It was a cold day yesterday as we went 1-5 and -6 units on bets and props. That puts us at 41-22 on the month on props and bets. The monthly return is at +11.3 units.
Jared has you covered for DFS today so I’ll just post my favorite bets and props below.

MLB PROP BETS
ZACK WHEELER under 3.5 K’s (+110 DK):
Zack Wheeler returns to the Phillies rotation tonight and it will be a much needed boost for a team in the midst of a 5-game losing streak. Wheeler did not have a rehab start so he will be on a limited pitch count. The Jays are a team that did rough him up earlier this season and he only managed 4 K’s in that contest. The Jays are 27th in K rate in September as they strike out at just a 18.9% clip. This feels like an under based on the opponent and limited pitch count.
JESUS LUZARDO over 6.5 K’s (-130 DK):
This is a tough line to handicap. On one hand, Luzardo has only gone over 6.5 K’s twice in nine starts since his return to the rotation in August. But on the other hand, the Cubs average 10.5 K’s per game in their last 8. They have 20 K’s alone in two games against the Marlins this week. Plus they are 7th in K rate this month. So I’ll lean towards Luzardo going over this number tonight based on the Cubs propensity to rack up K’s.
TRISTAN MCKENZIE over 17.5 outs (-140 DK):
McKenzie has gone over this number is 8 of his last 10 starts. Additionally, the last time he faced the White Sox he went 7 innings and struck out 14. The White Sox have to be deflated after last night’s collapse and I think this is the end of the road for their season as McKenzie goes out and pitches a gem.
JAMES KAPRIELIAN over 1.5 BB’s (-130 DK):
Kaprielian has gone over this total in 15 of his 23 starts this season (65%). And he’s gone over this number in all 3 of his starts against Seattle. Add in the fact that Seattle is 6th in walk rate this month (11%) and this seems like a prop to smash tonight.
SF GIANTS over 2.5 runs F5 (-110 DK):
Rockies starter German Marquez has a 6.78 ERA at home. He’s allowed more than 2 ER’s in 12 of his 15 starts at home.
MIKE TROUT over 0.5 home runs (+270 DK) and 1.5 total bases (+110 DK):
Rangers starter Dane Dunning has 4 starts against LAA this season. Mike Trout has played in 3 of those and has 2 home runs off Dunning. Let’s make it 3 tonight as Trout tries to get to 40 HR’s for the 3rd time in his career.
