Win Daily On Deck: Pregame Notes and Updates for 6/6

(Updated 6:32 PM EST)

Delino DeShields is back in the lead off spot. DeShields has the capability to really stack up those fantasy points, as he can steal a base or two while RBI and runs should not be at a premium. Texas is favored by -185 with an 11 under/over. In addition to L.A and N.Y, Texas is another stack that you’ll want high exposure to.

Lucchesi or Cobin? Close spread, low under/over – One takes it down, the other becomes bad chalk. The answer is…Joey Lucchesi. San Diego’s starter will be my go-to pitcher tonight, as he owns a 2.61 home ERA compared to a 6.75 ERA on the road. Also, Lucchesi comes in to this game red-hot over the month of May, posting a 2.97 ERA allowing a shockingly low .165 OBA. I’m sticking to my guns tonight and running high percentages of Lucchesi as well as Yankee and L.A stacks across the board.

Don’t sleep on the back end Yankee stack including Frazier, Urshela, Estrada and Maybin. Cheap salaries, high upsides.

(Updated 5:23 PM EST)

With the Angels locked in at 75% for me on this small slate, where to go next? Well I have two options, 1) Finish my lineup with a Yankee stack leaving me with minimal salary for pitching, or 2) Lock in a safe pitcher and see what I’m left with salary wise for my secondary stack. Only time will tell. Check back soon for an update.

Remember Ariel Jurado is exhibiting reverse splits so far this year, meaning the R/R match up in this one favors the batter opposed to the usual L/R or R/L favoring the batter. I wrote this, this morning, “Nunez is facing Ariel Jurado, who is allowing a .279 BA with four home runs to opposing right-handed batters, while allowing a mere .200 BA with no home runs to opposing lefties. We have ourselves some reverse splits here.” This has me on some very valuable Orioles including: Hanser Alberto, Renato Nunez, Trey Mancini and Dwight Smith Jr. I am currently waiting for the lineup but I’m confident we will see all four of these batters sitting atop the Orioles lineup.

The Los Angeles Angels Stadium, Angel Stadium of Anaheim has allowed a massive amount home runs so far this year. In fact, Angels Stadium is ranked third in the majors allowing 1.287 HR/game. Tonight, L.A faces Mike Fiers who is allowing a 6.37 ERA on the road compared to a 3.60 at home in Oakland. It seems that big stadium is helping Fiers because his away long ball numbers are just as bad as his ERA. Fiers is allowing a .274 BA on the road which is very high compared to his .196 BA allowed a home. Look out for a potential home run derby in Anaheim tonight. The Angels are favored by -175 with a 9.5 under/over.
