odor if you want to fully stack it.
2.) St. Louis Cardinals
Let me start off by saying Adrian Sampson is God awful. He is even worse against right handed bats and the Cardinals are completely loaded with right-handed power bats. What also helps is that Sampson throws a ton of fastballs and the Cardinals demolish fastballs. Give me Marcell Ozuna, Paul DeJong, Paul Goldschmidt, and Matt Carpenter. I don’t mind a full game stack here at all.
3.) Los Angeles Dodgers
Anthony Desclafani has been serviceable this season, but I see him getting wrecked here. He is much worse against left handed bats and we have some elite lefties in this lineup. Start your stacks with Cody Bellinger, Corey Seager, Max Muncy and Joc Pederson. Would it be too much if I doubled down and called another Joc Pederson leadoff home run?
4.) Houston Astros
Rick Porcello has been a roller coaster this season and I think right now he’s on the downfall after a couple start high. The Astros are probably the hottest team in baseball and I’m all about backing them against a sub-par pitcher. Ride the hot hand of George Springer, Alex Bregman, Josh Reddick, Michael Brantley and Carlos Correa. I’m going to prioritize the lefties and Springer here. Porcello has a very tough time getting lefties out.
